Came here by pure luck on a Saturday morning. We were greeted and seated right away. My group consisted of 4. Our drink order was taken within minutes and shortly after we placed the food order. Our waitress was Lupita, she definitely made our experience even a better one. She was super attentive and made sure our drinks were filled to the top. Great music choice and to our surprise they had mariachis. They take song requests so don't be shy to ask for your favorite song. The food came and it was delicious. Very tasty and the food portions are worth the money. We enjoyed everything that was ordered. From the appetizer to the main dish and let's not forget the chips and salsa you get while waiting. Came here after reading the reviews and they did not disappoint. We were a crowd of 5 and they seated us outside. It was next to the street but the sound was tolerable. Service was consistent, they checked on us and gave us everything we asked for. It's a seafood place so of course the dishes were centered on seafood. I had to deduct two stars because of minor things like the shrimp were not deveined, the clams and mussels were on the smaller side. The portion size was generous. Their lemonade was gigantic! I would try them again, next time maybe the fish tacos? Tip for parking, if there's no street parking, try parking next door at the CVS lot. read more

Went here for Mother's Day. We were a big party and they were very accommodating. Really appreciated the service. Parking is across the street by del taco they have security there for restaurant customers. The place was packed but they also have a waiting area with live music. The live music was so so, but nice environment. The bar area was very nice. The drinks were average of $25 each but i loved them. Loved the aesthetic they added to the drinks. The shrimp Baja tacos were delicious which is what i had. Overall i recommend good service good food good drinks = good time. read more

This was our first time visiting and we had a great experience from the moment we walked in. Everyone was welcoming and attentive throughout our visit. I ordered the filete choix, which did not disappoint. The fish and shrimp with the spicy chipotle sauce were flavorful, and the spice level was perfect for my taste. The service was excellent. Several staff members checked on us during our meal to make sure everything was going well, which truly stood out and showed the level of care they have for their guests. I also really appreciated the restaurant's decor and atmosphere. We were seated in a semi-outdoor area near the host stand, which still turned out to be a great spot. A family member wanted to go eat some good Mexican food with a margarita. I searched yelp for the area we were in and Mariscos Choix popped up. The restaurant is on the busy Firestone street with limited parking. You couldn't tell what it is until you get inside. It's a gorgeous spot hidden on the main corner. Seating and space gives me a mix of Latin/ Cuban vibes inside. We sat in small seating section that was next to a couch. The hand held menu is in Spanish, i tried to use my Spanish knowledge from Duolingo lol Eventually we asked for an English menu which they had available via qr code on the table. I ordered the fajitas mixtas which had steak, shrimp, and fish with bell peppers. It was so tasty. The rice and beans with healthy and light as well. My guest ordered the fried fish fillet with a salad and a side of rice and beans. The fish was delightfullll. It tastes like panko crusted tilapia maybe another fish. We could have ate a whole plate of just that fish. We ordered margaritas and they had good flavor. Unfortunately they were quite expensive for each one, so we savored them as dessert. read more

This place has really upgraded since I was last here. The decor is really nice, like you're in Tulum. The service was great! We got the ceviche mixto tostada, tacos de pulpo zarandeados, taco de pescado, taco de gobernador, and taco de mar y tierra. All the food was good but the mar y tierra was my least favorite. It was dry and a bit bland. There's also no parking for them, but most people seem to park at the parking lot near Del Taco. Good place for mariscos. read more

The aesthetics of the renovated restaurant are really nice! The restrooms were well maintained and clean. Menu variety is ample and lots to choose from. The tostada mixta was delicious and paired well with a delicious michelada. The tacos de pescado baja style were delicious! The chipotle sauce was spicy and the blue tortilla was soft and flavorful. The kids menu options limited as usual in these types of seafood restaurants. We tried the agua de piña which I wasn't a fan of. Don't expect a traditional agua de piña because it is far from that and it was truly disappointing. It tasted awfully sweet -- like a mix of pineapple juice/soda. Definitely not your traditional agua fresca! 1/10. We also tried the caldo de camarón and while the taste was okay, the smell was not. It had a very fishy odor. Yes, I understand it's seafood but no way it should have that fishy smell and slight taste. In addition, the cóctel de camarón and aguachiles were spot on. Overall, good music, great aesthetics, and good service. Not a fan of the caldos and agua fresca though. Maybe next visit will be different. read more

Our top 3 are aguachile negro, tacos de pulpo, empanadas governador, highly recommend those appetizers. Today we tried, the molcajete, with NY steak, chicken, shrimp, bone marrow, chorizo, veggies. It is a good portion, shareable and the NY steak was cooked to perfection. Service has been great, both times we have been here, everyone is welcoming and attentive even when busy. Today our server was Karlen and another server whose name I didn't catch, but you ladies rock. We will be returning, this is our new favorite mariscos. They do accept cc, nearby street parking. Had an "early dinner" at this location on a Wednesday at 5pm. Ambiance was great! Very pathetically pleasing. The patio is beautiful and has heaters for colder days/evenings. The inside is just as beautiful and welcoming. Andre O. was our server and he was so patient and kind. His manners were top notch. The hospitality was great! He consistently checked on us and provided everything we needed. Felt like he was one of our friends. It made the experience much more pleasant because it's hard to find good service nowadays. I order the aguachiles plate (the green chile). Twas delicious! Spicy but not too spicy. Felt like just the right amount! Then I had the fish tacos (Baja style- fried) and they were so gooood. Fresh delicious taste. The food here taste authentic and delicious. It's not like one of those trendy gourmet Mexican spots where you pay a lot and get a lil for bad quality. It's the exact opposite.
