    Salmon Piccata

Hey sista, go sista, soul sista, flow sista! I love little gems where you can have some good food, good vibes and great company! My sugar sugar came by my job and we decided to hang out locally until traffic died down. We actually were looking for another restaurant and realized it wasn't there. He recommended this spot in the same area. For some of y'all this may be a normal place to go but for me it was my first experience and I was excited! My hot date and I have a tradition of trying espresso martinis wherever we go. So of course we ordered those. He got the veggie burger and I got the chicken piccata - subbed the chicken for salmon. The waitress recommended to have it blackened. So glad I did!! The salmon was a great cut and seasoned and cooked to perfection! The noodles with the lemon and capers were amazing. It came with a side of arugula salad that was tasty, especially with the generous amount of shaved Parmesan on top! Sugar sugar's burger was good and his fries were yummy!! Service was great from our host, to the waitress, to the people who brought our martinis and dinner out. The weather was fantastic so sitting outside was definitely a treat. I'll be back for sure for that salmon piccata and asking for that espresso martini ya-ya da-da!!!

Update: This place used to be our fave, like literally would be there often because when my husband and I first tried the food after watching the movie I fell in love with it. The next time we came back with kids, we order Chicken Piccata, Baja Cioppino, Lobster & Shrimp Linguine and the Garlic Shrimp Linguine However, the last time we ordered here for "to go" to celebrate my son's 7th bday, I was very disappointed. We had the same food since it was our fave and the pastas doeasn't have any tase at all like bland and dry. Noodles were under cook. The Cioppino was very watery. The quality change and since the. We never came back. I will bring our business to Lure Fishhouse instead. Servicenis okay, staff werent friendly. One time we went to eat there I made a reservations and when I was at the receptio. There were 2 white young girls that was literally ignoring me even though they saw me already and they just kept talking to each other. I felt like we are not welcome by them at this place. Ambience is what I love here, and the location

Extensive menu with lots of delicious looking dishes. We ordered what our server suggested and all were very good. Nice and friendly staff. Will definitely come again if in the area.

Coming to the Calabasas Commons is a tradition for us as we drive up the California coast. We always stop by Marmalade Café to enjoy the great service and beautiful scenery. The turtles out front are such an awesome touch--and yes, they definitely travel outside of the pond! I'm a sucker for bread, so anywhere that serves good bread is an automatic win for me. This place is truly a must-try. I had the eggs Benedict, which were perfectly poached and full of flavor. The potatoes were seasoned with the perfect amount of savory spices. They were also able to cater to my gluten-free and dairy-free sister, which is always a huge plus. And the Luxe Bagel was so refreshing. I can't wait to come back because Marmalade Café never disappoints. As you can see, we are always happy to be here!

This trip to gain weight didn't start out great, but my last few meals have been delicious. This.... was exquisite. The ambiance is essentially a relaxed, somewhat higher class, brunch setting. There are fountains outside, and a full service bar. My mom and I dressed business casual in preparation. For some reason, the salmon Benedict comes with three poached eggs, not two...and NOT complaining. The English muffins stayed crispy.... something restaurants don't often get correct...and the salmon was perfectly smoked. My potatoes were perfectly cooked as well. Mom enjoyed her banana French toast as well ..and her eggs were scrambled to her liking My inner child quite enjoyed his hot chocolate. For a fancy, but perfectly delicious breakfast/brunch..... I would highly recommend

I came here a couple weeks ago and decided to try the lobster tacos. I also ordered the calamari and the beef tacos. Everything was delicious, but the lobster tacos were definitely the my fav. The sauce was great, the spice level was perfect, and the flavors were amazing. The service was also great. I've been here before but this was my first time trying the tacos and they definitely did not disappoint.

New Years Day - seated right away for brunch and had a perfect meal. While it's a bit loud in here with all the conversation, it feels warm and comfortable, and the food was on point. While we were waiting, we had fresh baked sourdough that was crisp on the outside and steaming and soft on the inside. I had the Gilson's 3-egg avocado, bacon, and cheddar scramble with a mushroom bisque side. Super tasty. My guy had French toast with berry and banana and (blueberries and strawberries). Robert was our server and he was super nice and made sure we never lacked for anything. Perfect way to start the new year!

The marmalade cafe is my favorite place to come for a nice drink and chat with the nicest bartender ever. He is so attentive and makes the best lemon drops! I have been here at least every other month and it is always consistent and delicious. Shout out to the bartender for providing the best service I have had in a long time. He needs a raise! Will definitely be back.

