Soujuk Tomato Omelet Breakfast Burrito - check out all the filling!

"Ghost kitchen, a culinary dream, Served up on a digital stream. No storefront, no face-to-face, Just flavors in a distant place." The thing about ghost kitchens is that they seem to land in places that would normally not be open to the public. But here we are at a 'Ghost Kitchen' where you actually get to meet the owners and the talent behind the delicious food! After reading so many wonderful reviews here on yelp, especially Randy B's, I was curious to find out for myself what all the excitement was about...We parked on Fulton Ave just North of Sherman Way then made our way to the warehouse down the hall where we met owners Helen and her daughter Sara. The could not have been nicer!!! Helen walked us back to the front where there were 2 tables set up for anyone who wanted to eat there. It was perfect! While we waited for our food, Helen brought us a slice of her infamous "Banana Bread" to share! Made from scratch with butter...delicious! My friend and I ordered: *Vanilla Iced Latte w/whole milk *Hot Almond Latte *Breakfast Burrito - Egg/Cheese&Bacon Burrito w/homemade salsa *Tomato Beef Sujuk Breakfast Burrito w/Aioli Dipping Sauce - OUT OF THIS WORLD GOOD!!!! *This use to be a "Brick & Mortar" cafe in Burbank several years ago. *Helen uses only the freshest ingredients and when available only organic. *Me being Assyrian, she told me that most of her recipes are from her Assyrian grandmother! No wonder everything was amazing! *The food is Middle Eastern Infusion *They offer catering for all types of occasions including: Children's bday parties, gender reveals, graduations and more! *Check out their instagram page - the pics of their catering are SPECTACULAR!!!! ***BTW ~ You can bipass the 30% "Ubereats, Doordash" price gauging by ordering directly and picking up your order yourself. Just sayin...

After dropping off my girlfriend at Burbank Airport, I decided to treat myself to something special. Today's adventure brought me to the mother and daughter ingenuity known as Cafe Crisp in North Hollywood. I knew that this ghost kitchen would be an adventure from the start. Parking is nearly impossible, as there are limited street spots on the commercial warehouse area of Fulton Avenue. Challenge accepted. If you are able to score a spot on the street or one of the 10 small parking spaces inside a nondescript warehouse entrance, you'll see the chalkboard signage for Cafe Crisp, along with a keypad entry for all of the food service delivery drivers. I knocked on the door and was greeted by Hermine and her infectious smile. She directed me inside a plain, white walled hallway with two colorful four top tables, one of which was occupied by a family. I sat down and Hermine proceeded to take the family's order while I waited patiently. Since there was no menu, and I obviously didn't walk all the way to the front entrance, I proceeded to ask Hermine what her specialties were. When I mentioned breakfast burritos, she told me of her personal favorite, a Tomato Omelette Beef Sujuk Burrito, from her grandfather's secret recipe. No need to go further, that was the one for me. I also ordered a homemade unsweetened ice tea. Hermine told me she would also bring over some chocolate banana bread, compliments of the house. Within 10 minutes, Hermine brought out a warm slice of the banana bread. This was outstanding. Warm, gooey, the right amount of chocolate and banana sweetness, sans nuts, and gone within 30 seconds. When she returned a few moments layered with my iced tea, she asked me how the bread was. I pointed to the serving board it was provided on and gave her a smile. After serving the family of four next to me with some amazing looking open-faced toasts and waffles for the children, Hermine brought over my wonderfully wrapped and grilled breakfast burrito, complete with a homemade dipping aioli. She mentioned it was very hot, and that the beef was made this morning, complete with tons of Turkish spices and love. I waited a few minutes and made sure my camera got the first few bites before I grabbed the large burrito and took my first bites. Wow! The flavor depth was unlike anything I have had before. The spice level was a 10/10 and definitely packed some serious heat. Lots of garlic, cumin, and tons of wild seasoning combinations that I hadn't experienced before. The tomato, sour cream and eggs perfectly danced with the beef filling, making each bite more delicious than the first. The dipping sauce was also on point, with this meal requiring two hands, tons of napkins and a conquering mindset. I must say, this is one of the best burritos in Los Angeles, with a uniqueness and homemade charisma that you absolutely fall in love with. If you are looking for a unique experience, a passionate team of chefs and some out of this world cuisine, check out Cafe Crisp. It will blow your mind.

