We saw a TikTok of this place and wanted to try. I love seafood boil and a a little skeptical because this place is located right across the street from Boiling Crab. But it was definitely gives BC a run for their money. Food: 5/5 We ordered the family pack with the crab legs. It was $53.99 for one pound of shrimp, one pound of mussels, and two cluster of crab legs. It includes sausages, hard boiled eggs, and corn. We got their Cajun mix, and the flavor was really good. My only critic is that the flavor did not permeate into the shrimp. I also think the sauce was not garlicky enough. But overall, it was really good. Service: 5/5 The service here was great. I feel a little bad because the we went on a Sunday night and it was pretty dead. Since we were one of three tables, our servers were really attentive. The seafood boil also came out pretty quick. Ambiance: 5/5 This place is way better than Boiling Crab in my opinion because there's no tremendous wait. The interior is nicely decorated. And seating was spacious. One thing to look out for here is that their receipts when it adds "suggested tip", they put calculate tip after tax. I did not appreciate that.

I've been here 3 times and they always served fresh seafood. Plus, you can eat in peace. The place is not crowded. Their service is good too. Also, hands down to their shrimps! Even as to go, it stayed firm, not mushy because I tried other cajun places, if I didn't finish and take it as to go, the shrimps go bad fast.

Jumpin' Lobster was a good deal for $12.99 a lb! Came with a corn and a potato! Both were really good! Not mushy. We enjoyed the salt and pepper crab too. The place was not too busy so it was a good place to hang and catch up. Shrimp was big and fresh! Large open space and attentive service. Will definitely be back!

Get the family pack $43.99 as it's probably the best value. Also while it's the grand opening time you get corn and sausage in your family pack as part of your meal. As for service they need to up itself there. We had to constantly ask for water and soda refills which is quite annoying. If they see that a cup is low of fluids they should one around and refill it or at least check on us. The place is fairly big for many groups of eight. Great for large parties to enjoy family style food. They do have a TV and we're showing something music related. As for parking it's a fairly large parking lot so plenty of room. You get a bib, gloves, crab cracker as the crabs are not pre broken for you and scissors to get to all the nooks and crannies. Come check them out!

I'm a big fan of seafood served straight from the bag on the table, so I was excited to try this place when it opened. We were seated immediately upon arrival. The food tasted good--we ordered the prawns with lemon pepper sauce, which were flavorful, though a bit more sauce would have made the dish even better. Parking is conveniently available within the plaza.

We went on a Saturday afternoon. Plentiful parking, no wait, but a few other tables seated inside along with us. Space was decorated and clean. We ordered the shrimp and crawfish boil with mild boom sauce. Food came out hot, and the seafood was tasty and the meat bouncy and fresh. Prices are a lot more affordable than other cajun places, but I will say the sauce wasn't as good in comparison. Servers were friendly and attentive.

We were craving for the Louisiana or Cajun food for Father's Day, so we tried the new place, Jumpin' Lobster, for the first time. We went to the one in Monterey Park, and they are relatively new, just opened a few months ago. It's located at a plaza on South Atlantic Blvd. They also have other locations in Alhambra (opened about a month ago) and Huntington Park. We were surprised that it was not crowded on Father's Day, maybe because of the location. It's pretty big inside, and the decor and atmosphere are welcoming. We were greeted by the ladies when we entered the restaurant. The food is very similar to Boiling Crab, but the price is more reasonable, and we don't need to wait for hours to be seated. We ordered the following: - Lobster Roll with seasoned fries ($27.99) - A Family Pack ($43.99) that you can choose 3 items: (Shrimp, Squid, Crawfish, Clam, Mussel, Blue Crab, Fried Tilapia, Snow Crab legs ($10 extra, max 1 lb) We picked Blue Crab, Mussel, and Fried Tilapia, and it was also served with 3 corns & 3 potatoes. - Butterfly Shrimp Basket with fries ($10.99), we picked sweet potato fries (for an extra $1) We all liked the ambiance and the ocean-themed decorations, and they also have TVs that we could watch the basketball games on. They also gave each of us a cute disposable Crab bib and gloves. The lobster roll - it had a lot of lobster meat with mayo spread on the brioche bun, and the lobster was delicious, but it had too much mayo. For the seasoned fries (we picked Cajun flavored), but it was lack of the Cajun flavor, so it wasn't spicy. (But it was good for me coz I cannot eat too spicy) The portion was good, though. For the Butterfly Shrimp Basket with Sweet potato fries, they gave us a lot of fried shrimp, and they were pretty good. We liked the sweet potato fries more than the Cajun flavored fries. Blue Crab, Mussel, and Fried Tilapia Family Pack Seafood Boil - It was about 3 lbs of seafood (each item about a pound), so it was enough for us, and we chose the Garlic Butter sauce. The corn was sweet and delicious with buttery garlic! 3 Potatoes were included, but they were pretty big. I wish the potatoes were smaller because they were a bit hard to eat. I had to cut them in half. Blue Crab was also fresh and good (I don't eat crab, but my family liked it). We asked for the crab claw crackers; however, they did not have much meat. The mussels and fried tilapia were very delicious, and my girls had a lot of fried tilapia, and it was a big fish. The service was attentive and great. We enjoyed our meal, and we may try the lobster pasta and other dishes next time.

