From the moment we walked in, we were greeted right away and felt an instant, welcoming energy, like we were part of the family. My husband asked me to meet him here for lunch a few weeks ago. We arrived around 11:45 a.m. and the place was already full. As many reviews mention, it's tiny, so expect a wait. We stood around for about 20 minutes before getting a table. The menu is limited. I went with the aguachiles verdes, and my husband got the Dos Plebes (he chose callo de hacha and ceviche de pescado). It took a while for the food to come out but we were told it was due to it being prepared fresh to order My aguachiles were tasty. My husband's tostadas tasted great too. Overall, the food was solid, but it didn't quite blow me away to make me go out of my way for it again. If you're a mariscos lover and in the East LA area, it's definitely worth stopping in to try. read more

Seriously, in this crazy hot weather who wants to cook! Was in the mood for something cool and refreshing and a hint spicy, this was perfect and hit the spot! Their shrimp aguachile is outstanding with the perfect amount of spice, that I love! The shrimp cocktail was yummy and refreshing, honestly, it was better the following day, where the flavors just marinated together. The fish taco was good. Customer Service was outstanding, thank you girls! Street parking is limited, we usually end up parking around the corner. Highly recommend and looking forward to coming back! read more

Mariscos La Pasadita is my new favorite find! If you love seafood I highly recommend this place if you're in the area. So far everything I've tried (tacos, aguachiles, ceviche) is so fresh and tasty. I recommend the shrimp tacos, Dorado or gobernador and their aguachiles. The tacos come with all the fixing, salsas and addicting sauces. You can order ahead or they have a couple of tables to dine-in. Service in-person and on the phone have always been so hospitable, you can tell they really try to take care of you here. read more

Was looking for some good seafood on a warm Saturday. I found this spot after googling places while in the area for a work meeting. It's kind of hidden in an industrial looking block, but once you walk in it's nice and clean. The cashier took my order quick and I waited less than 10 minutes. They have the option of green( mild) or red (spicy) sauce. I went for the red. My only wish is that they had horchata to cool off my tongue. It was pretty spicy but delicious. This place was great. Stopped by on a Sunday afternoon and it was pretty busy. As a matter of fact, the longer we were there the more it started to get busy. We ordered the dos plebe which let's you pick any two tostada options. We ordered the aguachile and callo de hacha. Nowhere on the menu does it say there is an additional fee for the callo. We were not told that was the case until we paid. I didn't like the hidden fees part of the meal. However, the food was good. The shrimp tacos were crispy and tasty. Every single time I get mariscos, it's the same exact thing. Super super super lemony and the fish is mehh. When I tell you that this place is fresh, clean, flavorful, delicious and exceeded my expectations, I mean it. I am so impressed with the quality and the flavor of everything. I came twice already within 4 days. I'll probably get it again tomorrow. This is not your average boring mariscos place. This place is IT. Simple menu and they have different combinations. The only thing that wasn't my fav was the fish taco but it wasn't bad either, just not for me. Aside from the food, service is beyond excellent. First time I went we had Sabrina as our server and she was soooo helpful and her recommendations were spot on. Second time we had Anahi and she was super nice and grabbed everything we needed. wow - this place is so so good !! We were craving seafood and this popped up on yelp and I'm so glad we came in. Portions are solid, price is super reasonable, and the food is amazing. We got the La Pasadita for a nice mix of aguachiles, ceviche de camarón, scallops and shrimp and shrimp cocktail. Ended with a handmade choco-flan that was the perfect texture. I can't think of a better mariscos restaurant than this one. It went straight to the top of my list after trying it. All fish is very fresh, flavorful, and very tender. I have tried aguachiles, shrimp tacos, fish tacos, the pulpo (octopus) and nothing disappointed. I've never had tender octopus at any mariscos joint. They shared some basic preparation methods with us and it makes sense why the octopus in particular stands out from other restaurants - the go the extra mile! Be advised that it is not a huge place and sometimes there is a bit of a wait. All I can say is that the food is worth the wait. The staff is always friendly and the restaurant and restrooms are very clean looking. Parking is on the street so plan accordingly. If you enjoy fresh-tasting and flavorful seafood, do yourself a favor and frequent this restaurant. I've taken 8 different people there and they all agree with my thoughts noted in this review. It's not a bunch of hype, this is the real deal. read more