Chicken & Bacon Burrito Matcha Agave Latte Banana & Chocolate Chip Bread

I came here after seeing all the great Yelp reviews, and as a first-timer, I wasn't disappointed! I was warmly greeted by the mom and daughter who run the place--both were so sweet and welcoming. I ordered the chicken and bacon burrito, and it was packed with flavor--absolutely delicious. You can tell they use high-quality ingredients in both their food and drinks. The mom prepared my agave matcha latte with oat milk, and it was perfectly balanced and refreshing. The ideal breakfast after a workout! To make the experience even better, the sweet mom gifted me a slice of chocolate chip banana bread as a complimentary treat. I love banana bread, and theirs was moist, flavorful, and so satisfying. I'll definitely be back. Great food, kind people, and a cozy, welcoming vibe!

I was thinking about this place again and came back and got some toasts to go and wow everything was so delicious. I got the avocado toast with a fried egg added and the ingredients were so fresh and flavorful and the egg was cooked perfectly. I decided to get a sweet toast as well with the almond butter and nutella. It wasn't too sweet at all it was the right balance and hit the spot! Employees are so sweet I love the family energy I get from them. Can't wait to come back and try different toasts!

Let me start with the amazing woman Helen, instantly with her smile and you can tell she is very passionate about what she does here. This place is in an industrial location, and my girlfriend and I wanted to try it out. They usually only do take out, but have a small spot for guests who want to dine there. It is an industrial building so wasn't to aesthetically pleasing , but let me tell you once Helen started her service I felt like I was in a five star restaurant. She explained how she goes about shopping for menu items and for all the produce. They use a lot of different we seasonings. I had split the avocado toast and a burrito, let me tell you they were delicious. The food amazing the coffee was great!! I can't wait for this place to have its own spot where guests can enjoy the great food and service! Family owned and just wow

Tucked away in an industrial area and hidden down a nondescript hallway, finding this spot felt like tracking down a modern-day speakeasy. After a bit of an adventurous morning and a few double-takes, we finally stumbled upon the entrance--through a door that led straight into the kitchen--where the two sweetest women greeted us warmly and took our order. The food? Absolutely phenomenal. Every bite was worth the effort it took to get here, and then some. It's the kind of hidden gem you almost want to keep secret, but the flavors deserve to be shared. If you're up for a little treasure hunt with a delicious reward at the end, this is the place.

I'm mad at myself for not properly researching this ahead of time, so I hope my review helps someone else. When I first got there (parked in their little lot right outside) it looked like I was in the wrong place. There's a cute little sitting area off to the left, and then a long industrial looking hallway straight ahead. I asked someone and she pointed me to a kitchen door where I met with thee sweetest woman. She explained the menu and what they offer. I went with the Mushroom & Brie toast with a poached egg. I also ordered a hazelnut iced latte with oat milk. Let me just say how incredibly delicious everything was. She even threw in a slice of chocolate chip banana bread! When I got home I looked more into their menu and I found so many other items I need to try. I didn't realize they offered 1/2 toasts, this one was two meals! Next time I'm in the area, I will be coming back!

Amazing food and service. They make everything theirselves, nothing frozen and it's all organic. Happened to come for the first time on their last day at this location. I will definitely be following where they move to. 10/10 would recommend. The presentation of the food is beautiful. Eat in if you can, don't order to go or get it delivered, you will be missing out on the experience of this beautiful food.

