I am still fighting, I filed a complaint with BBB, no response, I filed with the New Mexico Department of Justice Intake and Constituent Service Bureau, which was also ignored. They use their second business, Builder's Source for plumbing and electrical which requires a Construction license, that license has now been revoked by the state. I would be giving second thoughts to using this business, you have no recourse, if something goes wrong, like them destroying my 5 yr. old, $5,000 GE Monogram oven and the cabinet it sat in. The issue with this place is that the actual repair techs are great - skilled, professional, and friendly. Unfortunately to get to the great repair people you have to deal with horribly rude staff and a completely unresponsive manager who will not return a call no matter how you beg. Calab came to service my washer. While it did take 3 visits Calab was very nice, kept me informed and very professional.

I spent $557 for service on my Viking cooktop, and it does not perform at all better than before. I rest my case. On top of that, at each visit (2 times), I told the technician about missing rubber bumpers on the cooktop grills, and could he order them. Each time, he did not, he forgot!! This is such a simple fix. If this is as good as they can do, then they need 1)better training, 2)better management, 3)better quality control. I chose not to complete their survey because it was a simple "how would you rate us on a scale of 1-5". I will certainly NOT recommend nor use them again. If I could give them a negative score I would. They repaired our compressor on a 5 year old Bosch refrigerator. It cost $1600 ($1000 for labor which took less than 2 hours). After they put it in, the compressor, the ice maker stopped working. They ordered a part and it's been several months. We were told today that the part is no longer available. We've sold the house and we're going to have to buy a whole new refrigerator for the new owner. Stay away from this place. There is no follow up and no customer service. read more

This review is for Dalton appliance service out of El Paso, Texas. I've been having difficulties with my GE refrigerator in that, the temperature kept "rising." I bought my refrigerator new, in November 2020. IT SHOULD BE NOTED THAT IN 2021 AND EVERY YEAR THEREAFTER, I HAD TO CALL DALTON AND HAVE THEM COME OUT AND LOOK AT MY REFRIGERATOR FOR THE SAME ISSUE, THE TEMPERATURE WOULD NOT STAY DOWN. IT KEPT RISING. AT FIRST, MY FIRST INSTINCT WAS MAYBE DALTON WASN'T ALL THAT GOOD? However, Edward, the service tech that came out, told me that the compressor in my refrigerator in his opinion, was of a poor quality. He further stated that GE manufactured three refrigerators that year, and all three had had difficulties with the compressor however, my model, did not come with a five-year warranty. Approximately 2 1/2 weeks ago when Edward came to my home to look at the refrigerator for the fourth year in a row, he said, "sir. I think your compressor is finally shot for the last time." I called "GE customer care," and informed them of the issue and they readily agreed to replace the compressor as well as for the service installation. This went on for approximately 11 business days before they finally agreed to the first agreement, which was to cover the cost of the service call and the cost of the compressor. I'm very thankful to GE for doing this for me. And I'm especially thankful to Dalton for their years of very, very excellent service. I would like to make a special note of Priscilla, who is the office Managerin for Dalton, El Paso. She was always so very kind, professional and patient with me. She is indeed an angel. I would also like to mention Edward, the service tech, Mgr. who came out to my home. He always arrives on time as advertised. He gets to work immediately, cleans up, thanks me and he's out the door and every time, things are just great. I would not hesitate to call Dalton again for any reason. We have a warranty policy on our kitchen appliances. Dalton Service Center is who the warranty company uses in Albuquerque. We had technicians from Dalton visit our home on 5 different occasions over the span of 6 months to repair our dishwasher. They ordered parts, ordered different parts, ordered the wrong parts and ultimately could not repair our dishwasher. The interactions were very frustrating! We had different repair people and were told different things by each repair person each time they were at our home. I called their office multiple times in between visits to check on parts that were on order, and the agents on the phone were not always pleasant. I repeatedly asked for a Manager to call back, I was told that the owner, would call me on several times and he never did. I kept asking if the dishwasher was repairable and they continued to say it was. After 6 month so of back and forth, they finally told the warranty company that it wasn't! I would never recommend this business for appliance repair! read more

