Was looking for some good seafood on a warm Saturday. I found this spot after googling places while in the area for a work meeting. It's kind of hidden in an industrial looking block, but once you walk in it's nice and clean. The cashier took my order quick and I waited less than 10 minutes. They have the option of green( mild) or red (spicy) sauce. I went for the red. My only wish is that they had horchata to cool off my tongue. It was pretty spicy but delicious. Will likely head back when in the area.

Great place for a little Marisco pick me up. Excellent service and very attentive. Its a small place so you may need to wait if you want to dine in. The food was as fresh as you can get. Worth a visit.

I was definitely skeptical because ..how could a place have such great reviews???, had to taste it to believe it and it definitely lived up to it. We ordered the ay mama botana with fish and shrimp tacos on the side, everything was amazing, the mariscos were fresh and explosively full of flavor ... the tacos well I devoured them to say the least , service was A1 . Our server Sabrina was amazing made us feel very welcomed

Stopped in for lunch and felt like splurging on some seafood. The Aye Mama plate had aguachiles, callo, shrimp and pulpo. It is served with delicious sauce, chiltepin powder, avocado and tostadas. This definitely hit the spot! Place is clean and the service is great. I would definitely return.

wow - this place is so so good !! We were craving seafood and this popped up on yelp and I'm so glad we came in. Portions are solid, price is super reasonable, and the food is amazing. We got the La Pasadita for a nice mix of aguachiles, ceviche de camarón, scallops and shrimp and shrimp cocktail. Ended with a handmade choco-flan that was the perfect texture. Service was super friendly. Came at 2 pm on a Saturday and no line. Space is cute, clean and music was perfect. Can't wait to come back.

My family and I wanted to try some seafood. I looked places up to eat in LA and this place popped up on TikTok. So we decided to try it out. We got here 10 min before it opened and they were so nice to just let air in and wait until they fully opened. We wanted to try a few things so we got CEVICHE DE CAMARÓN $13.05 This tostada was my favorite. The cocktail sauce they put with it was so good! Made me wish I got a shrimp cocktail! TACOS GOBERNADOR $4.50 I really enjoyed these shrimp tacos. They had spot of shrimp in them and the flavor of the seasonings were good. TACOS DE PESCADO $4.00 My mom really enjoyed her fish taco.. it was super good! SINALOENSE $26.99 CEVICHE DE CAMARON, AGUACHILE Y CAMARON COCIDO My husband and son really loved this dish. Everything had a good flavor to it. It was all so nice and fresh. The restaurant is nice and clean. Kinda small but nice. The people working here were really nice. Answered all our questions. If I'm ever in the area again, I would definitely come back to this restaurant.

This place was great. Stopped by on a Sunday afternoon and it was pretty busy. As a matter of fact, the longer we were there the more it started to get busy. We ordered the dos plebe which let's you pick any two tostada options. We ordered the aguachile and callo de hacha. Nowhere on the menu does it say there is an additional fee for the callo. We were not told that was the case until we paid. I didn't like the hidden fees part of the meal. However, the food was good. The shrimp tacos were crispy and tasty. The callo was fresh and the aguachile had perfect spice. The place is small, clean and pretty casual.

was craving mariscos and found this place through tik tok. i'm happy to say i found my new favorite mariscos spot! ~Food~ tacos de pescado 10/10 perfectly crispy fish, love the sauce tacos gobernador 9/10 a bit salty but still delicious ceviche de camaron 10/10 perfectly flavorful ceviche de pescado 100/10 very tender fish, preferred this over the shrimp but both are delicious ~Service: friendly service ~Cost: ~$4 tacos and $12 ceviches ~Parking: limited street parking

There is no better mariscos place than this! Enough said. All seafood is tender and flavorful. I dare you find a better spot for Mariscos .

    Fish taco

I can't think of a better mariscos restaurant than this one. It went straight to the top of my list after trying it. All fish is very fresh, flavorful, and very tender. I have tried aguachiles, shrimp tacos, fish tacos, the pulpo (octopus) and nothing disappointed. I've never had tender octopus at any mariscos joint. They shared some basic preparation methods with us and it makes sense why the octopus in particular stands out from other restaurants - the go the extra mile! Be advised that it is not a huge place and sometimes there is a bit of a wait. All I can say is that the food is worth the wait. The staff is always friendly and the restaurant and restrooms are very clean looking. Parking is on the street so plan accordingly. If you enjoy fresh-tasting and flavorful seafood, do yourself a favor and frequent this restaurant. I've taken 8 different people there and they all agree with my thoughts noted in this review. It's not a bunch of hype, this is the real deal.

