We came here on a Saturday night. I had last been in this building years ago...it was totally renovated and really beautiful with a warm ambiance. We were quickly seated even though we did not have reservations. The service was great, very friendly. I had the special, which was seared scallops on a bed of mashed potatoes surrounded by a variety of fresh vegetables. The dish was outstanding. Everyone else had pizza. We went to have dinner here while staying at Smugglers Notch with our 8 year old granddaughter. It didn't start out well as after 10 minutes of sitting at our table with no service, I went to the front and asked for our waitress. The hostess brought us bread after I explained my granddaughter was hungry. About 10 minutes later the waitress came to take our order. After we waited another 45 minutes without food, I asked for more bread. When the food finally came, it was not very good. I had blackened shrimp and it tasted like the shrimp was cooked and then the spices were dumped on it after cooking, my husband's fish was rubbery, and my granddaughter's chicken strips were overdone and dry. Even the fries were burned in places. After all the waiting, they charged us for the bread! I would not recommend this place! read more

First of all the place was absolutely packed so we knew it had to be good. We were not let down. My wife and I both ordered the hanger steak with the truffle porcini mushrooms - it was incredible!! One of our daughters ordered the blackened chicken which came in a light cream sauce with rigatoni, excellent. Our other daughter got the fettuccine Alfredo. It was also amazing. There are only two negatives when it comes to the family table, they are short staffed in the back of house and there is absolutely 0 organization when it comes to parking. Besides waiting for the bartender to get us drinks, we had water from the hostess upon seated which was great. They have a few drink on draft and a nice wine/cocktail menu. To start off their mussels are amazing, you get some many and there is definitely plenty for two people, make sure to get a side of bread with it the sauce is amazing to dip. Their salmon is very good has a nice rich flavor with their maple sauce, in addition their chocolate mousse is to die for, not too sweet not too bitter it is perfect. Eaten here a couple of times. The first time I had a scallop app and the scallops were bad, reeked of ammonia and when I mentioned it to the server she argued with me. I don't know how they made it past the nose of the cook. The rest of the meal was lackluster, just average. Last year I received a gift certificate and thought I would give it a try again. Sadly the service was slow (not relaxed but SLOW) went for dinner early, still plenty of parking. Had to ask several times for refills of beverages, and our dinners arrived with incorrect food. The server didn't return to the table for a bit to check in things so I went and found another server to correct our orders, by this time the others in our party were hungry and wanted to eat their dinner. Overall, a miss. Won't return again. Pricey for what you get, slow service and servers that can't get it right, or don't care. Either way, I would pass on this place. read more

