Mark & Toni's delivers a legit and excellent take on the classic New York pizza slice - elevated significantly with their coal fired oven. If you order a whole pizza the selection of toppings is comprehensive. But it's their authentic Greek-inspired sandwich and kabob selections that are absolutely off the hook! The house dressing is killer and I love using it to dip the souvlaki or other sandwiches. It's a wonderful local spot for Belmont. My quest for great takeout pizza on a Sunday finally brings me back to the old Brothers Pizza now Mark & Tony's. I had brothers once years ago, barely remember it. Sunday is tough to find good pizza around Watertown with pretty much all the local pizza joints closed. I heard good things so I was eager to try it out. They have a great website and online ordering which is always a plus. I see other reviews complaining about delivery. Quit being lazy and go pick it up. Ordered a small greek salad and a small cheese pie. It was ready within 15/20 minutes. Walked in they have a nice little bar/wine area and a clean and modern decor. Young girl working was friendly and having prepaid she handed me my order and I raced out on home. Salad was fresh w a good greek dressing. May have to try their grilled chicken greek salad next time. The main event was the pizza and it did not disappoint. It was fresh and hot and did the trick. Leftovers stood no chance with a small pie. Big fan of their thin style crust and sauce was perfect. I was also suggested from a friend to try their buffalo chicken pizza... I'll be back. read more

Ordered our pizza, toasted grinder and salad at 4:17 pm tonight. Food was delivered at 5:14 pm. Pizza was not even luke warm. Toasted sub cold also. When my husband called the restaurant, they were not even apologetic! They said the pizza had just come out of the oven.(not!) Then they proceed to tell him the delivery driver did not come in until 5:00pm. If that was the case, they should have informed my husband when he placed our order. They just lost a repeat customer of several years, not because of the cold pizza, but how they handled the complaint. They make delicious food, but the customer service overrides that!!! Call me Karen all you like, but I hate bad customer service: Brought a coupon (through AARP, not an unauthorized source) to Mark & Toni's Coal Fired Pizza. They said they don't honor those coupons/never saw them before/that 25% off "would put them out of business". Owner handed us coupons from their menu...but would not honor it. Great place to get pizza by the slice. The pizza pieces are huge, they seem like they are cut as two slices into one. The crust is thin and crispy and the contents are delicious. The salads are also big and delicious! Believe it or not, a couple of months ago I would of given this place one star. The pizza quality has seemed to have gotten much better. I was looking forward to trying Mark & Toni's pizza and kabobs as I live nearby and love to try local places. Unfortunately, this is my first and last stop at Mark & Toni's. The pizza was okay. It tasted like I would expect. It was a very basic pie with sausage, onions, mushrooms and pepperoni. The thin crust was completely saturated with sauce and grease such that the middle of the pizza could not remain intact when pulling the slices apart. I would not recomment take out of this pizza. I also ordered kabobs. They came with sweet potato fries, which I thought would be wonderful. Sadly, the way that they packaged it up, they put the fries at the bottom of the plastic dish and put the chicken on top of them. Then it was sealed up tight. As you can imagine, the fries were a soggy mess. What's worse, the chicken kabobs were dry and bland. I would give this place a hard pass. Try the Farm Grill in Newton as a much better alternative for Kabobs. There are also many other nice pizza places in the area. Even Bertuccis would be a better choice for the pizza. read more

I ordered a lamb Gyro today and I couldn't chew any of the lamb it was all unchewable. The owner kept saying that lamb was expensive. I eat lamb regularly and this lamb was awful. I ask him to give us the bill without the lamb Gyro and he still put the lamb Gyro on our bill knowing that my plate was full of inedible fatty lamb. I haven't visited mark and Toni's ever since they changed names from the Belmont famous, "Brothers Pizza" and I wish I had sooner. I decided to try them on a limb when I wanted a margarita pizza but the pizza store closest to my house sold theirs for $19 unlike the $14 at M&T's. 2 minutes more of driving for $5 less spent, I'm there. ( we live 10min away) after 30 min I called again to check on our order and was told " we were misinformed last time we called, but the girl speaking to us saw our order go out herself and would be there any minute" so you can imagine our surprise when another 30 min went by and we still had no delivery. We live near M&T's so we were glad when they re branded from Brothers. The coal fired oven produces crisp and slightly charred pizza as any good Neapolitan pizza place should. At first we thought their wings were a little weird, but marinating them in olive oil and rosemary and then quick cooking in the oven with onions produces a succulent, tender, and delicious appetizer and their kicked up version adds some heat. We also have ordered their large Greek salad - another hit! This is the only pizza place in Belmont that my better half accepts! read more
