Love the matcha! This place is getting four stars strictly because of the service. The girl at the register was not happy to be there. She was honestly kind of rude. Her saving grace was the nice gentleman that was making our drinks. He was smiling and made our drinks quickly. All that said, this is probably one of my favorite matchas I've had by far. My drink was the yuzu matcha soda, so good! Sometimes I don't want a matcha latte (milk or non dairy milk) so this was perfect. We went at a weird hour (after dinner) so it was quiet but I hear the lines can get pretty long, especially at their new location. Hope they open more locations I love their matcha so much

Been wanting to try this place for so long! Only reason I gave them one less star is because their soft serve machine was out of order and they didn't have a few items on their menu that I wanted :( (i.e., ube, soft serve and cones) The shop is a cute set up and reminds me of Japan. The strawberry matcha latte was really good and I definitely want to go back and try again when the soft serve machine is working.

Cute little store down at beach walk Waikīkī. The drink was pretty good. If you're a matcha lover here's a place to visit.

Cute shop that offers many drink options. Matcha pistachio latte $8 - I got this less sweet. I couldn't really taste the pistachio but still a good matcha latte. Black sesame hojicha latte $8.50 - I prefer this drink. Also did less sweet, toasty and the sesame didn't overpower the drink. We parked at Longs. I would come again to try the soft serve!

Maruwu is another new matcha spot in Waikiki from the mainland! They're one of my fave spots to grab matcha in the Bay Area. When my friend came to visit me in California, I took her there, and she liked it. When I came back to Oahu, she took me here, so funny. The shop is a bit hidden and tucked away. The space is quite small, with enough room to stand and wait in line to order. After ordering, you wait and take your drink to-go once it's ready. The shop is decked out in a bunch of Maruwu items. As well as a big menu and all their specials listed. Service was quite fast, considering we were one of the only customers. For my drink, I got their Velvet Soy Matcha with Oat Milk. It had a great earthy quality. The cream top was subtle and sweet, adding more depth to the drink. The soy tofu wasn't my personal favorite texture and taste-wise, but if you enjoy that, you'd probably like the drink. I do like their other matcha drinks as they're all very tasty. There are lots of matcha shops in Waikiki. I'm happy that Maruwu Seicha landed in Honolulu, and it's worth a visit for locals or tourists if you like matcha. Parking is a bit tricky since they're off Beach Walk.

I finally tried their Ube Latte Max; Max as it comes with a matcha snow cap. It was excellent...to the max...plus...ultra. Best ube beverage that I've had. Earthy from the yam and tea leaves...and at half-sweet...perfect. No fake syrups. I got it to go - there really isn't any place to consume your beverage even if you wanted to stay at Maruwu Seicha. Another location is set to open this Summer in Mō'ili'ili. Parking is horrible on Beach Walk.

The matcha and hojicha drinks are delicious, and the ice cream is very creamy and yummy, but there is nowhere to sit and hang out with friends. I have tried several drinks here, and my top picks are the matcha latte with snow top or the black sesame hojicha latte. Everything has tasted great so far, so you truly can't go wrong with any of the drinks or ice cream here. This location is only for a quick grab-n-go drink or dessert. If you want a more relaxed cafe vibe with tables and places to study, you will definitely have to go somewhere else.

The beach walk has very limited street parking. There is paid parking close by if you're willing to walk over. The service was quick and prompt. It's a cute little place where you can order drinks and be on your way. Due to the small space there is limited seating. The matcha drinks are amazing. They do offer alternative milks if you're seeking a drink that is dairy free. I like the regular matcha drinks and the strawberry matcha the best! It's not too sweet and has an excellent matcha taste.

A solid but pricey matcha. I've been hunting for the best matcha on the island and Maruwu Seicha had been on my list for a while. We were finally in Waikiki one day, so I decided to check it out. To my knowledge, there's not really any parking nearby, so I would tack this place on when you're in the area. I ordered an iced matcha latte with oat milk and the vanilla soft serve and it came out to around $11.50. Yes, I ate ice cream before lunch lol, but I really wanted to try the float. We came around 10:30ish on a Saturday and there was no line or other people waiting. The drink came out pretty fast. I really liked the matcha flavor and the ice cream, but the drink had a lot of ice. Was it worth it? I wouldn't go out of my way again but I do think this was a good drink!

Went there on Sunday, found out they have new item - pistachio matcha latte, I gave it a try. No regret, it's sooooo good! Black Sesame Hojicha - 10/10 - must try, very strong black sesame flavor and you can adjust the sweetness. Matcha Latte - 10/10 - very strong matcha flavor Pistachio Matcha Latte - 10/10 - strong Matcha and nutty flavor. You can also adjust the sweetness. Ube Matcha Latte - 10/10 - not over sweetness and love the ube flavor Everything is good! I love it! Must try!

One of the few BEST MATCHA locations I've found in Oahu by far! My brother and I temporary parked our car in the small road right in-front of the shop and turned on our blinker lights (most people do it and it's totally fine haha) Fresh ingredients and tasted authentic. We got Strawberry Matcha latte with Matcha soft serve and Hojicha Latte with Hokkaido soft serve. (Got too excited to try it and forgot to take a photo) So delicious!!! The matcha soft serve was SO satisfying and really hit the spot when you want that *rich* matcha flavor. The Hojicha latte was rich and more on the strong side, like a Vietnamese coffee type of "strong". Amazing! A hidden gem! Friendly+Helpful staffs! Can't wait to try more of their selections like the Matcha soda and the flavored cheese tarts!

