Great spot! Loved my martini and spicy rigatoni with chicken. It's on the pricey side but the ambiance is fun and the whole menu looked great! Would definitely come back!

Came here last night and had a phenomenal time. The service was great, the host was kind and asked us about our days. Our waitress checked on us consistently and made sure we were happy and never needed refills. I wish I had gotten her name because she was great! Everyone there was kind and helpful! The food was amazing. The Chilean Sea Bass here is my favorite!! I dream of their whipped potatoes. Also, by far the best place to get butter cake. It was soooo good. The espresso martini was the perfect amount of sweetness that I had to have two. Overall the food was spectacular and always is! This location is so cute and has a nice beachy vibe. We will definitely be back!!!

Delicious steak with the blue cheese...makes my mouth watery just thinking it. Highly recommended.

NICK's What an Orange County staple. I had been requesting a location closer to me for yearssss. It's about time we got one in the Newport beach / Irvine / costa Mexico zone. Ain't nobody got time to go to Laguna, San Clemente. Or manhattan beach. This happens to also be my favorite location because the overall vibe, aesthetic / space but especially because of the service and hospitality provided here. Cheers. Oh yea and the whole menu is good. Not one bad item.

My 4.5 yr old son and I enjoy going out to dinner but I'm occasionally stuck with where we can go that isn't a place we eat all the time. I called up Nick's to find out if they had anything for kids and they have an unpublished kids' menu. The choices we were offered for the kids menu included: grilled chicken, chicken fingers, salmon, mini ribs, mini steak, buttered noodles and a grilled cheese sandwich. All options included carrots and French fries. In addition to the kids meal, my son and I shared the asparagus fries. He loved them. I loved them. They were very tasty with the buttermilk ranch. I also ordered the Chilean sea bass which came with a salty spinach salad with almond slivers, mashed potatoes and a little bit of burre blanc sauce, although it was thin and could use more. Overall, it was a tasty meal and service was good. I taught the hosts why you don't seat a 4 yr old in a high table (fall risk) so we were seated immediately at a normal table. We'll likely come back next time we need a change from our usual rotation of restaurants.

Food is good though some classic favorites seem to have been reworked. Service was efficient but impersonal (fine for a Saturday). They have an enclosed patio but don't be deceived, they are not dog friendly. I was allowed to sit innocuously off to the side with my service dog, but they wouldn't even give him a bowl for water. Surely this can be handled more delicately in the future if someone is having $100 lunch. I'll stick to the original location.

We had a girls night here - we don't get together often but when we do we try to pick out fun places. Nick's was absolutely amazing. The drinks were wonderful. It's a lively atmosphere, but still quiet enough to talk. We got the Coco Rita, Hugo Spritz and an Old Fashioned. For dinner crispy rice with spicy tuna appetizers (a must) and the prime dip and salmon (perfectly cooked) and a salad. Everything was delicious. A shared butter cake for dessert (another must). The unexpected highlight about our evening was our server Kirby - she was the best waitress we've ever had (not exaggerating). She was personal and funny and kept us laughing the whole night. She was just what our mom's night needed. Thanks Kirby. Wish you could have sat down and joined us. Nick's - she is a gem of a human being and makes your restaurant shine.

What else is there to do on a sunny afternoon in Newport Beach!? An impromptu lunch with my girl of course! Service by Larissa was excellent and she provided great recommendations. We decided to order the shrimp taquitos, spicy tuna with rice, bistro salad with salmon and their delicious cucumber collins which actually isn't on the menu anymore but the bar can still make it. Everything was exceptional aside from parking but this is definitely a solid place for fresh food and great ambience.

Solid, as you would expect from Nick''s. Excellent service, beautiful people (except for me!), fantastic food. Brutal parking - they don't validate valet - get there early or look for street parking not too far away. Or pay the valet fee. Huge covered patio. I got the blackened fish sandwich. Really delicious. But way too messy with the coleslaw. I ended up eating it with a fork and knife. My colleague had the chicken sandwich which looked excellent. See photos.

Great variety across the entire meal. We started with the zucchini fries, regular fries, and spicy tuna crispy rice. The fries were perfectly crisp and the crispy rice had a great mix of textures. For mains, we ordered the ribeye melt, spicy rigatoni, and the bistro plate that came w filet mignon and tomato bisque. Each dish was unique and well done, which made sharing fun. The patio atmosphere is really cute and the service was friendly and attentive. Overall, a solid spot that I would definitely return to.

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Nick's last week. We started with Stephanie who was covering for a server on break. Then our server came and introduced herself. I can't remember her name but it started with a C I think. They were both great servers and gave amazing recommendations! All the food was delicious, but you HAVE to try their French Onion Soup. The vibe was very good too. Busy enough to have all tables occupied, but not too packed to where you can't walk in and have to reserve in advance. We came late on a Saturday though. We live closer to Pasadena and will have to check out that location next. But if we're ever in Newport again, we'll be back!

This has always been an excellent restaurant to eat at and love it's here in Newport Beach must closer to where we live. The food is consistently excellent and our service was great. Visited for cocktails and appetizers. Love love the shrimp taquitos. The shrimp is fresh and side green salsa gives them just a little cilantro spicy kick! These are a must try every visit. The asparagus fries with the grilled artichoke paired perfectly with my dirty martini!

