I've been vacationing here for about 20 years now. I like it a lot. It's a terrific place for families. For me it's the combination of the beach and the pools that make the trip. Like other Marriott timeshare properties it has outdoor grills so you can cook a nice meal yourself. The rooms are clean and the other resort accommodations are just fine. There is a marketplace shop that you can buy necessitates at, including breakfast foods. There is mini-golf and a small splash park for the kids. There's a kiddie pool for the very little ones plus two large hot tubs and an adult pool. Also a small gym. Definitely recommended. read more

Stayed here for 5 days 4 nights. We have a king bed with small kitchen (sink and plates etc.), no cooking surfaces. We rely on the microwave. Our balcony overlooks the parking lot. We enjoyed our room, it was simple and comfortable. Although when the AC is off, I can hear someone talking next door. I feel safe in this resort, the elevators use keycards to access floors so random people cannot enter. Same goes for the pool area and beach gate. Theres a laundry room in the building and I love that it's free. Just ask them for laundry detergent. We grabbed a quick quesadilla every morning at the market place. It's very convenient as we stayed in the dolphin building right next to the main lobby. The smoothies are good, and we just ordered uber eats meals to the lobby for pickup instead of heading out to find food. The paper said we can get our room cleaned for a fee. A lady knocked on our door to ask if we needed a cleaning so I wasn't sure if we would be charged. When we first checked into our room, I had to have an electrician come in because our table lamps and outlets did not work. That was the only issue with our room. The guy came within the hour and fixed everything. Also our towel bar fell off the wall. It's been broken, they just left it like that for I don't know how long, that's why there was no towel on it when we first came in. We spent time in the pool in the day time and at night. One inconvenience is they do not have towels by the pools so you have to bring your own from the rooms. The pools are not very cold and the hot tub is not very hot, it's warm. On a Saturday afternoon there were loungers still available for use. We didn't feel like we had to fight for one. I saw there were beach chairs for rent, 2 days costs $110. We didn't spend much time on the beach but the beach is beautiful and there's a lot of seashells scattered. I like the resort but we will probably not be returning because the food options are not suitable for us in the palm beach area. There is not much Asian food. I do recommend this resort though. We had a lovely time doing nothing but relax in the pools and sleep. read more

Dan and I have been members of Marriott's Vacation Club since 2010. Ocean Point is one of our favorite Resorts. We love almost everything about it except the difficulty finding shade. It's the same at most or maybe all resorts. Shade tends to be expensive. We enjoy Ocean Point. We have been bringing our daughters and their families to Marriott Resorts since our grandchildren were babies. We've made a lot of memories and we want our children and grandchildren to continue making memories here after we are gone. I am not sure if we can do that because we didn't create our trust before we bought points. Now it will be expensive to get the name changed on the deeds. We used to stay here quite a bit so we thought we'd try it again since we have family over there. The room was hot the entire time, no matter what we put the AC on. The pillows were flat, the blankets were army blankets- very old. The mattress was old and not comfortable at all! The toilet paper was under a sharp wood cabinet so when reaching to get toilet paper I cut my arm badly and it's still messed up 3 days later. The person at the front desk was not what you'd expect at a hotel so near the ocean and a Marriott. She was borderline rude at check in. It's so disappointing because it's so close to everything, but when the room is that hot, sleeping is difficult! The door to get in the room was so difficult to open! We stayed at Ocean Pointe the week before Memorable Day weekend and can't recommend staying there. The room definitely smelled moldy. It appeared that there was flooding in the unit because you could see water marks about 4 inches up the bottom of the bathroom door. The paint and door were peeling layers of the prefab door. There wasn't baseboard on the cabinet below the sink. We took pictures and I sent them to Marriott and we never heard back from Marriott about our poor experience with their property. The front desk staff weren't professional. The housekeeping staff mopping the floor in the lobby created a hazard at check in. This vacation club stay was a huge disappointment--I expected more from Marriott. read more

