Also asked for one $5 dollar Mega Millions, she charged me $21 which was correct. But what she gave me, that I didn't notice till later, was one Powerball with three games a second Powerball ticket with one game. four games total. Should have cost me $8 for Powerball, and $5 for the mega millions, should have only been $13. She ripped me off $ 8. So mad! Especially at my self for being so preoccupied by that Powerball, I couldn't even do the simple math. WTH! She seemed shady from the start. I should have known she'd try to pull a fast one. Unbelievable, I experienced the full power of the old lady behind the counter. She is a much worse version of the soup naz* from Seinfeld. The experience was so bad that it's comical. The only place to get booze in the area at a late hour...Friendly. clerks and employees with your typical liquor store offerings. They don't make sandwiches here or sell hot dogs or hot food which is the only way I'm giving a local urban liquor store 5 stars but I think it's a good store. The lady behind counter is horrible. I wanted to buy a lot of lottery tickets and she complained that she didn't want to stay there all day. I was shocked. When I questioned her about the lotto ticket she told me that I didn't need to tell her how to do her job. She also told me that if I didn't like the service there then I don't have to come back. Wow. The other Indian man (maybe her husband) also said if I didn't like the service then I don't have to come back. I've never seen such bad customer service. So extremely rude. I was very surprised the variety of products they had. I came in for some IPAs my brother enjoys and they had them in stock. I was also pleasantly surprised the variety of wines they carried. Me and my Dad have been going to this liquor store for over 15 years. We buy lottery ticket as a routine for my Dad twice a week. And just recently the lady behind the counter have started refusing to exchange the winning lottery tickets. I am only writing this review as I am keeping track of when and how many times she's refused to acknowledge any winning tickets (3 times she has refused) even for a single ticket winning. She says there isn't enough money every time. I will be reporting matter to the Lottery Security and Law Enforcement division. I find it hilarious how reviews say this place has "friendly" employees, the Indian lady working at this place is straight up RUDE. Gave myself attitude for trying to cash a scratch off ticket for my grandfather, literally threw a snarky comment my way and clearly doesn't enjoy her job. She must be the owner or related to them because I've never in my life seen an employee act this rude to a customer and I've been working retail for 10+ years.. I understand this is a liquor store so you can't really expect "top tier" customer service but the lady at this store needs to retire or become a dishwasher. They're very convenient due to their close location to my home (hence the term convenience store) and their selection and prices are pretty good but in no way does any of this excuse their absolutely horrific customer service. This store is amazing. First, they have everything you might need for a fri/saturday night. Their location is close to everything. Their prices are only slightly higher then a chain store, but they don't have the pricing power of Safeway. Most important is their service. The guys that work here are always so nice. They greet you with a smile. When you go to check out it is not uncommon that they will bag your food or drinks while you pull out your credit card. I can't even get that at Safeway these days (and they have dedicated baggers). I am happy to return to this store for their selection and excellent customer service.
