A fun place we stumbled on by accident. There was karaoke that night and that was super fun to watch. The beers and shrimp we got was very fresh.

It used to be my go to place but now I'd rather take my business somewhere else with consistent closing times. We arrived at 7:15 mind you they close at 9:00pm according to their business hours on this particular day we were told they'd be closing at 8:00pm due to it being slow so we would have to order to go. We said ok, no problem. Then we were told we couldn't order what we wanted because it would take too long to cook and they wanted to leave by 8:00pm. So do you want the business or don't you? We walked out pictures are from the many visits we did at this place.

lEver tried a Michalada that perfectly complements fresh seafood? At Mariscos Las Islitas, every bite and sip takes you on a flavor journey! From their mouthwatering shrimp tacos to zesty ceviche, this spot is a seafood lover's paradise. And trust me, the only time I indulge in a drink is when I'm enjoying their delicious Michalada--it's simply the best!

This was a random and never forgotten spot! All of their food so far has been amazing! Our personal favorite is the Pescado ZaranDeado. We will be back again and again!

This place is niiiiiice!!!! It has a great music scene on Fridays and Saturdays. On Fridays they have karaoke with Paris. By the way Paris is this young talent in Bakersfield with an angelic voice that sings Selena songs ! On Saturday they have another girl that sings and takes requests she is pretty good too! The food is delicious! I ordered the chicken fajitas which by the way were grilled to perfection and were full of butter! I am usually not a big fan of butter but it have the chicken juicy and burst with flavor! My ultimate favorite dish here are the camarones a la diabla; the hot sauce that they pour is amazing! As for the drinks the cantarito is my go to! I believe they put freshly squeezed orange, grapefruit and limes so it's extra tasty!

In a town where Mexican restaurants abound, this place is a gem among restaurants that specialize in mariscos (sea food), Las Islitas is definitely among the top contenders. As soon as you walk in, you're greeted by the staff and told you're free to pick any seat. For me, that's a huge plus. I hate being assigned a seat in an area I might not like or care for. Once seated, the waitress brings you the menu and the customary chips and salsa. They give you time to look it over before taking your order. On this visit, I knew exactly what I wanted. My niece and I were there for the Tuesday special - the shrimp tacos. My niece ordered the regular shrimp tacos, the shrimp was bread to her liking, the tortilla was warm and tasty, the cabbage slaw was nicely cut...the one thing she didn't care for was the side of mayo used as a condiment...other than that she enjoyed it. I on the other hand ordered the crispy shrimp tacos. My shrimp was breaded to perfection, the tortillas were fried to a golden crisp....a medley of lettuce, tomato, purple onion were set on top of the tacos. It was as if you were getting a taco "salad". The food was excellent, hands down the best Taco Tuesday deal in town. If you want to experience a great meal at a Mexican seafood restaurant, do yourself a favor and venture to this east side gem.

    Something with no flavor

No flavor in the food whatsoever. La tostada que ordene no tenia nada de sabor 0% no recomiendo

Margarita... Okay, not as good as Don Perico.

The service was terribly slow, even after the place had emptied out from lunch, and she didn't bring our check. I had shrimp fajitas, and the shrimp was cooked to a rubbery rock, the veggies were over cooked and floating in some sauce- it was not real fajitas, probably the stuff in the bag that some restaurants use. My friend ordered us some of the shrimp empanadas and were okay, but greasy. My friend had the pasta which I didn't try, she said it was good. The Margarita that I had was just okay, not nearly as good as Don Perico's. Boy, sorry I sound like Debbie Downer, but not every place is for everyone and that place isn't for me.

    Fish tacos, very good

A Delicious Stop After the Farmer's Market!…read more Stopped by Mas Bella after the farmer's market and had such a great meal! We started with three drinks: the Tullum Bloom, Strawberry Margarita, and Strawberry Lemon Drop. All three were delightfully fruity and refreshing, making it hard to pick a favorite! For food, we ordered the birria bao buns, shrimp bao bun, chile relleno, crispy beef taco with refried beans and rice, and camarones with refried beans and soft tortillas. The birria bao bun was my absolute favorite! The mini bao is packed with flavorful birria, and I absolutely loved the consommé they serve alongside it for dipping. It's such a fun combination, and that consommé takes the bao to another level. I also really enjoyed that they make their salsas in-house. They served both a verde and a roasted red salsa with the buns, and both were delicious. The chile relleno was another standout. That melted, cheesy goodness inside was everything you want from a chile relleno! The crispy beef taco was an unexpected winner. It was served with what seemed to be the same delicious birria-style beef, so it was instantly a favorite. The crispy shell paired perfectly with the tender, flavorful meat. The camarones with soft tortillas were also really good. The shrimp were well seasoned, and the soft tortillas made them perfect for building little tacos.

I had been bragging to my friends about how delicious the Bao Bun Tacos were and unfortunately they were out of the bao buns. I ordered the Tulum Bloom cocktail which I had in a prior visit but was disappointed. The cocktail was not as flavorful as the first time, it was presented in a plain glass with no floating flower. The first time I had it it was so beautiful in its presentation and delicious. Sadly not this time. Dimas, our server was great, the food good, but I was so looking forward to the Bai Bun Tacos.

I couldn't really taste the difference between the Paloma and the margarita ‍. The place is decorated really nice but what they should've focused on was making agood food. I'm so glad I only ordered appetizers because had I ordered food I would've wasted so much money. Birria tacos simply taste like red beef tacos, no real authentic flavor. Shrimp skewers I was told was okay but even that had more veggies than actual shrimps. The rice wasn't cooked all the way. The presentation on nachos was excellent but the nachos were gross. No flavor in guacamole. Beans were plain beans bland af. The chicken wasn't seasoned and had an awful charbroiled taste, just awful! The salsa weren't spicy or tasty. I can only recommend this place for a good happy hour spot because prices are outrageous for drinks. Once again they should've focused on the food than the decor.

The restaurant had a quiet atmosphere even though they are located at the Valley Plaza and it was the beginning of spring break. We both ordered the same drinks and food. Both drinks and entree (it was actually a shareable plate) tasted great but the salsa that came with the chips was a bit ordinary with no spice. Another staff member brought out two more salsas and jalepenos torneados. These salsas had more bite to them.
