I did alittle shopping at Nordstrom and stopped by Marketplace Cafe in the Nordstrom store in Columbia for a late lunch. They have a nice size menu to order from and priced okay. I ordered the spinach dip, the honey dijon salad were i added chicken to it and for dessert the creme brulee. The cafe is inside of Nordstrom on the 2nd floor at the Mall of Columbia location. The cafe has alot of seating and just standard style seating. The service was fine, you have to order at the counter and the waiter delivers everything to the table. You would never go to a department store and expect good food, but this cafe defies all odds. The menu is pretty good. It's an upscale cafe. You order at the counter, but once you sit down you get a server that brings you everything you need and your meals. The server even brought my kids fruit cups even though it wasn't part of their meals. The food was great! The pizza wasn't the best I've ever had, but it made my kids happy and it was better than any kind of delivery pizza. My salad was great! Something you'd get an upscale restaurant, not just a mall cafe. The restaurant is also very quiet and relaxed because it is offset from the hub of the mall. If you haven't gone to the cafe, skip the foodcourt next time and give this a try. read more

There are a couple tasty items I've tried at Nordstrom Cafe. Most recently, I ordered the margherita pizza and added pepperonis for +$3.50. Kinda a lot for the amount of pepperonis but it was a tasty pizza for sure. Sometimes it's hard to get there early enough to eat before they close around 6, but it is definitely pretty quiet compared to other restaurants which is nice. Since Nordstrom is my favorite department store, Cafe Nordstrom has been in my life for many years! Whoever owns Nordstrom had the idea of putting a decent size Cafe inside the store, for weary shoppers to rest their feet and grab a bite to eat. It was a smart one. The food is fresh and delicious. From perfectly cooked Salmon, salads, pizza, sandwiches, pastry, and coffee. It's all very tasty. Now the prices, probably the one ding I'd give. On my last visit, I had a sandwich with butter lettuce, avocado, tomato, and aioli. All fresh a yummy. Along with a small handful of chips, $18! Was it worth $18? Debatable. To me, yes, to others, maybe not so much. I give 5 stars because I love it there. Happy eating! read more

I was there last week and spoke to manager about my gluten free options. She hooked me up beautifully without any reactions. I went there today. The manager I spoke to last week was not there. I placed my order stating gluten free. They didn't seem to care so said it 2x. I had a reaction! Ugh. Can't eat there again. Also the servers never filled my drink. Tucked way back of the 2nd floor Nordstroms inside the Columbia Mall. What a treasure of a cafe, I'm so happy to have stumbled across it. The cafe is very casual but kinda fancy food, you order at the counter when you walk in and then you seat yourself anywhere. They have so many healthy options at a pretty decent price point. My waitress came by and scanned my receipt and brought out my food. The soup of the day was so good! Hominy, chicken, veggies, sliced raw radish on top and served with a giant cheese crouton. Delicious! I got a cup but would gladly get a bowl next time. The avocado toast was good as well but I will request no mayo next time. The very informative & super nice waitress mentioned that they gladly take requests and that many items are available that are not on the menu such as French fries. Excellent service and delicious food! I did not know this cafe was in fact a chef driven dining experience. The chef, Marcus does a superb job with every dish we sampled from delectable salmon, homemade (and wonderful) chicken noodle soup, superb pizza especially with the cauliflower crust as well as freshly made sandwiches and pastas. He is amazing! We even got to meet him and he is fabulous! There was another staff member, Priscilla, who was so attentive and charming. She truly elevated our lovely experience. She is a beautiful young lady with infectious smile so you'll recognize her if you need anything. These two are quite an asset to the Nordstrom name! This my first time enjoying the ambiance of this restaurant. It is a casual dining experience with soft instrumental music played in the background. My selection was Maple Glazed Bacon and chicken sandwich. The avocado was an added surprise (I didn't pay attention to the ingredients). Each of chose something deliciously different. Here's the flow: We entered and made our selections from provided menus. We went directly to the friendly cashier, ordered and paid. We chose our table, booth of course, and put the receipt case on the edge of the table. Within minutes Bella, our waitress, introduced herself and took the case. She brought the drinks and later our food. She was so attentive, garnering a 20 percent tip. We truly enjoyed this dining experience within the Nordstrom department store! read more

