I'd love to give this restaurant 5 stars for the views and restaurant styling, absolutely beautiful design and spot!! Unfortunately my celebration wasn't up to par, it was a rainy day so the glass doors were closed, and for a Sat at 4:30 the restaurant was packed. This restaurant is loud with the doors closed, we basically had to yell to talk over the table, definitely needs sound acoustics panels installed asap.. It comes off as a nice fancy place, but as loud as a nightclub. The sound quality was our number 1 complaint of our experience. My mom got a chicken ceaser salad the chicken was so thing it was overcooked, had a hard time cutting it, super dry unfortunately. It was also served on a side dish (small portion), she had to ask for a larger plate so she could actually try and cut the chicken. You really can't mess up a chicken Caesar salad, but this was the biggest let down of the night. The restaurant needs a larger breast, or it needs to come sliced by the chef . I got a burger it was fine. Nothing special for the price. My husband got a burger and wasn't med well like he asked for, it was med rare. Kids got chicken tenders, which were weird looking, looked like crab Rangoons. Which kids don't want weird looking food, they like normal chicken tenders, lol unfortunately my son didn't like and all the fries were cold. We also had an appetizer of mussels those were in a delicious sauce, but the toast for dipping was burnt, and the mussel meat was so tiny! For dessert we had a crème brûlée are birthday tradition, the top layer was cold, it's better served warm. But was fine otherwise. We were served bread dishes with our roll up napkins and never received any bread??? We thought that as weird. We ordered a bottle of wine and or server should be trained better on how to open as my mom had to help her open the bottle. Also our used forks were on our bread dishes, and waitress took 1/2 the party dishes and put our used forks on the dirty table. That's a no, no. All these problems I'm sure will be eventually worked themselves out. I'm sure if they switch that thin chicken out, on the salad as nobody's gonna want super thin dry chicken. The place needs a bit more training for waitstaff, and the kitchen must do better! Especially for a upscale place, As us locals are rooting for this place to do so well. So far the food didn't impress me, but the View, the building and the decor was all done so beautifully. I do know I'll be back as being so close to home, I wouldn't rule them out just yet! as I think the food kinks will get worked out in the end hopefully! I'm only posting a review so it will help make needed fixes to exceed!! read more

Fried bread & butter pickles: why doesn't everyone do this?? Absolutely delicious Gnocchi- wow! There's a heat that creeps up & surprises, but it's not overwhelming or unnecessary. It's very good Lobster - I mean Lobstah roll - was amazing. Huge chunks of lobster in a sandwich that doesn't hide the taste of the lobster. Clarissa was absolutely fabulous. By far - the best bartender / waitress I have ever had. Is that too much? Not for me. She made us great drinks, talked but not too much, was attentive & friendly. Couldn't ask for more. When my friend asked if he could sub out the Chicken Salad for plain chicken the waiter replied saying "no we can't do that because they are already made and wrapped" which was a pretty bad sign. Then oysters came- poorly shucked, 2 had a strong fishy flavor and 4 had no flavor or brine at all. The tuna tartare had no flavor and was basically mush. The lobster roll meat tasted freezer burnt and it is definitely not "ribeye" in the steak sandwich. It was my first time, and although just a Sunday lunch service-- you can't excuse how poor the quality was. read more

