This was my first visit and it will definitely not be my last. Ashley's years of color expertise and careful listening skills left me with the most gorgeous hair I have had in years. The salon is small and private and looks out upon a beautiful courtyard with orchids and other lovely plants. Because it is a small salon there is no noise or chitter chatter going on in the background from other stylists or customers which led to a very calm and relaxing experience. This salon is easily $100-$125 more expensive just because of the area it's in, keep that in mind. Overall, I would give my hair a 6 out of 10 and my experience a 4 out of 10. I got a partial "balayage" and hair cut, and at this point I know that some salons don't do actual hair painting, it's basically sporadically placed color, and while the color itself is fine, I don't anticipate this growing out as well as it has other times I've gotten my hair done - I can tell because I've been getting my hair done for 20+ years at this point so that's a little unfortunate. But aside from this, I would have appreciated if she let me know she was charging me for more color - other salons haven't done this as often, but they do let me know when they do. Even with full "balayage" at other places, I haven't always been charged for more color so this was unexpected. Even if she just gave me a heads up though, I would have appreciated it. The haircut was very basic and simple even though I asked for long layers. The blow dry was also "okay" - I ended up going home and adding more volume into it myself. Most importantly though - the stylist was not engaging at all. I'm a new customer, she didn't ask anything about me. Made no effort to put in conversation with me. It is so unlike any experience I've had at a hair salon. I even asked her questions to get the ball rolling and there was barely anything back. 3-4 hours in a salon chair is a long time for such lack of conversation, it's very disappointing. Like I said - my experience wasn't "bad" or "horrible" but I am not going back and I would not recommend the salon.

Absolutely incredible experience. I am a busy mom of 4 young ones and I don't think I have had so…read moremuch silence in years! I could have spent the entire day here. Everything here is clean and everyone is respectful. You check in and they give you a water and a key to a locker. The locker rooms are clean and each have towels and a super comfy robe. After changing you get to explore. We started with the sauna which has a wall of Himalayan salts. It was packed when we first went in yet despite how many people were in there the room is completely silent. After the sauna we headed over to the cold plunge- they have two options, cold and cool. Probably about and 10-15 degree difference in temperature, both were perfect to plunge in after the sauna. Then we warmed back up in the hot tubs, which again they have two options, warm and hot. We also went into the steam rooms which were great for my husband who was congested at the time. The eucalyptus and steam helped him so much and smells great! There are also fire pits to sit by and enjoy and zero gravity chairs which are in a room with some wonderful relaxing music. The silence policy is very strictly followed which was amazing. I think my favorite aspect of this concept is that even polite courtesies which are typically expected when around strangers are not expected. Everyone is respectful without feeling the need to say anything. It's was so refreshing. There was only one group at one point of 5 young girls all enjoying the hot tub and chatting quite loudly ( we could hear them from inside the sauna) but seems like maybe someone said something to them because when we passed by them later on they were still talking but whispering. Other than that I don't think I heard a word from anyone the entire time. I just wish we had been able to get massages, we booked this last minute (our fault) and everything was full. Next time (and there will definitely be a next time) we will get massages! Yet even without a massage I still left feeling as though we had had one, that's how relaxed we were.
