Combo A

One of me and my partner's new favorite restaurants in the SGV! Amazing value for how much food you get and the shellfish was so fresh and delicious. We got the combo A (cheapest one) and were stuffed. The clams and mussels had a hint of natural sweet flavor that was really brought out by one of the dipping sauces they provided (the brown one). The giant oyster was also incredible and juicy. Everything was extra delicious because of the charcoal grill. Kalguksu at the end also had a perfectly light but savory broth that we loved. Highly recommend this restaurant and will be coming back for sure!

A hidden gem in the middle of a Chinese community! This Korean restaurant may not look fancy from the outside, but don't let that fool you--the food quality is excellent. Grilling fresh clams right at the table was such a fun and delicious experience. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful. The service was also very warm and attentive, which made the whole meal even more enjoyable. If you're looking for great food over a fancy atmosphere, this place is definitely worth a visit!

The food at this place is solid! Charcoal grills. Reasonable prices. Every visit has been really satisfying. They also got red meat. Service is great. I highly recommend people check this spot out.

Arrived at 10:30 PM after a long drive from San Jose. The place was still packed, with only one open table left. We were lucky to get seated. With just two of us, we decided on Combo A. We were hesitant at first, unsure if it would be enough food, but it turned out to be more than enough. The entire experience was great. The staff didn't rush us, even though we stayed past their official closing time at 11:00 PM. One thing to note: the staff cooks the food for you, which is a nice touch. However, their English is limited, so you may need to point and repeat requests in a simple way to be understood. DONT BE AFRAID TO ASK QUESTIONS: Often, the staff would move some of the food to a different section of the grill, which I assumed meant it was ready. But when I reached to grab it, I was kindly (and quickly) waved off with hand gestures. Turns out it still needed more time. So if you're unsure, just ask! The sauces were delicious but they're not brought out automatically. We only realized they were available after seeing other tables with colorful sauces, and had to get up and point them out to the staff. PARKING: Check where you park. I parked around the corner where I had seen other customers do the same. However, I later realized it was bank parking. Even though the bank was closed, security made rounds and issued tickets -- so be cautious. Overall, the food was delicious and very filling for two people. We almost couldn't finish it. A WORD OF CAUTION: The smoke is intense. While they have fans, vents, and air purifiers, they don't do much. I was on vacation with only one jacket, and even after airing it out overnight, it smelled like charcoal for the next five days.

What a delicious seafood BBQ spot! Parking can be difficult since they don't have their own parking lot but there is street parking Service was pretty attentive and friendly Inside was very small so not much seating It was slightly loud but it was still enjoyable The menu was very limited and there are 4 combos to choose from, with Combo A being $79.99, B was $114.99, C was $139.99, and D was $174.99 Got the Combo B and it was plenty to share with me and my friend. It consisted of seafood salad, pancakes, steamed eggs, mayonnaise corn, abalone, squid, clams, mussels, shrimp, scallops, oysters, baby octopus, kalguksu, potatoes, and sweet potatoes. The seafood salad was delicious. The steamed egg was so good and oozing with hot, soft, fluffy egg! The mayonnaise corn was yummy and super sweet! The seafood were all so fresh and flavorful. The kalguksu was nothing special so I thought it was just ok. I really enjoyed that it wasn't busy so the staff was there grilling most of the food for us. Everything was so tasty and it was so much food for me and my friend! Would most likely return and recommend! A little pricey but A LOT of fresh seafood to share!

Came here to try the seafood. Ordering is really easy with the combos. We got combo c and it was good enough to feed a total of 4 of us. Everything is fresh and delicious. Staff is really friendly and they help you cook the seafood. There's a bit of light music and tv for you to enjoy as well. Pretty cool place to hang out with friends and family for a night time outing with a few drinks and good food.

Service is good. The guy came out quickly and checked on our food regularly. He had a tendency to overcook the seafood so I removed a lot off the grill before he got there. I ordered combo B for 2 of us and it was plenty of food. Lots of clams and good variety of other seafood. The sides were all very good especially the steamed egg and vegetable pancake.

Daughter takes me to here for dinner, around 7:00 pm . Seafood fresh & live cooked under charcoal fire with one nice man & friendly service , he basically grilled then letting us know when the food ready, after cut small bites as Abalone, Manila clams...for us. Also the soups taste good for us We enjoyed the food & excellent service , the restaurant was clean here. Craving seafood, come to trying here won't disappoint

Arrived around 6:30pm and was seated right away. Location was stuffy and setup was very basic. It does get crowded during peak hours due to limited seats. Great for small groups (2-4) but not party of 10+. Service was great! 1 man solo and juggling between tables. He was literally cooking for everyone, serving drinks, and cleaning up the table. Went with combo A & B. Overall, side dishes were pretty good. Korean pancake and corn cheese was definitely my favorite. Clams, shrimp, scallop, mussels, oyster, and other shellfish was cooked nicely!

