They should change their hours if they're going to close early. Came today before they closed, drove a bit out of my way and they said they already shut down and counted their registers. Came last Friday for some fish tacos. We beat the dinner rush. They were pretty busy but went quickly. The cocktails took longer than the ceviche and shrimp burrito. I took a bite of son's shrimp burrito not knowing what to expect and I was surprisingly shocked that it was quite good. The shrimp were fried the rice was a white he got with no beans. I've gone to the El Monte store, where I learned about $1 Taco Tue. I saw this one closer to home & checked their website (pictured). We went early to beat the rush, only to be told that they don't have $1 fish tacos. Rather, it's 2 fish tacos for $3.24 (regular price for 1 fish taco). I referred to the website, but the cashier only shook her head. Perhaps it's because we're not Hispanic-looking & she thought we could afford more. The only downside was that the shrimp was so heavily battered and the size of the shrimps themselves are pretty small. I also got to try the ceviche which was refreshing after eating the burrito. Been coming here for Taco Tuesday for as long as I can remember. Tacos Ensenada is tasty, quick, and a great value. As of late 2022, Taco Tuesday has $1.25/each fish tacos and they are amazing. The fish is crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside. They also come with cabbage, salsa, and some sort of sour cream (it's a bit lighter than other places). In addition, they have a bar on the side where you can get your own pickled onions, peppers, and limes. I would definitely recommend coming here if you get the chance. I can't speak too much about the other items but you gotta get the fish tacos for sure. Everything came out to just over $22. They are served with shredded cabbage, pico de gallo and some tasty crema. Do be warned that they put some sort of hot sauce on the fish.
