    Complimentary Rose and souvenir glasses
    Bridget E.

Before taking the trip, I did an exhaustive study on the wineries we might visit in Napa Valley. This place hit all the buttons. Beautiful grounds, delicious wine, amazing views, and live music!! We had the pleasure of hearing The Rhythm Method 4 band. Three guys and a girl; and they all have amazing voices individually. The music was a wonderful pop mix, with a good amount of jazz fusion and blues to spice it up; and since Mr. E and I are fans of 70s - 90s music, we just kicked back and enjoyed! Some folks were so moved by the atmosphere, the wine and music, they got up and danced! With the $25 tickets for the concert we each got a complimentary glass of Rose that was so sublime, and the glasses as souvenirs. There is a cave on the grounds, and beautifully appointed tables with brightly colored yellow/orange umbrellas. There are tours available, and for a VIP upgrade, you can experience their five-glass Winemaker Flight paired with charcuterie. The live music can be heard all over the grounds, they have it amplified just right through the PA system - so if you want to take a stroll along the trails, the music will accompany you. It.is.just.so, so, so (add any adjective here - I'm truly running out of words for these places!) Highly recommend this spot, nestled along the Silverado Trail Road in Calistoga, CA. Five stars. All day long!

From start to finish, our experience here was nothing short of phenomenal thanks to Riley and Colin. The hospitality, conversation and wine were so great that during our 2 days and one night in the valley... we came back TWICE! Their summer "Summer Water" was so yummy we couldn't resist buying a case and savoring it for the rest of summer.. with I'm sure another shipment to come within the following weeks! Wine flies when you're having fun!! Much love

Today we came in to get our wine and met up with Colin. Great times and good conversation. Being a first responder you look forward to those precious moments and I'm so glad we were able to unwind and relax. The atmosphere is inviting and Colin had a vast knowledge of wine. Thank you for having us Fairwinds. Your staff and delicious wine will keep us members forever.

We went here as a last stop for wine tasting during my bday weekend in Napa. I called ahead to see if they could accommodate us without a reservation and I spoke with Johnny who even decided to give us a tour of the cave. Everyone here was very friendly and the cave was so fun! Wine was delicious of course. We are so glad we stopped here! I highly recommend them. Ask for Johnny!

We toured Fairwinds with Platypus Wine Tours and were hosted by Kimball. Kimball was very knowledgeable. The selection of wines was varied and delicious. I enjoyed the Rosé best. We ate lunch in the wine cave and couldn't have asked for better ambiance! Fairwinds is definitely worth a stop.

A bunch of my friends went to Fairwinds for their Harvest Dinner, from beginning to end it was a beautiful experience. We had our first tasting in the tasting room. The gentleman behind the bar was super knowledgeable and explained all of the wines we were going to taste over the evening. We then took our glasses of wine out to the patio which boasts a beautiful view of Calistoga. It was a bit chilly but if it was not I could definitely see myself enjoying the scenery and relaxing. As we headed into the wine cave I was in awe! These big beautiful doors opened that led us into many rooms. We got to see the bottling room as well as the fermentation rooms. As you walk through the caves you feel transported into a different world. It is very romantic to wonder around with wine. When we got to the center of the cave we were greeting by a great band and a beautiful dining room that was candle lit and adorned with flowers. The dinner was coursed and paired with wine. The food was Devine. Before desert we went out to see the view from the other side of the cave and it was beautiful. Over looked wineries and mountains. You will NOT be disappointed at Fairwinds. I used to work at a winery in Upstate NY, so I'm quite familiar with wineries. This experience is a must if you are in Calistoga. We will definitely be there again.

Amazing experience at fairwinds estate. We felt like one of the family as Rosie showed us around the caves and grounds. She was amazing!

Cannot say enough praise for our personal tour and experience with Rosie at fairwinds. We never felt rushed, could've spent our whole day there. We loved that we were given options on where to have our tasting and charcuterie. Cave, olive grove, terrace or tasting room. We opted for the caves. First class all the way! We certainly will be back to this hidden gem!

