There are only two negatives when it comes to the family table, they are short staffed in the back of house and there is absolutely 0 organization when it comes to parking. Besides waiting for the bartender to get us drinks, we had water from the hostess upon seated which was great. They have a few drink on draft and a nice wine/cocktail menu. To start off their mussels are amazing, you get some many and there is definitely plenty for two people, make sure to get a side of bread with it the sauce is amazing to dip. Their salmon is very good has a nice rich flavor with their maple sauce, in addition their chocolate mousse is to die for, not too sweet not too bitter it is perfect. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone in town if you have the time. The overall place is gorgeous and makes you feel right at home.

Very modern and well kept restaurant with excellent food, menu, and service. They have daily specials and it's a very comfortable environment in a great location near access roads. Best restaurant in Jeffersonville area for a diverse menu.

Yes! Excellent dinner 9/24/23. Saturday night reservations at 5:00pm. 5 in our party (1 Granddaughter 20 months old). Seated right away. Got busy and loud around 6:15 so glad we made art reservations. We called around 2pm to make reservations and they answered even though they don't open until 4pm. That was nice. Excellent service by Tammy and the kitchen staff who helped her bring out the entree's when the were ready. We started with the vegetable spring rolls app special with sweet chili garlic sauce which was excellent and hot when served. Service of bread and butter was really nice loaf of fresh bread. I had the scallops over tomato pasta which was excellent. Very nice portion and perfectly seared scallops. Wife had the NY Strip which was very good and nice portion. It was perfectly prepared at medium rare and had a home made steak sauce on top. She enjoyed it and would definitely order it again. Daughter in-law got the pork chop and she said it was excellent and ate every bit of it. Son in-law had and excellent pizza. Good wine and beer selection. Highly recommend.

Their either never open or closed for other reasons. The menu looks great, prices are high--but----can't get in.

We were pleasantly surprised. The food here was excellent. We started with the fresh bread and maple butter - yum! I had the fish and chips, my spouse had a Greek-style pasta with salmon. My fish was perfectly seasoned and cooked with a crisp crust. The fries were obviously hand cut. My spouse's salmon was also perfectly cooked, and the pasta was tasty, although he questioned the addition of a copious amount of feta. As for beverages, I had iced tea that tasted freshly brewed. Spouse opted for beer. He felt that the beer list, although good, was nothing special. It was mostly IPAs. I wonder if this will change during the high season. The staff was very friendly and helpful. As for ambiance, it was rustic in a clean, friendly, and cheerful way.

We enjoyed ourselves and the meal, and the drinks were reasonably priced.

My daughter in-law called ahead after we left the bar type restaurant and they had us a nice table waiting for us! Excellent atmosphere and the service was very friendly and welcoming. I think Billy was the name of our waiter but several of the other wait staff worked together to help him. Our dinners were all excellent and everyone enjoyed them. I had the pork chop and it was prepared perfectly and flavored well. Wife had the scallops with butternut squash and she raved about it. Can't remember what ther other three had. Excellent wine, Ken Write Cellars Pino Noir. So good we got another bottle to go.

Overall, it offered a unique experience, though not without a few drawbacks. To start, the appetizers were fantastic. We shared the beef tartare, mussels, and crab rangoon. The beef tartare stood out for its flavor, though the accompanying baguette was slightly stale. Despite that, the appetizers were the highlight of the meal. For soup, we sampled the French onion, which was met with mixed reviews--decent, but not particularly memorable. The main courses included kangaroo, venison, fish and chips, and duck. While the chef's talent for creating flavorful dishes was evident, all the meats were unfortunately overcooked. This may have been due to the challenge of preparing multiple meals at once, as we were informed that there was only one chef in the kitchen. The restaurant itself boasts a charming and homey ambiance that enhances the dining experience. Service was friendly and accommodating, with no issues on that front. A standout feature of the menu was the inclusion of kangaroo--a rare find, especially in Vermont. While it's worth trying for the novelty, be prepared for its distinctively high iron content, which imparts a metallic flavor that may not appeal to everyone. In conclusion, this restaurant offers a unique and enjoyable experience despite a few missteps. The friendly service and cozy atmosphere make it a worthwhile stop for those visiting the Jay area. Just keep in mind that the kitchen's limitations may impact larger parties or more complex orders. If you're feeling adventurous, give the kangaroo a try--you likely won't find it anywhere else nearby!

We ordered the antelope Swedish balls, French onion soup, and firecracker beef. Most of the food wasn't great - the antelope Swedish meatballs were the best of the 3. The French onion soup had too much thyme and a very watery broth. The firecracker beef was offensive!! It has a warning that it's very spicy (which is true), but it was a really strange dish! I expected an Asian inspired spicy beef dish over rice, but we got a hot sauce drenched rice bowl. Allegedly there was beef in it, but there was really no texture or flavor other than hot sauce! To clarify to the owner comment - we did tell our server we didn't like it, and that it was not due to the spice - it was due to the gross flavor. She simply said "oh I haven't heard that one" and did not offer to take it off the bill or replace it. Now the drinks and desserts were fantastic! We loved our seasonal cocktails, and we ordered two desserts and polished them off. The maple chomeur was drenched in sauce and so good - we actually poured the remaining sauce over our apple warm too! I loved the fresh apples in the tart since there was some texture. Service was also very good from the front desk to our server.