Yes! Excellent dinner 9/24/23. Saturday night reservations at 5:00pm. 5 in our party (1 Granddaughter 20 months old). Seated right away. Got busy and loud around 6:15 so glad we made art reservations. We called around 2pm to make reservations and they answered even though they don't open until 4pm. That was nice. Excellent service by Tammy and the kitchen staff who helped her bring out the entree's when the were ready. We started with the vegetable spring rolls app special with sweet chili garlic sauce which was excellent and hot when served. Service of bread and butter was really nice loaf of fresh bread. I had the scallops over tomato pasta which was excellent. Very nice portion and perfectly seared scallops. Wife had the NY Strip which was very good and nice portion. It was perfectly prepared at medium rare and had a home made steak sauce on top. She enjoyed it and would definitely order it again. The decor is beautiful, it's such a nice place to visit for a meal. The food is delicious. We enjoyed the hanger steak special which was delicious and the best mashed sweet potatoes ever. The mashed potatoes were delicious and creamy as well. The kids enjoyed pizza which was a bonus considering it's not a pizzeria. The kids chicken fingers were freshly made, breaded and cooked HOT real chicken. The fries were so natural and delish. The sweet potato fries were the best I've ever had as well. And the MOJITO was perfectly made. I could've sat there all night drinking them, they were delish. The service was so friendly, kind, & helpful. We did wait nearly an hour for the hanger steak but considering everything was made fresh, I didn't question it. TL;DR: We waited through rude service for 2 hours for our dinner but the food was good. Avoid with groups over 4. Details: We had a reservation for 10 on a Wednesday night, four siblings meeting in the middle for our brother's birthday, our significant others and 2 kids in tow. Parking was non existent. We had to park down the road, and walk up the hill, which was fine but there was no way of knowing if we'd be towed or where else would have been more appropriate. Zero signage pointing to overflow parking, and the overflow was reached after less than 10 cars filled their lot. We were greeted with annoyed looks and tucked away in a corner - fine, it was a large group in a small restaurant but we'd called and made this reservation days in advance. Also zero accommodation for the cake we'd brought with us after calling to make sure this was ok. Surprise and annoyance at us actually showing up isn't necessary. Dining room was super noisy and hot with zero air flow. Our first waitress greeted us by letting us know she wouldn't be taking our food order right away. Beers took 25 min to be served. Two appetizers took over an hour and we were never, throughout the entire visit, offered more beer/drinks/refills. Ok, the kitchen is slow, but keep us busy with more drinks or updates, anything! Zero communication as to why, where, when our meals would arrive so very late. Two meals came out of the kitchen at 1hr45 min. The rest trickled out over the next 30 minutes. Other tables that arrived after us were served and finished by the time our food came out, I kid you not. And then they plain ignored us and shot us dirty looks from the bar. Zero apologies. Zero "how is the food? Do you need anything?" Zero. And I mean nothing besides bringing us the check while most of us are still eating. No offer of boxes or clearing of plates. Just a clear message they wanted us to leave. I had a pasta dish with blackened chicken and it was very good. My dad commented his fish and chips were good. My sisters ravioli looked terrible but she ate it, after it came out so much later than the rest that it clearly had been forgotten. Yikes, y'all, get your sh;t together. If you're going to take a reservation for a party of 10, be prepared to serve one. read more

In an area with few options, this one was solid. I'd go back! Everyone's food was above average, the swordfish special inspired. The pork chop was very solid, a staple on the menu. Only thing we didn't love was the truffled sausage pasta dish. It was drowned in sauce and oily, with overpowering truffles. But still 3-4 on solid dishes and pricing was reasonable. Excellent meal and service. Based on Yelp reviews and receptionist at our hotel went here for dinner on a Monday night. We were tired from a day of driving and just wanted some quick comfort food and we ordered chicken and waffles, and a pizza. Very surprised at how good the chicken and waffles were. Tasted fresh and homemade and did not resemble anything frozen or your basic chicken tenders. The pizza was also very good with a thin crust that was crispy and held up very well with the ingredients. I am a pizza snob and many pizzas get soggy when several ingredients are added. All the ingredients were very fresh and when I mentioned that to the server she said the tomatoes came from here garden. If they weren't closed on Tuesday or Wednesday I would've returned again. What a great place! We stopped for dinner a couple weeks ago and had one of the best meals we have had in a while. Greeted immediately, seated promptly, and everyone seemed to be pleasant to talk to. My wife had the filet (special) and it was cooked perfectly and plated very well. It was big enough that she had a few bites left that she took home and had the following day, and it was even good warmed up. I had the fish and chips which was also excellent. Very flaky and tasted great. service was quick, food was awesome, and everyone was pleasant to deal with. My only comment is that whisky on the rocks should not be served with several fast melting ice cubes. I understood it was a new bartender so hoping this gets back to them. read more

But after waiting 25 minutes for a waitress to take our order, we realized this was to be a 2-hour+ experience, and our tired seven year old granddaughter would not be able to hang. So we left. Absolutely amazing! My family and I are from NYC and we were just visiting smugglers notch for the weekend. We stopped by here to grab a bite and I'm so glad my fiancé took us here. I took the special of the day with filet mignon with bacon mashed potatoes and green beans along with a dirty martini. Both were surprisingly amazing - better than anything I've had in nyc. Major compliments to the chef and our waitresses. Was so good we went back the next day for the lunch menu and I got a burger and sweet potato fries with extra feta (my request) that time. Destroyed the plate two times in a row with no regrets. Dirty martini was great. My fiancé loved the sinful cider. Well done to the owner and employees overall.
