This review is for the massage therapist Yahaira. My husband Pablo has seen her 3 times now. Yahaira has been giving him deep tissue massages that have been really helping with all his aches and pains. He was having a hard time lifting one of his shoulders due to pain and tightness, his range of motion was very limited in that one shoulder. After seeing Yahaira he has full range of motion back in that arm and shoulder. Pablo has been to many massage therapist and is very picky; so for him to rave about Yahaira and say how awesome she is, is a true testimony to how good she is at her job. I have been coming here for over 6 months now, when I first started and had suffered a pretty serious work injury that had temporarily limited my mobility. I couldn't stand up straight, couldn't lay down flat to get a comfortable sleep, and was having problems walking due to a major back injury. Dr. Martin is Super Knowledgeable, his staff is phenomenal friendly and attentive to your needs. During my treatment I tried other chiropractors closer to home and closer to my work but always found myself taking that little extra drive to his office. I am so glad that I have someone so amazing that is covered by my insurance. I know back injuries puts you in for the long haul but I am at least at ease knowing that I have someone there that knows what they are doing and take the right steps to making you feel better. This is a review of the staff but not of the services as I haven't experienced it myself. I was calling around trying to find a chiropractor closer to my home which my insurance would cover and called Martin Chiropractic based on a referral. Upon speaking to the receptionist about my situation and how I needed an insurance check she told me that "she wasn't psychic" and wouldn't be able to tell me what my policy covers. Staff at other chiropractors were very helpful and did an insurance check for me when I gave them the necessary information and even followed up further to confirm what would be covered and what wouldn't be covered based on their individual charges and fees. Not only did the receptionist rude and condescending she told me I should make the call to my insurance as if I'm fully knowledgeable of their rates and fees. Begrudgingly she finally agreed to call to double check but at that point I was already done speaking to her. I believe basic manners is a given for any decent human being and she failed to do so and represented the facility poorly. The idea of her greeting me at every adjustment I would need (which is quite often) seemed horrid, so I will not be giving them my business which is unfortunate since I had heard such good things. read more

Love the services here and accessibility of making appointments same day if needed. Dr. Martin makes chiropractic adjustments based on my needs for the day after having a briefing with me. The heat and electrode therapy to initiate the muscles before treatment just makes sense. In the past my chiropractor hadn't taken time for this. The massage therapist listens too... she helped me with a sciatica issue. They often run massage specials which make these appointments even easier to do back-to-back. I haven't been thrilled with reception- they usually present themselves unprofessionally; chatting about personal things w/o regard to the waiting room sharing the space, usually dressed down. I had pulled a muscle in my behind and could not walk without extreme pain. I was shuffling slowly and had already been in pain for 3 weeks without improvement. Went here for some Low Back Issues in August. Usually Go To Empire But they decided to stop taking my Kaiser Insurance. When going through the Electrotherapy Muscle Massage part, I made an attempt to make small talk with the Brunette Female attendant. My Intent was merely just to break Ice. She treated me as if I was The Walking Dead and didn't even reply. HUGE MISTAKE FOR A BUSINESS. I don't give a Crap how bad I hurt, I will treat myself, go back to my previous Chiropractor, or just let Kaiser Deal with me. As a Human Being I get it from ALL ANGLES. My Son, My Wife, the Driver In the Next Car and Occasionally people in my Profession as well as my Patients. I will not Subject Myself to Bad Energy. Anyhow, I have been seen by Dr.Martin before and know him as one of the Best in his field. Is he worth his Employees treating me as a No Count. No. I think Not. I had been going to this chiro for several years and had been very happy, (5 star happy) but the last few years I grew increasingly dissatisfied. It has been over a year since I have been here. What I really liked was the easy appointments, availability, walk-ins, and amazing in-house massage therapist. Most of the employees are nice. One in particular, though, could use a hug. Perhaps she's depressed or just not a people-person. Although she was not rude, she was quite cold and always called me the wrong name. Dr. Martin is a good person and good chiro but has gotten in too big of a hurry and could tone down the work-outs. I like the efficiency of how everything is ran, but it has gotten sloppy. The therapy tables are not cleaned and always reek of cologne , oils and perfume! Having been a migraine sufferer with sinus issues and allergies, this is the worst thing to deal with! Dr. Martin is a strong man but has seriously bulked up over the years and a lot stronger than he realizes. The last couple years I had been more sore than usual after appointments and really dreaded the neck adjustments because I was sure he was going to twist my head off. But this is not why I stopped going. I had stopped going for several months, but had an injury and needed to go back. I explained what happened and without even taking an xray, he adjusted me. I went for several more visits but wasn't feeling quite right. It had gotten too expensive as well so I stopped going. Although they do take insurance, they are reasonable if you just pay cash. What I never understood is how my deductible was MORE than what they charge for a cash patient! Why not disclose that? Just because I see a dr in Chino Hills doesn't mean I live there, too! I'm not rich! No matter how many times I tried to debate that, I got some confident, yet nonsensical answers. Actually, every time I questioned their billing practices they became quite argumentative. I have been seeing another chiro who is cheaper and actually took the time to do some xrays and read over my health issues and found out that I have some definite problems. It is very likely that the injury I had previously was made worse by the adjustments I had initially gotten because this is the second dr to bring this to my attention. Dr. Martin & staff, please take some extra time to clean the tables well, do less strength training, take xrays after new injuries, don't get defensive about finances, and please, before putting your patient into a funny/compromising position to do an adjustment, please EXPLAIN it first. It's easy to assume that because a person is walking upright that they have no issues; physical, mental, emotional or otherwise. And please take the time to read and have patients update their medical records. A lot of things were overlooked with me so I'm writing this so you don't overlook anyone else. Also, if your patient requests to see your other chiropractor because they liked his adjustments better, you should not deny them! I would still come here if I could see the other guy. I seen him once when Dr. M wasn't available and he did better with me. Peace. read more