If you want to spend $24 for a breakfast bagel, and old salad, go there. They brought butter and jelly, but when we asked for bread, they said it is 10:30 am, and we have bread at basket at 11:00 am? So I am supposed to seat another 30 min for bread with my breakfast?! Server was very nice, ambiance is good at Calabasas Commons, so credit goes to Commons. Table was wet and dirty. We had to ask them to clean it. We spent around $30-35 per person for a very ordinary breakfast plates. I will not go back.

Great service- our server was very friendly and ended up bringing out a scoop of ice cream after my friend brought up it was my birthday (so sweet). I ordered the Cross Creek breakfast which includes pancakes, eggs and bacon. Everything was great and I ended up taking the pancakes home since it was a lot of food. Ambiance is nice, it was pretty full around 10am. There are lots of stores nearby to shop at if you want to stick around longer.

My mom and I had brunch here this morning and I can't stop thinking about the fried chicken and waffles. I love that the waffles were cut in quarters and were served with maple syrup and a side of bacon chutney. The chutney is one of the most delicious things I've tasted in a long time. At one point I was eating the chutney by itself. The boneless chicken breast was cooked perfectly and the waffles were very light and crispy. I'm dreaming about coming back to have this very same breakfast again. Service was very good and the ambience is typical of all the Marmalade cafés.

    What's on menu for lunch?

Everything that they offer for dinner ,,, from appetizers, soups (and they have like seven to choose from), salads, burgers and sandwiches and tacos, etc. I believe the breakfast menu is also available during lunch. Good Happy Hour from 3-6 pm as…

Is the lunch menu (not brunch) served on Sunday?

    Yes, they typically are flexible.

Do you always have to wait 20 minutes for your 1st drink when you sit outside?

The moment my daughter and I sat down outside, the server took our order and she was back within 10 minutes or less with our drinks. We ordered champagne and my only complaint was that it wasn’t cold. Otherwise, excellent food, excellent service.…

Is there a kids option for dinner?

    Yea!!!

Is the patio open for dine-in lunch or dinner?

YES! As of July 3 the patio is open for dine in.

Is it possible to bring a bottle but put it in your bag and drink it sneakily to avoid corkage?

No. This is a nice environment with good food and service. Pay for your wine or pay the corkage fee. If you want to be cheap, go somewhere that doesn't charge.

    What is the corkage fee?

    $15 per bottle.

Would I be allowed to study here if I ordered something?

We never put a time expectancy on any of our guests. You’re welcome to stay as long as you’re comfortable.

What are the brunch hours? :)

Weekend Brunch is from 8am to 3pm.

What are the Sunday brunch hours?

Our brunch hours are from 8am to 3pm.

I'd argue it was the same for some people going inside to stand and watch. We left on the first water break to go back home and watch the game. I just wanted to actually see the ball and the players. Mind you we saw the Mexico v England game here, but it was inside, next to some wonderful Mexico fans. Screen clearly visible. Service always fantastic. All that's good. This patio experience was the polar opposite for not actually having a visible screen.

Manager Mario made it easy to reserve a spot for 30 people, events manager Cheryl made it easy to review and select platters of appetizers, and our dedicated server, Cassie, deftly handled drink orders and special requests with a smile and a perfect personality. I must admit that I haven't eaten at Sagebrush in quite a while -- our recent visits have been later in the evening to have drinks and listen to the bands they have on their outdoor stage -- so I was glad to be reminded that many of the menu items really are top notch. Guacamole was a very pleasant surprise, with plenty of avocado flavor, a touch of garlic, and just enough hidden heat to make you notice it for the really enjoyable snack it once was before becoming the city's most ubiquitous condiment. Chicken wings were meaty and crispy, with a very spicy sauce that everyone really enjoyed, while the cheese quesadilla (for our vegetarian friends) was given a lovely presentation despite its plainness, and tasted quite good. But the real star of the table was the BBQ Brisket Taquitos. Now, while they call them taquitos, these are much, much bigger than what you would expect; more like chimichangas. Big flour tortillas packed with brisket and deep fried, then sliced into snack-friendly pieces and served with BBQ sauce for dipping. There are no unnecessary adornments here, the filling is all Brisket, which had a deep smoky flavor and was lightly melded with a thankfully-bespoke barbecue sauce that added a touch of sweet and spice without becoming cloying. So, extra kudos to the kitchen for making food that doesn't taste like everything you get everywhere else. Aside from the obvious conclusion (it's a great place to host a party!), this was a terrific reminder to stop in for a regular meal, to enjoy what the kitchen is doing, and to enjoy some time in a fun and festive place that knows how to take good care of their guests.
