Of the restaurant has sunk a lot of money renovating the interior. She seems like a delightful and hardworking lady but she needs to focus on the marina entrance so people,e know this place exists on Davenport lane near the clubs in New Rochelle. read more

It was my first time here. We came to see Chris Brown play on a Friday night. The restaurant itself is very pretty and overlooks the water. I started off with a Caesar salad, which was quite good, and then I got the grilled pork chops, which were juicy and really tasty with a cherry pepper sauce. My friend got the chicken Scarpariello, which he really enjoyed. Drinks were tasty and good and overall, it was a wonderful night of music. I will definitely be back! read more

Let me start by saying I will go back and give this place another shot. So I decided to meet a friend here for lunch and we got there 5 minutes before noon. We saw a guy cleaning up and setting tables but he didn't look at us and disappeared. Short story, they didn't open until we actually called about 10-15 minutes later. I guess everyone was late. Anyhow, we were seated and there was no delay with the drinks, nice. Server apologized for delay and was attentive. I ordered a lobster roll as someone said it was good. Wrong! I don't know how old it was but it was something dry and reheated on a roll. I didn't want to get sick so I didn't eat it. I showed it to the waiter and said they shouldn't have served it at all. He apologized and offered to substitute something else but I skipped it. My friend ordered something else from the menu and it was fine. The server removed the charge, apologized again and said he hoped we'd give them another try. I will, just because of this server and the quiet, seaside vibe. Aptly named, the Marina View Restaurant overlooks, wait for it ... a marina! So that makes for some interesting boat watching while you dine :) My wife and I popped in recently for a mid-week lunch and we were not disappointed. Our waitress, Chiara, was joyful and attentive and helped us with our choices. I started with the clam chowder, followed by the chicken parm over penne. My wife opted for the mussels and washed it down with a salad. Everything was yummy. My wife said that the mussels were the meatiest she's ever had. As for me, my chicken parm was the epitome of 'comfort food.' And by that, I mean it came covered with cheese and sauce and looked like something out of a Star Trek episode ... but it was delicious, and the leftovers came home for a second meal :) One of the other reviews referred to the Marina View as a 'hidden treasure', and that's kinda true as it's off the beaten path. My friend ordered a Caesar Salad that didn't have parmesan cheese, but rather shredded mozzarella. A bit bizarre. Our water tasted like there was previously mixed drinks in the glass so we ate our meal without water. Tasted very unclean. Plus side, they give you mixed drinks in pint glasses for $14. Our waiter couldn't really hear us while ordering, not because of any noise in the venue, but it was just really echoey or he was just hard of hearing. We all kept repeating our order. I had to speak up so loud that I felt like I was yelling at the poor fella. Also, they charged us an additional 3% for credit card surcharge. Had I known this, I would've paid in cash. We were pleasantly surprised by the staff and the food. We were greeted and welcomed when we walked our server. He was very helpful in explaining the answers to our questions. And now the food. We had offerings off the brunch menu. I had the frittata. It was all vegetables and served with French fries and toast. The shrimp omelette was also served that way. One of our party had a small salad instead of the fries. They offered several interesting desserts and we had our hot drinks with dessert. We were looking for a local casual spot. I had this book marked for a while. Heard great things about it. It's in the back by a boat mariner. Plenty of parking. The owner owns the Tiki Bar downstairs! The Marina View, is upstairs. There was outdoor dining as well as inside. When we went in, there was only outdoor dining, and we felt it was too warm. So they offered us a seat at the bar, which was perfect! We ended up talking to the two owners! There was a party going on that's why seating was limited. We started w a Dirty Martini, which was great! Then we had Clams Oreganato, which were really good! Then we shared the Gemelli Di Matteo which were cooked perfectly! It had crumbled hot sausage, broccoli rabe, roasted tomatoes, plenty of garlic and hot peppers. It was really good. Service was excellent !! We stopped here for lunch. It was a quiet Saturday afternoon. The place is fine, clean and comfortable, but feels a little like Grandmas old dining room. We opted to sit outside which was nicer. Service was good and so was our food. Hamburger/fries and hot wings. The wings had lots of seasoning (maybe thyme and rosemary) then hot wing sauce on top. Definitely a different flavor. Kind of tasted like the chicken was prepared for dinner, but used for lunch. Overall it tasted alright. I didn't eat off the dinner menu, so that may deserve 5 stars. I initially sat at the Tiki Bar and the bartender was much to be desired. She looked miserable and didn't seem to want to bother with me or what I was asking. Wasn't given a menu and when I asked for one she arbitrarily waved to the table behind me who had menus. At this point it was too late to find a new place to eat so I went upstairs to their resturant area. The customer service was better and the waitor/bartender actually seemed to want to work. We were disappointed with our recent (and first) visit to Marina View. Based on friends' reviews, we were expecting something better. Upon arriving, I wouldn't say we were greeted with a warm welcome. After changing our minds about outdoor dining that evening (the sun was beating down), we were shown a table that was not the best, sort of in the middle of the action and next to a noisy table in the small dining room. So be it. Before coming I had checked out the menu online and decided on a number of dishes that sounded good. But when handed the menu, it was a stripped down list of choices. Apparently, this is their "Saturday" menu as it was explained. So none of my choices were on the menu and had to order something else. The service was excruciatingly inattentive. Usually you would expect the waiter to take drink orders almost immediately after being seated. Not here. We waited and waited and had to flag down the waiter to take our drinks order. After some more waiting we ordered the clams oreganato appetizer, which was tasty enough, if not on the skimpy side. Same thing for the main course, which I would describe as just ok. Fine, but nothing special, and better elsewhere. After dinner, and finally getting a dessert menu, we again waited for the waiter to return, who albeit was probably very busy, but just seemed to dart back and forth past our table without taking notice whether we were ready to order. Finally, we just said screw this and skipped dessert and got the check. It's a shame since the surroundings are very nice, on the water and all. But unfortunately, the poor service turned this into a "wouldn't come back" experience. read more