A must try mariscos spot in East LA most definitely. Sinaloense style mariscos. What i love the most is that they aguachile weren't to over spicey that you can still enjoy the shrimp and toppings. All kinds of marisco tacos to try from, like tacos gobernadores , doradas and Ensenada style tacos. I highly recommend the coctel de camaron . The tomato juice put in it is definitely made from scratch taste so delicious I would put this in a michelada. And the staff are so helpful and friendly. I've been wanting to try this spot out and I'm glad I did. I was seated immediately, friendly waitress. The menu is straight to the point. I ordered aguachile verde tostada and a shrimp taco. If you're looking for fresh mariscos on a budget I would recommend this place. The plates are big enough to share and the quality is delicious. I found this place on instagram when they first opened about a year ago. I work in the area so every-time im nearby i stop in. Looks like the redecorated the dining room and it looks great ! Everyone that works here is super friendly and knowledgeable. ive tried just about everything on the menu at this point and every dish is FIRE. My favorite is the Sinaloense Botana. SHEESH. Tacos gobernador are fire too. Must try. You can tell these guys only use high quality ingredients. Everything from the seafood, to the veggies and sauces is full of color and the perfect texture. i asked them once where they get their stuff and all they told me is its as fresh and high quality as you can get. I have really received better service from Denny's and iHop. When this is supposed to be fine dining I do expect fine service with it too. The food: It was good, but I order the same thing at all locations, the lobster enchiladas. So thumbs up with the consistency at the California locations. I do think the Cabo location has a little extra twist of tasty. Drinks: I don't remember them being this lackluster at locations. The restaurant is so beautiful and has a nice ambiance to it. It makes you feel like you have traveled somewhere outside of downtown L.A. but that is where the magic ends. Our waitress felt very matter of fact with us. She wasn't outgoing and welcoming. I wanted to try something different and was going to ask her for a suggestion, but she really made me feel like she just wanted my order and don't bother her with anything else. When it was time to collect the plates from the table, it was weird. The men helping to clear the table never said anything like excuse me when reaching across us. I am only 5'3 so me being chest to table is pretty normal. One of them came too close for comfort to my chest when reaching across trying to clear the tables. Slow down and pay attention to where you are reaching. At the end of dinner, we never even looked at the dessert menu because at that point we were just ready to go. Upon departure, we had to stand and wait for our vehicles. All 3 of use drove in separate cars. So, we spent almost what we paid for meals in parking. Please Javier group, figure this location out or give it up to a restaurant who is going to deliver food and service as beautiful as the place itself.

Found this place on Yelp and decided to give it a try -- and the reviews absolutely did not disappoint! I ordered the fried fish taco and it was excellent. The fish was perfectly crispy on the outside while still tender and flaky inside, and they gave a very generous portion of fish compared to most places. You could tell everything was freshly prepared. The real standout for us was the botana. The scallops, octopus, and shrimp were all incredibly fresh, tender, and high quality seafood. The octopus in particular was cooked perfectly -- not rubbery at all. The sauce tied everything together beautifully with the perfect tangy, citrusy flavor that complemented the seafood without overpowering it. Every bite tasted fresh and flavorful. The service was also outstanding. Sabrina was so warm, attentive, and helpful, and made us feel genuinely welcomed from the moment we walked in. It's clear they really care about both the food and customer experience. The restaurant itself is very clean, cute, and cozy with about six tables inside, giving it a small local spot feel. The cocktail was a harmonious composition: the shrimp, plump and cold; the octopus, tender yet assertive; the jaiva, a whisper of the ocean's depth. Each element, lovingly bathed in a rich, tangy tomato broth, was elevated by lime and a precise balance of spice. It was not unlike a symphony in a glass--bracing, bold, and impossibly fresh.