Went here for the first time on a Friday 12/30 around 11am. Was greeted and order was taken: shrimp and sweet corn arugula salad with a Mexican coke side glass of ice and crab soup with cheddar and chive biscuit with a Spindrift. Since the deserts and sweets are popular ordered them to take home. Two individual size chocolate cakes, a red velvet cupcake, and two chocolate chip cookies!! Staff was great offered suggestions and answered questions we had about ingredients. We had a vegan dining. The food was prepared perfectly. The salad was constructed with care. Greens properly dressed, shrimp not over cooked and tasted clean, and 5 sized very well. I was able to share some of them. The soup was hot, flavorful, and presented very nicely. All delicious and tasty. Everything was CLEAN!!! The bathroom the restaurant. Always wanted to dine here and finally got to do so. It was very relaxing and staff was attentive and the service was wonderful l. The way the deserts were packaged was excellent. I'm in the hotel and food industry and that meant a lot. It wasn't just tossed in the bag care was taken and appreciate that!! I will most certainly come back again to dine and try other items on the menu. read more

I consider the cafe in Nordstrom to be a hidden gem in the mall. It is a great place to get yummy food but not pay top dollar. They recently remodeled and now have waiters who bring you your food. We were a bit confused on this in terms of tipping since we already paid for our food at the register. Just a tip, bring cash to tip the food runner/ waiter. It has been so long since I have been to this café but I have always felt so at home here. The dimly lit space is so cozy and inviting. Their is low music playing which adds a lounge ambience to the setting. The food is immaculate. I walk in and a fresh wave of hot flavor food hits my nose and I just start smiling like an idiot. I don't believe that you could go wrong with any of the options on the menu. Nothing is overpriced and you get a huge amount of food too. This particular spot is even more amazing after a long day of shopping and being exhausted at the mall, you can go and simply relax and enjoy the good food, good music, low lighting, and fair prices. I highly recommend to everyone. Go with a friend and then go alone. I believe they are two very different experiences. read more

We ended up here when our original training plan fell through, I would say Plan B is another great description for the Cafe'. Their menu does have a variety of selections, but wildly overpriced for the size and quality of their dishes. Before we ordered, we were seated at the table and informed we had to go to the counter to order. However, realizing there were six of us on one bill, the waitress was very friendly and happy to just take our orders at the table (the staff was the best part about the place). I ordered the Wild Salmon Nicoise Salad. Glad it was a free lunch...everything tasted like it was straight from a can. No one is here and the place is spotless. I walked around the mall a bit and wanted a bite to eat; the food court was a bit too crowded for my liking, so I ventured into Cafe Nordstrom (CN). Before COVID came along and the revamping of this cafe, I used to frequent CN, particularly on Fridays - cream of crab soup day. On this day, mid-week - I found myself hungry and wanting quiet. Tables, carpet, booths - everything clean, service was friendly, efficient - lighting was nice, pretty pictures on the walls. The menu is limited, but there were enough choices to choose from. Ate a wonderful salad with chicken, cilantro, pepitas - with a zingy vinaigrette and the most delicious cookie ever - a Royal. It's like a Mounds' marriage to macadamia and chips goodness. I've since been back, just to purchase these amazing cookies. What a lovely treat this was. read more

From the oversized (and beautiful) wall lamps and massiveoversized mirror frames to the tall ceilings and buffet line, Nordstrom's restaurant easily reminds me of a small Las Vegas casino's dining room. Unlike some restaurants in Vegas, however, the food here is excellent, but not cheap. Stand outs for us were the tomato basil soup and the pasta Bolognese. If you want similar food but wish to save a few bucks, try La Madeline at Columbia Crossing. If you're at the mall? Honestly, it's hard to beat. Service? Kind of nonexistent, in that they just bring the food to you, then dissappear. Nonetheless, it's a really pleasant dining space, great food. Just too doggone pricey.. sorry, Nordies. Recently, I went to Nordstrom Cafe for first time since its Grand Re-opening around 3 years ago. The reason for my large hiatus was because they changed the menu when they re-opened, and the food was just high sodium and not good. They seem to have now returned to the original menu, which is much better tasting. I went about 20 minutes before closing and received excellent and attentive service. I ordered the Pasta Bolognese and my mom had the Cilantro Lime Chicken Salad. A little pricey, in my opinion, but would recommend if you're looking for a nicer atmosphere in the mall to grab lunch or dinner. read more

