Love this mountain cafe! Friendly service and delicious food that's always worth the wait! If a restaurant is packed that's usually your sign the food is good. The huevos rancheros are absolutely delicious, the pancakes are fluffy and some of the best I've ever had. And now... you can enjoy outdoor dining and a good Irish coffee! Easy stop on your way up the mountain. Enjoy!

A hidden gem up in the mountains, not to be missed! The food was excellent, service super friendly, and a nice drive through this beautiful area doesn't hurt either.

Oh my goodness, this place is adorable. We came here for a birthday brunch and had the best time. The food was amazing. Portions were huge, and the employees and ambiance were amazing. Definitely can't say enough good about them. We had French toast, Denver omelette, the California omelette, Biscuits and Gravy, and their potatoes were to die for. Go try it as soon as you can.

Ready to try such a highly rated place.

Had breakfast here on the first morning of our weekend getaway based on the stellar yelp reviews. It did not disappoint. The vibes are unassuming and casual, the service is friendly and fast, and the food was super tasty, great portion sizes, and a great deal. Seriously, I can't believe we got a meal with booze for such a good price. In particular, we were very impressed by the house made sausage patties. They were spiced really well. This is definitely a small town gem that's worth a visit.

    Huevoes Rancheros

Huevoes Rancheros was spectacular. Perfect blend of flavors. First time ever eating this dish and definitely will try again, though I doubt it will compare to The Pine Cone Cafés. Excellent service as well. Truly enough for 3 breakfasts though. The coffee was excellent as well. Would be back for sure if we didn't live in the east coast. But, highly recommend if you're anywhere in the area. Truly a home town cafe!

Service was good. Very busy cafe in Mi Wuk and the staff were friendly. Prices were fair and the food value for money was very fair. We ordered a few items to go and it seemed like the lady on the phone hesitated to take it. Did not ding her for it because I called her out during pick up and she was just trying to be honest about the wait time given they were really busy inside the cafe. Service was prompt and my Togo order was done sooner than estimated. Biscuits with gravy were just meh, hash browns were solid, pastrami Reuben was delish (get their potato salad), and their chicken fried steak was good but very rich. Solid diner cafe in the area. Must try!

Took an hour to get our food. I had the French toast and they had no flavor. Won't be coming back.

I ordered a drink and the blueberry fried chicken sandwich to go. The drink was fine, and the sandwich had a great piece of chicken with a HEAPING side of tots, but those are sadly the only positives to note. I was a bit disappointed with my meal overall. I ordered the sandwich because it had blueberry COMPOTE. (I am wary of ALL berries and fresh produce at this time due to the cyclospora outbreak, but I am perfectly fine to eat compotes and sauces that are cooked). I heard the salesperson ask the cooking staff if they still had compote and they replied in the affirmative. At no point between placing my order and waiting was I told otherwise, or notified that they had run out, but when I got home and opened my sandwich it was genuinely just blueberries on the piece of chicken. It did have melted cheese and (some) aioli, and I asked for no jalapenos/they listened, but the other toppings didn't have much of a taste over the chicken. I was expecting a unique sandwich featuring a cooked through blueberry sauce and received a fraction of what I paid for, especially because, even after dumping the blueberries out of my sandwich, I was too nervous to eat anything they might have touched, and I wasn't able to finish. (While it may be irrational behavior, which I know and am trying to curtail, it still shouldn't have been a thing at all. As someone with food issues, if I had known they were out of the compote I would have changed my order to something I felt comfortable eating--instead I paid $30 for a chicken sandwich I couldn't finish because they essentially contaminated it. Also, cooked blueberry compote tastes different from fresh blueberries, on top of having a completely different texture, so I didn't even get what I paid for in that regard). I would eat here again, but would likely not order to go in case there was another issue. *EDITED REVIEW because I genuinely appreciate the owner's sincerity and congeniality upon receiving my review. I understand that sometimes, things can go awry, and I look forward to trying out the rest of their menu as I continue to visit TH.

When you walk in there are two areas for children on the right is for younger children and the one on the left is for 2 & up. The owner was so nice. He was setting up for movie night. We found some friends that we had made at the park so that was fun. My daughter loved everything about it. There was an obstacle course. There was all these different games to play that were human size. There were various places to sit and eat inside and outside. The decor was so cute. It was like a time warp Christmas/summer/fall/spring. I mean it's perfect for anyone who likes unique things and places. Everyone there was so nice and attentive. My server in the cashier Jordan was so sweet. Everyone seemed very happy there. The sourdough pizza is to die for it's hot and fresh. I haven't tried the barbecue, but I will be back to try the barbecue. The mac & cheese was yummy. And they have many different types of drinks that you can choose from adult drinks to just regular soft drinks. They also sell ice cream, which is really cool with toppings. Let's not forget all the cool Sasquatch decor, and theme! It's so beautiful because the trees are everywhere and you can smell the pine. So many good memories to make here at this establishment. My daughter and I will definitely be back every single time. Thank you for giving us core memories and a good experience.

Twain Harte Creamery is located in downtown Twain Harte across from The Rock. Parking is usually street unless you get lucky and are able to park in front of a business. The inside is small, but homey. It could also use a deep clean, but the really fun is outside though. They have a nice patio area with a play area and jump house for the kids. You must buy something at the Creamery in order to partake in the fun though. We got in line and it seemed to more a bit slow -- we finally got to the register and ordered one Horchata Milkshake. Once we paid, the young kid at the register said it would be a little while before our order came out. As expected, it did take a while for our Milkshake to come and it was not worth the wait. Overall, I know I am a city girl and used to the more fast paced life so I will give them a little grace, plus their staff were friendly and doing their best. Rating is 3.5 stars! I'm sure we'll be back next time we are in Twain Harte!
