Was my favorite Marshalls.. it was so clean and well organized and sad to see they closed it

There are many cute and nice items here but the customer service is lacking. The other day, an employee falsely accused me of stealing. I was not stealing or planning to steal in any way. I had just left Victoria's Secret, where I obviously spent much more than the little item I was going to buy from Marshalls. Anyway, the employee named Antonio made me so uncomfortable by falsely accusing me of trying to steal, and humiliated me. He even said "we have cameras" and I was like well that's great, check them, because you'll see I didn't steal anything or "switch tags." I asked to speak with a Manager and informed her what happened. She apologized about it. It was a terrible experience and made me not want to go to that store again. read more

I always find something at this Marshalls. It has everything and the store is always clean and welcoming. Everyone working there is friendly and super helpful. This location has a nice mix of budget friendly brands and few higher ends ones sprinkled in. I'm lucky it's within walking distance of our place! read more

This is a pretty good Marshalls: it's got a dedicated parking lot and is located next to a grocery store (and across the street from a Vons AND a Ross. They keep the hygiene and beauty products pretty well organized. The recently discounted section is the usual chaos of half-used projects and sticky bottles of lotion and soap. I've never seen a Marshalls or a TJ Maxx where the slash-prince beauty items wasn't a disaster. It's just the nature of the beast. But the main area is actually pretty tiny. I usually find a nice, well-priced hand soap or the odd skin care product here. The housewares section is really variable. There's always a plethora of certain items: mirrors, picture frames, etc. But also Hindu murtis (images of Gods) and other interesting items aimed at specific ethnic groups. As with this entire chain, what you encounter is going to be determined by when you go there. Overall, the place is pretty tidy for a store where people are hunting for bargains. And the checkout section usually has an appropriate number of cashiers on duty. So you can get out of here at relatively quick pace. So, overall, I'm pretty happy this place is in the neighborhood. read more

This is a really nice Marshalls that I went to in Hollywood I they have a lot of really cool Halloween decorations that I really liked and they have a lot of other stuff as well I totally recommend that you guys go to that Marshalls in Hollywood you can also get great deals and save a lot of money when you shop at Marshalls it's one of my favorites places to shop at they lots of great values I love shopping at Marshalls read more

I love this place due to location. Sometimes it has good stuff. I always get my seasonings and kitchen stuff here. They sometimes carry good olive oil, candies and others. This is also where I get my jeans, T shirts and shorts. When it is on sale, it is good time to buy. Stock comes in almost everyday, it usually not much and it is gone fast. Fitting room is never close like Ross nearby. Security is onsite and stuff is usually displayed neatly. Love this place. read more

I'm standing here right now as Maria who doesn't know I understand Spanish is putting me down with her trainee. She went through the pricing of the items I bought as if I had walked around and changed the pricing. I come here all the time and spend good money here. To be insulted like this is a slap in the face. If there is an issue with pricing how is that my problem. Decent store--Visiting LA from NYC... Found a hat ($15) which i wanted but was in really bad shape...very dirty, on floor, and as if (and i know this is disgusting, I'm sorry..) someone had sneezed on it a couple times. Asked the salesgirl if she had any others in the back. She looked for another all over but said unfortunately no more left., said if i bring to register ask if they can offer 10% off and show the hat... I was surprised, and thought ok might be worth it! I'll hve it cleaned! Once i got to register and mentioned the issue, my cashier rang her mgr--and told her the story, twice. I could tell then she was uncomfortable....then the mgr arrived (short brunette w/long hair) not very thrilled, asking what the problem was. She told her (once again...as i apologized for even bothering her w/this). And with a less than enthused tone, stated she'd give me .99cents off. A few months ago I entered this store and was escorted out due to my physical disability. I have a rare form of muscular dystrophy that causes me to walk with a pronounced limp and upon walking into the store a security guard confronted me and told me I had to leave. When I asked why, he told me he had already kicked me out a couple days prior. As he was escorting me out I repeatedly told him he had the wrong person to which he replied, "Your walk gives you away." At no point did he reference anything other than my disability as his reason for being positive he had the right person and I was forced to leave. I work regularly in this area and have been a frequent shopper at this store for years so this was an embarrassing and unfortunate incident all around. I called the store numerous times after the incident hoping I could connect with the store manager to talk about the issue but I never received a call back. If you suffer from a disability or are an advocate for someone who is, I recommend at the very least you avoid this particular location. They really failed in this situation. read more

Came here with my family visiting from New Jersey and they were obsessed with this Marshals, it really does have a lot of merchandise and hire end unique items you usually dont see on the east coast at least. Got many INC. and Betsey Johnson Paris Hilton items was shocked. read more