I have lived near The Columbia Mall for over 15 years, however up until this visit, I had never tried Cafe Nordstrom. What a mistake! The food was excellent, filling, and unique - I wish I had given this restaurant a try years ago! My friend that I visited the restaurant with is a regular; she has told me about it for years, but I never remembered to try it out. She told me that she loves many of the salads at the Cafe due to the uniqueness of their dressings. Her favorite is the shrimp & arugula salad with sweet corn! Although we didn't order it at this visit, it sounds delicious based on her description and review of the dish. This day, we ordered the prosciutto & arugula handmade pizza, which was AMAZING. The flavors blended together perfectly and the combination of cheeses used to make the pizza set it apart from a normal pizza. We also ordered a special of the day that involved scallops, spinach, and risotto (but I don't remember the name of it - I'm a horrible Yelper!), which was also wonderful. The cream-based sauce was the cherry on top of a great dish. After all this food, we were stuffed and had no room for dessert, but my friend also highly recommended their Creme Brulee, which was massive and seemed like a steal for $7. Speaking of prices, be forewarned, this restaurant is not fast-food cheap like what you would get at the food court in The Columbia Mall; however, it is good quality food made fresh to order, and absolutely worth every penny. The restaurant is spacious with many seating options (booths, tables, etc) and is family friendly! Many people bring their kids in strollers/carseats and there's plenty of room for everyone! The only reason I didn't give this location 5 stars was because of their service. We asked our waitress a few times for parmesan cheese to top our pizza, and she told us she would bring it out but never did. She was also extremely slow with filling water glasses and bringing a to-go box, although the cafe was not very busy when we went. I'm sure this was an anomaly, as the staff overall seems friendly - don't let this small issue deter you from trying this amazing Cafe out! read more

The chicken in my salad was very rubbery. The server did not come back to give a refill or check on us. They offer soups, salads and sandwiches at a fair price and are always delicious. The tomato soup is great and I enjoy their seasonal salads with fruit. The woman we had checking us out today was pleasant and we have a great time when were here. Oh Nordstrom! Your food is oh so yummy! The marketplace café here at the Columbia Mall location is perfect for a casual meal with a wide selection of food. They do not serve beer or wine here at this location. My mom and I came in here after seeing that Panera was crowded and smelled unscrupulous. I revealed to her that I was craving a bit of a sweet treat and Nordstrom's Café upstairs was the place to satisfy it! My mom and I ordered the chicken with avocado sandwich and a delicious red velvet cupcake. The frosting on this cupcake is to die for. It is so freaking yummy! They are open Monday through Saturday from 10am to 9:30pm and Sunday 11am through 6pm. Please note that they do close for Holidays. Honestly one of the best pasta dishes that I have had since moving here to America. It tasted just like how they make it back home in Australia. Customer service is excellent with the cafe being quite spacious and comfortable. The red velvet cupcake was delicious as well. Will definitely be attending there again with my husband. They recently remodeled and they were closed for about two months ( my soul died) they wanted restaurant feel than a swanky cafeteria (which was the old format) . You now select your meal , pay and will be seated. From There you are greeted by your server.. They bring your drinks and delicious dinner roll on a hot saucer and REAL land o lakes butter! When you order water or club water they now bring you a carafe!! Which I adore!! It just adds to the ambience of your table! Ambience.. Low neutral lights, warm wood accents , lots of grey tone decor and splashes of color on the walls. Always very clean. The servers wear all black , very neat and always clean!!!! Friendly I might add, no one has ever been rude!! Food... Amazing , seasoned just right, I only add pepper ! the presentation is pleasing to the eye! I almost don't want to eat it! Lol who am I fooling!!! I take my pics and dig in! I have had the Tuscan chicken, steak and salmon. Cobb salad and pizza! So far everything has been excellent!! Oh!
