Juan M.

First and foremost, ANY establishment that is HONEST and TRUSTWORTHY will FOREVER have my business! Went last night (10/25/25) at about 8 pm and got seated immediately. The Mrs. had to use the restroom and waitress came twice before she finally came back to the table. Immediately realizing that she might be being a little too aggressive, the waitress quickly and kindly pointed to a button on the wall and informed us to hit it when we were ready to order. When we were ready, we ordered a machaca plate with beans, avocado and cheese, and a grilled shrimp and octopus plate with beans and rice, The machaca was outstanding and was EXACTLY what I was looking for ever since my nephew in Rosarito made us the exact same type of machaca for breakfast one time. Here in California, most people would recognize machaca when it's made scrambled with eggs and in a breakfast burrito. In this variation, the machaca is a little bit more on the moister side of the spectrum and is shredded, kind of like pulled pork, whereas the machaca in the plate I ate is a lot more drier (not in a bad way) if that is the right word to use, and this type of machaca was sautéed with onion , red/green bell pepper, and is probably tomato? The other day, I tried finding it at a local Mexican meat market describing it the same way and I was told that it was called "cecina" and is dried kind of like beef jerky. If someone could please correct me and/or educate me on this subject matter, it would be greatly appreciated! Either way, I'm glad I found what I was looking for, without actually looking for it. As far as the octopus and shrimp plate goes, both were well seasoned, the octopus was tender, and grilled to perfection, and even reheated well the next day, and didn't become rubbery or chewy. Getting back to the part where I mentioned honesty and trustworthiness, early this morning I was shopping and could not find my debit card and realize that I might have left it at the restaurant. After checking my wallet, I discovered that it was missing so I decided to call the restaurant to see if they had it. They did! For my own "warm and fuzzy" I checked my account balance and recent transactions and confirmed that no "funny business" had occurred with my card. Because of this, I will FOREVER be a fan of this restaurant, comforted in the fact that they do not steal from their customers, and I will continue to patronize this establishment any time we're back in Vegas again. To sum up my experience, all I have to say is that any restaurant that uses Manteca (lard) instead of oil to refry their beans and uses the chicken stock from any chicken they've boiled to cook their rice with has a special place in my heart, and instead of letting this review go on and on, I will let the pictures speak for themselves.

This place is sooo good and menu is unique! Never seen mexican sushi before! I didn't try it yet but i'll definitely be back to try it. I got the fajitas and the portion was HUGE definitely could be shared between 2 maybe even 3 people. Service was decently fast and they even have a button at the table you can press to call them over. The parking is kinda small because it's on a corner but overall loved this place!

Mariscos

Amazing food finger liking food the freash salsa, chips and beans. Coming from San Diego and being picky foodie.. This joint is approved and certified takes me back when I travel Mexico and the service nothing but love from Madely, Rosalba y madelys gracias por todo. Hangover approved:) the live music wakes up the soul:)

Super super bad service. As we walked in the first words out of the servers mouth was you have 10 minutes because the kitchen closes and it was 8:30pm and restaurant closes at 10pm according to Google. Everytime server Madelys would come to our table she would repeat "We close at 9pm". As we were eating they were cleaning the floors with "Fabuloso" which is something a restaurant should never be cleaning there floor with. I would have called the Health Department on the fly. Part of my party could not eat at all because the smell was so strong that they got sick and had to leave. Food was cold and im assuming because they wanted to close the kitchen already. Also new customers came in and both servers made faces and walked up to the door and told them that they were about to close and sat the customers and then cuatomers got up because they didnt like the fact that they told them again when being sat that they close at 9pm . As a restaurant manager this has been the Worst experience ever.

Ceviche de Camaron and Chicharron en Salsa Gordita

I tried chicharron en salsa gordita for the first time, and it was salty! Then I had ceviche de camaron which was pretty good. For my drink, I had sangria preparada, and it was good. Service was great.

excelente servicio por parte de la mesera gloria y Hugo del la barra muy buen servicio excelente. Comida y bebidas

We waited in line for almost 2 hours, but somehow it didn't even matter once we got inside. The second we sat down, our food came out in what felt like 2 seconds. Everything was hot, fresh, and seriously delicious. Every bite lived up to the hype. The chefs kept everyone entertained, cracking jokes and making the whole experience fun while they cooked. You can tell they love what they do, and it really adds to the vibe. The wait is definitely long, but now I understand why. Great food, great service, and an overall unforgettable experience. I'd happily stand in that line all over again!