Amazing vibes, food, and service! They have valet parking, but if you're lucky you can find parking in the small lot, or street parking behind the restaurant. French Dip 10/10. Super tender and juicy, and the au jus is chefs kiss. The french fries were a little undercooked but I've been to the Pasadena location and it was not. Must have been an off day but all good. Bread 10/10. Not on the menu but this is what they had when we asked for bread and butter. It was amazing! the inside of the bread is pre-soaked in garlic butter. Bistro Plate 8/10. I love small portions with variety in general so this was perfect. The filet was just ok, but the salad was amazing. The soup of the day was creamy french onion, it was good but it might be an acquired taste that I haven't acquired. I didn't love it as much as I would have liked tomato soup. Overall great experience. We'll likely re-order the french dip, bread, and a full salad in the future!

It took a minute to locate the restaurant and figure out parking, but once we arrived at the door, the experience was first-class from beginning to end. The hostess was charming and welcoming, the staff kept our waters filled and the table spotless, and our server, Juan, was outstanding. His knowledge of the menu, detailed descriptions, and personal recommendations made ordering easy and built our anticipation for every dish. We started by sharing the beet salad and Chicken Tinga Empanadas with the Gringo Killer Sauce. The beet salad was fresh and beautifully balanced, while the empanadas were packed with rich, savory flavor. The Gringo Killer Sauce added a bold kick that made them especially memorable. My wife ordered the wedge salad, my daughter chose the Grilled Octopus Al Pastor, and I had the 8 oz Picanha special. Every dish was exceptional. The octopus was a creative and flavorful take on al pastor, and the Picanha special was perfectly cooked, tender and was an absolute standout. Everything was so impressive that I sent my compliments to the chef and was fortunate enough to meet Chef Jackie personally. Then came dessert. Juan described a peach cobbler special that immediately had my mouth watering, while my daughter ordered the Espresso Crème Brûlée. Juan returned to our table with three plates and spoons and informed me that Chef Jackie has recommended her specialty. I did not argue, Chef knows best. She surprised me by sending out something different: a slice of Baklava Cheesecake accompanied by a scoop of house-made peach cobbler ice cream. Now, I have eaten some outstanding cheesecakes all around the world, but this Baklava Cheesecake was on an entirely different level. It was rich, layered, perfectly textured and flaky, and so unbelievably delicious that I nearly licked the plate clean. The house-made peach cobbler ice cream was equally impressive--light and creamy, yet captured the full peach cobbler flavor. The Espresso Crème Brûlée was also beautifully executed, with a crisp caramelized sugar shell and a deep, smooth coffee-flavored custard. My daughter ate half of hers before turning her attention to the cheesecake, and she does not even like cheesecake. That alone should tell you how special it was. I live three hours away, but I will absolutely be making the drive back. Lemon & Thyme delivers exceptional food, thoughtful hospitality, creative dishes, and the kind of personal service that turns a meal into a lasting memory. This is my new favorite restaurant!!! Do yourself a favor and make the trip to Lemon & Thyme. Ask for Juan, trust Chef Jackie, and do not leave without desert. Chef Jackie, Juan and the rest of the staff, thank you for the amazing experience!!!

Parking is in a residential, so good luck on those who cant parallel park. The establishment itself is super cute. Very well decorated and love the mix of beach costal vibes with the western look. Lots of merch and treats (high end, notable brands) on the side of the line to look at while you are waiting. There is indoor and outdoor seating. Plenty of spots and great for parties of 2-4. Also great it you are going solo like I did. Wait took about 15 minutes to order. Ordered the Guava Matcha and the Desert Glaze coffee drink with regular milk, less sweetness and less milk. Very easy going about the adjustments and were able to cater towards my request. Drinks took about 10ish minutes, quoted 10-15 minutes. Service was pleasant. Drinks were honestly ok. I had high hopes for their matcha cause I have heard and seen such great praises for it, but honestly mediocre at best. The flavor of guava does shine through and jt wasn't too sweet, but the matcha did not really have any matcha flavor or notes. The desert glaze was also just ok. Still a bit more of the milky and creamy side. The espresso was definitely a good quality but even with requesting less milk, I still feel like the milk overtook the whole drink. For taking up about 25-30 minutes to just get some drinks and not even food, I don't think it was worth the wait in line or searching of parking. Personally, glad to have seen and tried the drinks and might come back to try their food and a different drink, but probably won't come back for a while. Not worth my driving all the way out here to try.

Usually restaurants ruin perfectly good deviled eggs by adding a bunch of crap in top. These were perfection. My entree was also delicious - the cubano sandwich with a side of cabbage/apple slaw. I feel like I ordered exactly right. Our server was fantastic and there were extra staff helping to keep our drinks full, I really appreciate that. At the end of the meal they brought my husband a birthday gelato. The only thing that made this dinner less than perfect was the parking situation. We parked in the lot below the restaurant but then could not figure out how to get one floor up. Better signage in the garage would have been great. Although it was nice that parking was validated.
