Still loving this place! They make their coffee using the beans from "groundwork." It's organic, full bodied and just perfect for this girl! My latte with oat milk was perfect today! I also ordered a banana muffin which was moist in the middle but had a crunchy muffin top! Not too sweet either! Perfection! They also serve tea and matcha here along with other types of pastries and food. There is a nice size room inside with plenty of tables to sit at. I prefer the outside Zen Garden area. *Small parking lot *Plenty of street parking

Food was great-came out hot and fresh on a reasonable timeline. Service was quick and efficient. The ambiance was nice-small setting with indoor and outdoor seating. Parking is a bit tricky but worth the effort. Had to ask for the afternoon menu, which was taken back and put away after I ordered, to find the Marie crunch roll I wanted, which is why I rated it 4 instead of 5 stars. Not sure why the menu wasn't readily available as it was afternoon.

It had been a several years since I last tried Marie et Cie but recently decided to try them again cause I remember enjoying them the few times I came before when I lived in the area. I got a simple BLT which came with a side of fries. The food was pretty good and everything tasted great. While the food is good and the restaurant offers generous outdoor seating there is simply a feeling that something is lacking from this resturant. It is counter service so you need to order at the register and then go pick up your food when it is ready, as well as bus your table. Nothing I normally mind personally but for me to recommend a place the lack of even a bus person lowers the worth of an establishment. If you are looking for a decent place to have some privacy, maybe work outside on a nice day and be in a peaceful setting, Marie et Cie might jsut be the place for you. Outside of that specific experience, I doubt I'll return.

Scott take a picture of the whole piece of quiche. But it was huge. Ordered a vegetable quiche and a large coffee. The people behind the counter were very nice and the quiche was very good. Though it was a little cold in the middle lovely outdoor seating and indoor seating as well. Been going to displaced for years and finally got around to leaving the review. Thanks for the yummy quiche.

Been visiting this little café in Shop since 1996 at the corner of Colfax and Riverside. The shop is filled with the most fascinating gifts and collectibles by individual artisans amazingly low prices. The café still offers a bountiful selection of French baked delicacies, sandwiches, and salads, accompanied by a range of coffees, teas and smoothies to suit just about anybody. Service feels like everything served by your brother or sister while cozy at home with your mom and dad. Weather inside or outside on the umbrella covered patio, this is an oasis. The gated in private parking lot usually has space for 80% capacity, but there is additional street parking available. there are a few similar style places down in Studio City, but this one is Valley Village's home.

First time at Marie et Cie. I just happen to drive by and noticed they have a little bakery and huge parking lot. I was looking for a new coffee shop and bakery in the San Fernando Valley to frequent. The place is very spacious and has ample of parking spots. They have dining tables inside and outside. It's a very quaint and cute place. The chandeliers hanging give you that classic feel. I love the set up. I didn't have any interaction with the 2 workers at the bakery since they didn't acknowledge me. I had to ask them if I can purchase some items and that's when the male worker said sure let me help you. I ordered the Key Lime Tart & French Apple Tart to go. I wanted to order coffee as well but they seemed like they didn't want to be bothered. The Key Lime Tart was delicious. It has the right amount of tanginess. The French Apple Tart was fulfilling and not too sweet. I liked the slices of apple on top.

Nice little bakery. Parking lot is very small only about 6 spots but there is street parking. Plenty of sweets wanted an eclaire but not for $8 lol. There are tables inside and outside. I guess you order at front then sit down. The employee at the counter was ok. She was kind of standing around, no greeting or offer to assist until we asked. There was a younger employee who was more than willing to helping and was nice. Customer service just needs work. We got a key lime tart and apple tart. Both tarts were ok. Not too sweet.

After telling a good friend, I really enjoy breakfast burritos he recommended. I try this place out. Nice hidden gem, parking is a little tight, but the location is great. Nice patios to sit on as well as not too loud. The staff was super friendly and took the time to explain the menu and side dishes. Got the breakfast burrito with steak and a side of sautéed potatoes with onions and peppers. Food was fresh and still steaming hot when I got it. The steak was cooked perfectly, the burrito was delicious and of course I ate all the potatoes, even though I was full. A generous portion for the money. Will definitely be back.

