I highly recommend any of the seafood tacos. I got four different ones and each one was packed w flavor and they were not skimpy on the protein. They gave me three different salsas as well which were spicy and delicious. Chips and limes came w the meal. Everything you see in this picture came out to be 22$ and it was well worth it. All three of the staff members were super nice and gave me their recommendations. I'll be back Linda!

    Ya Taco de Camaron

Original mother restaurant, Olympic, call Skal Ara how do you spell that CALEDE word in Spanish tell me the words that they're saying in Spanish Walking in you can tell it's going to be good. It's a vibe you get. Or the fact that it smells amazing and you can feel it in the air when you walk in. You just know the food will be good. A friend said if I was in the area I should try crispy shell shrimp tacos at Moriscos Linda on Whittier in East LA. I thought to myself this better be really good because they're literally surrounded by authentic Mexican restaurants as far as you can see. Of course I got the crispy shrimp tacos but I also ordered the Asada burrito. Omg! Both were off the charts good. The shrimp tacos were unique, and the fact that the only thing inside the hard shell was the shrimp, so it was shrimp inside a hard shell, and then deep fried, warm and tender in the inside crisp on the outside with an avocado on top, to give it a little bit of flavor and some more moisture for the shell little salt and it comes with its own garlic pico de galleo. So good I'll be coming back again just for those. But it was the Carne Asada burrito that blew my mind. That flavor I can't even describe how spectacular it was. It was different. Compelling bit after but. It drew me in. I couldn't not eat it. like needing to listen to only the Grateful Dead after one of their concerts. If you know you know. The flavor was yes, a new experience, but somehow wonderful in an old way too. A flavor you just had tasted before. But old in its authentic flavors just comfortable like you were in someone's home. I know that this restaurant has a mother restaurant, CALEDE on Olympic. I've got to try that place for sure. The one that started this whole thing because, what authentic flavors that comes from somewhere with deep rich history. My God that was the best burrito I think I've ever had in my life. The flavors just off the charts good. It's so true. I wouldn't tell you anything less than the truth. Trust me you'll be going back again and again.

It was okay the portions were huge but the spot is really pricey. For two XL cocteles and a plate of Gobernador tacos and a tostada it came out to 85 bucks. The Coctel was okay but not great they definitely don't play stingy with the seafood. But I've been to better spots for the price.

I came here because one of my friends recommended it, I usually go to the Mariscos Choix in Downey, but since there prices went ridiculously high I had to officially find a new spot. So we ordered 2 large Aguachiles, 1 shrimp cocktail and two tacos with asada. All around everything tasted really good! The aquachiles were to die for and my wife said her cocktail was full of flavor and did not have to add anything to it to make it taste better rather then our usual spot and the tacos were enormous. Not to mention, the ladies working in there were super friendly and made sure we had all that we needed to enjoy our lunch.

We had a craving for fish tacos and ceviche. Came across this place via Yelp. Fish tacos are plentiful and delicious. You literally get two tacos in one. The flavors are perfect. The ceviche even better. Finely chopped up and the right amount of lemon and spices. Also tried their fish burrito. Only down side is they put too much rice but other than that it's a good burrito. Ordered kids fish nuggets for our child and she ate them all. I recommend giving them a try.

Out of the appetizers, the sprouts was the one that surprised me the most. The bacon and seasoning complement the baked Brussels sprouts perfectly. The calamari was whatever, I felt it was too battery for my personal liking but my friend loved it. The oysters were smaller than what I usually get from other restaurant but it still hit the spot. The entree was amazing and the jambalaya has quite a kick to it even when I ordered it at medium heat. There was plenty of shrimp, mussels, sausages, and protein in the pasta and rice dish. Parking in the plaza was atrocious because it is a busy plaza with a gym and other amazing restaurants and quick bites. Can't wait to stop by again.

