Complimentary Rose and souvenir glasses
Bridget E.

Before taking the trip, I did an exhaustive study on the wineries we might visit in Napa Valley. This place hit all the buttons. Beautiful grounds, delicious wine, amazing views, and live music!! We had the pleasure of hearing The Rhythm Method 4 band. Three guys and a girl; and they all have amazing voices individually. The music was a wonderful pop mix, with a good amount of jazz fusion and blues to spice it up; and since Mr. E and I are fans of 70s - 90s music, we just kicked back and enjoyed! Some folks were so moved by the atmosphere, the wine and music, they got up and danced! With the $25 tickets for the concert we each got a complimentary glass of Rose that was so sublime, and the glasses as souvenirs. There is a cave on the grounds, and beautifully appointed tables with brightly colored yellow/orange umbrellas. There are tours available, and for a VIP upgrade, you can experience their five-glass Winemaker Flight paired with charcuterie. The live music can be heard all over the grounds, they have it amplified just right through the PA system - so if you want to take a stroll along the trails, the music will accompany you. It.is.just.so, so, so (add any adjective here - I'm truly running out of words for these places!) Highly recommend this spot, nestled along the Silverado Trail Road in Calistoga, CA. Five stars. All day long!

From start to finish, our experience here was nothing short of phenomenal thanks to Riley and Colin. The hospitality, conversation and wine were so great that during our 2 days and one night in the valley... we came back TWICE! Their summer "Summer Water" was so yummy we couldn't resist buying a case and savoring it for the rest of summer.. with I'm sure another shipment to come within the following weeks! Wine flies when you're having fun!! Much love

Today we came in to get our wine and met up with Colin. Great times and good conversation. Being a first responder you look forward to those precious moments and I'm so glad we were able to unwind and relax. The atmosphere is inviting and Colin had a vast knowledge of wine. Thank you for having us Fairwinds. Your staff and delicious wine will keep us members forever.

We went here as a last stop for wine tasting during my bday weekend in Napa. I called ahead to see if they could accommodate us without a reservation and I spoke with Johnny who even decided to give us a tour of the cave. Everyone here was very friendly and the cave was so fun! Wine was delicious of course. We are so glad we stopped here! I highly recommend them. Ask for Johnny!

We toured Fairwinds with Platypus Wine Tours and were hosted by Kimball. Kimball was very knowledgeable. The selection of wines was varied and delicious. I enjoyed the Rosé best. We ate lunch in the wine cave and couldn't have asked for better ambiance! Fairwinds is definitely worth a stop.

A bunch of my friends went to Fairwinds for their Harvest Dinner, from beginning to end it was a beautiful experience. We had our first tasting in the tasting room. The gentleman behind the bar was super knowledgeable and explained all of the wines we were going to taste over the evening. We then took our glasses of wine out to the patio which boasts a beautiful view of Calistoga. It was a bit chilly but if it was not I could definitely see myself enjoying the scenery and relaxing. As we headed into the wine cave I was in awe! These big beautiful doors opened that led us into many rooms. We got to see the bottling room as well as the fermentation rooms. As you walk through the caves you feel transported into a different world. It is very romantic to wonder around with wine. When we got to the center of the cave we were greeting by a great band and a beautiful dining room that was candle lit and adorned with flowers. The dinner was coursed and paired with wine. The food was Devine. Before desert we went out to see the view from the other side of the cave and it was beautiful. Over looked wineries and mountains. You will NOT be disappointed at Fairwinds. I used to work at a winery in Upstate NY, so I'm quite familiar with wineries. This experience is a must if you are in Calistoga. We will definitely be there again.

Amazing experience at fairwinds estate. We felt like one of the family as Rosie showed us around the caves and grounds. She was amazing!

Cannot say enough praise for our personal tour and experience with Rosie at fairwinds. We never felt rushed, could've spent our whole day there. We loved that we were given options on where to have our tasting and charcuterie. Cave, olive grove, terrace or tasting room. We opted for the caves. First class all the way! We certainly will be back to this hidden gem!

