I purchased a $20 downfield pillow which had zero support once I got it home and once I tried to return to the store they stated because there was a few pieces of cat hair on it they could no longer except the return and would make a note in their system not to accept if I tried taking it to another store. Several of the employees are rude, also management let the employees buy items first before the customers, a lot of times they don't even put certain items on the floor no selection, the employee's get them first I have asked for specific items that are at other stores and the staff has said that they have purchased the items. Store is good with lots of items and selections. Service is usually very good but today we had a cashier named MAVERICK helped us out with a return and he was very rude. We literally bought the items yesterday at a Marshalls in Tustin and he kept checking up and down a tag like we did something wrong. He would not do an exchange for the item either and we had to suggest store credit. Then the next items we returned he said we can exchange?! WTF. We have receipts for both transactions. Lucky for him today I'm in a good mood so I let it go. But it's evidently that this store does discriminate against customers to have return/exchange even though the receipts clearly state that customers have the right to return or exchange within certain time frames. This place has really gone down hill. The selection is weak. The staff has also gotten quite rude. They refused to let me use the bathroom to change my baby's diaper. Spoke to an associate and she clearly told me she put an item on hold for me, drove down here an hour later and there was no hold. All they said to me was that maybe there was miscommunication when I know exactly what the lady told me, she clearly told me she would put the item on hold and took my name down. Waste of time. When I asked to speak to that associate directly I was told she was on lunch & they cant tell me when she'd be back. I've been going to this Marshalls for many years now. I haven't been to this store in a while, and I was pleasantly surprised when I went shopping at the store last Thursday. This location finally re-organized the check-out process so that there is only one line to pay for purchases like their other locations. FINALLY! In the past, it was like playing Russian roulette. You never knew if you would select a line where all of the customers in front of you had some kind of problem with their purchase and it would take forever to check-out. Now, I can go and shop at this location stress free! The Store is in a strip mall on Beach Blvd., where Rubios is located. The Store could use a face-lift but it's clean and the products are organized. I can usually find a deal on clothing and shoes for my son and me. In the past I've found great deals on designer name products such as Calvin Klein, Michael Kors, BCBG, Max Studio, Ralph Lauren, Tahari, Nine West, Juicy, Coach, and New Balance. I also buy my son's Hurley, Billabong, Quick Silver, etc., t-shirts for about $10 a pop... a STEAL. I noticed that this location has the best clothing selection of "Clearance" items. If you have the patience to go through the clearance racks, you will find a great deal. Last Thursday, I bought the cutest black knee high boots with laces and studs from Marshalls for only $34.99. The store also had the boots in brown, but I was being thrifty and didn't buy them. I wore them on Friday to work and received many compliments. So, today I returned to Marshalls and bought the brown boots. I also picked up 2 pairs of straight legged stretch denim jeans from the clearance rack; one for $10 and the second for $15. My fourth item that I purchased was a pair of faux denim leggings for $6. As I was checking out today, I noticed the Store's new staff. Too bad I didn't receive better service than what was provided by their predecessors. Had my second negative experience with their customer service tonight. I LOVE Marshals and TJ Maxx and even have their credit card, but I'll just avoid this particular location from now on as their employees are rude and inconsiderate. I work in the servicing industry and even if I'm having a bad day, I never take it out on the customer. Are they clueless about providing good service or do they know they're assholes but settle for working there because they can't find better jobs? I live in the area and have been to this location for over 20 years. I've never really had any issues with this store. Today I went in to return a few things and my experience was beyond horrid. First issue - I bought a "Christmas" sweatshirt for my son and it was too small, so I asked if I could exchange for another size. The "coordinator" there told me I can't because it's a "Christmas item." I didn't buy it at this location but when I purchased it, I made sure and ask if it was returnable. The girl that rang me up said yes, anything is returnable. Well, I guess I was wrong because I couldn't even exchange it. It's fine, I'm keep it. Second issue - I had bought an expensive face cream (Shideido) for my mom a few months back as a Christmas present, but she doesn't want it. I had the original receipt, told them that it has been over 30 days so I don't expect a refund, I'll take a store credit. This same coordinator said that I can't return make-up or anything face cream related because that's their return policy. She even said "I tell all my employees to let customers know that face cream, etc are final sale when they ring up customers." I told her that the box has never even been opened. She proceeded to open up the box containing the bottle of cream, removed the seal, opened the cap, held the bottle up, shook it to see if it was empty. Then walked over to another woman, came back and told me that if this was under $19.99, she would have let me return it because I have the receipt. Then, she had the audacity to tell me that the seal is broken - at this point, I'm just pissed. So I told her, YOU just broke the seal. And she gave me some dumb excuse that the flap was already loose. She then told me I could bring it back to the original store and try to return it there. I bought this in San Diego when I was visiting a friend so yea, ok, let me drive an hour and a half to return an item at a Marshall's when there's one literally 10 minutes from me. I completely understand if I was being unreasonable and she could have just said no, they can't take it back. But what bothered me was all the lame reasons she gave me for why I can't return the cream, AND that she just made up her own return policy. Btw, I had bought another face cream at TJ Max a few weeks ago, just went to return it and had no issues (same company). I looked up Marshall's return policy when I got home and nowhere does it say make-up, face cream/location is not returnable. I wish I had taken down her name because the customer service was completely unacceptable. Not coming back here again after 20+ years. read more

