    Indoor pool

We were debating on this location versus a location closer to NY because this location for 2 days saved us a good $150 which is significant. At the end we are so happy with the decision. Hotel is a little old but they're in the midst of renovations so don't expect luxury rooms. Beds are comfy and room was spacious but not much counter space in the bathroom. Beautiful indoor pool and surprisingly large gym. They have complimentary water bottles and wired headsets in the gym. Ice makers are pretty far towards the back of the building behind the pool. 1st floor was out of order but I didn't mind the hike since there was a nice view of the pool. Concierge lobby is on the 3rd floor. They also have complimentary coffee and tea in the mornings in the lobby. Overall it was a pleasant stay.

We stayed at Marriott Saddle Brook for two days with our family, and while the overall experience was negative, the room was terrible. There was a strong, unpleasant smell due to humidity, and we couldn't handle it. We ended up leaving the hotel in the middle of the night first day. Make sure to check the room before settling in to ensure it's clean and has a fresh scent.

I am not a Marriott guy, but thought I would try the. Out for 2022 as I have maxed out my Hilton status. Figured this would be a good one to start with as its close to the office in NJ. I am not usually a fan of the hotel restaurant but when you have no car and the only other place close is a Dunkin, you go with what you can. I went with pasta as a burger is a burger is a burger as far as I am concerned. The pasta was just the right aldented. The chicken was cubed grilled and tender. The sauce was missinga slight touch of herbs but not bad for hotel food. The atmosphere was good until the rowdy family with loud young boys entered and made it unbearable, but again it's a hotel lobby bar. The hotel it's self was nothing special nor were the rooms.

I would absolutely recommend staying in this Marriott to anyone who happens to be in the unfortunate area of Saddle Brook NJ. The area is not the greatest, but the hotel staff were an absolute life saver during our stay. They bent over backwards to accommodate us and several members in our party. The hotel is clean, though it is aged quite a bit and is need of some updates (hence the 4 stars). However, the rooms were very clean and cozy (don't expect a microwave). The beds are really, really comfortable and the shower might be the reason I stay again in the future. Super hot water, updated shower and hard pressure. Overall...Great stay!

Great job marriott for providing the smallest iron board known to man! Clothes are more wrinkled after trying to iron
    Joe A.

Not the best Marriott in the area. Biggest pet peeve for a traveling professional is using a micro table top iron board! Really Marriott!!!! Most people in this area are business men and women who have to iron clothes! Also the bathrooms are way too small no place for toiletries, and hotel construction going on all day. Breakfast was absolutely horrible! If you're in a pinch this hotel works, but go to Marriott Teaneck instead its a full service right up the street

I have been staying in this hotel probably 3 to 5 times a year for the past many years. As I said…read morein previous reviews, I like that for the location they have free parking. I have always stayed in a king room on the lower floors because the top floors are pricier executive kings. I know that the executive rooms have refrigerators and microwaves, but I expected them to also be a little nicer than the regular king rooms. Well, now I know that they are NOT. They are exactly the same size room and all they did is wheel in a fridge and pop a microwave on top of it and sit it under the lamp! I arrived at the hotel at around 2:35 on a Sunday. In all the years I've been coming here I have always been able to check into this hotel by 2:30, and as IHG member I typically request early check-in in the app. However, this time when I arrived, there were no rooms that were clean, no regular King rooms anyway... And then she said oh we don't have any clean Queen rooms either. Do you want an executive king? So I said sure, thinking that she was just gonna upgrade me to that because nothing was available. But now I was charged like an extra 40 or 50 bucks for it. And that actually annoyed me because I had gotten a really cheap rate this time because I had booked my stay about three months in advance. The other difference is the executive kings are on higher floors and they are facing in the opposite direction so instead of a view of the highway you actually do have a view of the far away New York City skyline. My volume control on my TV did not work so the volume was so low I could barely hear it. The ice machine on the ninth floor was out of ice. I will say that the beds are very comfortable in my opinion, and it is always been very quiet. This time I don't even think there was anybody on my floor. It was so quiet. The heating and cooling have always worked well in this hotel, but the hotel rooms are definitely showing where and are definitely in need of updating. The bathroom lighting is terrible if you need to do make up. Because I am IHG member I got two free bottles of water upon checking in which I always appreciate. Upon checkout when there was no ice to fill my cup for my 6 Hour Drive home I just asked if I could get another bottle of water because of the ice machine being out of ice and the girl at the front desk reminded me that usually you can get ONE free bottle of water at check-in, but she guessed I could have one. I was like for the 40 or 50 bucks extra I paid I hope I can get a freaking bottle of water. The other annoyance this time which is not surprising because the Sky restaurant does not seem to get much business...before my event I tried to go upstairs and get a burger. When I arrived on the 12th floor (which has a stunning panoramic view because the hotel is round) There were no staff people working. But this time aside from myself, there were about four other people waiting. There was a woman and her son sitting at the table and they said they've been waiting there for 15 minutes and have not seen a soul. This happened to me several times in this restaurant, but usually eventually somebody came within the first 15 minutes. I did not have time to wait this time and by the time a management person came up and said a chef was on his way I had to leave and eat elsewhere. I most likely will stay here again, but if I have another poor experience, I may end up having to finally switch hotels.

The sky restaurant was great for a cocktail and dinner, I had the chicken quesadilla starter and it was enough for my dinner. At breakfast the coffee was very good and hot. The breakfast buffet was excellent! Every day they had different dishes. Great variety. There were plenty of options for people who don't eat pork and even for vegetarians. Usually the only protein is eggs. But they also had chicken sausage, vegetarian sausage, and a yogurt bar. Of course there was the usual continental breakfast fare: waffle maker, assorted cereals, assorted breads (bagels, muffins, etc), fruit, and juices. Although there are some empty spaces at this minute I snapped some of my pictures, when one thing ran out they were quick to replenish it. And they made sure to keep food stocked until the end of breakfast (sometimes buffets start emptying things out well before closing time). This was definitely appreciated by those who came a few minutes before 10! The space for dining is a bit small. Every day except one, it was very crowded. But they do provide trays so you can take the food to your room, which I did each day. Having trays was awesome--such a small thing but made a big difference! They also have a hot drink area available all day: coffee, hot chocolate, and tea (although the flavors are basic).