The Clam house has been one of the places that has been on my bookmark page that I have been wanting to try. I came here with my friends after work on a Monday and surprisingly there was no one so we got seated right away. There was only three of us but we didn't want to over order because the food is not good to go. We ordered combo A and the boss quickly brought out the food. Good thing, the boss was there to grill the clams and seafood because we weren't sure if they were ready to eat or not. There's sauces to dip with the seafood that added flavor. The side dishes were really good as well. Overall, its a great experience if you want to try grilled clams and other seafood. It's best to come with a group because the meal comes in combo. There's plenty of parking on the street so that wasn't an issue.

Surprisingly found this korean seafood bbq place just few min from our hotel. Food is yummy. Don't forget to order hag fish.

I like seafood, but I've never been much of a clam, oyster, mussel kind of person. But my friend wanted to try this place, so I thought I would give it a chance. The restaurant itself is very small and inconspicuous. There weren't many tables, but that wasn't a problem since there wasn't a single other customer there during the entire duration of my meal. We ordered the Combo Set A, and it was just enough food for the three of us. I am glad the server helped us cook the food because I wouldn't have known what to do. There were a few sauces to dip the seafood in, which I enjoyed. Overall, the food was good but not really something I would want to come back for often. However, if you are someone who enjoys clams, this is the place for you.

This is one of the few seafood bbq places in the SGV. We order combo A and loved. We also ordered an abalone on the side. The abalone was so fresh and it was moving while serving. The place is clean and great for ppl to eat and hangout. The service was also great and the server helped grill everything.

How many people can combo b feed?

It was plenty for my husband and I, we were pushing it at the end. I would say you can squeeze three adults easy but, if you are with adults with huge appetites, I'd say 2.

Does this place take reservations?

No it does not.

Came here on high praise from several friends from NE China who grew up with BBQ like this and said…read moreit also takes inspiration from North Korean style. It also seems this is one of the few places in socal with a license to cook with charcoal indoors, which is a bit of a bummer. Place was not too busy when we went but the center it's in is a bit small and can be tough to park. The service is pretty typical for a Chinese place. I found them more attentive than average honestly and they were always available when we flagged them down which I can't say for a lot of places, so service was overall good in my opinion. Place is AYCE, two person minimum, 2 hour time limit but are generous. You can get water or hot/cold wheat tea which was good, similar to barley tea. They can change out your grill at any time and add charcoal if the fire starts to die down, which you'll want since you want to be cooking meat quick over a high heat to make the most of your time here and get the best cook on your meat. To me the standouts were the beef tongue, boneless beef shortrib, and this cold cut you don't cook that I forget the name of. The beef tongue particularly really had everything going for it. Great balance of flavor between fat and muscle, a little chew but not too much like some bad tongue has. Super thin so fast to cook and easy to eat. Everything else was good but nothing KBBQ doesn't have a better version of (looking at you marinated beef). The charcoal flavor is gonna be a unique element so take that as you will. I'm told in China every place like this has its own 'signature sauce' and I guess the one here is the sesame sauce that is quite sweet, creamy, and perfectly thin for dipping. I followed the pro here and added green onions, cilantro, vinegar, and soy sauce to taste and it helped balance out the flavors for me but I still found myself preferring to eat the meat on its own most of the time which was a bummer as dipping between sauces is a nice way to change things up as you eat the same cuts of meat for 2 hours. The shortrib is incredibly juicy and delicious. I found the steak cuts my least favorite as they were a bit tough and lacking flavor. If you pay in cash you'll get a 16oz cup of their INCREDIBLE yogurt so I highly recommend, but you also get small cups of this at the end of your meal. It has a high fresh acidity like freshly squeezed lime juice balanced with sweetness that really makes this yogurt bangarang and super addicting. So much so I bought two things to go and wish I got more! Owner was a total sweetheart too. Def a great place to hit especially for the charcoal element and world-class yogurt but otherwise my favorite KBBQ spots are still gonna be my go-to for everything else.

They were not even busy and only had four people dining there when I walked in at 2 pm and I was so hungry that I'm sure I could have ate for two and didn't mind paying for the price of two. Not sure how a restaurant stays in business with that kind of restriction. Not sure if I will come back to try with family.

They also have extra seasoning pots on the side for you which I love because I make mine extra spicy. Beef and lamb: very good umami flavors and tender pieces. Chicken: on the sweeter side with more bbq flavors. Chicken Gizard: all about the texture. Very good. Beef Tongue: I would skip this one. They cut it much thicker than most places and it was very tough to eat.