After reading just about every review since this new eatery opened, negative & positive, we decided to try it out ourselves to see how we would rate it after having lunch there this past Friday! My daughter, the "Foodie" in our Family had mentioned Marker 34 to us and we were excited to go there and try it out! The Restaurant was pretty busy at noon and at first glance we thought it would be bigger but it was an unexpected airy and pleasant atmosphere! The large sliders were open to the beautiful views of the Marina & Merrimack River allowing the breeze to fill the Restaurant! It took a few minutes for one of the waitstaff to fill our water glasses and after taking a sip it was just tap water, what No Ice cubes? I've never been to Restaurant that serves tap water from their water pitcher without Ice in it? After 10 minutes our Waitress, I won't mention her name and you'll find out later in this review why! We ordered three Allagash Whites on draft and it took almost 15 minutes before they were brought to the table, they were Ice Cold and actually ended up being the best part of our Lunch! Please read on! ;) The Menu, an All Day Menu, is somewhat limited for an upscale Restaurant! We're sure that the Menu will become more diversified in the Future! Since you can never go wrong with a Burger, so we thought , my partner and I chose the Marker 34 Burger and my Daughter opted for the PEI Mussels! We were asked how we would like our Burgers cooked and my partner said Medium Well and I always get mine Medium! After another 30 minutes a couple of young Men brought us the food! We always cut our Burgers in half and hers was cooked Medium/Medium Rar and mine was literally raw and cold, not to mention rather tasteless, something was definitely missing, probably bc it was rar without any noticeable spices and lacked the flavor of a properly grilled Burger! I don't think they grill their Burgers I think they might be baked? We were hungry so we just sucked it up and dealt with it! On a side note, the Burger Buns were not toasted they were charred and burnt! Our Waitress came over and asked how everything was and my partner said that her Burger wasn't done as ordered and she replied "that it seemed to be the theme of the day", and that she would forward the feedback, she also offered to have them done over but at this point it just became a mood point!...that's why I won't mention her name bc she obviously had other complaints and making that comment to us would probably get her fired!...and speaking of other complaints, the party at the table next to us were also having issues with their food and weren't happy campers! My Daughter, who's a real foodie as mentioned before , rated the PEI Mussels a 3 out of 5 Stars and said that the Mussels should've be served with a nice Crusty French Baguette not a couple of slices of grilled white bread! She also mentioned that they were rather small Mussels for being PEI Mussels! Ok, enough of the negativity! We really wanted to give this Restaurant a decent review, but in all honesty, we can't! Our Waitress should've, at least, comped a portion of the bill, maybe just the beers or a burger in good faith, but that didn't happen! Over a hundred bucks w/ tip for a subpar meal was, to say the least, disappointing! We understand the growing pains that a new Restaurant goes through but after being open a Month they should've, pretty much had all their wrinkles ironed out by now, but that certainly wasn't the case! I hope that this Restaurant gets its act together bc it's in a great location but the main reason one goes out to eat is ultimately the food and Marker 34 just didn't deliver! Maybe we just hit it at a wrong time bc there are many 4/5 star reviews? Maybe we shouldn't have ordered the Burgers ! Shoulda, woulda, coulda" comes to mind! We dined at Markar34 for lunch on their second day of business. The location is beautiful with a modern dining room and a nice outdoor seating deck with a view of the Merrimack river. Service from start to finish was exceptionally friendly and competent. I usually wait 4-5 weeks before eating at a new restaurant to allow for the kinks to be worked out, but we were in the area, saw some posts on social media and decided to give it a try. For their second day, and with an almost full house, I think they did a good job overall. There were some minor food and service kinks, but management addressed them. I have every confidence this is going to be a well run restaurant with a good offering of food. They are currently working with a limited menu that differs from what you will see online. Now about the food, we started with the arancini appetizer and received what we thought to be a generous portion of tasty arancini. My only regret was that there was no bread provided to soak up what was a tasty sauce that accompanied the arancini. The chef has a restrained hand and we thought the dish was properly seasoned. I really dislike when food is overly salty, and that was not the case here. We then moved on to one of their rib eye steak sandwiches which was also nicely prepared. I am excited to see how this restaurant evolves and I believe it will become a great addition to choices in the Amesbury area. read more

