The only reason this place is worth two stars is because the food is good . The service however is terrible. Our server David spent more time talking to another server than tending to his customers. He forgot our drinks , a glass of wine and a hot tea . We were over even asking again because we could clearly tell it was hopeless . The restaurant was not busy at all and I understand that the kitchen is under staffed but that should not reflect the lack of service from the servers. We were tired of the AYCE sushi spots in Rancho and decided to branch out. Found out they just opened and decided to give it a try. We figured since the newer the place the fresher the seafood. Upon arrival we decided to scope out the place from a far before deciding to dine in. We requested sushi bar since a big portion of it looked to be available, but the lady told us no because that's where the sushi chefs place out the food that was ready to be served, but upon observation that's not what they were doing. OH WELL. There were about 6 other parties dining aside from us. Started off with oysters on a half shell. Disappointed they didn't serve or offer lemon, so I had to add soy with a hint of wasabi for some acidity and heat. Their Nigiri sushi was good, but their baked rolls are overly drenched with mayo and unagi. Yuck, a reason why I usually never order these but to each their own, right? Our FAVORITES were the SEARED CAJUN SALMON, and SEARED CAJUN TUNA (my personal favorite of the 2). The gentlemen that was helping us seemed to be more attentive, however no one bothered to refill my hot water for me w/o having to ask. Our meal total along with one YELP $2 off check-in plus we ordered 1 Asahi was around $53 and some change. I believe it's $23.95/person for Dinner. I show up around 7 and write my name down on the paper as the host walks over to the stand. I'm waiting outside 20 minutes when a guy walks in and back out yelling this is ridiculous just so you guys know I've been waiting an hour and they just told me it's gonna be another 40 mins. I go inside to ask for an ETA since most people left and the host says sorry we're not taking any more dine-in. He saw me put my name down and didn't disclosed they weren't taking anymore people. I said but you saw me write my name down and he just shrugged. He didn't care that I was wasting my time standing outside and worse he was unapologetic. This place is very nice, super chill, came here for dinner with a couple of friends. And was amazed by everything. Parking was easy its in the parking lot of Marshall and CVS, so parking shouldn't be an issue. When I went they played nice chill music nothing update just nice chill atmosphere. When we got sat our waiter explain the AYCE menu to us and told us about their Happy Hour for their Sake Bomb, only $1 for a one which is amazing! They were really nice offered us a couple favorites of their like the Philadelphia Roll. After we wrote down our order our server took our order and food just started coming out one by one. Super fast and super filling. Great service they would come check up on us frequently asking if we needed anything else and refilled drinks without even having to ask. Service was above par in my opinion. The fish was amazing, taste wise there are some better than other. Personally for rolls the Philadelphia Rolls was excellent the cream cheese in it made that pop! Hand rolls you cant go wrong with the spider hand roll, that was probably my favorite spider hand roll I had in a while. The sashimi was amazing too, for one rice to fish ratio was great a small good amount of rice, but a large piece of fish to compliment it. First time here with my wife all you can eat $36 a person. Sushi at mediocre at best. Cuts of fish are thin with it a lot of RICE. We had baked mussels we couldnt finish it to hard. We were there just as it opened and couldnt be happier with the results. We got to sit wherever we wanted and the service was quick. I was skeptical of this place at first because where it was located, the location is in sort of a bank, pharmacy and other food places around. Although, interestingly enough the inside was quiet welcoming. The AYCE menu is extremely extensive and their are even non rice dishes but don't let that fool you the portions are extremely huge. I would suggest to order the spicy items first like spicy crab or tuna - I never complain about spicy food but it was too spicy for me and by the time we had realized it was towards the end of our food and we couldn't cancel. Ok so we are regulars here. We were coming once a week for a few months. This location is not local for us so it's a big deal that we would travel here. With that said, we had the worst sushi experience. My something in my sashimi was so hard it hit the roof of my mouth and it felt like a cut. No idea how that even happened. On top of that it was not fresh. We also ordered some cut rolls and the first thing we noticed is the rice. It was unevenly cooked some parts hard and uncooked others were ok. My shrimp boat had something hard in it as well. Everything was also did not look presentable. Rolls were brought out all messed up, extremely large pieces. On average my husband and i can eat up to 10 rolls together, we ordered 4 and all of which were not decently made. ** Let me just add here that the pictures posted look nothing like what i was served today. It was thick with gross rice and thick pieces of avocado. I wasn't going to write a review but i had to say something because when i told my waitress that the rice had been coming out hard she reported it and nothing was done. Horrible!!!!!! Sat at the table for over 30 minutes and no food! I mean given there was only one chef at the time which we understood but to see other people get their food is ridiculous! The ayce sushi was worth it, I love unagi and they had rolls that have unagi in it. This place used to be amazing. I've been coming here a couple years now and the food and service was pretty good. The last 3 times it was: ok at best, bad and horrible. The service has been non existent at one point i thought everyone had left or was on break. We had sushi come out warm and room temp and went almost an entire meal without reviving the drinks. The final straw was when we ordered A.Y.C.E for 2 adults and one child. We ordered 4 items on the 1st round. We were the only guests in the building and 35 minutes later, the 1st roll shows up. Another 15 min later the second roll. 20 more minutes and nothing else shows up, not even the waiter. We had been there over an hour and not even received the 1st round. I went over and found the waiter and let him know we had to go and were out of time. I asked if we can just pay for the 2 rolls we had since we never even got a full "round" he says "sure". Not only did he not do that, we were charged for 3 adult AYCE not even the 1 kids and 2 adult. To this day i am still awaiting my refund. I don't recommend going back. I only gave it a second star because it used to be good to us. read more

I'm from the high desert... we don't have many sushi places up here. However, they are definitely better quality than this. I order 4 different rolls and an appetizer. The appetizer being the jalapeño dish basically was Mayo and mushed stuffings. The rolls were flavorless :( I hate being so negative about restaurants.