Marie et Cie is a very cute establishment. Not pictured are the vanilla latte and the New York coffee cake. Both of these items were very delicious and the location itself is incredibly cute and cozy. The only downside is that there is limited parking, so the lot gets full quickly and you have to resort to street parking.

OH MY GOOODNESSSSSSS! This place was delicious! First off, it was immaculate, with such phenomenal service. I loved it. I definitely will be going back. The ambiance was amazing. I was looking for a place like this for so long that made me feel like I'm in heaven and I finally found my go to spot. I loved the food, the vibes and the workers. I CANNOT WAIT TO GO BACK! You all must go!!!!

Cute French Cafe with delicious pastries, that's perfect for a weekend brunch with friends. They've been open for 25+ years, and it has a super chill vibe overall. Workers are friendly and accommodating. Menu items are priced reasonable and offer a lot of options. Iced coffee was great alongside the banana cream tart dessert. One of the best I've had. I ordered the lox bagel which was delicious however, it doesn't come presentable like in my photo. (I styled it that way) I personally had to spread my own cream cheese (from packets) and ask for capers on the side because they forgot them. At least the smoked salmon was a good amount. I think the DIY aspect justified the lower cost of it and it was tasty. BONUS: They are dog friendly!

We went up to the front and let them know the name we placed the order under and off we went. My wife and I opted to try their Bacon & Sausage Burrito and Veggie Burrito. Both had a hefty weight to them and were delicious. What added to the deliciousness was their house-made salsa and crema. If you love heat, their salsa is on point! The people who work here: all kind and helpful and on top of their stuff. This place gets really packed sometimes but even in the chaos, when customers are rude and drunk and break things they keep their cool, always. But don't treat them poorly. I will come for you. Chard is the GM and he is one of the kindest and most generous humans I have had the pleasure of know and is the mastermind behind getting the themed nights up and going. His ability to make a person feel welcome is pretty much unmatched in my opinion. The food: omg you guys the FOOD!!!! It's so good. They just changed the menu so I haven't gotten to try everything yet but the chicken dumplings are delicious. A bit of a kick but the best kind. The chili cheese fries that my friend had were also so good. Perfect cheese to chili ratio with the fries. There is a chef in the back who is passionate about food and making sure it tastes perfect so I trust everything is good. But if you are unsure ask the servers or bartenders. They won't steer you wrong. The drinks: admittedly, I mostly drink just screwball on the rocks. However every mixed cocktail I have had here has been perfection. Mark is the manager and he could be a mixologist, should be a mixologist, super nice guy who is shockingly good and remembering peoples drink preferences. Like a year ago was the last time I ordered cider and he remembered! The vibe: I wouldn't really call this place a dive bar, but it's sort of got a hint of dive bar going on. The back patio is really nice during the summer but sitting inside the barrel is fun too. The bulldog is kinda small so you won't fit a ton of people in there but it's still fun. Lots of places to sit although sometimes it does get packed and it's standing room only. Not to mention, they allow dogs!!! This is a great place to come with a first date. It's good for dressing up a little but not too much and there are some corners you can sit in so you can have a little closeness. But the staff will also keep an eye out for you. If you are feeling uncomfortable in any way, they will keep an eye out for you and help you out. There isn't a designated dance floor but they won't be mad if you dance in the area that you've got available to you. Just don't accidentally knock anything over or hit anybody. The music: Chard is usually in charge of the play list but even when he isn't the music is usually pretty great and there's a band that comes and plays on Sundays for a while in the afternoon/evening. I have found some of my new favorite music because of this place. Drag brunch: I've never actually attended because I've heard it gets a little crazy and that can be a little scary overwhelming for me, but they do it everyday Saturday and Sunday and that's been going strong for a pretty long time so I have to assume it's a good time. The themed events: this is the kind of crazy I can handle though. They have done lots of the rings, zelda anniversary, a Star Wars themed singles event for Valentine's Day, a scholastic book fair, and Easter egg hunt, their Halloween and New Year's Eve events were AMAZING, I could go on and on. People turn up for these events and they are just some of the most fun especially with the costumes you will see. Go to Idle Hour. I've never loved a bar before. This place is something else. I promise you won't be disappointed, unless you're one of those kinds of people who finds something wrong no matter how amazing the place is or you're kind of an entitled jerk.