Pretty disrepair vacation resort that was under construction during our stay which took out 1/3 of the parking and left few open parking spots overnight. While glad to see building repairs/maintenance being done it didn't leave a good impression on us. The gym equipment was also not well maintained. This place is lovely and I am surprised it doesn't have at least 4.5 stars. Stayed here recently and I had a lovely 1bd villa, that was oceanside, so I was able to see the ocean from my living room and balcony. My room was clean and well stocked with everything I could need. I loved how secure everything was, as you needed your room key to gain entry into the resort as most locations. The pools seemed nice and a lot to do for the kids. This was a quick couple minute walk thru the resort and onto the beach. The beach was lovely and not very crowded. I only interacted with staff a few times and they were very accommodating. I did not eat or drink on property but they seemed to have everything you need on site. This is about 25 minutes from the Airport. I had a great stay and I will be back! read more

We planned a long weekend visit & ended up choosing this hotel because of its location since we were also in town to catch a show. We arrived late as our flight was late but it was no problem check in was very quick & easy, we got room #8615. We had a nice room, comfy bed, good toiletries to use , it also had a fridge, sink & microwave which was very helpful for us since we were able to enjoy some left overs, sat in the balcony eating & enjoying the views. There was some construction in the outside area, aside from it being loud it didn't disrupt much. Very nice pool & beach area, everything is accessible w your room key. We enjoyed our time by relaxing by the pool & beach they have a bar restaurant that was easy for grabbing lunch & drinks. They also have a little convenient store for quick, bites , coffee etc. The hotel could probably use some upgrades to the property as it seems a bit outdated. Better access to a towel area, ice machines theres nothing where u can grab a drink at night even just a vending machine. This place was very family oriented as they also do have vacation homes on the property so this may not be the best choice if u are looking to be away from kids. Marriott's Ocean Pointe is a perfect holiday retreat for families and for couples. We always take delight in seeing multi-generations using several condo units to holiday. Our advice is to reserve a two bedroom or at least a one-bedroom property. Please do not "settle" for a studio unit. Marriott's Ocean Pointe is a fantastic 12-month Marriott Vacation Club, and we are careful to emphasize "Marriott Vacation Club." Marriott offers three Ocean front properties on Singer Island in northeast Palm Beach. The "greater Palm Beach area" offers nearly 50 Marriott properties varying from Courtyard to Ritz-Carlton to Marriott Resorts to three Marriott Vacation Clubs. We observe that many guests of Marriott's Ocean Pointe are either Marriott "timeshare" owners or owners of other branded timeshares. We desperately needed a getaway from our busy lives, so we chose what we had thought looked like an oasis. The grounds are beautiful, it's true. It's well-kept and a fun place to stay. But they did not allow me to enter my room at the advertised check-in time of 4:00 PM. When I arrived at my check-in time, they informed me that my room was not ready. They told me that the previous guests had left late. But I paid full price to occupy the room from the standard check-in to check-out. The front desk said there was absolutely nothing they could do for us. No drink or snack voucher. No "I'm sorry" bag of chips. No late check-out. No upgrade. Absolutely no discount. They let us know that even though we paid for a full stay, we would not be able to actually get this full stay. It's upsetting that we are paying to enter our room at a certain time but we aren't allowed to. Very disappointing that the staff did absolutely nothing to accommodate our situation. read more

Booked this $360+ room for a Honeymoon night (Bride lives locally so we only cared for a 1 night stay). We arrived late in the evening and checkout was at 10 AM (and they would not extend the checkout time-even for a Bonvoy club member) with housekeeping knocking on our door before 10. On-property restaurants and bars were closed when we arrived. Had to checkout before we had time to enjoy ANY of the property amenities. Room was a little smaller than the typical moderately priced property, very cleverly deceptive photo's. Not an appropriate property for a 1 night honeymoon stay in any way, shape or form. On the positive side, the property was clean and well kept. To be more fair to your customers, a more accurate description of these factors should be published on your hotel and room descriptions. read more