There's not much to say about this place. I consider Marshall's to be the Ross for the classier middle class citizen. It has good discounts on designer and non-designer named items, just like Ross. The only difference is they might have some higher brand items than Ross would, which means higher prices as well. Still, they have a good selection of higher end items that won't cost you an arm and a leg, only an arm or leg. PROS: - designer brand items for cheap, including Marc Jacobs, Michael Kors, Nike - has a nice selection of dishware and house hold items that would make great gifts for house warming parties CONS: - pricier than Ross - you feel cheap coming here I recommend coming here if you're looking for higher end items that you're not willing to pay full price for, like nice business attire. However, if you're simply looking for every day accessories like socks, underwear, and shirts you should head to Ross instead. read more

Why 5 stars? Well considering what it is, a discount store with leftover stock, it is actually very nice. The lighting is good, employees are keeping the shelves organized and the aisles clean. Most prices are good but with Amazon out there, some of the discounted prices are barely below the Amazon price. Hmm, dented item for $9.99 or brand new undamaged item for $10.99 delivered to my front door? Decisions, decisions. That said it certainly doesn't hurt to browse. My husband bought me 3 items for Christmas gift that seem to be Christmas items on 12-23-2019 so I don't like those, he and I didn't know they have a sign somewhere in the store stated Christmas items have to return before 12-24-2019. On the receipt did not stated that restriction at all, it says 30 days with receipt, today 1-4-2020 I brought them back for returning, they didn't accept it. I have talked the store manager so he didn't solve the problem. They should stated on the receipt to make it clear or at least train their employees to tell customers We feel like we have been strapped for this situation. We were not alerted by this restriction. I came to Marshalls in Huntington Beach trying to find stuff to buy for someone as a favor and when I found it. Both of the bottles display to sale on the counter were already expired a year ago. What the heck. That's crazy isn't it? I called one of the manager who's working here told him about it and show it to him that it was expired a year ago. He told me if I want I can buy it if not then just leave it back there. I was completely embarrased during Christmas shopping 2018 and it took me this long to get it off my chest. I went early on Sunday while it wasn't crowded to Marshals and I was shopping in the purse section. I heard the beeper going off in that area and it was very annoying, so I complained to the guy who seemed obviously to be security. I chose two purses and I was followed throughout the whole store during my anxiety provoked shopping experience. While I was at checkout buying my items I was again followed and then asked to look at all of my bags and receipts, because the cashier forgot to remove a security tag. Of course my bags and receipts showed nothing stolen because it wasn't me. They should have noticed the two guys who split up and took off instead of following me. I will never ever shop here again in my life and they should invoke a different security protocol instead of harrasing innocent law abiding people. read more

I recently purchased 3 T-shirts from a store in Whittier. a couple of days later I found out the shirts I purchase were too small so I needed to returned them or exchange for a different size. Since I was closer this store off of Beach BLVD I went in WITH MY RECEIPT and TAGS still on the items for the exchange or refund. The lady at the rigester barely spoke english told me to wait. She called the manager over and they punched in there system... 5 minutes later the manager came back and made me look like I was a criminal. The funny part about this was I took my items back to the orginal store, and I was able to fine the same shirt but in my size I wanted. I would give no stars if I could!!! This store has the worst customer service! The manager Keith had a computer printed sign on the back of the register saying no Christmas returns after Dec 24th. Manager Keith said it had been up the whole Christmas season and there was nothing he would do, it's corporate policy. I shopped this location numerous times prior to Christmas and never saw any sign stating this fact. Called Marshall's in seal beach asked if this was their policy as well, they said no as long as you have the receipt and tag your good. Will not ever shop the HB, beach blvd location again. I have had numerous run ins with this manager Keith where he said he would not return my unused, tagged, with receipt merchandise. Absolutely horrible management and customer service. I have to agree with Tay D. for some incompetent managers. I tried to bring something back for return--after the 30 day period--but according to all the policies I saw, you get store credit. So you know, I went and browsed, found something I liked and brought that along with my return to the front. Waited in line. Got to the register, "Oh you can't return this it is beyond thirty days"..well I can get store credit, it says on your policy..."oh well it is electronic"...your policy says nothing about that, anywhere..."other restrictions apply"...okay can you show me your terms that states these restrictions?"that is what they tell me to say"...mind you this was the store manager I was dealing with, who does not know more than to read that one line off my receipt. --so bottom line, just make sure you want to KEEP what you buy. read more

