The food is always "on point" and has a lot of flavor but I recommend requesting no salt or seasoning on your fish or fries as they both have a lot of flavor already. I think this place needs more staff at both of their locations. The attitude is lackadaisical and the person at the register at both locations often seems as though they are overwhelmed and upset that people are even there to order. Get more help!

I was excited as I love the sweet nutty flavor of red snapper.  I watched as the fish fried.  Red snapper was coated in cornmeal batter and was crunchy on the outside.  Normally cornmeal batter has a slightly sweet and slightly salty flavor.  I didn't taste much from either the batter or the fish other than the fried batter flavor. Fries were very crunchy and dry.  Not overcooked but close. I added 5 shrimp to the order.  There was a ton of batter and some kind of hot sauce used to season the batter which hid the flavor of the shrimp.  I did not like the flavor so I gave the rest of the shrimp to Maggie who didn't like the flavor of the oil or the batter. Staff was nice.  Sadly my search for delicious fried red snapper continues.

The horchata in a fancy cup helped lighten the mood. The food is great! The service was pretty darn good too! My fav was the La Mazateña shrimp. They were fabulous! On another note and not part of the review, the restrooms- they were in the back, attached to the back room where people were eating. there was a sign pointing down a hallway that pointed to restrooms. Went down and thought the lights would turn on. They didn't. Someone came from out of the dark. Surprise?!?! Phone light out. Ah, women's. No light in there. I was desperate. I went in w phone light. Realized that someone else was in there going too. They got out of the stall and tried to switch the light on, and nope. Finished going, light randomly turns on. Wash and go go go!
