Portions were generous without being over the top, and everything we tried was good. My son got the French toast special which comes with 2 eggs, 2 bacon. Sausage and hash browns. He took on the challenge and tried to finish the plate but he simply couldn't. It's the kind of place that feels familiar, even if it's your first time there. Hubs and I were looking for a breakfast place to go to that we haven't been and we found this place through Yelp. After reading the reviews, we decided to check it out. There was a slight wait when we arrived , but we got seated almost immediately. Hubs ordered the Englishtown skillet, which has peppers, onion, potatoes, mushroom, broccoli, scramble, cheddar jack cheese. He said that this is one of the better skillets that he's had so far. It isn't frozen potatoes tossed in there. Hubs said that they put in so many vegetables that he didn't know what kind of potatoes they used. He was very happy with it. LOL. I ordered the 3 Golden brown griddle cakes with 2 eggs over easy. I liked it and this is my usual go to. But, hubs thought that it could be a little bit better. Service was quick and friendly. Reuben was perfect. Proper bread, proper meat to cheese to kraut to sauce ratios, just excellent. Bacon egg and cheese on an everything bagel was only disappointing because the bagel felt like it was steamed and almost wet- no crunch at all. Been here multiple times, place always has great service with a friendly smile. Two things you must try is the Chorizo Benedict and the Mexican Panini. The chorizo here is sooo good. Service was spot on and with a smiling face! Homemade hot sauce was yummy on the Mexican omelet (ham, onion, jalapeño, cheddar cheese). Chocolate chip waffle (in and on) was a big hit with my son. He said the perfect waffle. My omelet was perfect, too! Hubby had the chorizo, egg Benedict. Hit for the family! People were coming in and out the whole time for eating in and take out orders. This super cozy spot is right next to a Gym in a large shopping center. It's smack dab in the middle of the short corner and if you BLINK, you'll miss it! The space is open and warm, our waitress, Michelle, was so kind! Her smile came through the mask! We took a bottle of champagne for Mimosas, and we were all set! I got a loaded omelette! Unbelievable. When my husband and I moved here, we felt right at home when we discovered this hidden gym. Waitress is a sweetheart. We go twice a month on Fridays for breakfast while the little guy is in preschool. The best French toast and coffee. Love it. Reminds me of growing up in Brooklyn. read more