This location has been our favorite since day one but as time has passed we have noticed changes In our last 3 visits. One day we went and they brought our boil in a plate vs the bag we were wondering why but we didn't say anything. I felt like it took away the fun out of the whole bag thing. These last 2 visits we noticed they give you very little sauce almost nothing in the bag. We have to order a side of sauce which they charge you $5. The bag we usually order is the family pack so it's fairly full of whatever we pick but with very little sauce. It is very disappointing. The service is not as it was before either. It's not horrible but it's not as attentive. :(

We went in on a Saturday during lunch time and got seated right away, no wait list! Customer service was a 10/10 good music was playing, food was delicious! We got 1 pound of shrimp each with a side of rice the bill was less than $60 such good deal ! Definitely coming here agian

I've visited Jumpin Lobster a couple times, and my family LOVES it! We always try different things on the menu so here are some notable items I really enjoyed: Lobster Pasta: I was blown away by this creamy pasta with fresh lobster! They give you large pieces of lobster that are steamed to perfection. The sauce for the noodles was extraordinary! 10/10 definitely my favorite item on the menu. Garlic Bread: buttery and savory. Crispy crust with a pillowy soft center. Goes so well as a side order. 10/10 Lobster Roll: Fresh lobster in a cream sauce spread on a buttered brioche bun. It comes with fries, but I do have to admit that the fries lacked a lot of seasoning and flavor. The cream sauce coating the lobster didn't stand out to me. However, for the price, the portion was definitely worth it! 7.5/10 Shrimp, Squid, & Snow Crab Legs Family Pack Seafood Boil with Garlic Butter: Enough to feed 2-3 people! I added sausage to my bag. I wish they used smaller potatoes as it was very large and hard to eat without cutting. The sauce was very buttery and flavorful! I loved how fresh the shrimp, crab legs, and squid were. Corn was sweet and sausage was very tasty. 8/10!! BBQ & Buffalo Wings: Also a very nice side item to enjoy! You can ask for ranch on the side too! 9/10 Veggie Noodle: savory and smooth vegetable noodles for only $6.99! Huge portion and was well seasoned! Definitely a nice dish to add in the case you are still feeling hungry or need some light carbs! 10/10!! Service is always top tier and the staff are always checking in to ensure that we are satisfied with the food. There's a lot of seating inside, and the decorations are so cute (sea life themed). I also appreciate how you can watch sports on their TVs inside (especially during playoff season!). Free parking in the parking lot. Overall, really enjoyed this place! My family and I will probably visit at least once a month!

Fun local place. Service was fast and flavor was good. I recommend the peeled shrimp instead of the shell-on shrimp. The original sauce was my favorite. The garlic sauce was good for the clams. Say hi the server Mellow. What an epic night protecting the city by eating seafood.

Dang! The food here was great!! The service was unmatched, they had two young women running the show, and they had everything under control. My food came out fast, hot, and delicious, and my drink was never empty. The ambiance was seafood-themed with music videos playing (pretty sure they love The Weeknd, but who doesn't? lol). Overall, such a solid experience. I would definitely recommend this spot and will be returning!

This place was very lackluster and not worth it. Ordered their lobster roll and 1lbs of shrimp in the boom sauce. The lobster roll didn't tasted good and had a weird flavor to it. The boom sauce wasn't flavorful either. Service was okay. It was pretty empty when we arrived. They're located inside the shopping plaza across from ELAC off Atlantic Blvd.

Out of the appetizers, the sprouts was the one that surprised me the most. The bacon and seasoning complement the baked Brussels sprouts perfectly. The calamari was whatever, I felt it was too battery for my personal liking but my friend loved it. The oysters were smaller than what I usually get from other restaurant but it still hit the spot. The entree was amazing and the jambalaya has quite a kick to it even when I ordered it at medium heat. There was plenty of shrimp, mussels, sausages, and protein in the pasta and rice dish. Parking in the plaza was atrocious because it is a busy plaza with a gym and other amazing restaurants and quick bites. Can't wait to stop by again.

The environment is family-friendly, with several tables occupied by kids and families. Just be aware that the music and overall noise level are fairly loud. Service was attentive and they checked up on us regularly. We ordered 2 dozen oysters ($1.50 each), the fish and chips ($11.50), mussels and clams ($10.50), and a beer. The oysters were fresh, mostly clean, and came with the usual accompaniments. My only minor complaint is that small seafood forks would have been nice to have available. The mussels and clams were the disappointment of the meal. While the broth itself was flavorful, the portion was downright sad. We received only 4 mussels and 4 clams total, and the bowl felt almost empty. The standout was definitely the fish and chips. Dare I say the best fish and chips I've ever had? The batter was well-seasoned without being overly salty. The fish was crispy, hot, flaky, and surprisingly not too greasy. The fries were also excellent, with a crunchy exterior and fluffy, mashed potato-like interior. I would absolutely order this again. Overall, for happy hour, come for the fresh oysters and fish and chips. Skip the embarrassingly skimpy bowl of mussels and clams.

