Huge shout out to the floral department inside the McKinney Market Street. My mom had flowers delivered from another location for my father's celebration of life and they were just a major disappointment. I called and spoke to floral and they had me bring them in. Years ago when I first went to a Market Street store I called it Trader Joe's on steroids, they had so many things similar, but not exactly the same as TJ's. That was before TJ's became a big thing in DFW. I think at that time the only TJ's was in Fort Worth but I wasn't driving that far. Market Street has some great buys on meat if you watch their ads, otherwise they are a bit more pricey than other stores. Their produce sections is gloriously pleasing to the eye. I love that after doing my grocery shopping I can go through their cafe area and pick up dinner to take home because who wants to go home and put all that stuff away and then have to cook too. My favorite is their brisket plate. The staff is kind and helpful. As a disabled person I need to use their mobile carts and if I come in the door that is not near where they keep the mobile carts the staff is always helpful to go get one and bring it to me. They also help me out to the car so they can bring the cart back in. read more

I tell you I had the best cashier I've had in years. A young lady named Brianna was polite, fast and thoughtful. She even asked how my day was going and if I had plans for the weekend!! The most pleasant and convenient and reasonably priced premium grocery store! My family and I love Market Street. They have our favorite in-store ready to eat and to order food, such as their breakfast bowls, plates, salad bar, barbecue, wings, hot sandwiches and premium burgers. We love their sushi station, our family pick for fresh, tasty and reasonably priced take out sushi. We also love their bakery and fresh produce departments, try the amazing fruit tart or lemon cake, cookies and muffins. The staff are very helpful and go out of their way to assist in any way, including taking your cart to your car and returning the cart to the store. They also have areas to eat both downstairs and upstairs. Very comfortable and welcoming upstairs, especially. And, they also put on cooking classes seasonally in their classroom upstairs. If you need a gift, they also have a gift store, and a fantastic floral and balloon department. We get balloons and flowers there all the time. Oh, and we also use their great pharmacy and health supplement departments all the time. Can't say enough about the fantastic staff, they always take the time to help, if needed. We love coming here for groceries and beyond, take out and just to hang out with friends and family over a meal. Love Market Street and have enjoyed this great store for over 16 years in our community and will continue for years to come. read more

OVERPRICED and low quality.. 6pm Friday night this place was almost empty and I can see why. They have no deals and prices out the roof. Bananas were 4 for a $1... first of all who prices bananas like that. Gas stations sell cheaper bananas. Your employees are rude and have an attitude problem... and H.E.B has taken all your costumers. Your business model is failing. No one care that take the carts to our cars. It's actually annoying being followed to our cars. Make moves... or become the next Kroger Not coming back... read more

I was totaly ripped off by DoorDash and the flower shop at Market Street. I ordered Red Roses for my lady to be delivered today. I ordered from Market Street and DoorDash's partnership. Then peach colored roses were delivered to the wrong address! When I called Market Street they just blamed it on Doordash and sad sorry no recourse. I contacted DoorDash and they blamed Market Street. What a terrible experience - I am out the money. Thank goodness I found a real flower shop that was able to get the order right. We have shopped here for over 20 years and have always had good service quality and selection. I am alarmed that in the past couple of months I have had numerous and consistent problems with moldy, expiring food from their produce and packaged foods. Last three visits I purchased a bag of potato's that were soft and growing stems after a week. A bag of small cucumbers that turned to soup in my refrigerator in a week and just bought 5 mandarin oranges that had mold growing after just two days. Today I opened a tub of pimento cheese that was growing white mold on top. I have complained and they have listened but I keep having food spoil after days. I think they are selling past expiration food. I'm sick over it because I have always loved to shop here. read more

Breakfast burritos are the best. Love that you say yes that and no to that and a little more of those. Then you walk out with a burrito made just for you. All the adds are excellent and I can get a veggie and hubby gets all the protein you can pack into that tortilla. read more

I ordered a two tier cake for my daughter's birthday, the bottom was 8 inches and the top was 5 inches, it was a chocolate cake with white frosting, no decorations what so ever because I wanted to decorate it with fresh fliwes. They charged me $75 for that cake, and it was the most awful cake I've ever had. It tasted like a box mix cake from Dollar Tree! I am beyond disappointed, and Market Street simply ripped me off!!!!!! read more

First, I want to kick myself for not finding out about this store sooner. I moved to DFW about 2 years ago and live in McKinney. I just discovered this store 3 months ago. I've been going to Kroger on Custer because it's closer, but the checkout lines are a bit long and they don't have what one would call "competitive pricing," even with the Kroger Card. Market Street is a total 180 from Kroger. Very good prices on meats, well stocked shelves and an expansive wine selection. Oh, and you will not be waiting a very long time to check out. You can use self-checkout if you'd like but some of us are still pretty old school and would rather interact with a real person. Cashiers are super friendly, and the staff are very helpful. Only problem is that is a bit of a drive but if I'm looking to stock up on groceries, it's worth it. read more

