Brewery #425 Martin House makes beers the way a brewery should; fun, inventive, delicious, and crazy. They probably had 25 (complete guess off of memory) beers on tap with a few of them being seltzers. They have really good IPA's, PHENOMENAL dessert stouts, and fun beers of other styles. Martin House was so good, I went back for a second flight plus bought a bunch of canned beers to take home. They had a Smores Stout (delicious), Texas Sheet Cake Stout (equally delicious), a Pumpkin Cheesecake Stout (not for me but interesting), and a King of the Mountain Porter (chocolately). I have never had 4 porters/stouts in the same sitting, but MH makes such good ones that I had to. Their IPA's were solid with the Invaders being my favorite. The Wicked Wolf blonde Ale made with peanut butter, and I think marshmallow fluff was probably my favorite beer amongst the 8 I tried. Phenomenally good. The craziest beer I tried was the Best Maid Mustard Relish. It's exactly what you think it would be but not as bad. They should make it in shot form though because anything more is too much. The only thing lacking was food. I assume they have food trucks from time to time but not while I was there. No matter their beer makes up for it so just eat before you come. read more

Oh Martin House how I wish parking was easier! I've ended up not going to a couple of things becuse the lot filled up and I couldn't figure out a good place to park! To your credit that must mean you are doing something right! With fun events; I mean at a Ninja Turtle themed event someone showed up in a full Ninja Turtle costume. I've always liked their beers but this was my first time visiting in person! Huge space with lots of parking and a nice outdoor area in the back. Lively interior with families and groups of just adults alike with lots of cool beer flavors and decor items. The Saturday we went they had a wristband event where you could get like 4 beers for around $21 or something like that. Beware no flights on wristbands days!! We had a fun family afternoon here! Beautiful green grounds by the Trinity for a nice play space for kids & for adults to sip & watch over. Nicely covered large patio and stage. Loved the choice of beers. Very helpful staff. Cheerful environment where beer is ordered with places to sit and chill inside. The cherry vanilla porter was just the right amount of flavor as was my passion fruit sour. Food truck is a nice option if wanting to eat. I've visited Martin House Brewing a few times now and have consistently had a great experience. The venue itself is huge, open, and perfect for hanging out, and the beer selection is where they really shine. Their lineup of year-round staples is excellent -- that's usually where I stick -- but they're also known for their wildly creative small-batch brews. We're talking buffalo wing, pizza, and all kinds of wonderfully weird, funky flavors. They clearly have fun with what they do, and it shows. They also offer a big variety of sours, so if that's your thing, you're going to love this place. Food truck in the back had great smoked chicken! What we really loved were the people that were in there. They were outgoing and kind. We brought our dog and as long as it doesn't bark or pee on the barrels, it is welcome inside. It has a great feel to it and the design is very homie. Kind of cowboyish. My husband had two IPAs that were very good and I had a blonde that was also very good. We will definitely be back! I almost forgot one of the most important things! this place is more like a 4.5 out of 5 stars. I can definitely see myself coming back here. I've been wanted to check this place out for a while. I shop at trader joes frequently, and always see beer from this brewery sold at trader joes. The interesting flavors and decorative cans/designs won me over. Honestly, whomever designs the art work for the cans needs a raise/promotion. when we went, it was fairly crowded, but not too packed to grab a seat. We ended up getting a flight of a lot of different beers. they have a lot of different types, so you'll definitely find something for everyone. Sours, Stouts, lager, seltzer etc. I also tried the pickle sour beer, and let me say. wow.... so glad i tried a sample here, and will definitely be picking up some the next time i go to trader joes. They also have food outside, where you can order inside from an ipad. PS: This is not too far from top golf. I recommend getting drinks here, and then going to top golf and enjoying yourself. Why am I paying full price for draft pours when the bartenders are serving me pours from open cans in their fridge? I paid $7+tip for a can of Me Gusta to be poured into a room temperature glass, meanwhile they're selling four packs of the same beer for $7.99! I thought maybe that was a fluke, and perhaps that specific tap was down, so I ordered a smaller pour of Dairyland Special, hoping this time it would come from the tap. Nope! The bartender poured it from an open can in the fridge again. Don't charge draft prices at the bar if you're going to pour canned beer instead. It's called a TAP room for a reason. read more

This is a very cool brewery with beautiful art on their walls. We decided to go for a flight since they have very interesting flavors. The beers are very creative but for me we're well balanced. My wife had been meaning to check out Martin house, and finally a group of her friends decided to meet up during one of Martin House' special events. During the event they offered a deal that was $20 for four pours; and a glass in this events case; which works out if you want to try a lot, or if you want to split two drinks between a couple. Parking can get kind of insane in this area during an event, not sure how it is during a slower day. I feel like we kind of lucked into a spot when we had found their behind the patio lot full and had started to head elsewhere to find parking ... we had found a spot along the side of the building. Our friends had to park a bit further out. During this event they had vendors, a food truck, an ice cream truck, etc. They did open up a side spot to get drinks but with a more limited selection than the main serving area. Not sure we'd want to come during an event again due to crowd but the wrist band deal might make it to where that is the main time my wife's friends would want to come. read more

We went on a day where they had wristbands. It's $15 for a wristband and you get 4 pours and a souvenir glass to take home! It's definitely worth it if you're a drinker. Unfortunately I'm not, but the flavors were so interesting that my curiosity was piqued. I went for the half pours. I hear they have flights on some days. That definitely sounds more my speed so it would be cool to go back for that. If you're looking for food, there was a food truck around. I hear these food trucks rotate so it might not always be the same. You can always check on their website to see which truck is gonna be around. Speaking of things that rotate, they also have some special beers that are not permanently on their menu so be sure to try those before they're gone! Those are also listed on the website if you like to plan ahead. There are a lot of tables inside and outside, but I hear it gets crowded. We got there when it opened and snagged a table, but I was surprised to see how many people were already there before us. Cons: parking is limited (consider ride-sharing or taxi), and the tasting room is often jam-packed on weekends. This is my go to brewery in DFW. If Im in Ft Worth, I always try to make a visit. Im a little biased, because I love sour beers, and this place speacializes in them. They often make some wacky, off the wall flavors that keep me intrigued and excitement for the novelty. This place will not be for everyone, especially if youre not adventurous or dont like sours. What a great time! Martinhouse held a Metalfest featuring 3 local bands...free! We took our 15 yo granddaughter and friend. We enjoyed having an amazing beer/cider against the city backdrop.