I'm writing this review 2.5 months after my under warranty clothes dryer stopped working. I called the insurance company that I have a policy with, they said Dalton services is contracted to to the work. I made my first appointment for the tech to diagnose the issue, they weren't able to come for 2 weeks. On the day they were supposed to come, the tech called and said there was no reason for him to come because it wasn't heating it could only be one thing. He asked for a picture of the serial number and said it had to the igniter. He tech said he would order the part, and get back to me. After 2 weeks of not hearing from him, I called to find out the status of the repair part and installation. The girl who answered the phone said " it just came in today" So, I scheduled another appointment for three weeks out because that was the soonest they can come. The day came, and the tech showed up to install the igniter, because as I said before " it could only be one thing" guess what? It was the wrong part! So, again I wait for the new part to come in which now he said was the motor in spite of the motor still running. 2 weeks later the motor has s to be installed and the day before they were due to install the motor the receptionist calls to cancel my appointment because the "parts" had not come in. I refused to let her cancel my appointment because the tech had already told me the parts were available locally. The girl put me on a brief hold, when she came back, she said "ok, we will leave you on the schedule" guess what? Wrong part again! The following week after me calling the insurance company, the store who I bought the machine from, they now said it is now the thermostat. Finally the day came, and finally after 3 months it's finally fixed. When I told the manager that the tech told him to text him pictures of the serial number because it could " only be one thing!" She argued with me that HER tech would never have told me to send pics, I explained that I had text message proof of it, she hung up on me. I have never dealt with such an incompetent company in my life! The office was so incredible rude, and condescending. I asked for a manager to return my call, but nobody ever did. I will never do business with this company again! As far as I'm concerned anyone can throw parts at it until finally one works. Please beware of this company! Update: Now that my dryer has been fixed for one week, Dalton services called me 2 days ago to tell me they are on the way to fix my dryer! This proves the incompetence of this company! read more

I did a part one review for this business after an initial service call where they came out and ordered parts. This is part two review after service was completed. This company has my complete trust at this point. Partially due to a wonderful service repair person named Isaac. He is honest patient and overall just a nice person to deal with. This company ordered parts a couple of weeks ago and not only called me to schedule an appointment but actually pre-scheduled me which made it very easy. I'm happy with the quality the organization and while I'm never happy with service prices I do appreciate that Isaac adjusted my bill to take off two parts that were not needed even though they ordered them. I called that honesty and I appreciate it so very much. I will definitely use the service in the future they have my respect and my trust. read more

They are a complete rip off. I was referred to them by Builder's source when we found out we had a warped refrigerator door. I was told a new door would arrive in 4 weeks. It was 6 weeks, but whatever. The technician arrived and installed the door. Unfortunately, because of problems with my fridge (which no one could figure out) the door did not fit. So the technician took it back and put on my old door. Then I get a call from Dalton telling me that the manufacturer would not take the door back and I was out $490!!! Their solution was to not charge me the $215 service charge. I never would have bought the door if I had been told that if it didn't fit I would not get a refund. Who doesn't tell people that???? So now I have no fridge door, I had to order a new fridge all together and I am out $490. I say buyer really beware when dealing with this company. Thank you. read more

I Had problems with my convection working on my new oven and I called Dalton and spoke with Patricia who was more than helpful! I had someone (Greg) come check my stove within a week and found it needed a switch to be replaced. They have been efficient, pleasant and prompt! I was referred to Dalton Service Center by Bosch. I had called to find out who could service my washing machine that broke. When I called Dalton, they were able to set up an appointment on a day that was convenient for me. The day of the appointment, I received a phone call with a 25min heads up that the technician would be arriving, and I was given his name, so I knew who to expect. He arrived when they said he would. He was polite, he fixed the washing machine quickly, and he gave me general advice about the washer/dryer that I have. He also let me know which of my other appliances they service in case I have any further trouble. I will keep their number and use them,if I need to have other appliances serviced. Hopefully, this won't be for a long time. I thought it was going to be a huge headache to get the washer fixed, but it wasn't a bad experience at all. I highly recommend them. read more