She was fun, informative, energetic, great sense of humor and quite knowledgeable about the wines and the history of the castle. Her energy made the tasting! I will be honest, I was hoping the wines would have been better but the experience completely made up for it, and then some. I expected the Cabernet Sauvignon to be big and bold as these are the flavors of Calistoga and Napa Valley. That said, we enjoyed the Chardonnay Reserve, Sangiovese and Serata, which is a blend of reds. Also enjoyed the La Fantasia. We left the castle all smiling and chatting about how wonderful and fun our host, Riddhi, was and even spoke with her on the way out. She is a gem. We all enjoyed the experience and the tasting. Thank you Riddhi, for a great time and your warm sense of humor and hospitality!

Even after multiple visits, walking through the castle still feels like stepping into Europe. From the moat and drawbridge to the underground cellars, the entire property captures the atmosphere of a medieval Italian castle, making it well worth the visit even before the wine tasting begins. The highlight of every visit is still my favorite wine, La Fantasia. This lightly sparkling Italian-style rosé is sweet, refreshing, and incredibly easy to drink. It offers bright notes of strawberry, raspberry, and mixed berries, balanced by a gentle fizz that keeps it from feeling overly sweet. It's the kind of wine that both casual wine drinkers and enthusiasts can enjoy. Served chilled, it's especially refreshing on a warm Napa afternoon and pairs wonderfully with desserts or simply as a relaxing treat on its own. Beyond La Fantasia, the winery consistently produces excellent wines across its portfolio. One of the perks of being a member is having access to exclusive releases and special tastings that aren't always available to the public. The staff is knowledgeable, welcoming, and never pushy, which makes every visit enjoyable and relaxed. There are countless wineries in Napa, but few combine architecture, atmosphere, and wine quite as successfully as Castello di Amorosa. Whether it's your first trip to Napa or your tenth, this is a place worth returning to again and again. And somehow, I never seem to leave without bringing a few bottles home.

Romeo holds a special place in our hearts because we visited them a little over seven years ago. During that experience (which you can read about in my previous review - if interested), my wife and I had a grand experience with former Business Manager Emma, who administered the delicious tastings. Fast forward to the present, we looked forward to enjoying a glass of their finest red before finding lunch. Upon entering the walkway, we were enthusiastically greeted by an employee named John who quickly ushered us to a vacant table for two. My wife had a slight reaction to the beautiful flowers that were in full bloom. Out of the kindness of his heart, John provided my wife with a bottle of Pure Leaf tea that calmed her allergies. We told John that we were interested in enjoying a glass of red, in which he quickly ran off and returned with a bottle of 2009 Eugenia Cabernet Sauvignon. Upon doing the swirl and sniff test (sounds dirty doesn't it?), I knew that we were in for a treat. Since we were both in dire need of a meal, we sadly could not continue the party. However, we will make a return visit in the near future to enjoy a full tasting experience!

My girlfriends and I shared a tasting and ended up purchasing $250 worth of wine, so both tasting fees were removed. We left with some fantastic bottles and felt like we received great value. A cozy tasting room, with intimate seating and a really fun selection of wine unlike anything I've ever had. I see a couple of reviews here complaining about party size limits and the timing of final tastings. I unfortunately witnessed the same level of entitlement from a group of 13 people who came in asking to be seated 45 min before closing. First, read the web site. Tasting room rules and requirements have been changing since COVID. This should be nothing new. It was kindly explained to the large group that the tasting room was full, that they only accept small parties, and the last tasting is at 4 pm. Once, that detail was explained to one person in the group, another would ask the same questions and would receive the same answer. Hannah politely declined THREE DIFFERENT PEOPLE in the group before their final entitled and 'intimidating tactic': asking Hannah or Alyssa if they were the owners (they are not). The woman declared "we're all business owners and we wouldn't turn away a party of 13 people that could bring money into our business". Good for you, 'Susan'! Tank employees are purely following their business policy, which is clearly stated on their web site and don't run your business. Her final intimidation tactic was to ask for the owner's information-- which she didn't take--and the group finally left. Good riddance. Tank is NOT the winery for you, Other than the experience of yet another group of entitled wypipo ruining the tasting experience of those of us already there, we had a wonderful experience, bought a membership, and will be back again. This is the atmosphere and environment that my partner and I enjoy with the types of kind and knowledgeable employees we love who will smile through all types of garbage shoveled at them with no problem. If folks complaining about arbitrary things had othered to look at the website for specifics, perhaps they'd move on instead of trying to intimidate their way into another situation

The rose was my favorite. I was talking to the owner and he mentioned that he prefers to be out making wine instead of pouring and I can see that. Also, the pours were very tiny.
