Shrimp (Shelled or Peeled) (Per Pound) With Lemon Pepper
Lisa H.

I love places that have the seafood boiled in the bag with your choice of sauce. There are quite a few different restaurants that do this style but each has their own twist on it. My husband and I each ordered a pound of shrimp each but in different preparations. I ordered mine in garlic with 2 corn and one potato with the shrimp peeled without the head. I love my shrimp with the peel and head but I wasn't feeling well and wanted to make the meal easy to eat so I sacrificed a little in the flavor department for convenience. When I opened the bag I was surprised that the potato was huge. I've never had a huge russet potato used in preparation before. I thought I wasn't going to like it but it was actually pretty good. And it was equivalent to at least 3 or 4 potatoes that you usually get in these type of bags. The shrimp , corn , and potatoes were delicious in the super garlicky butter sauce. I dripped a little on my clothes that are ruined forever and I didn't even care because I was enjoying my meal. Oil never washes out so be careful. My husband ordered his shrimp with shell and head in with lemon pepper sauce and two corn and three potatoes. He had a lot of potato! Lol. His was good but not at all what we were expecting. We originally planned to share both styles but his was so spicy that I couldn't eat any of his. We were expecting lemon pepper like the spice we get at the super market or the rub we get on wings. What he got looked like shrimp in molten lava. It was pepper as in super spicy chili pepper sauce with lemon slices. It had a nice flavor but since I ordered it mild I couldn't understand how spicy it came. The shrimp also came peeled with out the heads. Luckily my husband is better with spice than I am. He was able to eat most of it but would have enjoyed it more if it had been milder and had the heads as he ordered it. I can still recommend this restaurant as the flavors are very good and if we had eaten in the restaurant instead of having it delivered then they probably would have remade my husbands meal the way he ordered it for him and I would have been able to give them five stars. Unfortunately as it is I took off a star for missing two order notes. They did a great job packing up for Togo food. They even give you gloves and bibs.

We came here without a reservation and was seated right away. Servers were very nice during the meal. Got a pound of shrimp with some fries. Overall it was a fresh vibe with lots of natural light inside. Its a bit of a drive for me and there's other boil spots closer to me, so I wouldn't make the drive routinely for this one

The shrimp was good with the seasoning. We went a little early and nobody was in there. later people started coming. It's a small place, but it's cute and clean. You can get beer. It's right on the end by smiths on rainbow. The manager annie is very sweet. We got light spice, and it made my nose running a little. So be careful. Our waiter was very nice and gave us good service. They bring you gloves and a bib. Because things can get messy. You should try here it's good.

Amazing service from Nikon (or Niko?) ! His recommendation for spice level was right on! 1/2 house hot and 1/2 Cajun medium. He compared the medium spice level to regular hot Cheetos and hot as the black bag of hot Cheetos and it was so spot on! Lol

We enjoyed it! Family friendly & away from the chaos of the city. Its perfect option if you like boiling crab& hot & juicy. The Ambiance is nice with much to look at. We left satisfied and didn't reek of garlic ( thank goodness!) We ordered shrimp both peeled and with the head on. The easy option for kids were the peeled ones but the shrimp with the head on hold better flavor. We also got snow crab in the garlic butter sauce, which is perfect for kids and a side of the captains mix sauce. *garlic edamame was a nice side *Cajun fries were good fresh but had a small kick to it *the staff was very kind

Amazing! I'm so glad we came here, service was superb, the food was delicious, the ambiance was on point with the great playlist- r&b, hip hop, oldies and ERYKA BADU, which is my favorite artist so bonus points! right away they seated my party of 7 and served us waters without asking. Another bonus in this Vegas heat! If I can rate it 10 stars I so would! Thank you everyone at Captain's Seafood boil, I'll definitely be back!

I yelped seafood near me and this restaurant came up about 3.0 miles from my home the reviews looked good and also the food. We dined in on a Thursday night for a party of 9. Surprisingly we were the only ones there. We got seated and the male server was fantastic all night right away he took our drink orders and then took our food order. It was our first time here so we ordered a few of the duo combo feeds 2 guests comes with 1 lb shrimp, crawfish, potatoes corn and sausage we chose the captains mix and spicy level mild as I was sharing with my two kids. My sister ordered 1 lb shrimp with snow crab legs and mild for spice with lemon pepper and side of garlic in the mix. The captains mix I think was better. The fries is a must it was the shoe string type and they drizzled it with ranch powder and their ranch dipping sauce was bomb as well tastes like wings top but the consistency here was a tad thicker. My bro in-laws boil was spicer then he can handle so our server kindly gave him warm butter to help reduce the spicy ness without him even asking. We met the chef that was there he super nice. The women's restrooms were super cute. Very different well designed. No diaper changing station. The light switches was named party and work, if you switched the party light a disco light would appear and the work switch was just your regular Light bulb. The only thing about this seafood boil was that you only had 1 choice of sauce versus unlimited choices like hot and juicy and boiling crab. Otherwise our server young Lao gentlemen was great and the food was on point!!!