Checked in yesterday we arrived around 11am room wasn't ready yet so we went to the pool bar, we sat at the bar wife ordered the Sunsplash. She said it was really good I had the Mai Tai was also good, we also ordered food she had the Rice Bowl and I had the chicken tacos. Both were very good but the menu said the tacos were jalapeño cilantro there was just a trace jalapeños and no cilantro so I had to ask for jalapeños and sour cream. The room is very clean bed was nice to sleep in, went to make coffee this morning and took out a coffee cup and it looked like the cleaning people never cleaned the cup. It's not cheap to goto the beach $60 for 1 day $100 for 2 days to rent 2 chair and 1 umbrella. Why doesn't Marriott have some for guests Marriott pulse In Miami has them in the room for guests and the Marriott Beach Place offered us chairs, they weren't $60 chairs but they were free and did the job I'm sure there are people that do complain they were $60 chairs. Everything coast money those that want the units upgraded say there out dated this is why it cost so much to stay, there are things that need replacing but people also need to take care of things just because it's not your doesn't mean let's destroy it is that how you live at your home. I read a review said there were drug addicts and homeless people all over, I have seen some possible homeless I don't really know if they are but they could be. But drug addicts? How would you know they were addicts, did they stop and go up to them and ask for drugs? There are homeless and addicts everywhere especially nowadays. I haven't seen anything around the resort that would make me feel uncomfortable or not safe. We have been staying at Marriott Hotels and resorts for over 20 years. Yes we have had issues a few times, a manager has taken care of the situation and if not I have wrote customer service and it was resolved. But we haven't stopped being a Marriott customers because of an issue people EXPECT to much these days like they are the only one they want someone else to do everything for them. read more

The building we stayed in was recently refreshed and very spacious and modern. We were fortunate to have windows on two sides with spectacular views. The pool area was spacious, clean and well maintained. The access to the beach was also quite convenient. Given the current times, I cannot comment on the usual action packed activities that happen at an MVCI, but I am sure they would have been great without the Covid-craziness. All in all, my expectations were far exceeded with this resort and I would highly recommend it. read more

Not a terrible place to stay but cannot recommend. The suite is very small compared to any other Marriott property (and maybe 1/3 the size of a room at residence inn). For two adults and a small child... it's a very tight fit, which is odd for a "luxury" family vacation property. No real dining on the property, no room service, tv was broken when we checked in (they fixed it), we got one small bar of soap (for hands and bathing) for a 5 day stay (had to request extra - still waiting), spent $15 on key fob bracelets that don't work on some of the doors (they refunded the cost). Pool super crowded - everything priced at luxury level despite it feeling like a discount Carnival cruise - and that's day one! The beach is great, the pools are crowded but great, and they have some okay family activities, but ultimately we wanted to be able to get away for a week and relax with no plans, and the most important part of that is having a comfortable and hassle-free place to stay. Should have gone to a Residence Inn instead. read more

We stayed here for our family vacation and we did not get a single good nights rest! The bed was so uncomfortable! It felt like a thin mattress was placed on top of a box. There were empty beer bottles behind the little couch in our bedroom and empty water bottles. The sheets were dirty with lipstick stain. The room was poorly stocked with toilet paper, towels, etc. it's also an older hotel which we typically don't go for but it is what it is. Made the most out of it. But it truly did suck waking up every morning with back pain and arm pain! read more

Checked in to Marriott's Ocean Pointe today, July 4th, 2024....easiest way to summarize the experience is complete S*its*ow. Room wasn't ready which could be expected, no issues there. Once we were notified the room was ready, we attempted to locate a parking spot. Nothing on the property was available and it took about 20 minutes of circling around to find an employee who then offered to squeeze us somewhere. We now head up to our room which should be all ready to go. We enter the room to find a nice, lovely couple occupying the room. They were also assigned the room for their stay as we were. The couple kept apologizing but it honestly wasn't their fault and we intruded on their room, so I apologized. Apparently, whoever is in charge of assigning room double booked the room, so back to the front desk we go. Finally, after an hour of going back and fourth we made it to a clean, unoccupied room. Not the tower that was requested (they said nothing was in the system stating our request), and the floor level is not what was requested. Overall, a terrible start to a vacation. Maybe it will get better, who knows. read more

