It's Marshalls... you know what this place is all about: deep discounts on last season's clothes, and assorted housewares and knick knacks. On this particular trip, I was looking for a large mirror. Lo and behold, there were three large mirrors in the back of the store... regular price in the $60-80 range, but marked down to $29.99. In the end, I didn't buy a mirror here, but it serves to demonstrate the cost savings you can find at Marshalls. I'm always tempted to go sift through the pants, but to be honest, there generally isn't a lot here for a 6'3" guy. If you're 5'4" and 130 pounds, you're gonna enjoy yourself. There also always seems to be four or five pairs of pants that are designed for someone who is super short and morbidly obese.... like Snorlax obese. I had a similar experience to the other most recent review ..I frequently return items because I don't have time to try it all on in the store and I follow policies to a "t" and I keep every single receipt. I recently purchased a good amount of clothing items from the Marshalls in Ontario mills in the IE and they had a great selection of brands I've never seen at Marshall's before! ....apparently the cashiers here never seen it either....i kept about 2/3 of the items from my 300 dollar purchase & everything I was returning was brand new unworn no flaws, had both the original tag and the Marshall's tag, and I had the receipt. The elderly lady who was helping me had to go get 2 other cashiers to help her "verify" the items were "in the system" and the cashiers were facing the back counter and kept looking back at me and I'm just standing there like ‍lol they also verified every item even the items from the same brand they had just verified?...there's already a long line at Marshall's and she made it take even longer....i get that there are people who abuse return policies but then maybe cashiers need better training? So that they are better equipped to spot abuse and more knowledgeable about the merchandise Marshalls carries. Ugh, they make returns so difficult AND this is especially for swim suits. I made the mistake of buying a swim suit without the hygienic strip and they wouldn't take it back. If the store is going to be strict about not accepting returns due to that reason, they need to make an effort to check that it's there and state it's not refundable. All tags were still in place. I might have to go drive back to the original location of my purchase or try another store just to get what I am owed. It's ridiculous there is no accountability or the benefit of the doubt for the customer's sake. read more

You have to polk around a little bit and it can be hit or miss, but you can find great deals not only on clothes but household items. I like to drop in frequently just to browse and see what I can find. read more

Of the three Marshalls in my area that I've been to - including the Marshalls on the corner of Montebello Blvd/Beverly Blvd as well as the location in the Quad of Whittier on Whittier Blvd - I have found this Marshalls to carry the most diverse items. What really set this Marshalls apart from the other two is that in addition to their traditional aisles of shoes, much like a Nordstrom's Rack, they also have a section shelves of random, quality shoes for sale. The last time I went, I came across Adidas NMD1's in the white colorway (common size of M9) which normally retail for ~$120, on sale for $49.99. Moreover, the cleanliness of this location is on par, if not slightly better than the Marshalls located in the Quad on Whittier Blvd. Also, they have a much larger selection of items in the holiday/seasonal section, which is perfect for the upcoming Fall season! read more

Love me some Marshall's and TJ max. Was working in the area We'd so I stopped in on my lunch break. Found a 10 pound kettle ball on clearance for 12.00 and some workout clothes. Customer service is friendly. Not the best Marshall's. It good selection and fast moving lines. Plenty of parking and Ross is In the same center so plenty of shopping and eating options. Was easy to drop 55 bucks in 20 minutes. Lol. read more