Truly atrocious. They have been out to fix my dishwasher 4 times and it has never been fixed. The technician said a part needed to be replaced. Took months, then when he got it and came to install it he broke it while taking it out of the package. Months and a second part later, he took over an hour to install it and couldn't get the dishwasher back straight. Lo and behold, this did not address the dishwasher. I have also had them look at my stove and my fridge, claim to fix the ice maker and a cooktop, and neither is working. Do not hire them. read more

June 2023 -- Two different Dalton service technicians, who were authorized by the manufacturer to repair my appliance, had NO CLUE what they were doing - none. The first misdiagnosed the problem and replaced a perfectly good part. The second told me "these new appliances make odd noises. It's normal for them to sound like this". Really? I called a different appliance repair center and they knew exactly what needed to be replaced and repaired. Problem solved. read more

I have hardwater and this damaged the supply value to my dishwasher. I was charged upfront for the parts that they had to order and the labor to replace the part. They told me they would schedule an appointment once the part arrived. That was almost 5 months ago. I did call several times and I was told the part was backordered and was being delayed because of supply line issues. I showed some understanding after all we are in a pandemic. But five months seemed long time to wait even for the ex-soviet union. I went online and order it from Amazon. Got the part in eight days. There supply line issue is most likely not their issue. I called them to let them know I have the part and they told me they also just received the part as well and can complete the repair next week. I will give them 4 stars because they are doing pretty good for being a Soviet ran business. read more

The company and the local retailer-Fergusons-refused to stand behind the unit. Spoke with supervisor - felt like she was doing me a favor having someone come to fix a repair they created. Should we need an appliance in the future we find it impossible to shop Builder Source. Do not do business with these crooks. I was referred to Dalton by SubZero, as they are the authorized service center. I had a minor issue - part of the ice maker broke. This is my first experience owning a fridge that costs more than a car, and I had been expecting a level of service commensurate with the luxury price tag. I called up SubZero and was told that they would take care of me, even though the fridge was on the edge of the warranty. I then spoke with Dalton, who confirmed that SubZero (after some cajoling) had agreed to pay for the service and the part, and that they would schedule the repair once they received the part. Once the part arrived, the Dalton tech arrived promptly, and was done with the repair in 15 minutes. Great! Weeks later, I receive a bill from Dalton stating that SubZero did not authorize the labor, and they want to bill me $185 bucks (for a full hour!) of labor. When I brought up the fact that they themselves said there would be no charge, the response was, and I quote, "We don't care." They have refused to go back to SubZero to clarify, they have refused to honor their word, and they have billed after the fact and after issuing me a zero invoice. This company is a load of crooks, liars, and clearly a blatant rip-off operation. Best to tell SubZero (and Bosch, and others) that you refuse to work with this company, and that you expect other options in the area. Of course, this might seem excessive - but I have full documentation and written transcripts from my assistants verifying each aspect of this review. Stay away at all costs! read more

I would like to share my experience with the Dalton service. We had a brand-new subzero refrigerator, and when we moved in we found to our surprise that was not working. We were provided with a "specialist from Dalton service".He came and found a leak.After 2 weeks the refrigerator quit working again. Another trip from the specialist identified another leak.After 2 weeks the refrigerator quit working again.The third visit with the"the specialist" identified the third leak but at the end of the "repair session", the refrigerator was completely dead." The Specialist" was unable to tell me why but he told me that he is going to have the issue resolved on Monday.A week later when I called Dalton's office they told me that the next available visit is 3 weeks from now. When asked to speak with a supervisor I was told that the supervisor is on the other phone. read more

Field techs were great. They are the only reason for the one star. It is the front office and management that is terrible. Under warranty refrigerator failed for the 2nd time. Ten days after the techs were here, I called to get an update on parts. The response was, "we contacted the extended warranty company and have not heard back yet." How did you contact them, I asked? By email, was their response. Do you not have a system in place to alarm you if you get no response, I asked? No, we do not, they responded. So, if I had not contacted you or did not contact you, this would just get lost and not followed up on? No answer for that. These people have NO CLUE as to how to run a service company! I owned a very successful company that did process and customer service analysis for service and retail companies, as well as owning 3 high tech service companies, as well. So, I am very familiar about how the process should work. They should have followed up on the request in 48 hours, at the most. Terrible, terrible, terrible processes and customer service. And when I tried impress that upon them, they basically did not care. Do not use this company! If you have an extended warranty through the retailer, call the warranty company and find out who else can service your appliance. read more

