The food continues to be outstanding. I ordered the Eggs Benedict again, sat on the outdoor patio on a beautiful warm day, and really enjoyed the atmosphere. The fans made the patio comfortable, and the team initially came across much friendlier than during my previous visit. Unfortunately, the service once again lost momentum after my food arrived. I waited my entire meal for a simple straw for my water, but no one ever came back to the table. I had finished my espresso and actually wanted to order the Horchata Latte to enjoy with my meal, but I never had the opportunity because my server never checked back in to see how everything was or whether I needed anything else. What really stood out was that the busser came to clear my table before I had seen my server again. It wasn't until I was sitting there looking around that I finally spoke to another staff member and explained that I had been waiting for my server. I had wanted to order the Horchata Latte, but I never had the opportunity because no one checked back on me after my espresso was served. When it came time to pay, I shared my frustration with my server. She apologized and explained that she had gotten tied up inside. I understand that restaurants get busy, and I certainly don't expect perfection. However, by that point I had already finished my meal, missed the opportunity to order another drink, waited for a straw for my water that never came, and was still waiting to close out my tab. That's ultimately my biggest critique of EAT. The food is exceptional, the patio is fantastic, and this visit was noticeably warmer than my first. But hospitality is found in the little things checking back after food is served, making sure guests have what they need, and being present through the end of the meal. Those small moments are what turn a good dining experience into a memorable one. I'll continue coming back because I truly enjoy the food. I recently had brunch with some friends at Eat and had an overall positive experience. They've been around for nearly 20 years, establishing themselves as THE brunch spot to go to in the area. They have chill indoor seating, tables in the back and front patio. I had the Shakerato, which is a delicious non-alcoholic shaken espresso drink with homemade brown sugar syrup. My friend tried the pistachio latte and said it was lacking pistachio flavor. She let Theresa, the manager, know and Theresa informed us that their pistachio syrup is made in house and shared the process. It was pretty subtle, so they may need to just adjust the recipe. I had to try the Golden Clucker Bene with their unique zucchini strings. The syrup is also made in house and has a nutty, cinnamon flavor that complemented the savory fried chicken and the perfectly poached eggs. Love the concept of low carb and healthy zucchini strings. They were kind of like hash browns. I also tried the Patty Melt with grilled onions, Swiss cheese and onion rings. The country loaf bread and onion rings were crispy and the Australian wagyu patty was flavorful and juicy. Just wish it had a little more cheese. My other friend had the Goat Cheese Salad and loved it. The fried goat cheese was a nice touch. For dessert, we tried their special Tiramisu, which had a good amount of espresso. I came here with some darling friends for a birthday lunch. The weather was perfect, so we sat out on the patio where people watching was in full effect. We got a side of fruit and it came with some dragon fruit, goose berry and fun grapes. Love the variety! We started with Mexican coffee. You can get it iced or hot. Iced gets one refill but hot gets unlimited refills. Trust me, get it hot because you will want more than one refill. It is rich and delicious. We also got a shakerato and a spiced brown sugar latte. Both were delicious. The shakerato is a shaken espresso with homemade brown sugar syrup. They make some of the best Benedicts around and it is one of those places you can always count on for a great meal and a solid brunch experience. The crab cake Benedict is an all time favorite of mine. It is consistently delicious, perfectly balanced, and one of those dishes that keeps you coming back. They really know how to do Benedicts right. That said, I was genuinely devastated on my last visit when I found out they removed their steak Benedict from the menu. I cannot even remember the exact cut they used, filet mignon or something similar, but I do remember that it was incredible every single time. It was one of those dishes that made the place special for me and I had ordered it many times over the years. I went back yesterday excited to get it again only to find out it has been taken off the menu. While the food is still great and the crab cake Benedict remains a favorite, losing that steak Benedict definitely felt like the end of an era for me. Please bring it back! Eat in North Hollywood is such a vibe with great food and great drinks, and everything we ordered was a hit. We started with the iced Mexican coffee and it was delicious. It had warm, comforting spice notes with a smooth, rich coffee flavor that wasn't overly sweet. It was super refreshing and really easy to drink, especially if you like your coffee flavorful but balanced. We also tried the hot vanilla matcha with almond milk, which was cozy and well balanced. The vanilla added a subtle sweetness, and the matcha tasted clean and high quality without any bitterness. It was perfect for something warm and comforting. For food, the Ribeye Revival was a standout. The steak was cooked beautifully and full of flavor, and the fresh fruit on the side added a nice, refreshing contrast that complemented the dish really well. The horchata pancake was incredible. It was fluffy, flavorful, and infused with that classic horchata taste. Lightly spiced, sweet, and indulgent without feeling too heavy. Definitely a must order. The service was amazing. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcomed, which really elevated the whole experience. Parking was also pretty easy since there is paid street parking available right outside. Just make sure to check the meters. Overall, everything from the food to the drinks to the service was executed perfectly. Eat is definitely a go to spot in North Hollywood for brunch or coffee, and I will absolutely be back.
