If I could give zero stars, I would. This company was sent to my grandmother's house yesterday by…read moreher insurance company to fix a leak. While the technician was there, the shower, sink, and toilet stopped working. He informed my grandmother that it would cost an additional $2,700 to fix the issue. Something about the situation and the cost didn't seem right, so I went to check the work. I found that he had installed a poorly done 2-foot lineset and left the bathroom plumbing nonfunctional. Today, we got a second opinion and discovered that he severed the water line to the bathroom. He refused to refund my grandmother and instead wanted to charge her more to fix his mistake. This company is blatantly taking advantage of the elderly and refuses to take responsibility for their errors. When I informed the technician that I no longer wanted him on the property due to his untrustworthiness, he became upset and extremely unprofessional. If this company does not make things right, we will escalate this matter to the Contractors State Licensing Board and pursue legal action. We now face a $5,000 bill from a secondary company to repair the damage caused by their incompetence. I will update this review with installation images as evidence. Stay far away from this company.

UPDATE FOLLOWING THE OWNER'S RESPONSE:…read more I originally contacted Aloha because of an HVAC water leak. Their technician inspected the system, performed work, leveled the unit, and told me it was okay to continue running the AC. I relied on that professional advice and paid for the service that day because I trusted that the issue had been properly addressed. I want to clarify something important regarding the owner's response. Before the unit was leveled, the leak was occurring in a different area of the home, near a recessed light. The bedroom ceiling was NOT the original location of the leak. After the unit was leveled and I continued running the AC as instructed, the water intrusion shifted into the bedroom ceiling near the fan, resulting in significantly more damage, including cracking, separation, bubbling, and damaged drywall. I have photos documenting the original area as well as the subsequent bedroom damage. The owner's response mentions that I paid the invoice the day of service. That is correct. I paid because I trusted the technician's professional opinion and believed the work had been completed correctly. I don't understand how paying for the service that day means a problem could not have become apparent afterward. I contacted the company after the damage occurred. The owner personally came to my home and saw the ceiling damage himself. We discussed the situation while he was at the property. I expected that visit to lead to some type of reasonable resolution. I also want to clarify that I am not disputing the age of my HVAC system or that replacement may have been discussed. My complaint is about what occurred during and after this particular service: the leak was originally in one location, the unit was leveled, I was told it was safe to continue running the AC, and afterward the water intrusion appeared in a different area and caused substantially more damage. This was never about my ability to pay $285. I have used and paid this company for previous work without a problem. My concern was the principle of being asked to pay without the resulting damage being adequately addressed. Instead, I received a Final Demand for Payment and Notice of Intent to Pursue Legal Action stating that the company may pursue the matter in California Small Claims Court if the $285 is not paid by September 15. I will pay the $285, but receiving a legal demand while the damage remained unresolved completely changed my opinion of the company. I am extremely disappointed with how this situation was handled. A company can provide good service in the past and still lose a repeat customer based on how it responds when a problem arises. I stand by my review and have photographs and documentation showing the areas involved and the sequence of events. After this experience, I will not use Aloha Plumbing Heating & Air again and cannot recommend them to others. I am sharing my experience so other homeowners can make their own informed decision.
