This is my third time getting help from Call Car Collision, and as always, they were the absolute best. The handle on the tailgate of my '93 Toyota Pickup snapped interiorly a few weeks ago, and I just had a baby, so didn't have the time to try and figure it out myself. These guys are great. My family has been going to this shop for years but this was my first time taking my car in. The father and son duo are Brazilian and speak Portuguese which is a plus for me. Decided to take my 2013 civic in to remove the a dent and scratch that ran along both door panels on the driver side. The team here handled everything including working with insurance. Richard and Claudio are top notch- great guys, and they try their best to get you a good deal, and as quickly as possible. Their shop is well maintained and always busy (with people and cars- BMWs, Audis, etc), but there's always a space to pull into the garage, and always someone there to talk to you. Someone knocked my side mirror off- it was parked on the street while I was at home, sleeping- and I needed something functional/legal to put on my 10 yr old Subaru Forester. I took it into these guys after seeing the rave Yelp reviews, and they weren't wrong. After looking it over for 10 minutes, they called a few places to look for a new mirror... I had to run to a doc appointment, and had to catch a shuttle nearby to do so... they told me to leave the car with them until the afternoon while they called around trying to get the part. I left it with them, came back 5 hours later; they hadn't found the right part, but had to order it, which would take 3 days. In the meantime, they taped a small mirror on, and told me they'd call when the mirror arrived (and I never paid anything, or gave them my credit card, they just did this on faith that I'd come back). I went out of town for a week, but when I returned, I called and went in- they had the mirror, and because they knew I was a student, and didn't need the top-of-the-line brand-name mirror, found the cheapest (but functional/legal) mirror they could... installed it while I waited (10 minutes), and even spent some time trying to scrape off the excess tape on the mirror holder that I had put there initially before bringing it in (which they definitely did not need to do). All this, and for $25 (parts & labor). I'd have given them more but I just left one graduate program to spend a lot more money to go to another grad program, so the more I can save, the better. But hopefully my Yelp review is of some value to them- these guys are not only sincere, friendly, and helpful, but they treat you like a person, not like a cash cow as some places often do. These guys are AMAZING!!!! I can't say that getting in an accident is a positive experience, but they almost (but not quite) make me want to get hit again! They were, by far, the least expensive out of the three estimates I got. When I called, Richard (see, I really like these guys, I know their names) told me to bring it by and asked what color and make my car was so he could "keep his eye out for me". How nice! Then I take my car in, which is a late model Volvo, so I didn't want just anyone working on it. Claudio, the owner, took a look at it and explained all of my options. From the get-go I could tell I was not going to get ripped off. He was totally okay with the fact that I didn't want to go through insurance, but told me I should get something from the other party signed to say that they for sure wouldn't report it later. Good advice! While I was there, they called vendors to see what the prices would be on parts and to see if they could get a deal somewhere to lower the price. They did this in front of me, so I knew the prices on parts that they wrote on the estimate were accurate and not some inflated number. As I was leaving, (from my estimate) Claudio noticed that my tail light was out. He asked if I had 5 minutes and changed the bulb for FREE! He said that he "didn't want me to get a ticket". What a guy! As it turns out, I did end up going through insurance. I only had to call the insurance to report the accident, they took care of everything else. I even called my insurance to check to make sure that I didn't need to tell them anything more. They assured me that these guys had already taken care of everything. Amazing. Who does that? Additionally, they offered to arrange a rental car for me through Enterprise at a VERY discounted rate per day. I didn't end up taking them up on this, but had I needed to, this would have saved me tons of money. They let me keep the car there while the insurance companies were battling it out and even let me keep it there over Thanksgiving while I was out of town for FREE! Other places will charge you to store your car every day that they aren't working on it. I went to pick up my car, and not only was she beautiful again, she was clean! Richard and the guys in the shop had cleaned her for me inside and out. They even found a dollar bill under my seat and set it aside. What honesty! They assured me that they clean every car that goes out of their shop. Additionally, they had gone around the car with touch-up paint, and fixed all of the little nicks you get from living in the city. Now my car is newer, so she doesn't have tons of scratches, but still! She now looks even better than before the accident! I would, and have already, recommended Call Car Collision to everyone I meet. These guys are honest, fast, helpful, and VERY reasonable. I saw a variety of cars in their shops, from 1980 Volvo station wagons, to brand new SUV's. There is no need to look any furthur; you have found your auto body shop. Claudio is the man. He runs an HONEST body shop. there's really nothing more I could say. I never thought i could say "honest" and "body shop" in the same sentence, but for Call Car, I will! After my car got front-ended (long story) I shopped around and found that Call Car offered their services the cheapest (even half the cost of some other comparable shops!) Claudio could've easily asked for more, knowing that I wasn't paying for it, but he didn't. He quoted me $700 to replace and paint my bumper and mold my side markers. The guy who hit my car was being a real jerk and wanted some sort of written statement that we (Claudio nor I) would ask for anything over $700. Any normal shop would never sign anything like that (because, after all, an estimate is an estimate) but Claudio was quick to draft me this guarantee. I think this shows two very important things: 1. His low estimates are never just to lure business in the door; they're the actual price he's going to charge you. 2. When he sees his customers in a tight wind, he'll do what it takes to help you out. Besides the great, quick work he offers, he replaced one of my burnt-out bulbs for free. Plus he personally washed my car. What a great man. Lastly, there was an issue with my fog lights. They were working perfectly fine prior to bringing it in, but somehow got disconnected after replacing my bumper. He tried to look into it, but I said forget it. Waste of time. I haven't figured it out yet myself, but whatever, who uses fog lights anyway? read more

