Had a great time here. Drank a lot of wine. Lol. We did their regular wine tasting $55 for 6 wines (plus welcome pour). Wines were all pretty good and they had a nice variety. Generous pours. Service was very good. Staff are very knowledgeable and hospitable. We even got some bonus pours. Small place but it's beautiful. Highly recommend

We really enjoyed our tasting experience at Markham. Love that they greet you in the parking lot right away with a glass of wine, and are super friendly and welcoming! The property is huge and we loved the outdoor seating area, especially since it was a beautiful day out with plenty of shade from the umbrellas. We had a great server and all of the tastings were delicious! Will definitely be back.

This is a great winery - we tried the red selections and loved them! The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The high ceilings gave it a massive feel. They had a person give us a sparking wine as we entered- super friendly person - loved the fun vibe and the fire place. My favorite was the Blue Boots red blend and also the Cabernet Sauvignon. It was raining and the sun came out - we got a gorgeous rainbow above the Markham Building.

First stop on a rainy day and it couldn't have been better. We are part of their wine club and absolutely love their reds. We were in town for a wedding and decided to pick up our order in person vs shipping and have a nice tasting while we were there. They have parking right at the front and had an area to place the wet umbrellas before entering the building. We did a walk in for the tasting and that was no issues. They received us with a glass of wine to start while we were seated to our table. This place has a very modern and clean feel that is also relaxing. Our waitress came by and was very friendly. We did the tasting included with the club and worked through the selections for our order since one of the wines I had picked was sold I out. We had a great and relaxing experience and can't wait to be back.

I found this place scouring the information that is available on the web about Napa Valley. To be honest, we enjoyed every winery we visited - I kind of wish I did it more randomly, but that's in the rear view mirror. As you walk in to the winery, you have decorations on both sides as you approach the large stone building. Once you arrive near the front of the stone building, you go to your left to get into the tasting area. The tasting area is large - the room is huge, and it has comfortable seats. We signed up for the Marked Parcel Tasting, which included their 2021 Oak Knoll Sauvignon Blanc, their 2021 Blue Boots Red Blend, the 2018 Hopper House Vineyard Cabernet Franc, a 2019 Little Cannon Merlot, and their 2021 45th Anniversary Merlot. Our wine guide provided information on the winery and each wine. The chairs and table were very comfortable. The interior is quite modern - you can see the photos that I included in the review - it was large room, but stayed quiet in spite of having a few groups doing tastings. The wines were great, and we enjoyed the tasting!

On our first day in Napa, we decided to just stop in Markham to see if they had any openings for tastings. They didn't, which was understandable since it was a beautiful Saturday, however the host, Scotty, offered us a complimentary tasting of a few wines outside. We thought this was so nice and enjoyed his company so much, we decided to book a tasting later in the week. On Thursday afternoon, the four of us returned for a great experience. Scotty gave us his "retro" tasting. This was unique in that rather than ending the tasting with all the reds, we had whites in between to clean tannins from our taste. During the tasting, Scotty gave us a great history of Napa, including letting us know that Markham was one of the original four. He also provided great insight into the winemaking process which was so interesting. We loved this winery and the wines, but Scotty made this a special place! We were so happy to meet him and spend time here.

Came during renovations so we sat outside on a warm summer day. Wine was ok, but engaging conversations made the time fly by and the experience wonderful. Thank you!

Wonderful spot to visit. We were surprised by the superb service and friendliness. The atmosphere was perfect and the wines were very good.

I was very impressed by the counter tasting at Markham. Being an avid Napa traveler, I had never been to Markham but they have a beautiful, modern tasting room and a lovely stone entrance. The hosts were very nice and told us all about the founders, wines, and tailored the tastings to each person. As part of the St. Helena Little Book of Big Experiences, I have really enjoyed trying tastings that I normally wouldn't be going to. Would recommend stopping by as the counter tasting at 25 dollars is quite a steal. Really enjoyed the Sav blanc and several of their red offerings.

And if you like wine and picknicks under the trees it's a total win, win win. We have been here multiple times over the years. This was our first time actually doing a tasting. Andrea stuck with the rose's and white's and I stayed with the red's. Our host was Lucas and he did a fantastic job handling us and multiple patrons at the same time. I could never do this job even though I love wine and can be mediocrely knowledgeable about it to most tourist, but I don't like people and am not into idle chit chat to entertain the peeps. The wine they make you can only buy at the winery and most of it is good and a few bottles are really good. For the tasting you pick 5 from a much larger list and with all tastings at pretty much all wineries we have been to there are always extra splashes of a few other wines as well, typically with the verbage along the lines of, "This one was opened by accident so may as well pour it" or "The new guy thought it was on the list today", or "We just found these in the back and thought it would be a treat". Funny how the extra pours always seem to be on sale by the bottle, Today Only!!! Need to get that FOMO in. Speaking of by the bottle. After the tasting we grabbed a bottle of champs and headed over to the deli for a baguette, cheese and some grapes and onward to the grass. I was eyeballing some tasty looking prosciutto, salami and other assorted meat goodies but opted out since I would be the only one devouring them. Pro tip....if going to buy a bottle for an onsite bring your own wine glasses to avoid the small plastice tumblers. We usually carry double walled stemless aluminum champs and wine glasses with us if not for picknicking for use in hotel rooms and by the hot tub. The picknick grounds are nice with plenty of tables or throw a blanket on the ground. A very nice experience overall!!! Also, "Certified DoggieBear Paw Print of Approval"

There were five of us in our group and none of us had been wine tasting, ever and 3 of us are over 60. The grounds are beautiful and very clean! While we were paying for our package, we were informed that we would be given some extras like more red wines to taste that didn't count toward our 5 wines along with some handmade chocolates. While it was a little warm out, we decided that we wanted to sit outside as we knew our group could get loud. Thankfully, the patio area was lined with misters We were also thankful that Tuesdays aren't a super busy day! Adam was our sommelier, I had to look this up. Adam chatted with us a little to find out what each of us was looking forward to in our wines. I won't bore you with which wines we tried as they are all very good. While the usual time for group like ours should have taken about 60 minutes, we were there closer to 2 hours. Adam helped us with so many delicious wines, taking time to explain what this wine would pair well with, etc. Something that I discovered that I actually do like a good red wine. I guess the red wines that I tried years prior were not so good. We all ended up purchasing several bottles of the wines that we had tried. When we were leaving, there was a gift store with more of the delicious handmade chocolates that we had tried on the patio. There was only the two piece size available but Adam was able to speak with a manager getting as a great deal as the 5 piece box was available. He worked it out so I was able to purchase 3 boxes of the 2 pieces boxes for the same price as the 5 piece box. I had planned on giving these as gifts so it worked wonderfully for me. If you are looking for a great place to go wine tasting, I highly encourage you to try this winery! Great service and goes out of their way to make your day!

My friends and I were limited in our wine knowledge and he admitted that he felt like all wine tastes the same.