Solage is nestled right on the Silverado Trail in the heart of Calistoga, and the location is unbeatable--you're basically three minutes from downtown and a short, scenic drive from St. Helena and Yountville. The property itself is stunning. It's got that modern wine-country vibe with about 100 detached studios spread across 20-plus acres. When you're sitting in one of the natural hot spring pools or hitting the cold dips at the spa, it really does feel like world-class luxury. Between the mud slides, the gravity chairs, and the fitness classes, you can easily spend your whole trip without leaving the gates. The Food: Solbar is a must. We had the seven-course New Year's Eve prix fixe with wine pairings over numerous years, and each were equally unique and incredible. It's that perfect balance of farm-to-table "health" food and total comfort dishes. For something more low-key, Picobar by the pool has some of the best Baja-style tacos I've had in NorCal. Plus, the whole place is super dog-friendly, which is a huge win for us. The Experience & Pro-Tip: Definitely book through AmEx Platinum if you can. We used the Fine Hotels + Resorts program and snagged a $300 credit, a late 4 p.m. checkout, and an automatic upgrade. I will say, even "perfect" places have their off moments. This year, despite requesting a room close to the spa months in advance (and confirming twice), they initially tucked us away at the far edge of the property. I wasn't thrilled about hiking across 22 acres in my robe and sandals! I spoke with the front desk, and the concierge actually went back and reviewed my recorded calls to verify the request. They did move us about 30 minutes later to a spot half the distance away, though it lacked the private fenced patio and fireplace of our original booking. I was too tired to keep fighting it and just wanted to get to the spa, so I settled in. Despite that hiccup, the service and the atmosphere here remain some of the best in the world. It's not cheap, but for the memories and the access to Napa's best vineyards, it's worth it every time. Can't wait to be back next year.

Compared to Stanly, the rates for rooms were more expensive while I felt the Stanly offered a much better campus. Despite the comments about the campus, the food onsite was pretty good and the reviews will be posted in their respective pages. The room service could have been better as they missed delivery of the pre-ordered breakfast in the morning as the night shift didn't properly fill in the order request and didn't get placed, but the team quickly remedied the situation and delivered not too long after our original request time. The rooms were comfy with a good layout, but the garden out back were covered with fences and it didn't feel as freeing as Stanly Ranch's rooms where the back patio is uncovered. Overall, I'd visit Stanly or Auberge du Soleil when going back to the Napa area.

As a Hyatt member was able to use points instead of selling my Audi to pay for a one night stay. So the next morning, where to go? After a quick breakfast we ended up at The Saint for cocktails. At first we didn't think it was open since it was early and no one was in there. Upon entry it is clear this isn't a dive bar. A few high tops as you enter to the left and a nice long bar with and table against the right wall. This building takes you back to 1890 or so when it was originally a bank. I wonder how many times it was robbed at gun point and the bad boys rode off on horses with the cash??? Many of the light fixtures are original from the same time. It has a bank vault as every good bank should. But since this is a bar the vault is more a private area with seating. Since we just had a late breakfast we only had drinks. Not sure but I'm pretty sure Andrea had a Lemon Drop and I know for sure I had tequila and lime. While we were there a few high tops filled up with Chardonnay drinking ladies getting away from the family (kids and partners) for the day. And a couple of different couples being tourist. I know, I know technically we are tourist but we've spent so much time here over the years we don't feel like tourist and back in the day not long ago many people thought we lived there. Our bartender was great about explaining the details about the bank building and it's history along with a tour. Next time we are in St. Helena we will definitely be back. It looked like a nice place, and we decided we would return the following day for a visit. We came in for some drinks and to enjoy the swanky interior. Dark, sexy vibes, very nicely done. It was on the emptier side when we visited, partly because it was earlier in the afternoon, and partly because people were elsewhere watching the final rounds of the World Cup, but that was fine with us, because we got out lovely bartender basically all to ourselves. Unfortunately, I can't remember his name, but he was terrific, friendly, engaging, and down-to-earth. He made us some great drinks (lemon drop for me, tequila & lime for my partner - we're such one trick ponies), and later showed us around the place. There is a lot of history in the building. It used to be a bank back in the day (and by 'back in the day' I mean the 1800's), and it still has the original vault. Beyond the vault door, there is a speakeasy-style dining room that would be absolutely perfect for a private event. We didn't try any food this time, they only had light bites on offer at that time of the day, but the dinner menu looks promising, and I look forward to having a full meal here upon our next visit. Downtown St. Helena is a bit out of the way of our usual stops in Napa, but I would make a special trip for this spot again.