Another hot day, means no cooking and I want mariscos! We came back again, this time hubby had octopus tostada and I tried their shrimp cocktail, my new favorite item!!!

Out of the appetizers, the sprouts was the one that surprised me the most. The bacon and seasoning complement the baked Brussels sprouts perfectly. The calamari was whatever, I felt it was too battery for my personal liking but my friend loved it. The oysters were smaller than what I usually get from other restaurant but it still hit the spot. The entree was amazing and the jambalaya has quite a kick to it even when I ordered it at medium heat. There was plenty of shrimp, mussels, sausages, and protein in the pasta and rice dish. Parking in the plaza was atrocious because it is a busy plaza with a gym and other amazing restaurants and quick bites. Can't wait to stop by again.

Getting only six clams and four mussels for the price was disappointing. The oysters were okay, and the scallops definitely weren't worth what they charged. The Brussels sprouts were the best value of everything we ordered--they gave a generous portion and they were tasty. The service was good, but overall the food didn't justify the cost. I wouldn't come back unless someone else wanted to go and I was joining them for the company.

We started with the oyster sampler featuring selections from Hollywood, MD; Pope's Bay, VA; Buzzards Bay, MA; Chesapeake Bay, VA; and Wellfleet, MA. The oysters were exceptionally fresh and served with great accompaniments. We always order oysters when visiting seafood restaurants because freshness is so important to us, and Water Grill absolutely delivered. A must-order. The grilled Spanish octopus, served with fingerling potatoes, Niçoise olives, roasted tomato, pine nuts, and olive oil, was very good (3.5/5). We're fairly picky when it comes to octopus, and while we would have liked a bit more char, it was still among the better versions we've had. The New Zealand king salmon sushi with avocado, hazelnuts, papaya, and white soy-lime vinaigrette was fresh, clean, and delicious (5/5). While not particularly unique, it was executed perfectly. The crispy calamari with harissa aioli and cilantro-mint sweet chili sauce was also well done (4/5)--crispy, not oily, and very enjoyable. Calamari is another dish we frequently order, and this version met our standards, even if it wasn't especially memorable. The standout among the appetizers was the New Zealand pink bream ceviche with cilantro, red peppers, onions, lemon juice, and olive oil. The presentation was beautiful, and the flavors were incredibly fresh (5/5). We only added a touch of salt. This is another must-order dish. The Peruvian bay scallops with pistachio citrus pesto were somewhat underwhelming (3/5), and the Brussels sprouts with bacon and chestnuts (3/5) didn't leave much of an impression either. The lobster itself was excellent (5/5)--sweet, fresh, and perfectly prepared. The accompanying coleslaw wasn't our favorite, but we'd happily order the lobster again and probably go for a larger portion next time. The absolute star of the evening was the Massachusetts black sea bass. It was easily one of the best dishes of the night and possibly one of the best fish dishes we've ever had at a restaurant (5/5). Tender, juicy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. To top it all off, the restaurant surprised us with a complimentary birthday dessert featuring chocolate cake, vanilla cake, oatmeal cake, and ice cream. It was thoughtful, delicious, and a wonderful ending to the meal (5/5). Overall, Water Grill earns a well-deserved 5/5. The quality and freshness of the seafood were outstanding, the beachfront ambiance was beautiful, and the service was friendly and attentive throughout the evening. Definitely a must-try seafood destination in Los Angeles. Thank you to the entire team for such a memorable experience--we truly appreciated it.

We were greeted right as we entered and given menus. There were already a couple of tables already enjoying their meals. Plates, napkins, utensils came right after. Even brought plastic fork and spoon for my 7 year old. We received tea after that. We ordered white rice for 2 people (it was enough for a total of 4 people cuz we had left overs for dinner and lunch the next morning). We also got a 2.4 lb lobster cooked in butter sauce on a bed of noodles (noodles were extra charge). We ordered the walnut shrimp, kung pao chicken, and Mongolian beef. Plates came out relatively close to one a other, which made it nice. I like to have everything in front of me when I eat so I can get a bit of this and a bit of that. The lobster and noodles came out last. Everything was delicious. We loved the lobster and noodles best. So much flavor and the noodles underneath the lobster just soaked up all the buttery, salty, kick of spice flavor. As we dined, many groups came in and the restaurant was bustling. Good thing we came at the right time. We had enough left overs for a total of 4 more meals at home. Would definitely come back for more and would definitely recommend this place.