The fans made the patio comfortable, and the team initially came across much friendlier than during my previous visit. Unfortunately, the service once again lost momentum after my food arrived. I waited my entire meal for a simple straw for my water, but no one ever came back to the table. I had finished my espresso and actually wanted to order the Horchata Latte to enjoy with my meal, but I never had the opportunity because my server never checked back in to see how everything was or whether I needed anything else. What really stood out was that the busser came to clear my table before I had seen my server again. It wasn't until I was sitting there looking around that I finally spoke to another staff member and explained that I had been waiting for my server. I had wanted to order the Horchata Latte, but I never had the opportunity because no one checked back on me after my espresso was served. When it came time to pay, I shared my frustration with my server. She apologized and explained that she had gotten tied up inside. I understand that restaurants get busy, and I certainly don't expect perfection. However, by that point I had already finished my meal, missed the opportunity to order another drink, waited for a straw for my water that never came, and was still waiting to close out my tab. That's ultimately my biggest critique of EAT. The food is exceptional, the patio is fantastic, and this visit was noticeably warmer than my first. But hospitality is found in the little things checking back after food is served, making sure guests have what they need, and being present through the end of the meal. Those small moments are what turn a good dining experience into a memorable one. I'll continue coming back because I truly enjoy the food. I just hope that, over time, the service becomes as consistently excellent as the kitchen.

We soon got a good spot and ordered the shrimp ceviche and the pan fried dumplings for appetizers. The ceviche was served on a bed of crispy noodles and it was refreshing and satisfying. The dumplings were crispy, not greasy, and flavorful. For dinner, we got 2 orders of japchae and 3 orders of bibimbap. With 2 Korean-born children and having visited the country, those are among our family's favorite dishes. And they did not disappoint. The japchae noodles were just right. They were not too firm and not too soft and well-seasoned. With a mixture of veggies, meat, mushrooms, eggs, and that delectable sauce, the bibimbap tickled and satiated the tastebuds. I told the server there was a birthday at the table and she brought out an excellent creme brulee with a candle in it. My husband and I didn't pay the bill. But the prices were reasonable with most of the entrees costing less than $20 each. We have four more days in town and may very well make another visit to indulge in that scrumptious food.

The sauteed onions and peppers amplify the savory dish, the poached eggs are not runny, and the whole plate is enlivened by the mildly spicy "Santa Fe" Hollandaise sauce. There was a small side of fresh fruit. We both had to take some of the benny home, as there was too much to finish and it was just too good to leave behind! You order at the counter and grab a seat in one of the many seating areas (indoor and out). We opted for al fresco dining right on Tujunga Avenue, because sitting under the trees and watching the world go by is one of the most pleasant aspects of Aroma! But there is also greenery of every type in the back and side areas, too. Don't worry too much about the line. After you order and grab a table, the servers bring out your coffee/tea orders promptly, and the food comes quickly thereafter. Servers are busy but friendly and accommodating. There are a lot of enticing choices on the breakfast/brunch menu, so we look forward to returning to Aroma.

I told her I wanted to try a cute little place and what does she recommend. She gave me choices and we settled on Aroma Coffee & Tea. She did give me fair warning that there was going to be a line on a Saturday and there for sure was. I will have to say that the line was worth it! I got the burger with bacon and that this was ginormous! The fries were perfect! My cousin got the chiliquiles which also looked so good! And the dessert case was AMAZING! A lot of gluten free and vegan options. I'm always hesitant about those options but the vegan biscoff cinnamon roll looked delightful that I had to give it a try. I got it to go to share with my husband. Let me just say that this one cinnamon roll could single handedly convert me to a vegan! It was everything and so much more! It was to die for! I still dream about it. I cannot wait to go back and try other food which I can pretty much guarantee it will be everything and so much more!
