Had this about a month ago, but had forgotten to leave a review. Got the platter, feeds 4-5 people... or three in my husband, myself, and a cousin's case haha! Way over priced in my opinion. Wasn't as flavorful. No lime taste at all, but we did get a few wedges which were kind of dry. Their sauce was pretty good. Gave the mariscos some flavor. A bit sneaky though. Doesn't taste as spicy, but as you keep eating, your mocos will start to drip. I'm not delicada, unfortunately for me, it was the lack of taste that just didn't cut it.

$80 for imitation crab meat, and sweet fishy water. Definitely first and last time coming here.

All the imitation crab that was in the botana, there was more but we had already eaten some.

So on a hot day some good mariscos and a beer are called for, so I figured to give this place a try since every time I pass it's packed. I ordered a tray of botana mixta, tray was nice and heavy, so I was excited!! But was definitely disappointed once I got home and opened it and dug in. Even after I was told it did contain imitation crab, I said eh let's still give it try, not thinking it was going to be overly stacked with it. The tray was $80 for "mixta", let alone this thing tasted like sweet fishy water with some spice. This will definitely be the FIRST and LAST time I go to this place.

I'm gonna make it very simple. I'm not a seafood type of guy. But when I do want seafood,, This is the place for me.. Always fresh!!! And just simply delicious And since they open the restaurant. I find my self eating more seafood.

This food truck was really great. I honestly always think twice about eating Mariscos off of a food truck but honestly this place was delicious. The aguachilies tostadas was so delicious. My mouth was on fire and my fiancé couldn't stop sweating. But we couldn't stop eating them. We also got the fish tacos, they were very good. Probably one of the best fish tacos I have had recently. I do wish this place had a cleaner sitting area but it was definitely nice that the outdoor area was even an option as this was a food truck. Parking was tight but luckily the liquor store next door let us park in their reserved spots. The usual girl who makes the BYOB michiladas wasnt there yesterday so that was a bummer, and also they were out of the fried tacos and I heard are amazing so sucked that I wasn't able to try them!!

Now when you pull up originally you might think, "am I in the right place" but once you park and get into the courtyard, it is LOVELY! Amazing ambience! There is a bocce set up, string lights. It is a little slice of oasis in the middle of the fashion district. The restaurant itself - beautiful. I couldn't ask for more. Absolutely perfect in my book. Beautiful plants hanging, perfect Spanish music in the background (any place playing Natalia LaFourcade is a win). The drinks were great! I had the jungle bird which was fun. Food was so good too. The whipped beans are the star! We had the guacamole which was tasty, great tostadas with it. The arepas were good but the pork belly was a little too fatty (I know pork belly is always fatty) to the point the fat muted the flavored for the arepa a bit, but still delicious. The empanadas were great and as someone who lived in South America and ate empanadas every day, these really took me back to my Paraguay days. The squash blossoms were light and perfectly fried. Unfortunately my friends had gone to Funke the night before so they were comparing the squash blossoms and Funke won out, but they still liked Dama's! Small plates were enough for the 3 of us. The service was quick and attentive. Parking was easy for us. I will definitely be back!

The staff are lovely humans who really seem to care about their customers. We have some faves on the menu. The bean dip is fabulous and I'm addicted to the baby gem salad. They have recently amped up the filling in the delicious crispy squash blossoms and I love the acidity and heat. The fish is also a hit in my books. One dish that doesn't work for me is the lamb chops, which is a shame since it's my favorite protein. I've ordered them multiple times with clear instructions on temperature and have found them overcooked and tough. The beef tostada was just ok. Whilst I loved the pickled veg on the side, the beef was underseasoned. It wasn't bad - just not up to the standard of other dishes. The vibe in the place is welcoming and the restaurant is nicely appointed. We will continue to be regulars and it's really worth trying if you haven't been yet.

Located between Koreatown and Pico-Union, this restaurant delivers an outstanding dining experience from the moment you're seated. My wife and I both ordered the Mole Coloradito with chicken, and it was absolutely delicious. One detail we really appreciated was being able to choose between white meat or dark meat--a thoughtful touch that lets you customize your meal to your preference. The mole was rich, complex, and full of flavor, exactly what you would hope for from a restaurant known for its Oaxacan specialties. As a welcome appetizer, they bring fresh chips and salsa to the table, but what really impressed us was when they replaced the salsa with their incredible mole sauce. It was so good we found ourselves dipping everything into it. Both meals were served with rice that was perfectly cooked with a great consistency and flavor. For those feeling adventurous, give the Chapulines (grasshoppers) a try. They may sound intimidating, but they were surprisingly enjoyable and added to the authentic experience. The staff was exceptionally friendly, attentive, and patient with those of us who are not fluent in Spanish. Their hospitality made us feel comfortable and welcomed throughout our visit. Great food, authentic flavors, and wonderful service make Guelaguetza a restaurant we'll definitely be returning to. Highly recommended!

As soon as you walk up the stairwell you'll be transported into this super cute place with an outdoor-indoor feel, almost like an elegant treehouse. We were seated on the second level which provided a Birds Eye view of the restaurant. We ordered a few items to share: Cameron ceviche, flautas and for our sweet tooth, French toast paired with a mango sorbet surprise with a candle for our birthdays (tip: we drizzled the melted sorbet on our French toast and took small scoops with each bite - game changer!). Everything was so delicious! We also ordered mocktails, a miche-nada for him and a lemony drink for me. This experience wouldn't have been as great without the exceptional service we had. Our waters were always refilled without asking, our tables were cleaned with every dish, honestly top-notch service! I'm sure they have their reasons, but I was pretty disheartened to see it go. Overall, the menu doesn't have a ton of vegan items, but they do have some room for adjustments if you ask.