Definitely my favorite Marshall's in Hollywood. You'd think it'd be run down and messy but it's actually clean and organized....well, when I go. I'm surprised at all the negative reviews. They always have everything I need, no complaints about the store itself. It's a good size, not too big but not too small. Parking is annoying. They don't validate and it's like $2.50 each 15 minutes. For being such a huge company with stores nationwide, you'd think they can afford to validate parking. It's impossible to find street parking for obvious reasons. Customer service is super nice. They're always quick and I'm never in line for a long time! I've always had a great experience with the workers and they're always super helpful. Overall, I prefer this Marshall's over any others. read more

Marshalls is my absolute favorite and almost only place of shopping. I dont even want to calculate how much I spend there a year (!!) Rarely ever return anything, and send there all my tourist friends who ask me for a good place for shopping. I bought a hair serum for like 14$ that dries my hair really really bad . I stopped by to purchase few more things and hoped to get credited for this bad product. melenie poorly even listen, she said that she can't resale it because its used, and spoke pretty rude. I guess Marshalls rather keeps 14$ then a life time costumer. A little bit of commonsense and costumer service could work much better. read more

They will lie to your face to save a buck (literally, $1) I had the most ridiculous experience at this place today. I was buying a set of 6 glasses but one of them had a chip on it and I can't use it, so technically I was only buying 5. The cashier said they would give me 10% off which was good enough for me. She then called some guy ( I assume a manager) who approved the discount and printed a new price tag. But when I got home I realized that the new price was $19 when the original price was $19.99. They gave me 99 cents off which is 5%, not 10%. Don't get me wrong, it's not about the money, I will survive the loss of one precious dollar. I just can't understand why anyone would do something like this. Why would "the manager" lie to my face to save a dollar? I hope it makes him feel better about himself because I was upset when I discovered it. But maybe it's just something they do. Check your receipts guys! read more

I live in the neighborhood, and this is our all-time fave store in Hollywood. My three girlfriends and I practically live at this store. We've bought SO MUCH here that we practically beg their amazing staff to ban us! Since it's re-opened (after COVID closures), I've purchased several HUNDRED items here - in every department except kids. I would list them, but can't due to the character limit. However, every other item on my bank statement says "Marshalls." My girlfriends have purchased about the same. We are seriously addicted to this store and the hospitality of their excellent staff. This store has such an amazing variety of EVERYTHING, fantastic prices and a warm, wonderful staff! Very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly! I am visiting LA for a family reunion for the 1st time. While out and about, on a family bus tour, I needed to buy flip flops due to a toe ache. Wh were by a Marshall's and I quickly found what I was looking for in a matter of minutes. Due to the pain I was in...I grabbed the Michael Kors box and immediately put the flip flops on and MY shoes in the MK box. My family was with me and stated they will meet me downstairs. While in the checkout line for about 5 minutes, I realized I DID NOT HAVE MY SHOES! As soon as I checked out, I advised the cashier that I needed to go back to the section because I left MY shoes behind AND knew exactly where after confirming with my sister that she didn't get them for me. Well, they were not there and probably a total of 10 minutes had went by after leaving the checkout area. I called my brother and he and my nephews came up to help look. I asked the lady managing the dressing room, which is beside the shoe department, and she said she was not aware. Another associate was stocking items and she asked if he knew...strangely he said no....we retraced my steps and my nephew found the MK box and MY converse sneakers in the trash....UNACCEPTABLE! Why not the lost and found and this was done MINUTES after leaving the area. I would have asked for a a manager, but our bus was bout to leave. I AM very disappointed....is this how the Hollywood associates/store treat customers? I waited before posting this JUST to see what customer service would do...well, they emailed me advising me that the store manager would be in contact....obviously the CS rep did not read my complaint in it's entirety because she had the Marshall's store closest to my residence to contact me!‍‍‍. I had to email her back twice advising her that it was the Hollywood location WITH the address and she still asked for the address. Anyway, a manager finally called....did apologize and was really interested in finding out who could have done this. NOTHING FURTHER ANDDDDDD....I was thankful for the apology but it had no empathy behind it AND GUESS WHAT...?? Nothing else was offered....check this....personal items thrown in trash within 5-10 min and a meaningless apology is all you get. Oh well..... read more

I have never felt so disrespected in my life. The manager at this location is the biggest asshole I have met in my life. He accused me of returning worn clothes and that is one thing I do not condone. When you accuse me of something that I did not do. The piece did not even fit me for me to wear and that is why I was returning the item. Worst customer experience of my life. It was a $10 dress why would I wear that and return it?? This isn't Nordstrom's or Bloomingdales. This is the worst store to visit the male manager needs to be taught some respect. I work in HR and that is not allowed. I have been a loyal Marshall's customer for over 15 years and have never been treated like this. read more

No bathrooms. A rude employee proudly informed that there is no access to restrooms for paying customers. Unacceptable.

