What an experience!!! Mario is the sweetest person. He was so kind and helpful. He is very knowledgeable and knows what he's doing. I bought in a gown and needed some alterations and honestly, it was a bit pricey for me. I told him I couldn't really afford the cost and he told me what to do to make some of the alterations myself and he'll finish it up. He even gave me the matching thread to take home to do some of the alterations myself. He went out of his way to shorten the dress for me at no cost. Mario saves the day!... Really he does. I purchased my wedding dress at a sample sale brand new. I needed a few alterations( shoulders) and a bustle. I shopped all around for my alterations. I visited shops in Brooklyn, Suffolk County, Manhattan. Most of the shops quoted prices more than my gorgeous Pronovias gown. He helped me design and create my dream wedding dress by using a simple silk dress I purchased and deconstructing it while applying lace pieces from my moms wedding dress as well as beads from my grandmothers dress. I really appreciate the time he was able to get the dress done in. My daughter-n-law had to do two weddings (three if you do not count getting the marriage license and short ceremony) - 1 very religious and the second the party. In as much I would have loved for him to make each one from the start, we bought two basic dresses. He was a magician. He transformed each dress into a work of art incorporating the theme (religious vs party) and wove it into the dress. The religious one met all the specifications required and the party one made her feel that she was floating on the dance floor! The additions that he put on the dress (belt with crystals), added straps that were removable, unseen pinups for the train so she will not trip over herself while dancing and other items added so much.