Hokkaido Milk Soft Serve ($7.50 as of 3/2026)
    Alyssa G.

Cute place that might be a little hard to find if you're not using something like Google or Apple Maps. Easier to spot when you're heading down the same street it's on due to the huge green soft serve cone on display- also makes for a good photo ops with your drink and/soft serve! There's only one chair located inside, and the shop itself is really small so this is more of a takeout shop. The menu is a little smaller compared to cafes I'm used to going to, but it looks like they are more focused on making matcha drinks which makes sense since that's what they're known for. So... I ended up getting their Hokkaido soft serve in a cup (they ran out of cones) but that's mostly because my friends like matcha a lot while I've never been a fan. In terms of how the Hokkaido soft serve tasted though, it was like tasting a sweet but not sweet ice cream version of condensed milk if that makes any sense. It was $7.50 so it was a little pricy for what it was but they did give a good amount of soft serve!

I tried this place in NorCal, but it was already right across the street from where we were having dinner (Ginza Bairin), so why not! It's extremely close by. Walking up to the front, you can't really notice it off the bat, but the sign on the store helps with finding it. I went ahead and tried the mango matcha latte, which was exclusively here in Hawaii. We also got the Yuzu Matcha Soda, but my bf sister didn't really like it lol. I didn't get to try it, but she said it was too much Yuzu flavor. She did say it grew on her the longer she kept it on her hand and just sipping it. The mango matcha latte however, was really nice! The mango was really fresh, matcha was quite creamy and rich. I really enjoyed it! I just had to try a Hawaii exclusive here. The store itself is very small, it's basically only suitable for to-go drinks. Not much of a cafe, so no sitting around.

We luckily found parking along kapahulu so tried 2 new places: Aburiya Ibushi (9:30pm) and Cha To Gelato Zen (10:30pm). As we walked back to our car, we walked past Zen and noticed it was packed. And it was a Tuesday night! Great that there was a menu on the door so we could see what the excitement was all about. Appeared to be fancy matcha drinks and desserts with a gelato bar. Decided since we had free parking and the line didn't seem too long, grabbing a gelato to take home shouldn't take long. There was only 1 person working to serve the entire restaurant! She had to make every fancy dessert! Omg. But as I watched her, I realized that she was so sweet to everyone and worked very efficiently. We actually did not wait long at all, as there were only 3 orders ahead of us. When it was our turn, she let us sample the gelato flavors. We ended up buying twice as many scoops because they were all so delicious! Not cheap but tasty! We got the azuki (creamy because it's mixed with marscopone), black sesame, miso (taste kinda like caramel), and seasonal watermelon (only for August). The matcha chocolate was very unique. Didnt try the mango. My fav was the watermelon, which was more of a sorbet than gelato. Will definitely return to try their other desserts!

The service here was super nice as well! The staff was really thoughtful and insightful when helping me figure out which drink to choose. Huge shoutout for their operating hours, too--this was honestly the latest I've ever been able to do a matcha run, which is a massive plus when a late-night craving hits. As for the drink itself, the matcha I ended up getting didn't stick out to me quite as much as I expected based on other reviews. It was decent, just not a standout star on this particular visit. That said, with how great the staff, vibe, and hours are, I'm sure if I go back and try a different option, I'll find a drink that hits the spot. Definitely planning to give them another visit!

The ordering process was easy thanks to their amazing staff. Their guidance from online ordering to communication over the phone and text, they made our event successful and memorable. There was 5 of us , with a moderate appetite. So, We went with two orders of the "Catering - Sandwiches TO GO" and one order of the "Catering - Scones TO GO". Then our choice of their teas: 1oz Sakura Cherry Rose and 1oz of their Cookies and Cream, which is great with milk and sugar btw. 1oz =at least 12 pours of the tea. If you want 2oz =24 pours of tea. The sandwiches were also delicious, a cute tiny bite of flavor. Which to this day I wish I ordered more since I'm more of a savory girlie. You can choose the sandwiches from their catering or seasonal menu and it comes in 4 pieces. We ordered: Sandwich flavors 24 pieces 1 Sweet egg salad (4) 1 Smoked Salmon with Dill Creme (4) 1 Nutella & Strawberry (4) 1 roasted veggies & hummus (4) 1 Crab & Cheese (4) 1 Cucumber & Avocado (4) My personal Favorites were the Smoked Salmon with Dill Crème and Roasted veggies & Hummus. The scones only available flavors were vanilla bean & earl grey and it also comes with potted cream and jam packed in a to-go cup. If you decide to host a little tea party with your girlfriends, I highly recommend trying them out.

Parking is always difficult in Chinatown but we both scored meter parking on Nuuanu St not too far from 1024. Walked in and was pleasantly surprised by how cute and kitschy the place looked! There was a group of 3 adorable little girls being patiently taught by a parent how to sip their tea and enjoy the courses. They were dressed like princesses with tiaras and I loved that this place created that type of atmosphere. I wish I had dressed up more! You get to choose your own tea cup and matching plate from various areas and chose one tea that they will refill throughout the tea service. I opted for the Buckingham Palace (Earl Grey and rose?) I think. Would love to try their pu'erh tea options next time! The lunch menu for afternoon tea is so reasonably priced and starts with a salad, two flavors of scones with sweetened clotted cream and a strawberry jam, then 6 finger sandwiches and 3 dessert bites. I will say that the food was a relatively even hit or miss on taste but I did prefer the savory sandwiches to the final dessert options. It's heavy on the carbs but that's afternoon tea for you! Such a fun option in Hawaii if you want to lean into the whimsy and magic of tea time!