One of the things I love most about Clos Pegase is that it's so much more than a winery--it's where wine, art, and architecture come together. The estate was originally designed by renowned postmodern architect Michael Graves, who envisioned it as both a winery and an art museum. After the recent restoration, they beautifully brought back his original vision, restoring the warm Mediterranean-inspired colors and architectural details that make this place unlike anywhere else in Napa. If you appreciate interior design, you'll be in heaven. Every room is thoughtfully curated, from the beautiful furnishings and artwork to the intricate bathroom tile. The winery feels like you're walking through a contemporary art gallery, with incredible pieces displayed throughout the property--many of which are available for purchase. Don't miss the HOMMAGE Artist Series gallery while you're there. One of my favorite spaces is the members-only dining room. The dramatic chandelier hanging above the communal table reminds me of the iconic wrecking ball from Game of Thrones (in the best way possible!). They even partnered with Game of Thrones for a special wine release years ago, which made the experience even more memorable. Of course, the wine is why we continue coming back. My absolute favorite is the Blanc de Noir Sparkling Wine from Mitsuko's Vineyard in Carneros. It's crisp, refreshing, and perfect on a warm Napa afternoon. Their Sauvignon Blanc is another favorite that I never leave without, and they also make wonderful dessert wines. I tend to gravitate toward whites, rosés, and sparkling wines, but if you're a red wine lover, you absolutely won't be disappointed either. One of the biggest reasons we've remained members for so many years is how well they treat their wine club members. We've attended their annual crab feed along with several other exclusive member events, and every experience has been exceptional. It truly feels like being part of a community rather than just another wine club. Clos Pegase is one of those rare places that continues to impress me every single visit. Whether you're passionate about wine, architecture, art, or simply looking for one of the most beautiful wineries in Napa Valley, this is an absolute must-visit. It's a place I recommend over and over again and one I'll continue returning to for many years to come.

Do not discount this place because it's  a winery. If your in the Napa area the delicateasan here…read moreis worth the trip on its own. And if you like wine and picknicks under the trees it's a total win, win win. We have been here multiple times over the years. This was our first time actually doing a tasting. Andrea stuck with the rose's and white's and I stayed with the red's. Our host was Lucas and he did a fantastic job handling us and multiple patrons at the same time. I could never do this job even though I love wine and can be mediocrely knowledgeable about it to most tourist, but I don't like people and am not into idle chit chat to entertain the peeps. The wine they make you can only buy at the winery and most of it is good and a few bottles are really good. For the tasting you pick 5 from a much larger list and with all tastings at pretty much all wineries we have been to there are always extra splashes of a few other wines as well, typically with the verbage along the lines of, "This one was opened by accident so may as well pour it" or "The new guy thought it was on the list today", or "We just found these in the back and thought it would be a treat". Funny how the extra pours always seem to be on sale by the bottle, Today Only!!! Need to get that FOMO in. Speaking of by the bottle. After the tasting we grabbed a bottle of champs and headed over to the deli for a baguette, cheese and some grapes and onward to the grass. I was eyeballing some tasty looking prosciutto, salami and other assorted meat goodies but opted out since I would be the only one devouring them. Pro tip....if going to buy a bottle for an onsite bring your own wine glasses to avoid the small plastice tumblers. We usually carry double walled stemless aluminum champs and wine glasses with us if not for picknicking for use in hotel rooms and by the hot tub. The picknick grounds are nice with plenty of tables or throw a blanket on the ground. A very nice experience overall!!! Also, "Certified DoggieBear Paw Print of Approval"

I am so behind! We visited this great winery on Tuesday, July 14th this year. When we were looking…read morefor a winery that doesn't require reservations this one popped up and it had great reviews. There were five of us in our group and none of us had been wine tasting, ever and 3 of us are over 60. The grounds are beautiful and very clean! While we were paying for our package, we were informed that we would be given some extras like more red wines to taste that didn't count toward our 5 wines along with some handmade chocolates. While it was a little warm out, we decided that we wanted to sit outside as we knew our group could get loud. Thankfully, the patio area was lined with misters We were also thankful that Tuesdays aren't a super busy day! Adam was our sommelier, I had to look this up. Adam chatted with us a little to find out what each of us was looking forward to in our wines. I won't bore you with which wines we tried as they are all very good. While the usual time for group like ours should have taken about 60 minutes, we were there closer to 2 hours. Adam helped us with so many delicious wines, taking time to explain what this wine would pair well with, etc. Something that I discovered that I actually do like a good red wine. I guess the red wines that I tried years prior were not so good. We all ended up purchasing several bottles of the wines that we had tried. When we were leaving, there was a gift store with more of the delicious handmade chocolates that we had tried on the patio. There was only the two piece size available but Adam was able to speak with a manager getting as a great deal as the 5 piece box was available. He worked it out so I was able to purchase 3 boxes of the 2 pieces boxes for the same price as the 5 piece box. I had planned on giving these as gifts so it worked wonderfully for me. If you are looking for a great place to go wine tasting, I highly encourage you to try this winery! Great service and goes out of their way to make your day!