First off...GOOD LUCK GETTING ANYONE ON THE PHONE AT THIS RESORT! They gave me direct numbers and no one EVER ANSWERED!! Long time Marriott Rewards (now Bonvoy) member. I've stayed in another Marriott Singer Island resort before and it still holds a spot as one of my favorite places to stay for a quick getaway. But this location...not so much. First off, I went online and specifically reserved an Ocean View room, I even asked the young lady before I walked away if my room was Ocean View and she said, "Yes, you're located here" and pointed to my room on a map. I thanked her happily. I should have been leery because the two people that were at the counter in front of me were both yelling about the quality of their rooms. But I really just wanted peace. I needed this woosahhhh moment. When I got to my room, I immediately opened the curtains and was very disappointed to see that I had a view of trees. If I stand on the railing I might be able to peek over and see a small batch of ocean but this definitely is not an ocean view room. My room was located on floor 1. So we had to take the elevator up to the first floor but since it's elevated, I thought maybe there was a glimmer of hope. No I didn't request a low floor. That's just what they gave me. I was mentally exhausted and didn't want to complain. I did call down but someone placed me on hold and never picked up again. The room is pretty dated. The kitchen cabinets look like they are the original cabinets. The carpet looks new though. Everything else, very mediocre. We also had an ant infestation in our kitchen. Again, tried to call and no one even came on the line. I sprayed them and killed them every time I saw them coming out and making trails. I think there are better rooms than the one I stayed in but I can only review based on my experience. I felt like I was staying in a cheap hotel but only while I was inside the room. The grounds are nice, the pool area nice, however, they have these buttons that you press when you wish to order food from the pool menu. I pressed my button twice and was discouraged by someone working there and told it would be better to walk over to place my order at the bar. So I did. Then I acknowledged several people arriving well after me, pushing the button and getting service immediately. Oddly, when I pushed my button no one EVER CAME OVER. I had to wave a guy down who told me to just go order at the bar! I had button number 139! I wonder why no one ever came to help me. Anywho...the beach area really nice. Covered Parking area is a bit tight to get in and out of. I don't think I would stay again if this is as good as it gets. My husband and I have friends that are vacation owners of another brand. Kinda made us consider doing it as well because we do love Marriott properties overall. We tend to stay in mostly JW's, Ritz Carltons, Renaissance, we like a certain category but I'd hate to spend the money and this is what the vacation properties look like. Not impressed at all. I wish I hadn't cleaned the ant trails before getting photos of them. Not very pleased at all. read more

This is my first time staying at this resort. I'm not a time share member and have never stayed here prior. I needed to be in Palm Beach for an event and the hotels in PB were charging insane amounts ... yes I know it's Snowbird Season. From what I've experienced the staff is top notch. Kind and go out of their way to assist you. The accommodations are mediocre but I was okay with that. I didn't need all the options this hotel offers but I appreciate they were here and I definitely recommend this resort to others. This was a beautiful hotel, the condo style buildings had a nice view of the water and it was a short walk to the amenities. There was a garage under the condos for parking, and it was all secure by gates that opened with your room card. They had fun lawn games, a few pools to choose from and some spas as well. Simple...Marriott's view of "oceanfront" is all in the pictures. I get it that it IS "technically" oceanfront, but really???? They don't care, give canned answers, and took over 24 hours to get a call saying "they don't care and can't do anything". Don't sit in a chair in the "echo chamber of a balcony" and expect to "view" the ocean. I also heard a woman literally crying in the front office, claiming she'd been coming here for 20 TWENTY years, and they gave her a truly terrible room as well. Now THAT is truly great customer service...WOW. My partner and I travel extensively and have never experienced the sub-par level of treatment we have experienced here. I had even asked for a "lesser" side view room in exchange for the "so-called' oceanfront room, and I was quickly denied. Maybe they have their rules/policies...I guess I understand that...but you should get what you pay for. This room should be less expensive than other oceanfront rooms..an oceanfront rate without real oceanfront. DO NOT expect any sort of customer appreciation/support at this location. They'd get FOUR STARS IF: their trellis arched walkway (adjacent to Pompano bldg) was LIT UP AT NIGHT. I saw my LIFE ahead of me walking in the pitch dark feeling the unknown -- scary for an out-of-state tourist. YOU NEED A FLASHLIGHT to walk this ENTIRE property at night. I'm discouraged to do so as these properties are POORLY marked(signs are not visible behind shrubbery) at night your bearings are off. NO SECURITY around that I have YET TO SEE, being day #3. The garages are well lit(only area) but DESERTED. NOT REASSURING. WONT be back because of this. NOT visitor friendly to navigate around at night. Surprised at "THe we'll known Marriott" read more