My car was involved in a minor accident. With the proceeds from the other guy's insurance, I ended up with a 98 Toyota Corolla that looked like it just rolled off the time machine. Gleaming and scratch and dent free, with some sweet extras thrown in for free like fixing the interior lights. The thing is, these guys really care. They handled everything with the rental car place, the insurance supplemental. They watched out for me whenever I backed out of their garage. They reinstalled my car seat for me and showed me some child-safety locks I didn't know were there. Every now and then you meet service providers who have hit the sweet spot--skillful and kind, at a good price. I have to say that I couldn't pass up the opportunity to try Call Car Collision after reading such great reviews. Even though the drive was far for me, I decided to go for it anyway and I'm glad I did. Like the other reviewers mentioned, both Claudio and Richard are very nice, honest and redefine customer service. I really felt like they actually cared, rather than just being concerned with collecting fees. For example, Claudio did little various things like wipe some paint off my car, cleaned a water stain off a seat and so forth, willingly and gladly, just to help me out. The estimate I got was a lot lower than some other place I went to initially and the finished work was great. I'd have to say that they helped to restore some trust I've lost previously from having to deal with other shops with less than stellar service. I certainly recommend them to others. read more

The guys here saved me $300! My car got sideswiped by the cable guy. My right mirror was torn off. Claudio had my side mirror in stock with an extra mirror for it. It also happened that they were painting silver in their shop so they could paint my side mirror and replace it by the following day. I didn't have to go to a dealer or buy a new mirror from a dealer and pay more. I am currently laid off so this was a HUGE help. I really felt like they cared and wanted to fix my mirror for as little money as possible. As a woman I always try to walk into these places with confidence because I know so little about this stuff. This place was heaven sent for me. It all started when someone, coming out of a parking spot, backed into my car. Unfortunately for me, I already had minor prior damage close to the new damage which I wasn't on planning on getting fixed since it wasn't noticeable. The other drivers insurance would not cover the old damage which meant I had to pay out of pocket for the previous damage (which would've been fixed anyway with the new damage). Their insurance handed me a $1600 check for the damage and I started shopping around and found Sunny auto body who provided a $2500 estimate for all the damage. I had to pay 1000 bucks out of my pocket. No thank you. I brought in my car to the second shop, Call Car Collision, and met Claudio who immediately called the other drivers insurance and had them email him the estimate. He immediately stated that the insurance had low balled the estimate. Claudio took pictures of my car and provided a new estimate to the insurance. A few days later my car was in the shop, all the damage (prior and new) were getting fixed with no money to pay out of pocket for me. In the meantime, I received a rental car and Claudio was kind enough to install and reinstall my daughters car seat from my car to the rental and then from the rental to my car again. What an awesome guy! I received my car in tip top condition. The damage was perfectly fixed like if nothing had ever happened. My bumper that had tons upon tons of scratches was completely gone and looked just like new. The front bumper that had came in with the right side mildly detached was now firmly attached. It was cleaned and looked shiny. I felt like I was at a dealership about to drive off with a brand new shiny car. Thank you Claudio for all your attention and thank you for saving me a grand! A few weeks ago, I was pretty ashamed of myself for carelessly driving the side of my boyfriend's pristine Honda into a parked car. There was a long, deep scrape, and the plastic wheel cover looked like my nephew had doodled all over it with a black sharpie. Talked to Claudio and Richard, like everyone else, and found them to be quite personable and honest, like everyone else. Would recommend them to everyone else, like everyone else. My personal experience: Some old gentleman side-swiped me, so I took my car here to have it looked at. Claudio didn't even say anything, just looked at the car, then got some composite (I think he called it that; it was like car wax, but not) and just buffed the car. The scratches faded, and voila. Bang-up #1: Hit and run... someone swiped the side of my parked car and took off. Discovered the damage the next morning. Being fairly new to the City, I called my usual mechanics for a referral (this is before I knew about Yelp). "Call Car Collision, ask for Claudio or Richard." These guys are not only friendly, but they ooze confidence and back it up with expert skills with dealing with my insurance company. If you're baffled on what the body shop needs to do with your insurance, don't sweat. These guys know what to do. When I got my car back, it was of course, perfect. One of the guys even stood out on Mission St and played traffic cop for a moment so I could safely drive out of the shop! Now that's service! Bang-up #2: Only a few months later, a white Honda Civic with a giant plastic whale-tail spoiler on the trunk ran a red light zipped in front of me and an Audi in the next lane. Both my Volvo and the Audi in the next lane ended up broadsiding the offending vehicle. Neither of us could stop fast enough to avoid hitting this idiot. The front of my Volvo had seen better days. The Fast n' Furious Civic? Gone, and so was my bumper-mounted license plate. Funny, I don't see it among the debris in the intersection... where did it go? Did it fall off? But at least I knew where to bring my car! Claudio and Richard greeted me. "We'll take good care of you," they said. And once again, they did. They pulled my old paperwork and whaddya know, we're off and running. When I picked up my car, I was handed a $20 bill. What was this for? "You'll need it for the DMV when you apply for a replacement license plate." WOW! Epilogue: So what ever happened to my missing license plate? It turns out the kids driving the Civic that ran the red light was on a suspended license. The other vehicle- the PO'd Audi who also struck the red-light runner- made chase and caught up! SFPD came and in the end, I was tracked down by insurance companies. "How did you find me?" I asked. "Oh, your license plate was found embedded on the side of the Civic." read more

They even washed the darn thing, which is something I'd given up on due to daily tomato- and cherry-bomb attacks by the birds on my street.
