    My made up sandwich

Since Nordstrom is my favorite department store, Cafe Nordstrom has been in my life for many years! Whoever owns Nordstrom had the idea of putting a decent size Cafe inside the store, for weary shoppers to rest their feet and grab a bite to eat. It was a smart one. The food is fresh and delicious. From perfectly cooked Salmon, salads, pizza, sandwiches, pastry, and coffee. It's all very tasty. Now the prices, probably the one ding I'd give. On my last visit, I had a sandwich with butter lettuce, avocado, tomato, and aioli. All fresh a yummy. Along with a small handful of chips, $18! Was it worth $18? Debatable. To me, yes, to others, maybe not so much. I give 5 stars because I love it there. Happy eating!

Merry Sip & Bites is happening now through December 24th with their Baked Artichoke Dip, Roasted Garlic Bruschetta w/ Tomato & Basil, and Cranberry Bliss Sparkler. These delicious bites are inspired from Nordstrom's newest cookbook. Take a breather from shopping and happy snacking! I sampled an array of dishes from their original menu and my favorite was the Grilled Skirt Steak. The steak was tender and flavorful and the polenta corn cake was the perfect side dish (I'm a fan of everything corn). Everything was delicious and a delightful experience.

Tucked way back of the 2nd floor Nordstroms inside the Columbia Mall. What a treasure of a cafe, I'm so happy to have stumbled across it. The cafe is very casual but kinda fancy food, you order at the counter when you walk in and then you seat yourself anywhere. They have so many healthy options at a pretty decent price point. My waitress came by and scanned my receipt and brought out my food. The soup of the day was so good! Hominy, chicken, veggies, sliced raw radish on top and served with a giant cheese crouton. Delicious! I got a cup but would gladly get a bowl next time. The avocado toast was good as well but I will request no mayo next time. The very informative & super nice waitress mentioned that they gladly take requests and that many items are available that are not on the menu such as French fries. I was also informed they welcome people to come in and work on their laptop while they eat. Super comfortable working environment, great soft benches and huge windows to look outside.

Went here for the first time on a Friday 12/30 around 11am. Was greeted and order was taken: shrimp and sweet corn arugula salad with a Mexican coke side glass of ice and crab soup with cheddar and chive biscuit with a Spindrift. Since the deserts and sweets are popular ordered them to take home. Two individual size chocolate cakes, a red velvet cupcake, and two chocolate chip cookies!! Staff was great offered suggestions and answered questions we had about ingredients. We had a vegan dining. The food was prepared perfectly. The salad was constructed with care. Greens properly dressed, shrimp not over cooked and tasted clean, and 5 sized very well. I was able to share some of them. The soup was hot, flavorful, and presented very nicely. All delicious and tasty. Everything was CLEAN!!! The bathroom the restaurant. Always wanted to dine here and finally got to do so. It was very relaxing and staff was attentive and the service was wonderful l. The way the deserts were packaged was excellent. I'm in the hotel and food industry and that meant a lot. It wasn't just tossed in the bag care was taken and appreciate that!! I will most certainly come back again to dine and try other items on the menu.

This my first time enjoying the ambiance of this restaurant. It is a casual dining experience with soft instrumental music played in the background. My selection was Maple Glazed Bacon and chicken sandwich. The avocado was an added surprise (I didn't pay attention to the ingredients). Each of chose something deliciously different. Here's the flow: We entered and made our selections from provided menus. We went directly to the friendly cashier, ordered and paid. We chose our table, booth of course, and put the receipt case on the edge of the table. Within minutes Bella, our waitress, introduced herself and took the case. She brought the drinks and later our food. She was so attentive, garnering a 20 percent tip. We truly enjoyed this dining experience within the Nordstrom department store!

How do I marathon shop? Or even last two hours? I get a bite to eat at the Cafe with a couple of my go-tos. I like the order-at-the-counter concept and they deliver to your table of choice. It's easy and quick and gets me back into the store to seek out good finds or something I really don't need. - ROMA TOMATO BASIL SOUP - CILANTRO LIME CHICKEN SALAD - CRANBERRY TURKEY SANDWICH - CHOCOLATE CHIP MAC NUT COCONUT CHEWY COOKIE

I consider the cafe in Nordstrom to be a hidden gem in the mall. It is a great place to get yummy food but not pay top dollar. They recently remodeled and now have waiters who bring you your food. We were a bit confused on this in terms of tipping since we already paid for our food at the register. Just a tip, bring cash to tip the food runner/ waiter. Great place on the second floor of Nordstrom.

Recently, I went to Nordstrom Cafe for first time since its Grand Re-opening around 3 years ago. The reason for my large hiatus was because they changed the menu when they re-opened, and the food was just high sodium and not good. They seem to have now returned to the original menu, which is much better tasting. I went about 20 minutes before closing and received excellent and attentive service. I ordered the Pasta Bolognese and my mom had the Cilantro Lime Chicken Salad. A little pricey, in my opinion, but would recommend if you're looking for a nicer atmosphere in the mall to grab lunch or dinner.

From the oversized (and beautiful) wall lamps and massiveoversized mirror frames to the tall ceilings and buffet line, Nordstrom's restaurant easily reminds me of a small Las Vegas casino's dining room. Unlike some restaurants in Vegas, however, the food here is excellent, but not cheap. Stand outs for us were the tomato basil soup and the pasta Bolognese. If you want similar food but wish to save a few bucks, try La Madeline at Columbia Crossing. If you're at the mall? Honestly, it's hard to beat. Service? Kind of nonexistent, in that they just bring the food to you, then dissappear. Nonetheless, it's a really pleasant dining space, great food. Just too doggone pricey.. sorry, Nordies. In a way, though, it's nice to find a restaurant that's quiet, and doesn't have a TV on every wall!

