    Their own mug!

When travelling around the US on business, I avoid the ubiquitous "breakfast included" at the hotel and always hunt down a locally owned breakfast place. Seems obvious, but considering how packed the free breakfast usually is, not many share my sentiments. Jillaney's is one of those gems of a place that I find infrequently. Friendly folk, packed with locals, everyone seems to know everyone else. They greet customers by name, Nd even remember their orders. Being my first time here, I was greeted with a smile, and attentive but not obtrusive service. But as I type this review, they left me alone. Food was excellent. Eggs easy over was PERFECT. The whites were soft yet set. Yolks unctuously runny, and just enough sear on both sides. More rare than you would imagine! Another solid 5 stars. Great price too!!

Does one eat dinner in a breakfast/luncheonette? Normally a "no" answer would be apropos. We decided on the contrary to have an inexpensive meal cuz we weren't that hungry. This place is super clean. It must have been recently remodeled. The prices are very reasonable. We both had split pea soup. Excellent home-made soup with a LOT of ham, yes a lot. A bowl, not a cup, for $3.50. We also both had Jillaney's chicken, grilled chicken breast, mozzarella, and roasted peppers $6.50. Again excellent. All this was served by Amanda Very clean restroom. When in Keansburg try this luncheonette. You won't be disappointed. They say their breakfasts are great.

    Great place for breakfast!!

This is a classic neighborhood breakfast joint. The fare is the standard breakfast offerings (pancakes, eggs, sausage, bacon, etc.) done skillfully in a homey atmosphere. Sitting at the counter watching your breakfast come together is entertaining as is the banter among the staff.

My husband & I time visiting the restaurant. Pleasant atmosphere, good prices, large portions. Had the opportunity to speak to Jill, the owner who was friendly & willing to chat with customers. Will be returning!!

The location is convenient with ample parking. Inside is a clean cozy atmosphere and the menu is typical beeakfast/lunch food. Once inside, it took a while before we were acknowledged. The person who took our order didnt greet us before asking what we liked, no biggie. Im not a big breakfast food person so I decided on a grilled cheese on rye with a side of homefries. The wait wasn't long, other staff were friendly and chatted us up. I was not impressed with the food...the grilled cheese seemed to be slathered in mayo, it wasn't crispy or golden...it was actually soggy. I couldn't even eat it. The homefries were OK. Overall, not impressed...my husband loved his meal though. If I do go back def won't have the grilled cheese.

This place is awesome! They actually use fresh berries on their French toast instead of that frozen-thawed crap.

We arrived early and had no problem finding a seat, but this place gets busy fast. If you're planning a later visit, I definitely recommend joining the waitlist ahead of time. Turning Point has earned a loyal following throughout New Jersey for its fresh, made-from-scratch breakfast and brunch menu, quality ingredients, and excellent coffee selection. It's easy to see why it's become a favorite destination for breakfast lovers. We kicked off our meal with mimosas (yes, it's BYOB, so bring your favorite bottle of champagne!). As a coffee fanatic, I couldn't pass up their Hawaiian Kona Blend French Press coffee. Ever since my first trip to Hawaii, Kona has been my favorite coffee, and Turning Point does it right. Each pot is ground to order, brewed with purified water, and brought to your table to finish steeping. When you're ready, you slowly press the stainless steel filter, releasing the rich flavors, aromatic oils, and smooth crema. Every sip is bold, incredibly smooth, and packed with flavor. If you're a coffee lover, this is an absolute must. For breakfast, we ordered: Breakfast Combo - Two slices of thick-cut French toast, two eggs over easy, and a side of their refreshing citrus-dressed mixed greens. The French toast was light, fluffy, and perfectly golden, making for a classic breakfast done exceptionally well. Nantucket Benedict - A toasted English muffin topped with generous chunks of cracked lobster, plum potatoes, thick-cut smoked bacon, fresh avocado slices, and finished with a bright lemon-cilantro hollandaise sauce. It was an incredible combination of flavors that balanced richness with freshness in every bite. Everything that came to the table was absolutely mouthwatering. Honestly, the photos don't do these dishes justice--you have to experience them for yourself. A special shoutout to our server, Adam, who was outstanding. He was friendly, attentive, and constantly checked in to make sure we had everything we needed without ever being intrusive. From the delicious food and exceptional coffee to the outstanding service and relaxing outdoor seating, Turning Point in Holmdel delivered an outstanding breakfast experience. If you're looking for one of the best breakfast and brunch spots in the area, this one should absolutely be on your list.

The weather was gorgeous so we were able to sit outside, and luckily we got seated right away even without a reservation. My husband and I usually go the route of splitting the breakfast combo, so we get a sweet and savory item (and the bill is lower than if we each got our own entrees). We got the breakfast combo and just added a side of sourdough toast and avocado. Only $2 charge for the avocado side which was nice! Everything was decent, but I've definitely had better brunch in the area, which is why it's 4 stars instead of 5.

On top of that, the diner is always busy and the well organized and efficient management team as well as the kitchen and waitstaff teams keep the "customer experience" moving at a calm and reasonable pace! We have never waited more than 10 minutes for a table. Their menus are unlike the usual New Jersey diner menus which are very similar with voluminous pages of every imaginable food category and style. This type of menu requires most items to be delivered to the restaurant packaged frozen (NOT FRESH) and prepared for serving! As a retired food service professional, I've noticed that over years, NMD has perfected their menu to ensure freshness by offering a curated selection of customer favorites and Daily Specials with many specials including soup OR salad and small desert like ice cream or pudding. Next time you are in the area or on your way to or from The Jersey Shore. We highly recommend NMD!