Marker 34 soft opened in June 2026, serving lunch, dinner, and drinks at the Marina at Amesbury Point on the second floor. This waterfront restaurant and bar offers a full service bar with seating & TVs, high top tables, and regular table seating. There is also an outside deck with a nice waterfront view of the marina & boats with table seating and a standing area along the railing to place your drinks, plus there are also round high top tables with no chairs in the back corner of the deck. They currently have limited soft opening menus at the time of this posting. The full food menu offerings will include a selection of appetizers, raw bar, salads, burgers, sandwiches, entrees (steak, seafood, chicken, pasta), kids menu and desserts. They offer separate lunch & dinner menus, which vary slightly from each other. The prices are moderate high. The bar has 4 draft beers, beer cans/bottles, wine, liquor, and cocktails. I stopped by Marker 34 for a late lunch. The place was overly busy on their official first day (Juneteenth) open to the public. They had their friends and family nights beforehand. There were no seats available at the bar (walk-ins/first come first served) since everyone was camped out drinking & eating watching World Cup action on the TVs. The tables inside and outside were reservation only and opentable reservations was all booked up until next Wednesday. I went to the hostess stand and the staff said everything was booked up. I asked to see a soft opening lunch menu which they gave me and the manager stepped in and said I could eat at one of the high top tables on the deck, no chairs though. I accepted and headed out on the deck. The server arrived to take my drink order and food order. I got and ice water with lemon and ordered the Heirloom Tomato Panzanella Salad ($19 plus tax) and the Cod Sandwich ($20 plus tax) with Fries. My food items arrived together as requested, in 20 minutes after ordering. Another group arrived and they were also standing around the next high top table and ordered drinks. They asked me how I was able to order food since they were told drinks only. Soon after, the server tells them the kitchen was transitioning over to dinner menu and they would be able to order dinner food 25 minutes later (4:30 pm start). Anyways, the Heirloom Tomato Panzanella Salad had a mix of field greens, ripe heirloom tomatoes, soft burrata, red pickled onions, croutons, parmigiano reggiano, basil, lite vinaigrette dressing. This salad was ideal on a warm sunny afternoon. The Cod Sandwich had a crispy battered cod (flaky), topped with house slaw, bibb lettuce, & tartar sauce on a toasted brioche bun. The standard shoestring fries were lightly and crisp. I also got half of the sandwich boxed. The check was presented which was $41.73 with tax and before tip. Overall, the food here was good and the view of the boats in the river was great. The service was adequate despite being extremely busy on their opening day. I will have to try again here for dinner during the week once their full menu goes live. They also have second room to the left side and more outside deck access, which was empty. That second room could offer more expanded dining room table seating and/or be a meeting/function room. read more

Anyway, we wanted to try Marker 34 due to the great location on the Merrimack River, the attractive high end new build, deck and views. We stopped in for a light lunch on a sunny, summer Thursday. I ordered the chicken tenders with fries, both the best i have ever had. That's right, the best I have ever had and that includes scores of places all over the country. Can't speak for the wife but she got the steak sandwich which she really liked......also included the same melt in your mouth, crispy skinny fries. Very attractive interior, beautiful setting, decent service. Beyond that it was mediocre to awful. The noise level is so high we couldn't wait to finish and just get out. We wound up leaving the rest of our drinks and went back home to have a final glass of wine where we could relax and talk. It just became too exhausting to sit there shouting across the table. I ordered one of their specialty cocktails. What came was a long drink full of ice and so diluted it was more like a fruit punch. They should say what a drink is on the menu. Cocktails should come in a cocktail glass (duh). My hamburger and fries were extremely average. My wife's salad was extremely poor. In August they made the salad with flavorless hothouse tomatoes and her shrimp were overcooked. Where did they get those tomatoes anyway? Northern Canada? Chile? Oh, and the salad came completely dry with no dressing. When she complained they took it away and returned it with all the dressing dumped in one spot where it pooled at the bottom of the plate. Went this afternoon for lunch. I went there a few days after it opened and the food, drinks and the service was good so I decided to return today for some lunch. When we got there they sat us outside and we waited for about 15 minutes and no one came to our table. I saw a buss boy and told him to please call our server over and waited about another 4 minutes and still no one. I finally stopped the server that was waiting on the table next to us and asked her to please get our server. A few minutes later she came back and said our server was busy and that she would take care of us. We ordered our drinks and it took sometime to get them. The table next to us sat down before us and they were served and got their appetizers before we got our drinks. Finally we got our drinks and the manager came over and told us that the first round was on the house because of the wait. Party of 4, with 6pm reservations on a Saturday night. Place was jammed, but we were seated right away. Views and atmosphere are incredible. Parking is a challenge...every spot was taken at 5:50! Our server was especially friendly and welcoming. Took our drink orders pretty quickly, but the drinks were very slow to come (second round came faster). Bread wasn't ready immediately, but was delicious when it did arrive. Salmon was excellent and salad with grilled chicken was very good. They are obviously still working out some kinks, but we already saw some improvements from earlier visits (been 2 other times). Our biggest complaint is that while the drinks are good, they are very small. One of the bartenders told us that the martini's are considerably smaller than those she makes for another comparable restaurant. Since the price is not smaller...this seems like a bad decision on their part! So, glad to see service and food are improving. The venue can't be beat. Just need to improve the drinks and my rating will go up! read more

