Went here to get my oil changed. The service was fairly quick, nothing super impressive here. The prices seemed a little high, but I would likely return. When I returned to my car I was happy to see a thank you flower on my dashboard. I also appreciated the honesty. They will tell you exactly what your vehicle needs and what can wait. They also have a great loyalty deal, buy 3 oil changes and the 4th is free. ***Update*** I LOVE this place. I wouldn't take my car anywhere else. If you can speak with the blonde older man, jump on it. He is my favorite so honest, friendly, and quick. read more

1-Star Review for Mark's Extremely Disappointed -- Would Not Recommend I brought my vehicle to Mark's because I was experiencing an electrical issue and needed the problem properly diagnosed and repaired. Unfortunately, my experience with this shop was extremely frustrating and concerning. My vehicle was kept at the shop for approximately two to three weeks, which was already a significant amount of time. During that period, I was told that my alternator was bad and was presented with an additional, substantial repair cost. However, I did not bring my vehicle in because of an alternator problem, and I had not been experiencing issues that indicated my alternator needed to be replaced. I was very concerned about being asked to pay a large amount of money for a repair that, based on my experience with the vehicle, did not address the problem I originally brought it in for. What made the situation even worse was the condition in which my vehicle was left. Wiring was left exposed, creating a serious safety concern. At one point, I was concerned that I could be shocked while dealing with the exposed wiring. The bottom portion of my vehicle was also left hanging down and dragging on the ground, which is unacceptable and potentially dangerous. The shop also disassembled my battery and did not put everything back together. At that point, I wasn't even asking them to continue repairing my vehicle. I simply wanted my vehicle put back together so that I could take it elsewhere and have another mechanic properly diagnose the original problem. I was extremely disappointed that this basic request was refused. I have called the shop multiple times and repeatedly requested to speak with the manager or owner because I wanted an opportunity to discuss what happened and get the situation resolved. Each time, I was told that the manager or owner was unavailable. I have yet to receive the level of communication or accountability I expected. I am especially disappointed because I went to a professional automotive repair shop expecting my vehicle to be handled with care and returned to me in a safe, reasonable condition. Instead, I was left with additional concerns about the condition of my vehicle, unresolved issues, and difficulty getting someone in management to address my concerns. Based on my personal experience, I would not recommend this shop. I strongly encourage anyone considering using this business to ask detailed questions about the diagnosis, get the proposed repairs and costs in writing, and thoroughly inspect their vehicle before accepting it back. As a woman and a mother, I also want other women--especially those who may not have extensive automotive knowledge--to feel comfortable asking questions, getting a second opinion, and making sure they're only paying for repairs that are actually necessary. This was my personal experience with this shop, and unfortunately, it was not a positive one. They refuse to put the wiring back up the way they found it put the side panel back on my truck secure my battery so it wouldn't be falling all over and putting the bottom of my car back the way it was they clearly said that they will not do it. Shotty service. Horrible inspections, do not have any DOT inspections done here or equipment serviced. Had to bring my trucks back and forth multiple times after it was "ready" only to show up and it not be finished. Not once or twice, multiple multiple times. Had a DOT inspection done, passed, inspected it myself and found multiple out of service violations. Their excuse was the kid who did the inspection was still learning? So no one is apparently teaching him or checking his work since he's clearly inexperienced. And yet they'll still charge you full price for it. Took a truck here for no a/c FOUR TIMES, charged for new parts i didn't need and it still wasn't fixed. Took it to Ravenel truck and equipment, they had me fixed and turned around same day. Was told it would be 150 or less for an inspection of my car, end up charging me 157$. Gave an absolute ridiculous quote off 4400$, when I said I was good they deleted everything, so I got no information of what was wrong with my car other than what I told them. complete rip off. Alpha Transmission looked at my car for free and quoted me for 2000 all parts and labor. These people are rip offs, don't even waste your time going here, even dealerships rarely charge over 100 to look at your car and they actually do their job. read more

I've used Marks for a family member and after Toyota told me they couldn't fix my tire and that it has to be replaced I looked for another opinion, not only did Marks fix my tire and not charge me, it was done on the spot so I could get back to work. I've waited 2hrs for my truck to be pulled in for an oil change that was going to take 15 minutes in and out. That's pretty ridiculous.

Be very careful going here, we brought a work truck in and got a quote for $900. Thought that was high, took it somewhere else, $100. I have now heard that they have bragged about making lots of money off the nearby airbase. I will be avoiding this place at all costs. read more

I went to this place because I was hearing a loud grinding noise while I was driving. I assumed that my brakes pads were down to metal on metal and brought my van into Marks. I explained to them what was going on with my vehicle and told them that I thought it was the brakes making this noise and that I was also concerned that the rotors might be bad. They were getting ready to close at the time I came in, so they said to me that they did not have time to work on my vehicle until after the weekend on Monday. They told me however that they would be happy to at least take a look at my wheels before closing to see what was going on with my vehicle. So they went outside with me, laid down next to my vehicle (on the driver's side) and said that my rotor on this side was most certainly bad. He then went on and explained to me that all the brakes and rotors would need to be changed because damage like this will affect your whole braking system. When I asked him how much all this would cost, he quoted me at $3000 dollars. Needless to say, I was suspicious that he was able to determine all of this without even raising my van up on a lift and removing any of my tires. Also the quote of $3000 dollars seem just A BIT STEEP to me! So I called my father-in-law who just happens to be a car mechanic by trade and he confirmed to me that they were full of shit. The next step for me was to call Gerald's tires and get a quote from them. At first, I had them quote me what it would cost to have my brakes replaced on the front and back and to have all 4 of my rotors changed as well. There quote was some ware around $160 with an additional $56 dollars per each rotor. So even if I had to change all 4 rotors, the cost to me would have been around $2600 dollars cheaper than what I was quoted at Marks. However this was not the case. As it turns out there was nothing wrong with any of my rotors or any of my brakes. The problem was that the wheel bearings for my driver's side wheel were completely shot. The grinding noise that I was hearing was actually the sound of my wheel well grinding against my axle shaft. I had to get both my axle shaft and spindle assembly replaced due to the damage which came to a total of $344.64 (Still, over $2650 dollars less than my original quote from Marks). So the moral of the story is, Avoid Marks Service Center unless you like getting ripped off. For these assholes, one star was too generous! read more

I love these guys! I moved to Mount P and still make the trek to go to them! They have done work on my Jeep about 8 or 9 times over 5 years. If they fix a problem and it turns out it was not the correct fix they NEVER charge me for the real fix no matter how expensive it is. If they got it "wrong" (some problems are a guessing game) they never charge me the second time. They are easy to work with, fast, and trust worthy. I won't go to anyone else! read more
