It all started with the pork nachos, which our party of 3 ordered as an appetizer. It was piled high and dripping with ingredients... but the dish completely lacked flavor. The pork was perfectly tender but tasted flavorless (until I added hot sauce and salt). I would also recommend they serve the dish with pico de gallo or salsa to boost the flavor. We had the same feeling with the burrito bowls. Two of us ordered different burritos (opting for bowls instead of tortillas), and we both thought the flavor was just okay. And on top of that, both of our bowls were lukewarm. In fact, the entrées weren't even hot enough to melt the cheese. I wish I would have sent the food back, but we were in a bit of a hurry. Finally, my friend James ordered the Chicken Quesadilla, which he also thought was "just okay." Oh, and we noted that a table near us sent back food... so not sure what was up with that, but we we weren't surprised based on our overall experience. Final Thoughts: Prior to visiting Ranch Camp, I read plenty of reviews praising the restaurant, so I'd like to think that they were just having a bad day.

BUT there are tasty Mexican choices - always one quesadilla special and one burrito special as well as nachos! Very pleased with what we've had there. The chef seems to favor creamy white wine sauces - the added cream adds a heavy taste without adding flavor. The shrimp & sausage on mushroom ravioli had the cream sauce and cubes of sausage. The pasta primavera also had the cream sauce. It was super bland. We added chicken (see the photo of the chicken breast added to the top side of the dish not cooked in the dish). The salmon and its corresponding carrots were spiced with bebere which is very mild but not particularly enjoyable. And finally, the grilled rib-eye was bad, really bad. It was gelatinous and the worst steak we've ever had. I've only ever seen a steak cooked like this when it's cooked at too low a heat. We fed the leftover steak, chicken, and salmon to the dog.