I have lived near The Columbia Mall for over 15 years, however up until this visit, I had never tried Cafe Nordstrom. What a mistake! The food was excellent, filling, and unique - I wish I had given this restaurant a try years ago! My friend that I visited the restaurant with is a regular; she has told me about it for years, but I never remembered to try it out. She told me that she loves many of the salads at the Cafe due to the uniqueness of their dressings. Her favorite is the shrimp & arugula salad with sweet corn! Although we didn't order it at this visit, it sounds delicious based on her description and review of the dish. This day, we ordered the prosciutto & arugula handmade pizza, which was AMAZING. The flavors blended together perfectly and the combination of cheeses used to make the pizza set it apart from a normal pizza. We also ordered a special of the day that involved scallops, spinach, and risotto (but I don't remember the name of it - I'm a horrible Yelper!), which was also wonderful. The cream-based sauce was the cherry on top of a great dish. After all this food, we were stuffed and had no room for dessert, but my friend also highly recommended their Creme Brulee, which was massive and seemed like a steal for $7. Speaking of prices, be forewarned, this restaurant is not fast-food cheap like what you would get at the food court in The Columbia Mall; however, it is good quality food made fresh to order, and absolutely worth every penny. The restaurant is spacious with many seating options (booths, tables, etc) and is family friendly! Many people bring their kids in strollers/carseats and there's plenty of room for everyone! The only reason I didn't give this location 5 stars was because of their service. We asked our waitress a few times for parmesan cheese to top our pizza, and she told us she would bring it out but never did. She was also extremely slow with filling water glasses and bringing a to-go box, although the cafe was not very busy when we went. I'm sure this was an anomaly, as the staff overall seems friendly - don't let this small issue deter you from trying this amazing Cafe out!

Tip: pack your patience…read more I've been wanting to try Cafe Columbia since I heard they have the option to add ice cream to the crepe. Ice cream with crepes are one of my favorite type of crepes, and that's exactly what I ordered; a crepe with ice cream. I walked in and the cafe was bustling with people enjoying their meal, and the workers preparing meals. It was a full house, however, I was able to grab a table for two. French Toast Crepe: this simple yet tasty crepe fit the bill. It had cinnamon flavor with whipped cream and I opted for a scoop of vanilla ice cream. It didn't come with fruit which I will add next time (yes, there will be a next time). Belgium Waffle: another simple item yet the batter was better than I expected. It didn't come with toppings. It came with a lite dusting of powdered sugar and came with room temperature butter. Chai Latte: this was good on the first sip. It seemed watered down and I would have preferred more flavor. Then again, I'm not a regular drinker of chai latte, and my daughter seemed to enjoy it. So don't count this out. When we ordered the staff gave us a disclaimer the crepe would take about 25 minutes. I didn't mind at the time. It took longer than that; however, I could see the workers constantly working on preparing meals so it didn't bother me. We got the waffle about 25 minutes later so we decided to share both the waffle and crepe. The crepe came out about 20 minutes later. The cafe has a well thought out layout. It has tables on each side, a reading area, and an area with complimentary water next to the coffee/tea station. The little station has water, cups, sugar, napkins and creamer (not pictured because it was packed and constantly occupied). On the other side you'll find more tables, the restrooms, and an ostracized nook that had someone in there occupying the chairs for what seemed like quiet time. Customer service is good. Parking is free in a huge parking lot for the business building. The cafe is located at the front of a shared business building. The menu has a variety of waffles with and without fruit options; crepes made either savory or sweet; and coffee drink options. There is an ice cream bar for scoops of ice cream or milkshakes; and lastly some fruit cups. Overall, I enjoyed the cafe and plan to add it to my list of favorites.

So the flight was for different ice lattes paired with a pastry, which was a croissant a Blondie brownie, a macaroon and lastly.strawberry cake for $25. It took a while for the flight to be prepared because I think they're a little bit shortstaffed on a Monday morning, but they had a lot of comfortable places to sit and wait. The corn beef sandwich came out good and I mentioned it was simple because it's literally just corn beef with some white bread and some cheese, but it was actually pretty tasty for breakfast. The coffee flight came out and it's on a large paddle and it looked really delicious. I have to say the regular flavored lattes and the croissant weren't my favorite choices, but as I started moving down the paddleboard towards flavored lattes and the Blondi bar, it was pretty good. My favorite latte was the butter beer and my favorite pastry actually turned out to be the Blondie brownie bar. The inside has enough seating for about 50 people and it's really cutely decorated. I highly recommend stopping in if you're in the mood for a coffee after a day of shopping in Ellicott city.

There were 6 of us, and they were able to put two tables together to accommodate us. I was overall disappointed with the food. The waffle which I paid $5 for was super small and there were just chunks of sugar in it. I also ordered scrambled eggs with spinach and cheese. The spinach came out on the side of the eggs and was uncooked. The cheese was not melted, and the eggs were burnt (dark brown and dry). The waitress was kind enough to take the eggs back for the cheese and spinach to be mixed/melted. They were still burnt and flavorless. I picked around and ate what I could. I also ordered some kind of spinach and feta pastry from the front case, which was good. We also all enjoyed the homefries which were crispy with a unique seasoning. We ordered the stuffed french toast which had a great flavor, but it wasn't really stuffed, there were just toppings on it. My nephew ordered the chicken and waffles. He's 15. I'm guessing that waitress assumed he was a kid and gave him the kids portion. Either way, the fried chicken looked like two pieces of frozen chicken schnitzel. My mother ordered the Reuben and did not like it at all because it lacked flavor.