Service provider for retailer Baillios. When my refrigerator delivered in December of 2022, started having functional problems, in February of 2023 - less than 2 months old. Retailer referred to Dalton's for warranty service. They ordered parts in February, that were not delivered until late May. Meanwhile the unit completely quit in April. Parts installed late May did not fix the refrigerator and more parts were ordered, originally scheduled for June delivery that was not met. Now told parts will not arrive until August. Dalton's has done nothing with the manufacturer to expedite or mitigate the problem. Now 5 months of a 7 month old product, without functioning properly, 2 of which unit is completely dead. The dispatcher or whomever takes the call only states parts are on back order, says they will check and call back, but never do. Ask to speak with a supervisor or someone with more authority, and they are always "busy", promise to have them return a call, but they never do. Would never do business with them, they are worthless. read more

It's rare to find a service business that is organized, polite, right on time, and --most importantly-- sends personnel who know exactly what they're looking at and what's required for the repair. Dalton scores 5/5 on each of these points. I wasted months diddling around with the cheap local guy. Dalton charges what is about average for the US these days but they are professionals who GET THE JOB DONE, which makes that money is well spent. Nice people to deal with. Also- their technician Lorenzo suggested I call and plead my case to Whirlpool and see if they'd maybe give me a new door for my fridge. The did-- under some sort of customer goodwill policy! 12 Years ago a I purchased a Whirlpool LP range for my home in Rio Rancho. About 5 years ago, AAA gas informed my tenabt that there was a leak in the range and Dalton was the service rep for Whirlpool. I was told that the valve would cost around $70 and the service call was something around $100+ at the time. The service was performed and ALL the valves were replaced and my bill cane to $470+ dollars, about the cost of a new range. It is now 5 years later, and the replaced valves have again failed. I have purchased a GE range, and do not plan on purchasing ANYTHING from either Whirlpool or Dalton again. read more

I thought I could save money going with another service that charged a little less for the service call but I learned the hard way that that is a fallacy... half the time the service tech is not licensed and that lower price just gets him in the door to makie an unqualified diagnosis which costs me MORE in the long run. (I just went through this)! Dalton is the only company qualified by Whirlpool (who took over Maytag's service) to work on the newer Maytag products and Pete is one of two techs at Daltons who specifically knows these machines like the back of his hand. I had 3 different other services give me three different diagnoses for my machine ranging in price from $500 to over $700 and Pete had the problem fixed right the first time for under $300. I am VERY HAPPY with Dalton's integrity. Mike Dalton has a pristine reputation in building his business over the last 20 years. Don't even mess around, just call Dalton and come out ahead!!!! The next day, they gave us a call 20 minutes prior to the service technician's arrival time to alert us. When the technician arrived at our home, he was courteous, friendly and professional. We purchased an Electrolux dishwasher from Biallos and bought the 5 year warranty service agreement. Our dishwasher broke down while still under warranty and Dalton Service Center came out and the repairman said it needed repair parts. The man said he would be out to repair it when the parts came in. We received notification from Dalton Service Center that our dishwasher was deemed unrepairable by the warranty company that hires Dalton Service Center to repair the appliances. This warranty company would not honor our warranty contract to repair the dishwasher. The warranty company gave us all the money back that we had paid for the warranty when we called them to complain. This is nothing but fraud and a breach of contract on the part of the warranty company that Biallos uses for their warranty contracts. The bottom line is don't purchase anything from Biallos or anyone else who uses this warranty service. You will not get any warranty service when you need it. I am also going to call the better business bureau and report them for fraud. I am in Albuquerque, New Mexico not San Francisco. Dalton Service Center was great but the warranty company that Baillos uses for their warranty repairs is not. read more

Dalton repaired our Wolf Microwave. It stopped heating. They had to do it in 2 visits which was inconvenient. Both technicians were very friendly and answered all of my questions.
