was genuinely excited to try this place after finding what I thought would be a great new mariscos spot, but it was a huge disappointment. The customer service was terrible from the moment I arrived. My food was extremely salty, but I wasn't even planning on complaining about that. What really ruined the experience was at the end of the meal. I asked for water, and they brought bottled water without mentioning there would be a charge because their tap water apparently wasn't working. The bottles were never opened or touched. When I politely asked if they could remove them from the bill, I was told it was "already in the system" and was met with nothing but attitude. I've been to plenty of restaurants that would have corrected such a small mistake without making it an issue. Customers shouldn't be charged for bottled water unless they're told upfront that it's not complimentary. The lack of communication and poor customer service were unacceptable. Between the overpriced food, the overly salty meal, and the way this situation was handled, I definitely won't be returning or recommending this place. read more

Hidden gem. The tacos are huge here. My favorites were the shrimp taco, they dont skimp out on the portions as well. I also tried the fajitas here, my favorite meat was probably the beef. I do wish they gave a little more meat though. They offer complimentary chips and salsa, and the salsa is the best i've had in this area. It was perfectly salted with the right amount of spice. The food was salty and service here was horrible. First the waitress got my order wrong and she was very rude. I asked for 3 shrimp tacos and got fish tacos. There's a big sign outside the restaurant and little signs by the booths / tables saying buy any 3 tacos get them for $2.75 on Wednesdays. When we got the bill I was charged full price. When I asked about the tacos being $2.75 since today is Wednesday the waitress said that's for fish and that's on Tuesday's. I pointed to the sign to show her it says any tacos and she said no there full price. The signs are wrong. I told her they were false advertising. I contacted the restaurant and spoke with Steven, who advised me to return with the food for a refund. After packing up the food, I returned, and Steven claimed that the food had already been eaten. While it may have had a few bites missing, we tasted it to assess its quality. Immediately, we noticed that something was wrong; the food had an off taste, and several items were undercooked. The shrimp was soggy, the mojarra was raw, and the beans served with the shrimp Diabla appeared watery and stale. I have documented everything on video. During our interaction, Steven was unprofessional, accusing me of being drunk and aggressive, which I was not. He initially instructed me to bring back the food for a refund but later claimed he was not authorized to issue one. I will not be dining here again and will advise others against it. Any neighborhood where I seem to keep on finding some gems, I would add this to the list. Doesn't look like much from the outside, but you walk in and it's a pretty large, nautical themed mariscos restaurant. The folks here were super friendly. I came in, got seated right away and was given some chips and salsa while looking over the menu. The salsa has a nice kick to it and was tasty. I don't think I've ever had it, so I ordered the aguachile verde. Super fresh shrimp and really fresh ingredients. The sauce was spicy. Prob right at my personal threshold. I really loved the citrusy acidity of the sauce, which was balanced by the earthiness of the red onion. Just a really delicious fresh dish. I thought the prices were reasonable especially for what I got. Definitely recommend this place and I would love to come back and try some of the other items on the menu. Camarones Costa Azul Plate - Bacon wrapped shrimp stuffed with cheese and imitation crab. The bacon was crispy and the overall plate was good. I enjoyed the corn mixed rice. Came with a side of green salad. Couldn't leave without trying at least one taco. Ordered the shrimp taco, it was average. Overall, good experience here.