Tried to have a bridal shower at this location. The owner (Mike) either has very poor business ethics or a terrible memory because EVERY phone call, I had to reiterate who I was, what date I wanted and he would check each time I called to see if it was available. I was not about to hand someone a check who doesn't have a log of events, memory issues or/and bad business ethics. So i went with my plan B. The day before the actual event he actually called me to see if i still wanted my event at his location. When he called me ironically he remembered everything about my event. Went to the place during the 4th of July holiday. I made sure to make a reservation just in case. The restaurant is located on the second floor, the bottom area they have a small tiki bar. You do have to go through stairs so keep that in mind if you are going there to eat. The view was really nice and our table was by the window so we got a nice view of the water and the boats. They have a nice bar area and also some table for outside seating. Ordered drinks and I ordered the froze. It was so delicious and perfect for the weather. Appetizers were good, really liked the crab cakes and liked that they were crispy and not soggy. Then I also ordered the clam chowder soup. I do have to say I wish it was more creamier but it was still tasty. For main course I ordered the lobster roll. It was good size and the fries were seasoned. While it tasted good I did wish it had a little more butter in it. Overall, it was a nice and pleasant experience. Our waitress was really nice. read more

Arrived on time for a reservation at the Tiki Bar. There were two tables occupied and the server/bartender told me to just go to the other side of the bar for additional seating. Unfortunately, I wasn't paying close attention to the floor (why would you) and I all but ruined my shoes walking through about 2 inches of water. No tables were set, chairs strewn about so I asked the server if I could change the reservation to the main restaurant. Graciously, she arranged for that. We were seated outside, as per our original request, but the view was a little underwhelming, as was the rest of the experience. No where on the website does it mention that the weekend menu is different from what is published. We had our hearts set on menu items that were not available. Grrrr..... It took a while for us to be acknowledged, and our orders were taken in a very aloof manner. We didn't feel welcomed or comfortable at all. Friendly Service. I think we went when they just opened after COVID-19. They had what I would call a lunch or shortened menu however they still had many options. We sat at the top balcony with the water and boat views. Absolutely gorgeous. I wish I took pictures of the food - we were hungry & it's been a bit since I've posted. I wish I would have. We had calamari, raw clams & fried shrimp as appetizers. The fried shrimp was really good. I personally didn't care much for the calamari but it wasn't bad. The clams must've been good, didn't even get to try one, LoL. I had the arugula salad with chicken. I wished for more arugula so I could keep eating (it ran out before my chicken and it was delish)! The Mrs. decided she wanted to go out for dinner last night so we went to this spot off of Shore Rd in New Rochelle. We've been here before so no big deal. Got there and noticed the menu had changed. That's when we were informed that it was under new management. Crowded on the inside so we asked for a table on the patio. They accommodated us and set it up quickly. Asked if we would like drinks and they recommended the lavender margarita. Not too bad. Came back and took our orders. That was at about 7:35. During our wait, a couple came and were also seated outside. 8:07, we finally get our appetizers. Funnily enough, this couple gets their apps 2 minutes after we did even though they showed up 25 minutes after we did. Another 30 minutes, no entrees. My youngest daughter (who happens to be a chef) goes inside to see what exactly the issue was and was not satisfied with the reasoning for the delay. Anyway, the food comes out and is actually very good. After dinner, as a way to apologize for the delay, they bring us free dessert. 2 ice cream dishes. One with nuts, one without. Or at least, that's what we were told. The ice cream dish with cherries inside also had almonds. This was the one we almost gave my grandson who has a nut allergy. And after all of this, nothing comp'd. I gave 3 stars because the food was very good but it would seem they need additional servers and kitchen staff. read more

Amazing food - the best escargot in Westchester and delicious bread to dip - superb branzino - pasta dishes excellent - grilled chicken cesar salad - and seafood salad are some of my favorites - consistently exceptional food. Well let me tell you my friend Luigi surprised me by telling me about the restaurant he was involved in so we figured let's stop by and support well let me tell you it did not disappoint. The appetizers lobster bisque and lobster roll was cooked to perfection then I had the pappardella with scallops asparagus and a light cream sauce and it was very good the veal piccata was also good in the fettuccine with shrimp was so fresh. I highly recommend this place you will be impressed. Our bartender and waitress name was Sage very courteous and polite Luigi came over to make sure we were happy. Honestly the food was really not good. Gnocchi tasted like the sauce was from a can. Lobster bisque was watery, not good. Steak was over cooked. Spent like $75 (incl tip) on two soups, a salad, and two main dishes... very disappointed. They did however deduct the cost of the soups, which was nice.
