Soup & sandwich, a classic combo!

A hidden gem up in the mountains, not to be missed! The food was excellent, service super friendly, and a nice drive through this beautiful area doesn't hurt either.

Ready to try such a highly rated place.

Had breakfast here on the first morning of our weekend getaway based on the stellar yelp reviews. It did not disappoint. The vibes are unassuming and casual, the service is friendly and fast, and the food was super tasty, great portion sizes, and a great deal. Seriously, I can't believe we got a meal with booze for such a good price. In particular, we were very impressed by the house made sausage patties. They were spiced really well. This is definitely a small town gem that's worth a visit.

    Huevoes Rancheros

Huevoes Rancheros was spectacular. Perfect blend of flavors. First time ever eating this dish and definitely will try again, though I doubt it will compare to The Pine Cone Cafés. Excellent service as well. Truly enough for 3 breakfasts though. The coffee was excellent as well. Would be back for sure if we didn't live in the east coast. But, highly recommend if you're anywhere in the area. Truly a home town cafe!

Service was good. Very busy cafe in Mi Wuk and the staff were friendly. Prices were fair and the food value for money was very fair. We ordered a few items to go and it seemed like the lady on the phone hesitated to take it. Did not ding her for it because I called her out during pick up and she was just trying to be honest about the wait time given they were really busy inside the cafe. Service was prompt and my Togo order was done sooner than estimated. Biscuits with gravy were just meh, hash browns were solid, pastrami Reuben was delish (get their potato salad), and their chicken fried steak was good but very rich. Solid diner cafe in the area. Must try!

Huevos Rancheros on a bed of hashbrowns

Absolutely delicious breakfast with great service! We had Avocado toast, Veggie Omelette and Huevos Rancheros on a bed of hash browns. Everything came out hot and looked amazing. Our go to breakfast spot.

Back home from Pinecrest on a cold and rainy day ,with my family , we stopped to have breakfast here. Upon entering you felt a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, excellent service from start to finish, the food in our party of ten was varied between breakfasts, hamburgers and sandwich , and everything was delicious, presentable, fast and hot.

Small local spot with really good food! The place came recommended from a local and although he said the breakfast was better than the dinner. He followed it up w you will not be disappointed w the dinner. This is a hidden gem! Everything on the dinner menu sounded good. We had the calamari and fries which was breaded calamari strips. Some of the best calamari. I had a California burger which was cooked to a perfect medium. The service was great as our waiter checked in regularly and let us know of some other local places to check out. We will return.

We came here because they have vegetarian options and looked like a fairly quick option. This was one of the worst dining experiences I've had in a while. We bought three sandwiches, two drinks, and a dessert from the cafe and the staff were rude and didn't let us eat at the tables in the cafe. Even though we had bought multiple items and just wanted to eat our sandwiches quickly before getting the staff member at the cafe was so rude we ended up taking our food outside and eating in our car in 103 degree heat. I got the roasted sandwich without cheese and with bacon. The sandwich itself was tasty and the chicken was moist. However, the cost was nearly $8 for half a sandwich, which was very small. Ambiance: the cafe area looked clean and was completely empty. It would have been fine and serviceable. Customer Service: 1 star. We arrived shortly before 3 p.m. and staff rushed us. I asked for three minute to read the menu and the cashier at the cafe said they were closing in two minutes. It was the most unwelcome I've felt at a restaurant in a very long time. There was no one else there, we had already bought multiple things from the cafe and spent over $50 all together and had to eat our sandwiches in the parking lot in 103 F heat. I've been to other establishments and unknowingly shown up near closing time, but usually that can be communicated politely. I regret spending any money here and supporting this business. Taste: 3 stars for the taste, texture and flavor of the chicken sandwich. 2 stars for the farmers market wrap. 3.5 stars for the carrot zucchini cake. Value: 2 stars. Half sandwich was overpriced and very small for the price.

The espresso machine was out, which wasn't a huge deal since drip coffee was available, but the coffee itself was honestly pretty bad. It also didn't help that we were told the flavored syrup drinks were basically the same as their espresso specialty drinks, but it tasted like water down drip coffee. I ordered the French toast plate and my partner got the biscuits and gravy. The bacon seemed undercooked, the pancakes were dry, the biscuits and gravy were burnt, and the gravy itself was runny. Overall, for a meal that ended up being over $50 with tip, we were really disappointed with the quality.

While I typically avoid paying premium prices for coffee, I decided to treat myself and finally give this location a try. Upon entering, I was greeted by a pleasant atmosphere and placed an order for three iced coffees, which I stated clearly. When my order was delivered, two of the drinks were iced, while one was served hot. I calmly and politely mentioned that all three were supposed to be iced coffees. At that point, I overheard an employee respond in the background with an attitude, stating that I had ordered the drink hot. I fully understand that mistakes can happen--orders can be entered incorrectly, and errors are part of any service environment. However, my concern lies with the dismissive attitude and the decision to challenge the customer's request in front of them. This interaction left a poor impression, and as a result, I do not plan to return to this establishment. I will instead continue supporting my usual coffee shops.

She kindly gave me a few to-go containers and said, "Yes, I'm working on getting it set up to sell to go." I asked what was in it, and although there was a bit of a language barrier, I gathered that it contains several unique peppers--some roasted, some fresh--and then, at the end, she added, "And...