We decided to try it for two reasons: we wanted to avoid the long wait at Palace Station Oyster Bar, and our 14-year-old was excited to try pan roast for the first time and loves raw oysters. When we arrived, the restaurant was nearly empty, with only one couple seated by the window. We didn't let that discourage us from giving it a try. The restaurant appeared to be a true mom-and-pop operation, staffed by one cook, one kitchen helper, and a waitress who also greeted and seated guests. The waitress was friendly, attentive, and provided prompt service. We were quickly seated, given water, and handed menus. The décor is simple and unpretentious, creating a casual neighborhood feel. We ordered two Seafood Combo Pan Roasts, Linguine with Clams, a half dozen raw oysters, and an extra order of rice to soak up the pan roast sauce. The Seafood Pan Roast was disappointing. Instead of the rich, seafood creamy savory that makes this dish so satisfying, it leaned heavily on tomato sauce. The consistency was quite soupy, with only small pieces of seafood scattered throughout. The Linguine with Clams had a strong briny flavor but lacked the garlic, butter, and savory seasoning we were expecting. There was also very little clam meat, making the dish feel underwhelming. Overall, the service was warm and welcoming, but unfortunately the food didn't quite live up to our expectations. Based on the many positive reviews, I have a feeling we may have visited on an off day. We truly appreciated the attentive service and the convenience of easy parking, so we'd be open to giving PK Oyster Bar another try in the future.

The kind you remember from Fisherman's Wharf -- thick, creamy, loaded with clams, and served in a sourdough bread bowl that starts soaking up flavor the second it hits the table. And honestly, San Francisco Bay Restaurant delivered exactly that. The chowder came out steaming hot with a rich, buttery texture that actually tasted like clams instead of just heavy cream. A male server took our order without using a notepad or pen. I've had servers do that before, and 99% of the time they've remembered everything without any issues. We ordered the crab cakes as an appetizer, the Seven Seas Chowder, and the New York strip steak. There was a bit of a wait, even though it was just my husband and me, and the only other table was a family of five who had already been served. After about 20-25 minutes, our food finally arrived but only the chowder and steak. No crab cakes. I asked if we were supposed to get the crab cakes first since they were the appetizer. Our server looked completely shocked and realized he had forgotten to put the order in. He apologized, and we told him it was okay because, at that point, we already had our entrées and weren't about to wait even longer for an appetizer. After that, he came back once to ask if we were good he never came back after.. no refill check.. none As for the food, it was decent. If you're someone who enjoys a good steak, you'll probably understand what I mean. The steak was well seasoned and had good flavor, but it was clearly a lower quality cut. There was a lot of fat, and it was pretty chewy. The seasoning helped make up for it, but only to a certain extent. The Seven Seas Chowder was actually very good. It was flavorful and packed with seafood, so that ended up being my favorite part of the meal. The bill came to a little over $71. I still left a 16% tip because I felt that was fair, although I normally tip 20%. Looking back, I honestly regret even leaving 16% because the service really wasn't it. Would I come back? I'm honestly not sure. If I do, I just hope I don't get the same server! or at the very least, I hope he starts carrying a notepad and pen to make sure orders don't get forgotten.

Space in clean and bright. Service was fast, even though every table was taken and several bar seats, with to go orders coming in too. We went on our way to a show at the Smith center and will definitely be back next time we have a show! Now let's talk about the food. We ordered 2 tacos and the ceviche sampler. Out the door it was $50-55 after tax and tip. The tacos were DELICIOUS. We ate them so quickly that we didn't even get a picture. They came out hot and gooey but didn't fall apart. The flavors were remarkable. The ceviche was next level. There were 3 different vibes. 1) a traditional ceviche flavor with citrus and a bit of a bite. 2) a cocktail sauce sort of flavor that was light and refreshing and a nice counter part to the sharpness of the traditional. 3) a sesame oil type flavor that was also light and refreshing but with a deeper toasty flavor to it. We argued over which one was the best, not with each other, but with ourselves! Because every time we took a bite of a different one we were sure THAT was the best one... Until we took another bite of the one next to it. I appreciate that the amount of chips was perfect for the ceviche, not feeling like we had leftover of ceviche or chips and had to eat disproportionate amounts of one or the other for any bites. There were two of us, and we were both very hungry. We finished off all food, and we walked away exactly and perfectly full and SLIGHTLY stuffed (we didn't feel sick but might have if we had eaten a couple more bites). Our only problem that we have been arguing over is when we go back, do we get the same items because we loved them so so so much? Or do we try something new?

Our entrees consisted of the Seafood Platter (lobster, prawns, scallops), and the Seafood Chopped Salad (prawns and romaine). My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed both. The seafood in both dishes were perfectly grilled and succulent. I added Joe's cole slaw with my entree. It turned out to be a nice addition. Dean, our server, talk us into dessert. For the uninitiated, desserts at Joe's are huge. So we opted for half slices of banana cream pie and key lime pie to go. Yes, we will be back!
