Fermented pineapple juice that was "fresh"
    Fernando A.

I should of heeded the reviews. Honestly.. im writing this before I get sick. No flavor in the meat, lemon and salt are your friends... the "jugo de piña" we ordered tasted fermented like kombucha... like.. rotted. The chips de asada was my last option. They were out of fish, and shrimp. Like HOW!?! Anyways.. its flavorless. As a mexican.. this is sad. The reviews dont lie. Its basically a dive bar/restaurant. The locals here are just drunk workers whom have nowhere else to go. They tip the waitresses because its basically them sweet talking them and being drunk. The food was bland, not worth the 70 i paid. Could of gone to a burger spot for half the price and better food.

Fresh, fresh fresh ! Do you know it's probably going to be good when the chips and salsa impress you first .. And quite an extensive menu, If you like a Mariscos, make your way to this lovely restaurant with a welcoming staff. Indoor and outdoor seating. very near the beach.. parking was easy to which is not your usual in this side of town. As I practice my Spanish my server practiced her English. It was a lovely encounter., Bonus they make their flan in-house Decadent!

Local and authentic. A setting full of love, eye contact and very good food. I had ceviche and my friend had tacos. Both were fresh and very very good. The salsas couldn't have been fresher and this was at 9pm at night. Again, the staff go the extra mile without even trying. Can't wait to come back.

    Clamato preparado

Awesome coastal Mexican food and great service! We visited on a Sunday afternoon and enjoyed their complimentary chips and salsa plus guacamole, shrimp ceviche, asada taco, agua mineral preparada with lime and tajín, and jugo de tamarindo. Everything hit the spot and was truly delicious! The service was also super fast and attentive! Check this spot out!

This place is great but prices went off the roof for a seafood restaurant. Love this place but too expensive.

I went on a Friday night and it was VERY lively! There was a band playing by the bar and it was packed! People were drinking, dancing, hanging out. All of this is happening in a supermarket! Lots of food vendors to check out and all of it looked delicious! I don't remember the names of the places my friend and I ordered food from, but I had a chile relleno burrita, seafood cocktail, and pozole. I've never really had chile relleno, so I decided to just go for it and try something different even though there were other options that were more my preference. It was alright. Good thing it was only $5. The seafood cocktail was delicious! They did not skimp on the seafood and everything in it tasted so fresh. Pozole wasn't terrible, but just like my burrita, it was a bit on the bland side. Maybe my palate skews too heavily towards salty, but I felt like a little salt here and there would've really improved the flavors in everything we ordered. Overall the quality/freshness was there! Regarding the market part, nothing special. Maybe a little more selection than your typical Northgate, especially in the liquor department. Their wall of tequila was impressive. I will definitely be back again to try the other foods! In fact, I may just come all the way out here to do grocery shopping from time to time. I saw a guy doing some shopping with a cocktail in his cart and I want to live that life. Bro definitely had the right idea.

During my recent visit, Wendy at cashier station 5 on 6.13.2026 at around 7:30pm provided extremely disrespectful service and openly stated that she did not care enough to learn the pricing codes while scanning items. This raises concerns about pricing accuracy, not only for me but for other loyal customers as well. Fortunately, the employee assisting with bagging demonstrated far more professionalism and took the initiative to correct the mistakes caused by Wendy's lack of attention and concern. I hope management addresses this issue, as customers deserve courteous service and confidence that they are being charged accurately.

I really enjoyed the puerto Nuevo enchiladas and my 4 yr old loved them too! He also nearly went face down in the flan with coconut ice cream. My son loves coconut ice cream but now he also loves flan! They have a cool decor in the restaurant and it's very modern. There's a bathroom at the end and they have high chairs if you need them. The ambiance was super cool too. Perfect for a date night, out with friends or just happy hour. The food was AMAZING. I had their Salmon Al Pastor and it was simply scrumptious! It was so soft and cooked to perfection! It was almost sweet and the skin so flavorful. It was a side of white rice with a sweet tone to it and fresh veggies. I will definitely order this again! My friend had Chicken Fajitas and they were super yummy. I also had a Watermelon Cucumber Margarita and it was simply delicious. I will also order this again!

LOL…read more We came out here for Sunday Brunch on Mother's Day and it was one of the BEST MOTHER'S DAY BRUNCHES we have celebrated in years. The food was excellent [wife loved the Elote Corn], the drinks were amazing, the service was on point [Wife said Manny was the best and his dancing is the best entertainment], but what made the experience so enjoyable was the patio atmosphere. I guess they just recently started having DJ's on the patio for Sunday Brunch and the 2 DJ's that I spoke to really quick, Brandon and Jensen were absolutely amazing [Wife said, they used to DJ the Saturday Brunch at the Country Club that her and her friends loved, and the 3rd DJ Matt, Brandon's Brother, they used to DJ Friday Nights at Memphis Cafe]. They played the biggest range of music from Salsa to Reggaeton, 80's New Wave to 90's R&B, 2000's Hip Hop, the whole MJ era with cool house remixes and even a little bit of reggae. If you were a kid that grew up in the 80's and 90's they take you on the most amazing musical journey that just brings back a ton of good memories. And to top it off, seeing the servers dancing and enjoying themselves with the greatest attitudes makes this one of OC's Hidden Gems for sure. Definitely going back there for sure!
