She took our order, repeated it back to us and closed out with the time expectation and a see you soon. Upon arriving, the restaurant wasn't crowded so it was easy in and easy out. The order was accurate and ready as advised. We confirmed everything was present, grabbed a few condiments, paid, and was out the door. As you will see by the pictures, this is REAL SAUSAGE. All these years later and The Silver Slipper is still holding it down. The sausage was fresh and super spicy just like I like it. The burn on the sausage was perfect and made the bites even more flavorful and textured. The toast was perfectly toasted and non-buttered which was perfect as the sausage had its own grease. Sure, it's gotten better over time, but it's still a little gray and industrial, with some funny meme signs trying to brighten things up. That's okay, because you come here for one thing: filling, satisfying comfort food. The menu is encyclopedic. Burgers? They got that. Pizza by the slice? Yep. Pasta? Like eight different kinds. Dinner combos? YURP. Chicken fingers, mozzarella sticks, jalapeño poppers, rice plates...if you're hungry, they probably have something you'll want. The burgers are the real stars. I offered her some of mine, but she politely declined and said she'd have to try it another time. It was such a funny, wholesome interaction. ^_^ Is it HEYTEA? No. Is it Ten One Tea? Also no. But you're also not paying HEYTEA prices, and after wandering around Moakley Park for hours on a scorching hot day, their boba absolutely hits the spot. Service can be a little slow, but if you're hanging out with friends and are just chilling out, you won't mind -- just don't come if you're in a rush. Come if you're hungry. There isn't much seating inside, so be prepared to wait for a chair to open up or take your food over to Moakley Park if the weather is nice.