Great store to find higher end brands on the cheap. Always good selection of clothing, home, shoes and other items. Service is acceptable but you can wait in line for over 10 minutes if they are busy. Some of my favorite things are like household items, Italian soap, shampoo from bigger brands, kitchen items and clothing. Overall this is a great location to save a little coin and find some nice things generally only found at bigger more expensive stores. Big parking lot is easy to find a sport, weekdays are best, because it can get busy. Great place to shop! read more

One of my favorite Marshall's and places to shop in general. They always have full racks of clearance items, in each and every department. The shoe selection for women is usually only flip flops and wedges which is great but if your looking for heels for a night out you may want to look elsewhere. They have a great selection of women's dresses both for women, plus and juniors. They kid's section also has some of the cutest little girl dresses around. They do have a small selection of toys but if your looking for buying a b-day present be prepared to have to go somewhere else as the selection can be limited at times. The home goods always have a large variety including sheets, bathroom, kitchen, and even home decor. They men's section is abundant too offering a great range that include big and tall. They are fully stocked with swim gear for the entire family for summer time needs. And even offer baby suits. They have a large variety of purses too but if your looking for designer bags this is not the place. More Liz C, and Tommy H bags than Coach or Michael K. I found two nice (yet simple) Calvin Klein collared shirts and a pair of khaki utility shorts that (only) my stepfather would like. His style at the least. I owe it to the man to be extra nice to him. He's put up with a lot of my crap the moment he took a gamble with my mother knowing she had this troubled young man (at the time) twelve years ago. Don't go to the store in Huntington Beach, the WORST customer service ever, apparently they have never had customer service training classes. They are so greedy and care only about money. I had a situation where I was asking for a fare discount for a mistake that they did it and they just denied, with a really nasty excuse, manager Jamie was rude and not friendly even the cashier next to me had a sarcastic smile on her face (mind in your own business lady). Words cannot express how obsessed I am with this place. I have spent thousands of dollars here. I even got two gift cards here for Christmas... Almost everything here is cheaper than it would be in another store; from yoga pants to kitchen utensils to hand soaps and candles. The clearance lane is great if you want to sort through a bit of broken/damaged junk in order to find something awesome. The higher end haircare products are cheaper here than almost everywhere else. I do wish they had more women's (not juniors) clothing in smaller sizes. But the brands that they do carry are great (Splendid, Marc Jacobs, Joes Jeans, Paige Denim to name a few)... Their furniture is a little more expensive than it probably should be. read more

I would give this no stars if I could. Last night I went to the Huntington Beach ca, location. As I went to check out I handed the cashier named (Julian) the items I wanted to purchased as soon as I did he asked if he could check my other bag with an attitude , that I had brought with me which was a old Halloween marshalls shopping bag full of my other purchases from different stores. I said I guess so he checked it I asked him if they check everyone's bags he said no we don't and we don't check purses Not only did I feel super uncomfortable he embarrassed me literally in front of all the customers and workers making it seem like I stole something which I would never do and to discriminate me was not okay I almost feel like pressing chargers it's against the law to look through someone's personal items especially when I have no reason too. My shopping bag was in the shopping cart tied you can even look at the cameras.This isn't the first time I had a incident like this at this store a few months ago I had one of the workers follow me around the store trying to look in my basket which my personal bag was in and I kept asking him why are you following me ? Just look in my bag since you think I'm stealing which he declined then I asked another worker what his name one and she lied and gave me a different one. So I found the manager and complained I told him what happened and he already knew who I was talking about , then I told him his employees gave me a fake name too but he didn't do anything and acted like he cared he's not fit to be a manger and half those workers there a rude, they discriminate, they follow you it's not okay. I've never felt so uncomfortable shopping before this Marshalls is horrible and the only place I've had issues with. I will no longer shop at this location and I will let everyone know how horrible it is. Not only do the employees suck but the store is disorganized and messy too. Not bad. Had a big selection. Has a nice clearance section. Prices were all very good. I ended up buying a ton of stuff I really like. The customer service was good, about what you would expect. My main issue was that I bought a lot of breakables. But, they were out of bags? So then I needed to purchase a reusable bad because how am I going to haul all this tiny stuff to my car otherwise?? I really don't like stores that make you buy their bags. I know they were just "out" but it was really annoying. I don't have a need for reusable bags. I actually prefer the plastic or paper because I use those again and again at home(with lunches or craft projects). Also the reusable bags were HUGE so they were difficult to carry since everything was flopping around in it and making it awkward.