Not so good and high price. They need to work on their quality control. Their sushi was terrible expired the next day but was already sour. The mostly put cucumber in the Spicy California roll sushi and left out most of the avocado. They don't put the spicy sauce on top you have to ask for it. I guess they're trying to scrimp and a save on their spicy sauce, and avocados on our expense. Target has better sushi and fresher tasting and already has spicy sauce. . The stores seasoned rotisserie chicken was overdone almost burnt, and too dry. Not coming back to this location. I almost choked on their dry chicken. read more

Do NOT order food from the hot line here. I just tonight witnessed an employee picking his nose behind the hot food line. I have had similar experiences where the kid behind the hot line emptied the trash and did not wash his hands afterwards. I will be calling the health department as this is extremely unsanitary. I am usually very understanding & patient when it comes to food being delivered & the food being just okay. It has to be pretty bad when I low star it. The only reason I'm giving it two stars is because the charro beans were edible and the Strawberry Fields Salad was its saving grace. We will start with the pork ribs. If I had my dental floss nearby I'd have had to floss after each bite. I am curious how these were made. The oven covered in tin foil maybe? Definitely not long enough. And so very bland. I'm not sure if there was a dry rub on there but when I added my own bbq sauce on it it did not help. I could not eat the 3 that came with it. Next is the Green Bean Almandine. I ate 3 green beans and that was all I could handle. I think they used a 1/4 - 1/2 cup of salt in each batch. Inedible without a doubt. The green beans were also too soft and very obvious out of a can. The Charro Beans were very tasty. I did have to salt them but I'm pretty sure the beans were out of a can. No biggie on these. Mashed Potatoes were fine. Can't really say much about instant mashed potatoes. Now for the salad. First I'm going to gripe. I was originally going to order a side Caesar but the only way to order it was with chicken or salmon. Not cool. But that gripe brought me to the strawberry field's salad. Wow. Good flavor, good ingredients. Can't go wrong. Since I wasn't there I don't know how this was served. Did you walk down a line or walk up & order at the register? One thing I know for sure. We will not be back. EDITED TO ADD: After reading the reviews it sounds like this is a market. Did I just write this review to the wrong business? If I did I beg forgiveness. The customer service at Market Street McKInney on El Dorado, has continued to decline. I just was in the store and the grocery bagger didn't want to take my groceries to the car, after cramming 1 paper bag with 1 glass 32oz bottle of soup, 2 glass bottles of 16 oz soup, 2 1 lb each packages shredded chicken, and 1/2 gallon milk. There were a minimum of 5 people standing by customer service - discussing working at a restaurant- maybe they should go- not helping anyone there. I managed to get to the car in the rain with my bag. Sad that there are no managers observing their employees to make sure they are being helpful. Can't wait for H‑E‑B McKinney to open. read more

We are long-time Market Street customers & fans because they stock the items we like, they've got a great meat & seafood department, they employ folks with different abilities (which is very aligned with our family's values), and they've got a long history of supporting local community causes (also in-line with our family values). Compared to the new HEB store down the road, we've also come to LOVE Market Street's much more manageably-sized parking lot (with SHADE TREES!), and the smaller square footage of the store, which makes quick trips to pick up just a few items SO MUCH EASIER!!! We've been customers of the Market Street Pharmacy for many years, as well - we get wonderful personalized service from the pharmacy, which we really appreciate. Prices may be a bit higher than HEB and Walmart on some items, but we FAR prefer the superior customer experience we get at Market Street every time we shop, vs. what we've experienced at other larger stores. As long as we live in McKinney, we will be loyal Market Street customers! read more

I moved to Texas about a year ago and have been looking for a nice grocery store. I was so Happy to come across this place. I absolutely Love it!! they have everything I could need here. . I ordered catering for my small wedding, meat and cheese tray, fruit tray, Bread and a cake. Everything was made perfectly and we were very happy with the quality and prices. I will definitely use them again for any events we may have. It's a little bit of a drive for me but This is definitely my new favorite Store read more

I just have to give this grocery store a shout out today. Been going there for a minute, mostly to get specialty items. They have a pea salad pre made that I love. I have always had a wonderful experience when I have ordered from there Catering. So delicious!! I have also had two cakes made at the bakery. Today I got sushi and again it did far from disappoint. This place is a disgrace. The entire management team from the CEO to store manager should be fired . I see why H‑E‑B is killing them. Today I went in to an empty store , full of worthless managers from what I assume are from corporate. Instead of adding value, they are stealing the workers time by getting tours of new fridges and other things they can learn about off hours . Instead of talking to me to see what I wanted to buy while I waited for some one to talk to me at the meat counter, the manager were chatting up the butcher who should have been helping me. I left with nothing and went to H‑E‑B like all the other customers. Support Texas businesses rather then a out of state owned business. H‑E‑B you would be better served not hiring management from Albertsons / market st/Safeway.