We started with the oyster sampler featuring selections from Hollywood, MD; Pope's Bay, VA; Buzzards Bay, MA; Chesapeake Bay, VA; and Wellfleet, MA. The oysters were exceptionally fresh and served with great accompaniments. We always order oysters when visiting seafood restaurants because freshness is so important to us, and Water Grill absolutely delivered. A must-order. The grilled Spanish octopus, served with fingerling potatoes, Niçoise olives, roasted tomato, pine nuts, and olive oil, was very good (3.5/5). We're fairly picky when it comes to octopus, and while we would have liked a bit more char, it was still among the better versions we've had. The New Zealand king salmon sushi with avocado, hazelnuts, papaya, and white soy-lime vinaigrette was fresh, clean, and delicious (5/5). While not particularly unique, it was executed perfectly. The crispy calamari with harissa aioli and cilantro-mint sweet chili sauce was also well done (4/5)--crispy, not oily, and very enjoyable. Calamari is another dish we frequently order, and this version met our standards, even if it wasn't especially memorable. The standout among the appetizers was the New Zealand pink bream ceviche with cilantro, red peppers, onions, lemon juice, and olive oil. The presentation was beautiful, and the flavors were incredibly fresh (5/5). We only added a touch of salt. This is another must-order dish. The Peruvian bay scallops with pistachio citrus pesto were somewhat underwhelming (3/5), and the Brussels sprouts with bacon and chestnuts (3/5) didn't leave much of an impression either. The lobster itself was excellent (5/5)--sweet, fresh, and perfectly prepared. The accompanying coleslaw wasn't our favorite, but we'd happily order the lobster again and probably go for a larger portion next time. The absolute star of the evening was the Massachusetts black sea bass. It was easily one of the best dishes of the night and possibly one of the best fish dishes we've ever had at a restaurant (5/5). Tender, juicy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. To top it all off, the restaurant surprised us with a complimentary birthday dessert featuring chocolate cake, vanilla cake, oatmeal cake, and ice cream. It was thoughtful, delicious, and a wonderful ending to the meal (5/5). Overall, Water Grill earns a well-deserved 5/5. The quality and freshness of the seafood were outstanding, the beachfront ambiance was beautiful, and the service was friendly and attentive throughout the evening. Definitely a must-try seafood destination in Los Angeles. Thank you to the entire team for such a memorable experience--we truly appreciated it.

Turns out Yelp was having a moment of brilliance. We rolled in with a full-on clan of 14 hungry young adults, and somehow everyone left happy, full, and already talking about what they'd order next time. Our table was stacked with garlic string beans, walnutshrimp, special fried rice, French beef and Lobster with pan-fried noodles. The shrimp was a crowd favorite, the noodles were loaded with flavor, and even the string beans earned plenty of compliments. My only tiny critique is that for me the walnut shrimp was a bit more breaded than I personally like, but that's a minor speed bump in an otherwise fantastic meal. Pro tip: ask them to bring the rice out first. The dishes are packed with bold, rich flavors, and having a bowl of rice ready lets you soak up every last delicious bite without feeling like you've gone ten rounds with a sodium ninja. The service was outstanding too; our servers teamed up and handled our group of 14 like pros, stayed attentive throughout the night, and never missed a beat. We separated the youngins and OGs in two close tables. We arrived about 3 hours before their 11 p.m. closing time on a busy Saturday, yet nobody made us feel rushed. It took 45 min to be seated and we stayed to closing. Er had so much fun in this VIP experience. The restaurant itself is spacious, tucked into a shopping center with plenty of parking, making it an easy choice for groups big or small. If Kim Tar can keep 14 people fed, smiling, and agreeing on dinner, that's practically a miracle. I'll definitely be back for another feast. Next time I'll have the 3 pound lobster just for me!

We were seated right away when we arrived, although it took a while before anyone came to take our order. We started with the sizzling razor clams, and honestly, they were the highlight of the meal, perfectly cooked, well seasoned, and a great start. Unfortunately, things went downhill from there. I ordered the Bun Bo Hue, and it really missed the mark. Several ingredients felt poorly prepared. The tendon was so tough it was basically inedible and had to be pushed aside. The pork blood tasted like it had been cooked separately since it had none of the broth flavor soaked into it. Even the beef slices felt out of place, almost like they had been pulled from a pho bowl and dropped into the BBH at the last minute. The broth itself lacked the richness, spice, and strong lemongrass flavor that normally makes Bun Bo Hue stand out. It just tasted flat. There was also a mix-up with our order when the wrong dish came out instead of the lobster. When the lobster finally arrived, it was badly overcooked and much smaller than what was shown on the menu. On top of that, the music was blasting the entire time, no one really checked in to see how things were going, and it took multiple attempts just to get our check. When we mentioned the food issues, the response was basically, "We'll let the chef know." Not exactly the kind of service you hope for after a disappointing meal. Really wanted to like this place, especially after such a strong start with the razor clams, but overall it ended up being a letdown.
