So we checked out Modesto farmer's market the following weekend and viola, this is what we were looking for. Plenty of choices and quite a nice variety. The honeys are ready to be eaten the day you purchase them. The orange the same. These melons are the sweetest you will ever taste! I think from time to time Fresh Market and and Whole Foods sell them. We eat at least 2 large size honey or orange dews a week They are also known as King Of The West Each melon is labeled Turlock. The asparagus from the Peacock Farm was so fabulous that I returned this morning determined to purchase more (only two bunches remained among all asparagus available .. and I again chose Peacock's)! But, the amazing thing is that I live for the day when "King of the West" honeydew's arrive at Publix in July or so ... and I know from the day Publix opened its first store in our fair city that we can count on Turlock's to get these melons this far east! Publix pretty much has a monopoly on these special melons, although I have seen an occasional KOW melon in a rival grocery. The pumpkins are clean, fairly priced, and there's a fantastic selection--from HUGE pumpkins to cute little decorative ones. I loved that there were tons of photo opportunities all around the patch, making it easy to capture those picture-perfect autumn memories. The farm stand is adorable and well-stocked, and there's even a little snack shack for treats and drinks. For the kids (and kids at heart), there's a small petting zoo and a fun haunted maze, which added to the whole experience without being overwhelming. One of the best things about this spot is that it's not overly crowded or hectic like a lot of other pumpkin patches, so you can actually relax and enjoy your visit. It's definitely worth the drive for a wholesome, festive, and family-friendly pumpkin-picking adventure. Highly recommend!

Can't imagine how the girls make it 8 to 10 hours a day in that heat one would think they would at least wear shorts to stay cooler. We have been to other fruit stands in hotter areas that use a misting system to keep the interior at least 10 to 20° cooler without any moisture or water on the floor. Speaking for ourselves, we would spend more time shopping if the temperatures were more pleasant don't need AC, but just something to kind of break the temperature a bit. A high pressure misting system would keep the employees more comfortable and the shoppers and results. They'd probably spend more money. Next time we go, we're gonna buy the girls shorts so I can keep cool.

The owner offered us complimentary cold water bottles after which was sweet of her. They have a little mini haunted house which is appropriate for kids ! I wish they would have had food when we went , but we went pretty early in the season . I believe they only have food on weekends. I would def recommend a visit for the maze and pumpkins. Go when the weather is cool and the food is there !

The prices inside the store are honestly ridiculous. Everything from chips and drinks to toys and basic necessities is marked up to an unreasonable level. Families already spend a lot just to stay at the resort, and once you're there, it feels like you're trapped paying inflated prices for every little thing your kids want or need. There's no consideration for affordability or for the average family trying to give their children a good time without going broke. The laundromat was another huge disappointment. Machines barely worked, several looked out of service, and the area was dirty and poorly maintained. For a family resort where people stay multiple days, that's unacceptable. What makes this frustrating is that the employees themselves are amazing. The staff were friendly, hardworking, patient with guests, and clearly doing the best they can under poor management decisions. The workers deserve far better pay and appreciation because they are the only reason this place still has a positive atmosphere. Management seriously needs to rethink the pricing, maintenance, and overall customer experience instead of treating families like walking wallets. Corporate is a whole bunch of investors. Who think it's OK not to care with families feel like our so they make every soda five dollars and every toy which does not make any sense to top it off. The waterpark is closed and the activity rooms are closed. Still pay full price. Is not family friendly environment do not come unless you have your money and you're willing to spend the least 200 to 300 bucks on extra stuff. Toilet paper, boiling washing, bacon, eggs.