Captain's Seafood Boil took over the old Valencia Gold spot in the Smith's plaza. Came here with two of my friends a bit ago to try them out. We all love seafood boils and some of my favorite spots in town is Hot n Juicy/Capt Loui so we just had to give it a try. Arrived around 6PM on a Friday night and was seated immediately. They didn't seem busy at all. They have the same seafood varieties as other seafood boil places but they do have combos, which is nice. Their combos usually have a mixture of shrimp, crawfish, mussels, or crab legs. Unfortunately, I'm not really into crawfish and mussels much so none of the combos really worked out for us. I decided to go for a pound of shrimp, house sauce, and medium spice. If you want corn or potato with your seafood boil, you would have to add them and they do cost extra. Most other places provide corn/potato for free when you get a pound of seafood. The shrimp was good -- good flavor and nice texture. None of it had that gross mushy texture. Their house sauce was a bit on the tangy side so they either added a good ratio of lemon or it had vinegar? It wasn't really my favorite type of flavor -- I think I prefer the other places' sauces more. Place was clean and modern. Service was good -- they refilled our waters and checked up on us. Unfortunately, they're just not my cup of tea. For me, I really have to love their sauce and I don't love the sauce at Captain's Seafood Boil. I do like their location though!

Dined here a couple of weeks ago. We originally planned on having dinner somewhere in Chinatown. We called a few places, but they were either fully booked or had long wait times. We searched for restaurants that took reservations and came across Captain's Seafood Boil. It turned out to be a great find. Food was great. We got sweet potato fries to start. They gave us complimentary garlic bread, 4 big pieces, with lots of chopped garlic on top. They were delicious. We ordered 2 pounds of shrimp---1 pound of captain's mix and 1 pound of the garlic butter. Both flavors were amazing, but I liked captain's mix better. The flavor was excellent. It was really good especially with rice. Before finishing the first batch, we ordered two more pounds with the same sauces. The place was clean and well-lit. The bathroom decor was nice. There were two light switches. One marked "work" and the other "play". Hit the "work" switch for regular lights, flick the "play" switch and you'll see some party lights. Pretty cool. Service was good. Our server was accommodating. Will be coming back for sure.

After a night church service my friend was craving crab legs. We both set off to google/yelp and we both came up with this place! It did not disappoint!! I totally forgot to take pics of the food. Staff was friendly and helpful with our questions as we wanted crab and shrimp. We opted for the captain mix sauce and medium. I'm a bit of a wimp but it was just enough spicy. Cute decor and nicely decorated for the holidays.

What a surprisingly good date night spot with a more upscale feel without a huge price tag! Came to this spot after another seafood boil place left us on read. The inside is super clean and the decor is very contemporary and fun, yet a bit sophisticated. They have a very nice looking bar (liquor license pending as of my visit on 4/26) and outdoor dining area. It far exceeded my expectations. We had the twin lobster tail special with additional shrimp and it was great. The tails were large and along with the shrimp was some of the best seafood boil I've had in town. An excellent value for the price. The service was outstanding and our server was so kind. She even brought a bit of the Captain's spice for us to try and recommended trying it with their chicken wings next visit. 100% will be returning.

I've been to this place few times. Never had had any problems or issues about this place. I love the aesthetics. And the bathroom super cute set up with shiny disco ball. The food is amazing love how they always drown the bag with sauce which I love about. The service and staff are awesome they always make sure you are always good making sure the customer is happy. I definitely recommend coming back here. And it's close to my area. :)

What a great spot in the southwest area. The decor and ambiance are nice with a bar as well and a few tvs. The spices and aroma hit you once you walk in. Our server greeted us and made recommendations as well as described the different sauces, we chose the captains mix. We did the meal for 2 with 1lb of crab legs. The medium heat and spice was perfect. Overall great experience and place to get a seafood boil in the local neighborhood.

The flavors were okay, but not as strong or fresh as I was expecting. Service: Service was friendly and efficient for the most part. You're not overpaying, but the quality doesn't necessarily exceed expectations either. Ambiance: Very laid-back, local, and comfortable. It has that classic neighborhood diner feel, which makes it easy to relax and just grab a meal. Pros: Friendly service, casual atmosphere, fair prices, and convenient spot for a quick meal. Cons: Food was a bit inconsistent and underwhelming compared to expectations. Overall, it wasn't a bad experience, just not a standout one. I'd consider coming back again to see if it was just an off day, because I've heard good things from others.