Ok this place deserves the highest praise that can possibly be given. First of all, the office staff are always friendly and polite. They make good conversation and keep everyone laughing. Before being adjusted by Dr. Martin, you can lay down in a dark and quiet room and have a therapy session done with a tens unit to loosen everything up. Dr Martin is absolutely amazing. He takes a personal interest in his patients and uses techniques to improve each individual patient's discomfort. I personally suffer from lower back tightness and severe nerve pain in my neck and shoulders. I have experienced great relief since I have started seeing Dr. Martin. It is easier to get through my days because I have experienced such a reduction in my pain. I saw another chiropractor before him, and had no improvement, so I am forever grateful that I found this office and have the ability to see Dr. Martin for my care. read more

Ok first off I was scared to death to go to a chiropractor.. but I also wanted relief from my pain and did not want to be pumped with meds. I have been going here for over a month. Dr. Martin came Highly reccomended to me by at least 10 people. SO I thought OK OK I will go. I am soo glad I did. I am feeling so much better. I have a shoulder injury from surfing, but also had 2 pinched nerves in my neck a few discs out of whack in my back and 2 ribs out of alignment. IT is crazy how much better I feel. Yes I had to go quite a bit at first. (Thank Goodness they took my insurance.) BUT it really did help. I am not 100% pain free. I am still under care. BUT I am better and can start slowly doing the stuff I love again, Surfing and Running. Dr. Martin is very nice and really good at what he does. His Office staff is great too. Very friendly. The office is clean and welcoming. I was a little worried about it being in what is considered "industrial building area" But looks are deceiving. They are just buildings. This place is great. I had horrible back pain for almost a year due to a football injury and I was never the same after it. I tried physical therapy, but honestly it was a total waste of time for me. It did help a little bit, however a few hours later the same pain would return. Once it was a year of having pain I decided to look to a Chiropractor. Unfortunately for a while I had to look at different people, because of how expensive many of the places were. It also didn't help that most places don't accept most people's insurance which really angered me. Don't get me wrong the people seem good hearted, but the problem I had was that they all wanted to put me on almost a year plan that cost thousands of dollars, and on top of that they had me before I even started talking to them about the plans they had me run tests for almost a few hundred. I understand that their specialized so it would be more expensive but that was to ridiculous. Then I found this place and decided to check it out, and I was surprised when I was their because I didn't have an appointment and in about 10 minutes I was called in and spoke with the the Chiropractor right away and he did an exam of my back without charging for bull crap tests like the other places. Right away on that day we got started and it was amazing my back felt great relief. Not just for a few hours but the entire day and afterwards I began my treatment and I was done with my treatment in less then 3 months unlike all the other places, and I was told to come whenever and I likes how ever time I came in i waited the most 5 minutes to get it in was great and its almost a year later and I have absolutely no back problems today I would recommend this place to anyone with any kinds of back problems. read more

I've been going to Dr. Martin on and off for almost 13 years...this office has been great to me for many years. Very compassionate as I have come in with extreme pain and they always would fit me in. My medical doctor just gave me something to treat my neck and back pain but I don't really want to take pain meds.