They do not care about their employees they are very rude. Specifically johanne yells and puts down employees .. makes scheduling threats. They have very unsafe and dangerous shelving be careful when shopping .. many problems with shelves and refuse to fix them ! Seems really neglectful to me! Marshalls is one of my absolute favorite places to go shopping for new clothes! I went in looking for a box and a new journal and I ended up leaving with two new workout shoes, a journal, and a new box for my baking supplies. I REGRET NOTHING. Literally horrible customer service !! I bout 2 bags and they stripped the bag open as if I stuck something in the bag !!! Felt so horrible !!! Manager rude !! I asked if I could use a virtual card that my work gave me and she said unless if it has a barcode, I get these all the time and all you have to do is use the number and the picture I showed had a confirmation !! Danger! Danger! I avoid places like Marshall's and Ross simply because of the mess. You know what I mean. There are clothes strewn about, small children running amok with boogers running down their faces while screaming, old women "marking" their territory of bargain binning, weird pedophilic men eyeing the store, and the small group of "normies" shopping. This store is not that much different. Not as bad as my previous description, but also not a polar opposite, either. My husband was looking for something, I can't even remember what it was, but we decided to hop in here to see if they had it. I ended up in the men's t-shirt section and we both ended up with some Dodger T's for $10. Not bad. As with all discount stores, you need to really look at what you are buying. I had another top that I thought was pretty cool. Upon closer inspection I noticed tha the silk screen had been burned through and the back of the light blue shirt had been singed and turned pinkish. I would have been perturbed, to put things mildly, if I had bought the top and then got home and found that. I will say that this is the place to find shoes if you're a woman seeking size 12 shoes. This is my first time going to this Marshall's and I was greeted and asked if I needed help by five different floor customer reps. Which was great because I got a cart and they were just trying to make sure I was OK. When I went to the fitting room the lady there wasn't as nice and I totally understand it's her job to give me a limit on clothes but I'm not usually one to go back and forth three times for fitting. They were all same item different sizes I wasn't able to try on. When I reach the front of the line and there was only two cashiers and the line was massive so they definitely need to add more cashiers. The cashier lady was polite a little pushy when she was trying to sell me on donations and getting a TJ Maxx card. Overall it was a great experience and they have a good team. read more

Out of all the marshalls I have been to this would be one of the disappointing ones . Most annoying thing about this place is they take forever to answer the phone and even if they do answer they have you on hold for the longest time and have attitude when you complain about it. This place may be neater than most marshalls but that would be because it's smaller than others not much selection and the shoe section is small. I'd rather shop at the one in montebello they have more of a variety and bigger shoe department. read more

Great spot to find affordable work shoes and the best part they are LEATHER! Also great to purchase nylons and tights for work. I have found some awesome shoes and toys for my kid too! been here a couple of times. cant say i like marshalls more than ross though lol. in comparison between ross and marshalls, prices are about the same, but i sometimes find some items sold at marshalls are sold at a higher price though lol. overall, the place is pretty nice and neat. service is alright. clearance items sometimes arent really clearance though.. found a pair of shoes on clearance for $30 lol? maybe it is cheap to some, but not really what i consider to be clearance lol. my favorite area to shop in this place is the home&food area where occasionally they will have really good discounted clearance items. last time i came here, i got good quality spatulas for only $1 each. read more

I do not shop much and when I do I like to be quick (in and out). I do not know if it is the location but the people there are rude and look like they hate their job. I purchased some clothes on a weekend, worst thing too do. There were so many people and customers with kids. I purchased a item and did not try it on at the store my fault. When going back to exchange for a new size I was rejected due to it looked worn. The price tags and original mfg tags were on both pieces (shirt & short). They told me to go back where I bought the items from and they could not help me. Where else can I have bought them from? I asked for the manager and she smelled the clothes and said I can not put this back on my floor. I took the clothes and bounced. I can't say enough great things about the staff at this store. They support high school students with disabilities. In fact, the Marshalls/ TJ Maxx companies participate in a program allowing high school students with disabilities an opportunity to gain work experience. Joann, Rocio and Jazmine (just to name a few) are amazing trainers and have hired students with disabilities when other businesses wouldn't. That alone should be applauded. I had previously purchase a gym bag at a different location. When I arrived home I noticed the bag I purchased was missing the big strap. I went to marshalls to exchange it for the same bag but one with the strap. I had the receipt and tags attached. When I found the same bag and nothing was missing I headed to the register. The gentleman helping me was very courteous and helpful. He called someone in management to get an approval for the exchange. Soon after a woman comes over and says she couldn't make the exchange because it was missing the strap so she called her manager (when the guy had originally called for a manger), She was very rude and kept asking me where the strap was. I explained that I had purchased the bag at a different location and I didn't noticed the strap was missing until I got home. When the manager finally came over she also asked me where the strap was. I explained to her the same thing that I had already explained to two other employees. She also said they couldn't exchange it without a missing part. I told her I didn't notice it was missing until I got home. She proceeded to ask where the strap was, and why didn't I ask for a discount...again I told her it was missing when I bought it and I didn't notice until I got home. All I wanted was to exchange it for the same bag and they made such a big deal over something that was sold to me that way. When it should have been an even exchange, they had to return the item and charge it again with a difference. I was very unpleased by the help I received by the two management personals, and how they kept asking where the strap was as if I just wanted an extra strap for no reason, and how the whole thing was handled at this location. read more