The environment is family-friendly, with several tables occupied by kids and families. Just be aware that the music and overall noise level are fairly loud. Service was attentive and they checked up on us regularly. We ordered 2 dozen oysters ($1.50 each), the fish and chips ($11.50), mussels and clams ($10.50), and a beer. The oysters were fresh, mostly clean, and came with the usual accompaniments. My only minor complaint is that small seafood forks would have been nice to have available. The mussels and clams were the disappointment of the meal. While the broth itself was flavorful, the portion was downright sad. We received only 4 mussels and 4 clams total, and the bowl felt almost empty. The standout was definitely the fish and chips. Dare I say the best fish and chips I've ever had? The batter was well-seasoned without being overly salty. The fish was crispy, hot, flaky, and surprisingly not too greasy. The fries were also excellent, with a crunchy exterior and fluffy, mashed potato-like interior. I would absolutely order this again. Overall, for happy hour, come for the fresh oysters and fish and chips. Skip the embarrassingly skimpy bowl of mussels and clams.

We started with the oyster sampler featuring selections from Hollywood, MD; Pope's Bay, VA; Buzzards Bay, MA; Chesapeake Bay, VA; and Wellfleet, MA. The oysters were exceptionally fresh and served with great accompaniments. We always order oysters when visiting seafood restaurants because freshness is so important to us, and Water Grill absolutely delivered. A must-order. The grilled Spanish octopus, served with fingerling potatoes, Niçoise olives, roasted tomato, pine nuts, and olive oil, was very good (3.5/5). We're fairly picky when it comes to octopus, and while we would have liked a bit more char, it was still among the better versions we've had. The New Zealand king salmon sushi with avocado, hazelnuts, papaya, and white soy-lime vinaigrette was fresh, clean, and delicious (5/5). While not particularly unique, it was executed perfectly. The crispy calamari with harissa aioli and cilantro-mint sweet chili sauce was also well done (4/5)--crispy, not oily, and very enjoyable. Calamari is another dish we frequently order, and this version met our standards, even if it wasn't especially memorable. The standout among the appetizers was the New Zealand pink bream ceviche with cilantro, red peppers, onions, lemon juice, and olive oil. The presentation was beautiful, and the flavors were incredibly fresh (5/5). We only added a touch of salt. This is another must-order dish. The Peruvian bay scallops with pistachio citrus pesto were somewhat underwhelming (3/5), and the Brussels sprouts with bacon and chestnuts (3/5) didn't leave much of an impression either. The lobster itself was excellent (5/5)--sweet, fresh, and perfectly prepared. The accompanying coleslaw wasn't our favorite, but we'd happily order the lobster again and probably go for a larger portion next time. The absolute star of the evening was the Massachusetts black sea bass. It was easily one of the best dishes of the night and possibly one of the best fish dishes we've ever had at a restaurant (5/5). Tender, juicy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. To top it all off, the restaurant surprised us with a complimentary birthday dessert featuring chocolate cake, vanilla cake, oatmeal cake, and ice cream. It was thoughtful, delicious, and a wonderful ending to the meal (5/5). Overall, Water Grill earns a well-deserved 5/5. The quality and freshness of the seafood were outstanding, the beachfront ambiance was beautiful, and the service was friendly and attentive throughout the evening. Definitely a must-try seafood destination in Los Angeles. Thank you to the entire team for such a memorable experience--we truly appreciated it.

Ordered several entrées, mostly sea food. Everything was cooked fresh and tasted great. My girlfriend specifically wanted me and her son to have the live spot prawns so she ordered 2 pounds for the table. They were good sized and we watched them being netted out of the tank. It doesn't get any fresher than that. Service wasn't fantastic, we had to wave down a server every time we needed something, like ordering drinks, our food, to go containers, and our check. That being said we certainly weren't bothered by a wait staff that constantly hovered making us feel rushed so while they could have been more attentive, it was still better than being overbearing. The restaurant is loud, no acoustic ceiling, walls are all either glass or mirrors and the flooring is hard, not carpet. Not unusual for a Chinese restaurant, but something to be aware of. I was a little surprised that there was a table with a Hispanic family dining there while we were eating. Normally I am the only non Asian at more traditional Asian restaurants. So that was, to me at least, unusual. Id return.