The coordinator, I believe his name if Ruben from other reviews, stands behind the counter with a scowl. The marshalls website clearly says they accept returns past 30 days with a store credit. I was returning an unopened sheet set with receipt that was 3 days past 30 days. I was upfront and asked for store credit. This person rather harshly said he was making a "one time exception". He inspects every return looking for the slightest flaw always with a nasty scowl on his face. This store seems to have lots of staff turnover compared to the store at Hollywood western where the staff seems to have fun and treat customers with respect. Ruben should be fired read more

WORST. STORE. EVER. All I wanted was a travel case for my earbuds/headphones. I have been to this store a lot and knew there were at least 2 or 3 available. When I went to buy a case, I couldn't find one in the travel section. I asked an employee if she could help and she was very rude. Because it's not "her" department. Wow.... I worked at Whole Foods Market for over six years. If a customer has trouble finding something, it is my job to help them (even if it's not "my" department). That is a benchmark of great customer service. I asked to speak to the person in charge of the travel section. No help whatsover. I don't want to be asked if I looked in a different part of the store. Help me find what I am looking for!!!! Or call another store. I don't care. Do your job. And the manager (Really??? That store is doooooomed) wasn't any help. AT ALL. I managed to FINALLY find my item behind other stuff. Her lame response? "Oh, that's good to know". OMG. I called Marshall's Customer Service to complain. No offer for a gift card like most retail stores. They don't care about customer retention or satisfaction. I love going to Marshall's to find great discounted goods! I am a little disappointed with those store however. The cosmetics/body care area wasn't very appealing. There were many broken eye shadow pallets, opened lotions/face products. I get some people open and test things out, but it was excessive. Overall will be returning to store, just hope they can keep up with this area. read more

The store says it closes at 9:30pm but they really close 9:20pm. My friend and I tried to go in at that time and the security guard gave a really shitty attitude about it, saying, "I have to get home!" I then asked for his name... he refused so I called the store they said, "we don't let anyone in between 5-10 minutes from closing. It's company policy." Hands-down favorite store to shop in Hollywood! Economical pricing, friendly staff, organized store, clean facility, spacious environment, incredible selection. I'm always surprised to find more than I expected here. (FYI, This spot knocks Ross out of the water.) From Day 1 of me coming to this location, I always see Ben. He does a great job connecting with customers like me and now coordinates this location. I'm excited to see the company recognizing leadership in employees like Ben. Joanna is always very personable during my visits. Tonight was my first time meeting Ruth at the register and she is SUCH A SWEETHEART! Making conversation about my purchases while ringing me up. I'm a loyal Marshall's customer.. been to all of the locations in Los Angeles. I had never been to this location, the store is huge with great selections of top name products. But I will never come to this in particular store ever again. The worst experience, I've ever had. The tall dark haired male cashier public humiliated me in front of a huge long line of customers. He seemed like he was on cocaine , sniffling etc. He was so rude and wouldn't accommodate my wishes, I had just bought a few items at another location days before and wanted to do a exchange and put it towards the new items. I didn't have a receipt but all the tags were on there etc.. I've had other cashiers and other locations always do a store credit for exchange without receipt. So obvi I wasn't going to buy all the new items due to not getting my store credit. (He rang me up before knowing this)so I decided not to purchase a few items.. like to take them off the total -he wouldn't do it. More like he didn't want to do it. I only had enough cash on me and the total was too high... he embarrassed me and was so so rude. I've never written a bad review on Yelp- especially cuz I love Marshall's! So that's how bad it was. This huge store had only 1 cashier. They do not have their chip system activated thus ask for any other payment type if you do have a chip protected bank card. Items are overpriced even for Marshalls; went to other one and got the same items for much lower price. read more

Not sure if it's because I live so close, or because it really is that great... but this is one of my favorite Marshall's stores. If anything, to kill time and find random treasures. Their makeup is limited, skin/body/haircare is abundant. They home decor is my favorite to check out. Always check your products before you buy, obviously! read more

I just want to say that i usually have a great experience at this Marshalls. But what happened to me this afternoon made me write a review on Yelp for the 2nd time since I opened my account and give this store a disappointing 1 star. Basically the cashier who helped me this afternoon was the RUDEST person I've ever meet!! She did not greet me or smile when I approached her (I guess it's not her job to be polite. oh wait...) One of the items I purchased was a 3 piece set mirror. This is not my first time getting such item from Marshalls, so I asked if she can cut up the giant cardboard so the mirrors would fit inside my bag easier (the only reason why I even thought about it is because in the past, the cashiers offered to do that without me saying anything). The response I got from her was a little shocking: "No! you can cut it up yourself with my scissors after you pay for them!" Set aside her disrespectful language, her ill-mannered attitude made me want to boycott all Marshalls! She treated me like an untrustworthy person who owns her money or something!! If she would've phrased her sentence (and her attitude) in a more professional manner, I would've been way more understanding. After the most infuriating 3 mins of my life, I couldn't wait to get away from her, not minding the fact that she did not thank me or wish me a good day after the purchase. I am so disappointed with this experience that I will definitely never return to this Marshalls ever again! I feel sorry for all the other friendly employees at this location because she cannot be a pleasant person to work with! read more