Today marked my second visit to this little mom-and-daughter dynamo. The first time, it took me a minute, as I don't believe I have ever ordered from a "ghost kitchen," nor did I really know what one truly was. If you can find parking in their tiny, shared, industrial parking lot--great. If not and you are only there for grab-and-go pick-up, you can block someone in because you will either pass them in the hall on the way down, or they are a business resident and will know who to come and notify. Either way, you won't be long. If you are going to order when you get there and wait for any amount of time, or eat in the small work cafeteria-style setup at the storefront, be courteous enough to find street parking on Fulton. You can use the exercise to prep your body for all the delicious food you are about to put into it. Order ahead and pay through Yelp!, or order direct and pay through Zelle or Venmo when you get there. For my inaugural visit, I got salmon toast and avocado toast; half slice of each. Everything was Oh. eM. Gee! And they seem to have a practice of bestowing home-baked gifts upon the first-timers. My second and most recent time (though I goofed and ordered full volume on both breads) I got another salmon and a mushroom & brie. Just as A-Mazing! Menu options everywhere are often limited for me, as I have very selective food rules that are not even conventionally boxable. Suffice to say I query the source of all ingredients, so when a place has multiple options for my picky diet, that's a major bonus in the first place. This place has three or four off the jump without alteration. Yet, alter they will, if something looks particularly good but contains one or two ingredients on my strike list. Which brings me to the reviewer who penalized this restaurant in both stars and the text of the review for not having more options readily available for their restrictive vegan diet, despite the business' genuine attempt to accommodate. That kind of feedback undermines the very value of Yelp reviews and equates to penalizing Baskin-Robbins for not having lobster rolls. Fortunately, Café Crisp values locally-sourced, homemade, and harvest-to-heart ingredients wherever possible, providing me a diversity of choice. The homemade cheese spread reminds me more of a kefir-based Krauter-Käse or Quark than traditional cream cheese... for the better! They consider themselves fusion, but they are more braid than blend. I recognize the familiar flavors which drove my American palate to order, while also noting the distinctive cultural signature they bring. TL;DR: Eat. Here. Now!

Avocado toast (vegan, no feta cheese)
    Regina R.

There is only one "vegan" menu item, the avocado toast. It's vegan optional if you take the feta off. The toast was fantastic, but there were no other vegan options so it felt bit limited. Would love to see that part of the menu expanded. The server was sweet and accommodating. Ambiance was interesting. Def in an industrial area. But felt a bit lacking. Wish we had a menu to look at. Had to reference Yelp to look at old pics of the menu.

Cool little spot, big parking lot. The sweet lady that works here gave me an even sweeter cake since it was my first time there (delicious). Coffee was exceptional.

Walked in yesterday mid-evening at 5:30 pm and was greeted by Anna with a pleasant, pretty smile. She was kind, helpful and very nice. This is an Armenian bakery run by a lot of nice, helpful employees. They sell a variety of baked goods and a few savory items. Ponchik, (the closest way to explain this food is a donut). Filled with custard, nutella, and I believe other flavors too. They have Lahmajune, (Armenian pizza), Perashki, (a long dough filled with Spinach, Potato, Mushrooms, Cheese). They also sell other types of pastries, beverages, candy, cake, chocolates, boreks, with different fillings. My favorite is the Cheese borek. Rolls too. With different fillings.. and so much more.. All I needed and was craving for was 4 of their fresh, delicious Ponchiks. They were nice enough to give me an extra one--free of charge. The smell of those Ponchiks transported me back to Armenia. It was fresh and very hot. Came straight from the fryer. Since I was going to have dinner next door, I didn't want to get full on sweets. For 4 Ponchiks I paid ($13.60). Their prices are very affordable according to the sizes of their delicious savory and sweet baked goods. If you pay with card, there is an extra $1.00 fee for processing. I paid cash. Thank you all very much. Parking is shared with other businesses, and no public restroom. Inside and outside seating. They have multiple other locations.,

My Ponchik was ready quickly and I was able to use tap and pay and then I went on with my morning. I couldn't help it I started to eat my Ponchik on the drive, it was so fresh and piping hot, so fluffy, and the custard so thick and delicious. I am definitely a fan! I LOVE custard filled things and these Ponchiks are my new obsession!

While I was waiting, another woman walked in, spoke Armenian with the cashier, and was allowed to cut in front of me and place an order for around 20 items. I asked the cashier if she was going to ring me up first since I had already been waiting and only had one item. She told me no, because the woman had called in her order and they had to prioritize it. That makes absolutely no sense to me. I have called in orders to this bakery before and have still been expected to wait in line when I arrived. If the policy is that phone orders get priority, then that should be applied consistently to everyone. What bothered me most was the way I was treated when I questioned it. I felt completely disregarded and like my time didn't matter. Given that the cashier and customer were speaking Armenian together while I was being pushed aside. I don't have a problem with someone picking up a large phone order, but there needs to be a fair and consistent system. Letting someone walk in after me, cut directly in front of me, and place a huge order while I had been patiently waiting to buy one thing was incredibly disrespectful. I was so frustrated by the way I was treated that I ended up leaving without buying anything. I won't be returning.
