Teppan Udon Noodles - I don't usually order noodles when I'm having sushi, but this dish came highly recommended by our friend. After the 1st bite we saw why. The sauce is insanely savory, a bit thick but paired so well with the dense udon noodle. If you like noodles definitely fit this one in. Negi Toro Roll - Is a stand up throw your glasses across the room good. I hate how much I loved it bc I know I'll crave it. It's not a heavy roll in fact it's so light you'll believe you can probably eat 2 or 3 more..I was told no bc I already ordered enough dishes..I did get full after scarfing eveything..but I still wanted more! The restaurant appeared to be a true mom-and-pop operation, staffed by one cook, one kitchen helper, and a waitress who also greeted and seated guests. The waitress was friendly, attentive, and provided prompt service. We were quickly seated, given water, and handed menus. The décor is simple and unpretentious, creating a casual neighborhood feel. We ordered two Seafood Combo Pan Roasts, Linguine with Clams, a half dozen raw oysters, and an extra order of rice to soak up the pan roast sauce. The Seafood Pan Roast was disappointing. Instead of the rich, seafood creamy savory that makes this dish so satisfying, it leaned heavily on tomato sauce. The consistency was quite soupy, with only small pieces of seafood scattered throughout. The Linguine with Clams had a strong briny flavor but lacked the garlic, butter, and savory seasoning we were expecting. There was also very little clam meat, making the dish feel underwhelming. Overall, the service was warm and welcoming, but unfortunately the food didn't quite live up to our expectations.