We visited Marker 34 for dinner tonight and were excited to try this beautiful new restaurant on the river. The space is stunning, with a great atmosphere and a setting that has so much potential. Unfortunately, the service didn't match the quality of the location. When we sat at the bar, there were four staff members behind the bar, yet no one greeted us. Eventually one bartender asked only me what I wanted to drink, without acknowledging the other two people in my party. When we asked about gluten-free options, the bartender wasn't able to answer questions about several menu items. We started with the mussels and the chilled tomato soup. The mussels were delicious and a definite highlight. The tomato soup had good flavor, but it was unusually thick and didn't have the smooth consistency we expected from a chilled soup. After finishing our appetizers, we waited quite a while before realizing we needed to remind the bartenders that we were ready to order our entrees. The pork chop was dry and lacked tenderness. The salmon itself was cooked well, but the succotash was disappointing--it consisted mostly of grilled corn with only two small pieces of mushroom and no beans, which isn't what we expected. Throughout the meal, no one checked back to see how our food was or whether we needed anything. For a restaurant positioning itself as a finer dining experience, the service felt inattentive and disengaged. Marker 34 has an incredible location, a beautiful space, and glimpses of a strong menu. With better staff training, more attentive service, and greater attention to menu execution, it has the potential to become a standout dining destination. We hope these are simply growing pains that will improve as the restaurant settles in. read more

Went on a Friday afernoon, no indoor tables available but we were seated at a 2-person hightop outside with nice views. Because we were celebrating a special milestone, we each ordered a glass of white wine and a warm lobster roll. I asked to hold the lettuce (nothing worse than slimy lettuce on a lobster roll). We waited about twenty minutes and the lobster rolls arrived with a side of fries. Meanwhile, we still had not received our drinks. Lobster rolls were very sparse, maybe 2 ounces of tiny, wrinkled lobster meat, no evidence of claw or knuckle meat. A quality roll should use meat from a full one-pound lobster. That would be 4-5 ounces of lobster meat. These didn't even come close to reaching the top or ends of the toasted hotdog roll. Mine did have lettuce and it was slimy and wilted. The roll was drenched in butter and not grilled very much. My husband went inside to retrieve our wine as it still had not arrived. Overall, a disappointing experience considering the lobster roll was the priciest item on the menu. The views were good and the restaurant is pretty, but that's about the only positive thing I can say. read more

There has been so much (too much) hype over this restaurant that we finally got around to trying it. It did not live up to the hype. We wanted so much to like it. The menu is very limited (for dinner anyway) and for being on the water you would think there would be more seafood options. The service was slow, we waited 15 minutes for our first drink. The bar, which is huge, obviously gets first priority. And the fact that the bar is so big and the ceilings are very high it was extremely loud. You could not have a conversation with your partner unless you yelled. Restaurants on the water are usually casual and inviting. This one was not and felt a little pretentious. The vibe is not very welcoming. We had a reservation but still had to wait for our table which ended up being probably the worst one in the house. They may want to spend more time on menu creation and sound buffering than on their social media posts. read more

The best part about Marker 34 is the view. Entering the building felt like a cold, sterile, secluded hotel lobby. The main dining room was extremely loud due to high ceilings (pretty) and glass doors closed for a/c. Having a drink at the outside rail was nice. Our service was seriously lacking; not related to getting the kinks out of a new restaurant. For example, she filled one water glass at our table and walked away even after I moved mine closer to her to fill. I noticed her coming from the bar area with one drink for one table, while we had been waiting for ours too. Doesn't seem very efficient. The menu offered some variety but they were out of the salmon and mussels, so we were pretty much left with chicken and beef for options. I wasn't impressed and won't be back. read more
