went in for a front end alignment and oil change, Midas does a free vehicle inspection, I was told after looking over vehicle that i had an exhaust leak they would have to remove left side exhaust manifold ($410.18 ) replace rear main seal ( $1,676.20 ) replace drums and rear brake shoes ( $994.61) rear main bearing seal ( $95 ) replace upper control arms ( $688.46 ) I informed the sales rep i would not be able to have service done at this time. After getting home i called my long time family mechanic and asked him if i could get a second opinion on these repairs. After his inspection he found nothing wrong with any of these issues the only thing he found was a leaky steering wheel pump which was not found when inspection was done even though i was charged $59.99 for a steering and suspension evaluation . I don't know if someone was trying to make them self look good or they need some training but this was my first and last visit to Midas. I made the appointment request online, requesting the $20 off oil change special. They emailed me the next day with my appointment time, I showed up and they took my car in quick, and I was leaving in less than an hour. The person working the service desk was very nice. They are currently under construction, but they have a trailer for the waiting area now with AC and heat. I'll be returning for future oil changes and minor work I need done on my car. read more

Customer service is lacking. Brought my car if brakes. Explained my back brakes were squeaking, I was assured they would do a complete brake inspection, was quoted 500 and some dollars for repairs. Waited 3 hours towards the end of the day. It did take time for the parts to arrive, but once they did. I sat and watched the tech talk and hangout in the garage like he didn't have a job to do before fixing my front brakes. Once the front brakes were done, that was it. They did not check and verify the repairs they just made. So, I am in the same position as when I brought my car in. My back brakes are still squeaking. Came in on a $20 promotion to get my oil changed. They changed the oil and Im at the register and the guy tells me it will be over $60 for the oil change. I said how come you didnt tell me that when I told you I had a coupon for $20? He said it would have been $80 but he went ahead and took $20 off the price. I argued for a bit because that is NOT what the coupon said but after waiting over 2 hours for a oil change I was ready to get the hell out of there. Pus the couon said that they would rotate my tires for free. When I mentioned if they did the tires the service tech gave some lame exuse to why they could not do it. This place is only concerned about making money and could care less about the customers! Also I specifically told them NOT to put synthetic oil in my car. Guess what they did? Buyer beware. They will rape you over the labor cost. I dropped my car off four four tires and to have the brakes checked. The customer service was great, but when i came to collect my car they originally wanted 1700 dollars for four new tires and two brake rotor resurfacing, two pads, and an alignment. I quickly caught that the tires were quoted around 85 a piece were ringing up as 197 a piece. They quickly and rightfully rectified but i am still paying 500 dollars in labor fees? Why am i paying labor for tires and labor for brakes and resurfacing, when in order to even do the brakes you would have to take the tires off anyway? Most shops charge an hourly labor fee, not an itemized labor fee. I would have saved money by going to my dealer instead. Lesson learned and i will forever never recommend Midas. read more

The gentleman took me out to my car to show me what was wrong and explained it to me without talking down to me or getting annoyed. Needless to say, I did have to stay there for a few hours. But! A year after my first review, I still harbor an intense distaste for this rip-off of a company. The lower valence that they had to screw back on has now chipped off in at least one place, about a foot long; the part of it that's still connected very frequently comes loose and drags across the road if I go higher than about 50MPH, which is super convenient for commuting to work down I-26 every day. I pulled into this location an hour before closing time and there were 2 vehicles in the bays and no other customers were waiting. When I walked in, the gentleman was friendly and personable and asked how he could help me. I said I needed an oil change. He told me it was too close to closing time and he was unable to provide an oil change for my vehicle. When I looked at him with a bewildered look, he then followed it up with he didn't have a technician available to perform the oil change on my vehicle and the techs that were available were already working on other vehicles. If he knew he didn't have any techs to work on any more vehicles even though it was an hour before their shop was supposed to close, he should have just turned on the 'closed' sign and not keep the doors open to waste people's time going in there just to be turned away. read more

I've been getting my vehicles serviced at this location for 2 years. They're very professional, friendly, and fast.

They replaced a radiator for us and charged us $1200 (Firestone would have charged us at least 1/3 less) Three weeks later I went in for an oil change and they said that the heater hoses and coolant hoses needed to be replaced (estimate was $2200) because we were still leaking anti freeze. I took the vehicle to firestone and they told me that the new radiator was leaking but all of the hoses were fine. Stay far far away read more

I brought in a coupon that included a four tire rotation with an oil change for $25 and after the work was done they claimed they did not do the tire rotation because I did not ask for the tire rotation when it was specifically printed on the coupon I handed the manager for service. My tail light went out on my vehicle and I stopped by on my way in from work to try and get it replaced. When I arrived, all the bays being full so I asked if it would be best for me to come back another time but the gentleman at counter offered to come outside and check out my car. I cannot say enough about the level of customer service these gentlemen displayed. I was 3 hours from home 30 minutes before they closed for the day when I drove up. I had picked up a screw in one of my tires. I asked if they had time to plug it since the Jeep dealer across the street said they were done for the day and couldn't even look at it even though they closed at 6 and I walked in there at 5. Not to mention it was a new Jeep less than 6 months old with full tire protection. They couldn't get to until the next day. The extremely helpful team at Midas asked if I had a spare. I said yes. They pulled it in changed the tire and wouldn't accept any payment at all!! They were just happy to help me get home to my family.
